Stories that are proven to be unreal. Stories that would contain magical monsters and supernatural demons that would never be true. In the land of Equestria however, these stories are anything but false. If a pony were to come up to you and ask you, “What is a Vampony?” What would your response be? Some ponies my say things like, “They are a supernatural being that does not exist.” Some may even say, “They are a dangerous race of ponies that should be put down.” And others would brush you off and tell you to leave. But even after this, the question still remains, what is a Vampony? Now I want you to forget everything that you know about Vamponies or Vampires or werewolves or any other supernatural being. Because none of it is true. We all hear stories every day. We read fiction every day. But is what we read true or not. Vamponies are real. And what they are, is simple to answer. But it is also complicated to say. The most simple answer would be, “They are a race of ponies with supernatural powers.” But is that really what they are? I know that they are a lot more than that. That they are more than just monsters. While some may see them as monsters, and some may see them as a being that needs to be put down. I see them as just a normal pony in life. When ponies read this story, I know that most of them will probably just put the book down and never pick it back up. Why, I don’t know. Maybe it’s because they don’t want to hear a story about fiction. They don’t believe that I know all of this, or it could be that this story has no ending. But how does one tell a story that has no ending to it. All I’m writing is what I was told. I don’t know the ending. It could be any number of things. They could have all gotten killed, and I would never have known. They could have ran away, and I would not have been told. But most of this story was told to me by somepony else. A Vampony herself. This is her story. The day before she disappeared and was never heard from again. Shee came to me and told me her story. After it was told, she and her friends were never heard from again. I wish this story had an ending to it. But alas, it doesn’t. But it could still be told. Somepony would just have to make up their own ending. But when I tell you this story, I want you to listen, and think. Because everything will not be as it seems. No some of you may be putting the story down at this point. But why? I know that it could be the writing, or it could be the way the story flows. Or it could even be, you just don’t want to read it because of the way the words are put together. But why would you put the story down? Why would you step away from a book that you know, can be good. A book that can live up to what people expect from it. Don’t just stop on the first chapter. Don’t stop reading a book you think is bad. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, or the description, or even by the way these words are put together. Judge it on it’s concept. For who knows, this story could be the story that changes your thoughts on the world of darkness, despair, and corruption. Even after all that I have said. There is still much to be said. Still so many words that need to be typed. I plan to tell it to you all. I plan to tell you how it happened. I plan to tell you the real story of the Vamponies. This story, is the story told to me, word for word, about six little ponies who were never heard from again. The story of a wise bookworm, a kind guardian, a beautiful blood-sucker, a gang member, a family mare, and a crazy inventor. The story that was never meant to be told. The board has been set. The pieces are in play Let the game begin. Author's Note This may not be the best redone chapter. If it doesn't work out, I sill have the original. Edited by Blue Ice Tales Don't forget to review. No Flames!!! Chapter 2 - A Wise Bookworm (Redone)In The Dark Prologue Chapter 2 - A Wise Bookworm Spells, Clan origins, Clan powers, she was looking over it all. All the legends, all the information of Vamponies. All looking for one thing. “Hey Twilight. Any luck,” said a voice behind her. She turned to see her ghoul, Spike, standing in the doorway of the Library. Unlike most stories heard about them, Ghouls are the most non-violent of the dark world. Ghouls, what they essentially are, are regular humans that are given Vampony powers. They can’t suck blood, or have all of the powers, but they do have the strength and other abilities. They can also live forever just like a Vampony. But what sets them apart from Vamponies is that they can go out during the day. The young, or young looking to be accurate, purple mare sighed and said, “No Spike, nothing. I looked in every book looking for any information on the Blood Elements, but I can’t find anything. Maximilian Rich gave me this task to complete for him, but, it’s starting to annoy me. It shouldn't be that hard to find a simple book or passage on something so old. I mean, every single old book, dating back to the 2nd century is here. Why is this so HARD!!!” “Twilight, you need to calm yourself. Why did Maximilian give you this job to begin with?” “No clue. All he told me to do was go to his personal Library and find