Star Feather has no past. He has no friends or family (to his knowledge) and has no home to go to. Celestia is practically mourning her lost sister despite her still being alive in the moon, she sees Luna in this strange young pegasus and takes pity on him.

Sunset Shimmer is the pupil of Celestia and the star of her magic class. She isn't the nicest filly however, and doesn't take kindly to this new kid stealing the attention of Celestia.

This is the story of these ponies and more on a journey to find their purpose in life.
