First Date/Celestia's victory
Hello, my name Is Jay. I have sandy brown hair that is usually in a curly mess, but i try to keep it cropped short. I’m a few centimeters taller than princess Celestia.
I heard the quiet clip clop of hooves pass in front of the door where i was hiding. I slowly put my hand on the door knob of the closet while pushing a coat out from in front of me. After a moments hesitation i opened the door and lunged at the midnight blue alicorn, who shrieked and fell backwards in surprise. I laughed quietly before going to work.
“Luna, Luna, Luna.” I said with a grin.
She looked at me fearfully, that is until I started tickling her sides. she flailed her legs around before trying to use her magic. A feather duster appeared and then disappeared as i realized what she was doing, and i began tickling her harder.
“Surrender!” I cried out.
“N-n-never!” Luna said back before she laughed again.
after a couple minutes of me torchering my favorite princess, i stopped tickling her and sat down next to her.
Luna saw this and took a moment to recover, then she tackled me. I wasn't really expecting it, but i was a nice surprise when i found the lunar princess looking into my eyes while she was splayed out on top of me. She pinned my hands down with her hooves before whispering in my ear, “thou hast won this night, but we shall see about the next one.”
I shivered involuntarily at that, but when luna rolled off of my chest and she snuggled on to my side, all i did was smile.
we stayed like that for some time. we just talked, but after a few hours, Luna had to raise the moon. i groaned as i sat up before helping Luna up.
“will thou meet us-” Luna paused, “meet me, in my bedroom?”
I smile and nod before walking down the hall and making a turn. I went into Luna’s bedroom, where i nearly ran into princess Celestia.
“Hello Jay, may i have a word?” she asked politely.
“alright.” i say as i walk over to the bed with her.
we both sit down on the comfy mattress, “so what do you think of Luna?” she asks.
i think for a moment, “umm, she’s funny, kind, and, well, rather beautiful.” i say, beginning to blush.
Celestia nodded, as if that was what she expected me to say. “Ask her out.” she said suddenly.
I looked at her sharply, “what?”
“ask her out.” She repeats again.
“why?”
“you two have fallen asleep next to each other every night after you first week here. She is obviously interested in you, and you in her.” she stated as if it were a well known fact.
“hey, its not my fault that my nightmares cause Luna to dream walk. Which only works if she is near me.” i said defensively.
Celestia looks at me with disbelief painted across her face. “Luna can dream walk without keeping contact with you.”
I blush as i realize what she was implying, “She told you that so you would stay with her.” Celestia said.
“really?” i said confused, “are you sure?”
Celestia looked at before swiftly smacking me on the head. “ouch.” i said deadpanned.
Celestia glared at me for being sarcastic, “shut up. When Luna walks in here, you are going to politely ask her to join you for dinner at the restaurant that i made reservations at, then you two shall go on a romantic walk through the royal gardens tomorrow night.”
“Is that an order, Sunbutt?” i said, challenging her.
hey, i never said i was smart, i just don't like being told what to do.
The solar princess actually growled at me when i used her rude nickname. “and if it is?” she said with quiet intensity.
i took a small step forward, trying to show some dominance, only to be gripped with magic and held upside down.
After a moment of struggling, I started to focus. It took too long, but i managed to break out of her hold on me. “Fine, but if she turns me down, then what.” i said to the solar princess.
“that won't happen.” Celestia said confidently.
Luna walk in the room before i could send a retort back to Celestia. i turned and a smile wormed its way onto my face. Celestia nudged me and i took a step in Luna direction, “Luna, i was wondering if you would like to accompany me on a date tomorrow evening.” i said.
Luna looked at me with a confused expression, “It is not kind to joke in such a manner.” she said with her head tilted.
“I wasnt joking, but if you dont want to go, it okay.” i said.
Luna took a long look at me, as if she didn't believe that i would have asked her on a date. “looks like she’s gonna say no.” i thought to myself.
Luna decided that i wasnt kidding as i was lost in my own thoughts. she snapped me out of my reverie by saying in a loud tone, “Of course I would, i thought you would never ask!”