a book on the Blood Elements.” “You need some help,” Spiked asked. “That would be very useful, Thank you Spike,” Twilight responded with a smile. Spike started looking through piles of books in hopes to find something useful. Twilight on the other hoof started to search the shelves for the book. As they looked through countless numbers of books, finding absolutely nothing, they were about to give up and call it quits. Until Spike noticed something out of the ordinary. While looking through a rather large pile of books on the other side of the library, he noticed one that shouldn’t have been there. It was a Black book that had a very unique pattern on it. He picked up the book and ran back over to Twilight. “Hey Twilight, I think I may have found something,” he said. Twilight walked over to him and looked at the book. It was titled, “Blood, Death, Destruction. The story of Vamponies.” “It’s in this book,” she questioned. Spike nodded and flipped open the book to a certain page. She skimmed through the pages, until she reached the information she was looking for. She read out loud. “The Blood Elements are powerful gems that are based off the Elements of Harmony. Each Element holds, just like the regular Elements, a special name that a Vampony represents. These Elements are: Betrayal, Brutality, Dishonesty, Fear, Malevolent and Blood. Each Element is a mirror to the Elements of Harmony; Generosity, Honesty, Laughter, Kindness, Loyalty and Magic. These Elements would not just go with any pony who represented that trait. Each element, either blood or harmony, has some sort of mystical power that, when a certain pony would come along, it would attach itself to that pony.” Twilight looked over the passage a few more times. “It can’t just end there, can it?” “Why don’t we take the book back to Maximilian,” suggested Spike. Twilight nodded. She put the book in her saddlebag and they both went to Maximilian’s quarters. Twilight took her time walking to Maximilian’s quarters. She slowly trotted down the halls of the Mansion that she lived in. She passed by many rooms of the home. She lived on the fifth floor of the house. As she was walking through the halls, passed lots of old pony armor from the late 1500’s, paintings of old ponies as far back as the 1600’s, and, her favorite part, all of the old age books on display. The books were usually copies that only so many now exist that Maximilian didn’t want to keep in the library as they would probably break. So he kept them on display in the mansion halls. This mansion has been collecting all of this stuff for years. In the day, the mansion was known as Filthy Rich’s Mansion in Canterlot. At night, however, it was the house of the Tremere clan. All Tremeres that were embraced under Maximilian Rich, live in this mansion. Maximilian in question, is a Vampony lord. Vampony lords are powerful, age old Vamponies that have lived hundreds of thousands of years. Some have been around longer than others. Vampony lords hold the most knowledgeable and are incredibly powerful. Inside Maximilian’s quarters, was very exquisite. Having four wooden bookshelves, a rare Milton coffee table and side tables, and two leather chairs with the wood increased with gold. There was a knock on his door. “Come in,” he said. Twilight opened up the door to see Maximilian sitting on one of the chairs, wearing one of his luxury, fabric robes, reading a book by the fire, drinking a glass of blood. Maximilian turned his head to see twilight walk in. “Ah, young Twilight Sparkle. Please come in, sit. We have a lot to talk about.” He motioned for her to sit in the other chair across from him. She did so promptly. “So I take it the book find was a success.” She pulled the book out from her bag and set it on the table. “Yes I did. However after reading a short passage, it seems incomplete.” Maximilian sighed. “Yes it is rather a short passage. There is one thing that you should know, that the book left out. The blood elements and the harmony elements are more than just the book claims them to be. You see, a long time ago, even before Celestia and Luna were born, or their parents, or their parents before them, their were two different types of rulers. One of Darkness, one of Light. The Dark ruler, Alirasia created six gems out of his own personality and powers, the blood elements. The Light ruler, Sherina did the same thing, these were the elements of harmony. Back in the day, both rulers ruled the land we now call Equestria. However, Alirasia, wanted to rule over the land himself alone. He also wanted to create his own group of ponies. Sherina saw this as a plan to overthrow the balance of harmony they worked so hard to create. So he went rogue and created the elements. When she caught word of this, she created her own elements to use against him. When he returned to put his plan into action, they did battle. It was a battle of light and darkness, corruption and tranquility. The battle went on for many days and nights, until light triumphed over darkness. When Alirasia was defeated, Sherina took his soul and locked it in a sarcophagus, locked it with his own elements and sent it somewhere, where nopony would be able to find it. After that, she scattered the elements and she ruled over the land until her days were done.” Twilight just sat there in awe, “Damn.” Maximilian chuckled. “I agree. Damn. There is a reason why I asked you to look for that book and know this history. It’s because, I believe that history is going to repeat itself.” Maximilian got up, went to his bookshelf, grabbed a box, came back to his chair and sat back down. “Earlier today, my daughter, Diamond Tiara, and her marefriend, Silver Spoon, went on an archaeological dig for me. They came back this evening, covered in dirt and this box.” As Maximilian opened the box, Spike spoke up, “I thought Diamond and Silver were both Vamponies.” Once Maximilian got the box open, he responded. “No she is not. While they are familiar with the Vamponies, she is not one of them. I still needed someone to run the Rich industry during the day. Seeing how, I can’t do it myself, I entrusted it to her and her marefriend.” Maximilian set the open box on the book and pulled out what looked to be a millennia old mini wheel. “This is the key to the sarcophagus. Yes this key will open the sarcophagus, but it is incomplete. It needs the six blood elements in the key to work properly.” Twilight took the stone and looked at it closely. Sure enough, on the face of the stone, were six indents. All different shapes. She put it down and looked at Maximilian. “What do you want me to do with this?” “When my daughters returned to me, I made immediate contact with Luna. She stated that she would like to see the stone herself. So I’m sending you to her.” “You're saying that I should leave the mansion. A place where I have lived and trained and studied my entire life.” “Yes I am. Twilight, I have trained you and taught you everything I know about the world we live in. You are more than ready. I know most Tremeres don’t leave the mansion that often. Most of them, stay isolated for their centuries. But when something big comes up, we are called to action. We all must leave sometime. Let this be your time. For may not have another.” Twilight sighed, “Alright.” As Twilight got up and left, Spike following behind, Maximilian spoke up one more time. “Remember this Twilight. Wherever we go, it is the blood of Harmony that makes our fate.” Twilight gave a confused look to Maximilian. “What does that mean?” “You will find out soon enough.” Twilight let the matter drop and she walked out of the room. “Farewell Vampony.” Maximilian said. The game begins. A pawn is moved. Author's Note Don't forget to review. No Flames!!! Edited by: Basic Information Chapter 3 - A Kind GuardianIn The Dark Prologue Prologue 3 - A Kind Guardian In the world of darkness, Vamponies need a place to stay. They don’t stay in coffins like the books say they do, no most Vamponies live in homes, just like normal ponies. The main difference being that most homes they live in don’t have windows, or have very few at the least. Their homes also vary in location. Some are located in middles of towns, some are located in the sky, while others, might just not be near the town at all. This is one of those cases. It was broad daylight outside in the small town of Ponyville. Ponies left and right were going about on their way to wherever they needed to go. Whether it would be work, or school, or the shopping district, they were going somewhere. Out off all of these ponies, one was different. Trotting along in Ponyville square was a white mare. She had red flowing mane and tail with white stripes, and her cutie mark was that of a rose. She had her saddle bags strapped onto her tightly, so the item inside wouldn’t fall out. She walked along with a smile on her face headed towards the Carousel Boutique. When she arrived, she softly pushed on the door and let herself in. The bell above the door rung to announce her arrival. “One moment,” a young voice yelled in the back of the store. The alabaster mare looked around at the many colored dresses, gowns, and suits in the store. “Rarity sure does some fine work,” the white mare thought to herself. As she continued to look around, she heard hoofsteps behind her. She turned around to see a teenage Unicorn mare behind her. This mare had a white coat, and medium longish pink and purple mane and tail. Her cutie mark was of a microphone with a heart around it. The Unicorn looked up at the mare and smiled, “Hello Rose Blade.” “Hey Sweetie Belle,” Rose replied. “How have you been?” “Good. And yourself?” “Never better,” Rose smiled. Sweetie motioned for Rose to follow her and she did. The walked into the adjoining kitchen and sat at the nearby table. “So, what brings you here today,” asked Sweetie Belle. Rose opened up her saddle bag and pulled out a leather box. “Good thing I wasn’t stopped in the middle of town with this. I would have probably gotten arrested.” Sweetie Belle looked at the box wondering what it was. “It’s for your sister,” Rose spoke up. “It’s from Fluttershy.” Sweetie Belle used her magic to open it up. After a quick look on the inside, she gasped, and closed the box. She looked up at Rose. “Why the hell would my sister need this,” She said in a shocked tone. “I have no clue,” Rose said with an apologetic