Celestia grinned at me as Luna crashed into me, giving me a flying hug.
I frowned at her as Luna pulled herself out of my tangled limbs. I was then grabbed by Celestia and dragged out into the hall, “Damn it, you were right, i was wrong.” i say in a dejected tone. “But on the bright side, Luna and i are going on a date.”
Celestia clucks at me, “And what are you going to wear?” she asked.
“ummm.” i stutter, i didn't really have any nice clothing.
“Good thing i got you some presentible clothes.” Celestia says.
I frown and ask rather hesitantly, “Why are you doing this?”
“Because I’m tired of the two of you never doing anything.”
“i think i might hate that reason.” i mutter.
Celestia grins a little more, making me try to frown some more. Luna burst out into the hall, interrupting my attempts at hiding my bad mood, “Tia, i need you!” she said loudly.
i winced a little, but Celestia gave a light push down the hall to where my room was, “we got mare stuff to do, scram.” she said while walking into Luna’s room.
Luna smiled at me and closed the door. I shook my head and went down to my room. When i opened the door, there was a new suit folded and on my bed. i smiled lightly before laying down on my bed, careful to avoid the folded clothes. i then realized how tired i was, it was nearly eight o’clock. i yawned and promptly passed out.
In Jay’s Dreamscape
I was running through a forest in the blackest night. I didn't know why i was running, until i heard a soft patter of foot steps gaining on me. I sped up, still dodging the few trees that were in my way. after a moment, i saw the edge of the forest. i ran out at full speed into a field of tall waving yellow grass. i glanced behind myself in time to see three dark humanoid blurs running to me. they were small, like children, but i saw they had clawed hands. that was all i needed to make me speed up. i ran for a bit longer before i tripped on a lump of dirt. they were on me in second. they surrounded me, glaring down.
they all had grey smoke rising off of their skin, making them indistinguishable from one another. i saw those gruesome claws again. then they all spoke as one. “We are your past sins.” in a rasping voice.
I didnt remember anything from my past life, the oldest memory i have is of me waking up in a field with Luna looking over me with a concerned look.
“Get back!” I yelled as i lashed out. i lept up and kicked one in the chest. but the one thing that happened was my foot hitting what felt like solid stone.
i moved back to the middle of the small circle. i waited for what felt like an eternity until they all raised their claw hands at once. they were all swinging down as i heard a scream.
Outside of Jay’s Dreamscape
I woke in a cold sweat with Luna standing over me. “Jay, art thou alright?” she asked panicked.
“Yeah, what happened?” i asked.
“You almost died!” Luna said, some what calmed down.
Celestia walked in the room. she walked over to me before reaching out a foot and lightly kicking me. “Hurry up and get ready, you two have a date.” she said.
I moaned and Luna looked concerned. “Tia, do you think that we should still go on this date?” she asked.
“Yes, now come with me Luna, you need to get ready. And you,” Celestia looked at me, “get ready.”
I grumbled for a moment before rolling out of bed and looking at the clock, i had slept for a little over 13 hours, it was now 9:15.
i jumped out of bed and yaked off my shirt as the duo walked out of my room. as i ran to the bathroom, i finished undressing. I turned on the shower after a moment of waiting, jumped in. it was a little cool, but not to bad.
Once i had finished getting ready, i walked out of the room and down the hall and down to Luna’s room. i nervously straightened out my jacket before i knocked on her door. “Stop being so nervous, Jay!” I scolded myself in my head, “It’s just Luna.”
Luna opened the door and peaked her head out. she smiled when she saw me and opened the door all the way, revealing what she was wearing.
Luna was in a midnight blue dress with sparkles on it. it was simple, but on her… my brain just went dead. Celestia saw my blank expression and laughed a little.
i snapped out of my daze and smiled back at Luna. Celestia stood to the side as if she was presenting Luna.
Luna walked over to me and i brushed a piece of her flowing mane, it gave me the same tingling feeling as it always did. I placed my hand her back and together we walked out if the door together.
We both were a bit giddy, even though we were each others best friends. Luna knew everything about me, although I had no memories other than what i had gained in Equestria.