tone. “All I know is that Fluttershy asked me to deliver this to you, so you can give it to your sister.” “I understand getting blood delivered to our home, but not this!” “I know it’s not what you were expecting, but I can’t question Fluttershy. And you shouldn’t question you sisters intentions. We both must follow their orders. They did make us Gouls after all.” “That’s true. I know she’s kind and all but...i’m just worried what she will do with this.” Rose got up and put a hoof on Sweetie’s shoulder and smiled. “All we can hope is that nothing bad will happen.” Sweetie sighed, “You’re right.” Rose nodded. “I must be getting back to the cottage. Have a good day Sweetie Belle.” “You too Rose Blade.” Sweetie waved a hoof goodbye and Rose saw herself out. As Rose returned to the cottage, she noticed that all of the animals were gathered at the bridge. Rose, with a worried look on her face, quickly ran over to see what was wrong. She made her way through many animals, until reaching the center of the circle. She looked down and saw that there was a rat, on the ground, missing a leg. “Oh, dear Celestia, you poor thing. Here, let’s take you inside,” said Rose. As they made their way inside, most of the animals followed. The larger ones, stayed outside. Rose quickly set the Rat on the table and went over to the first-aid kit. She grabbed some badges, string, and a needle. She made her way back to the rat and started operation. Being Fluttershy’s ghoul, she gained some of her traits. Mostly the ones about tending to the animals. Rose had also developed a softer voice, than before she was a ghoul, and she also gained the ability to talk to and understand animals. She was almost the little sister equivalent to Fluttershy As she started by stitching up the wound where the leg was missing, she finally asked the question, “How did this happen?” The rat started to squeak out the response in a painful tone. After the stitches where done, Rose responded. “So let me get this straight. On a walk outside the cottage, somehow you managed to get your leg caught in a hole and then a rock fell on top of it. Then you pulled on your leg so hard that it ripped off?” The rat nodded to this statement. “As unbelievable as that sounds, Fluttershy is still not going to be happy with me that I let one of her precious animals get hurt like that.” Rose wrapped some linen bandages around the rat, and set it in it’s bed. She left a note for Fluttershy explaining what happened and started on with the rest of her day. She started off by feeding the rest of the animals, cleaning up the house, making sure all of the water filters were filled, making sure that there was enough blood in the fridge, and lastly, cleaning all the cages. By the end of it all, the moon was starting to rise. Rose did her nightly task and tucked all the animals in bed. She also checked up on the rat, who was sound asleep. She then made her way over to the couch and plopped down on it. She fell asleep instantly. About thirty minutes of absolute silence later, there was a glow on the lock of the front door. The sound of magic spun around inside the lock, eventually clicking. The door silently opened and a pony wearing a cape, hood and soft boots walked in. The pony looked and saw Rose lying on the couch. It looked at her and then looked around for any more spots of life. Once it was satisfied that it was alone, the pony grabbed a large bag from underneath his cape, and used his magic to move Rose inside the bag and lift tie it up. He then throw the bag on his back and ran off, leaving the door opened. Out in the middle of the equestrian fields, two more ponies, and some wood, lie and wait. They hear hoofsteps in the distance and look up. They see their friend in the distance, jogging up to them with a bag on his back. “Did you get her,” the mare said in a scratchy voice “Yes Veleta, I did,” Said the stallion in a deep panting tone. The stallion dropped the bag, opened it and pulled the pony out. “This is the mare that lives at the cottage,” he said. “She slept the whole ride over. She must have taken some sort of pill to make her sleep longer.” “Good work Jaken,” Said the other stallion in a wise tone. “Your skills are becoming, irreplaceable.” The mare chuckled and lowered her hood. She was a tan unicorn with short brown mane scars all over her face. “I must agree with Temple. You are becoming indispensable.” She got up close to his face. “Another good job like this and I might just give you a go at me,” She said slyly and she turned around and brushed her long tail in his face. Jaken blushed at this jester. “My Friends, please. Now is not the time for that.” Temple lowered his hood. He was a grey pony with a scar over his right eye. He had black spiney mane and white tipped hooves. “We must hurry before we are discovered. Jaken, please set up the wood. Veleta, keep a watchful eye out as we prepare to finish this vampony off for good.” “Yes Leader Temple,” said Veleta as she walked off. After about ten minutes of moving wood around, they finally finished. The final structure turned out to be a small wooden cage. “I’ll get Veleta,” said Temple. Temple walked off and Jaken started to drag