It was a really short walk to the restaurant, and when we came inside, the staff did not act nervous or scared at all. as if they served royalty every week.
the rest of the dinner went by fast, we really didn't talk much, we just ate our food in silence, our eyes meeting at random intervals. as i was paying the waiter, a loud voice made itself known.
“What do you mean there are no tables open?” Blueblood said loudly. “I demand that you make one available!”
Luna groaned, “you want to go out the back?” I suggested.
“nay, Blueblood won't dare to ruin this evening.” Luna said confidently.
we walked up past the sign in area, and that was where Blueblood spotted us. “Aunty, what are you doing with that thing?” he said motioning to me, “never the less, perhaps you could convince the manager allow royalty access to one of these tables.”
“Blueblood, did you make a reservation?” Luna asked patiently.
“No. why would I?” Blueblood seemed appalled that Luna would even mention that.
Luna sighed and shook her head in defeat. “Come now Jay, what other activities do you have planned for this evening” she said to me as we walked out of the restaurant together.
behind us, Blueblood called frantically, “Aunty, where are you going?”
Luna just sped up and i lead her in the direction of the castle, “How often do you explore the castle?” I asked.
“Not as much as i would find enjoyable.” she answered.
I smiled as the castle came into view. “Because somepony suggested that we check out the gardens.” I say.
We passed a guard at the gate and another as we came near the large courtyard where the garden was. each guard had a thinly veiled look of disgust on their faces as we passed.
The look on Luna’s face when we both stepped out in the gardens made it all worth it.
Celestia had taken over for Luna tonight with raising the moon and placing the stars for tonight. Sunbutt had kinda trolled us in a way. she had arranged the stars to spell, “KISS HER!” and the moon was abnormally bright, casting a light glow on the silver flowers that had sprung from some vines that had grown on one of the castle walls. Several other patches of flowers grew at seemingly random intervals on the ground, but when i examined them closer, they formed a path of sorts.
I placed my hand on Luna’s back as we walked through the garden, she relaxed when my hand touched her back. We were both smiling as we slowly moved closer to a tree that seemed to be the center of the garden.
it was a cherry tree in full bloom, some of it’s pink petals fell as a warm breeze rolled by. a few of the silky pedals brushed me as we walked, one caressed my cheek in its free fall.
when we got near the tree, a single pedal fell and i watched it’s small journey to Luna’s nose. she blew it off and it feel to the ground, twisting it’s way through the air.
Luna suddenly looked up at me, “Jay, I heard some colts ask one another how they liked another fillie. his response was that he “like liked” her. how to do like me?”
I turned so that we where looking at each other in the eyes, “Luna, I “Like Like” you.” I said.
Luna smiles slightly and I remember Celestia’s writing in the sky, “KISS HER!”. in almost a daze, I lean down and lightly peck Luna’s lips. She stares at me when i pull away, “I’m sorry.” I said.
Luna places a hoof on my chest and stands up on her hind legs before kissing you back. another warm breeze blows, makes a flurry of the pedals fly off and surround you in a vortex of moonlight pink.
“dont apologize Jay, i had hoped for that for some time now.” Luna says after we break apart. the rest of the evening was in a hazy state, we walked back inside and part ways at her door. “I’ll see you tomorrow night.” She says, still smiling.
“of course.” I respond, also smiling.
I walked into my room to see a triumphant looking Celestia sitting on my bed. “Did you get my message?” she asks curiously.
I sigh, knowing what was coming next, “Yeah i did, what do you want?” I say, knowing that I am about to be questioned for a long time.
“Oh nothing much, just every little detail.” she chirps.
“how about a deal, I tell you about the good stuff, then tomorrow, i tell you the rest.” I say hopefully.
“Fine.” Celestia says, surprising me somewhat.
I spend about a half hour telling her about the gardens, and when she hears my description of the kiss, she frowns, “Really, just two kisses, I thought that you two would be in a full make out session.” she said.
I face palm and pick her up. she squawks in a very undignified manner as I drop her out outside of my room, “Night.” I say before closing my door and getting into my pajamas. i hop into bed and promply fall asleep.