Rose over to the cage. He opened the door to it and throw her in. He shut the gate and locked it. Temple returned and levitated over a torch. Veleta pulled out her torch and she lit all three of them. The all lifted their heads up and said in unison, “We the Circle of the Sun, must vanquish those who are evil and cleanse the land that is tainted.” At this moment a moan came from the cage. The three ponies looked down and saw that Rose had stirred awake. Rose looked around, and quickly got scared. She gasped multiple times and tried to get out, but was unable to. She looked up at the three ponies looking down at her. “Who are you,” She demanded. “We are ponies from the Circle of the Sun,” Temple responded. “Circle of the Sun? Whatever just let me out!” “Sorry Vampony. That’s not going to happen. You are a possessed being and need to be put down. Don’t worry though, your real soul will live on in the afterlife. While you're possessed soul will be destroyed,” said Veleta reassuringly. “N-No! I’m not a Vampony! You can’t do this,” Screamed Rose. “Silence! Don’t try to buy your way out of this. Now, my followers,” said Temple. The three ponies raised their torches and through them onto the wooden cage. It caught fire instantly. Rose screamed at the top of her lungs as the cage burned. Due to the small cage, the fire quickly reached her mane, and caught fire. She tried to put it out, but it was no use. The fire continued to spread and more of her body caught on fire. Soon, she was burning all over. She was still unable to get out of the cage with the fire forming a ring around her. As she continued to burn, her skin gave off small crackles and pops. Veleta looked over to Rose’s right hindhoof and saw that her leg bone was showing. Veleta quickly turned away. As the fire continued and the pony burned, off in the distance another pony rushed in. “ROSE,” the pony screamed. Veleta, Jaken and Temple quickly turned around and saw a yellow pony behind them. She had long flowing pink mane and tale, she was wearing black leather clothing, and she, what looked like to be vine tattoos going up and around her body. Temple stepped forward, “Who are you,” he demanded. As Rose tossed and turned she was finally able to get herself out of the cage. She fell over and onto the ground. She looked over to wear the ponies were standing and tried to speak. “Flu….Fluter...help…,” her voice said in a very weak tone. The yellow pony just stood there in shock. “I can’t believe it...the pony i’ve taken care of since birth. My ghoul and best friend. And these three…,” the pony thought in shock. She turned her gaze toward the three ponies again. She closed her eyes, and opened them again; changing her eye color from teal to red. “Ugg…,” Temple said as his eyes widened and he looked down. Veleta and Jaken moved back. Temple continued to stutter. The yellow pony approached him. “You monster. You killed my ghoul, one I swore to protect. I will make you suffer like she did. I am Fluttershy. Now DIE!” As she screamed those words, Temple screamed at the top of his lungs. He looked down and saw that his skin was starting to be ripped from his body. Skin started to come off and blood poured out of his body. His face skin started to ripped apart as well. With blood flowing out of his nose, mouth and eyes and onto the ground. Fluttershy squinted her eyes more and Temple’s eyeballs shot out of his head. His horn was broken in half, and his mane was torn out his head with the scalp and skin still attached. Fluttershy’s eyes squinted one more time and the bones inside Temple’s neck started to rearrange themselves. In the matter of three seconds, all of his bones were sticking out of his mouth. And one bone, went right through his forehead. At that moment, Temple stopped screaming and fell over. “I am known as the kind guardian to everypony. But when you kill my friends, or family, I will kill you in return,” Said Fluttershy confidently. Fluttershy’s eyes returned to normal and she looked around for the other two. They were no where to be found. Fluttershy quickly made her way over to Rose and looked down at her. Rose’s white body was now grey and black. She had burn marks all over her body and blood. Her bones were showing and there was a pool of blood everywhere. Fluttershy’s eyes started to water up and she broke down crying. “I’m...so...sorry,” she said in between sobs. “I wish I could have done more.” As she sobbed by her dead friend, another pony appeared behind her. Fluttershy looked behind her and gasped at who it was. “You, what are you doing here?” The mare behind her repositioned herself and looked at the body behind Fluttershy. The mare looked at Fluttershy and said in an elegant voice “I’m sorry for your loss. Come with me, Rarity would like to see you.” Fluttershy turned to her dead ghoul one last time and sighed. “Alright. There’s nothing more I can do here. Let’s go.” And the two ponies trotted off. Out a little ways into the field, Veleta and Jaken stood out of breath from running away. Veleta moved over to Jaken and smacked him across the face with her hoof. “Ow,” he said as he hit the ground. “The fuck was that for?” “You idiot! You grabbed the wrong pony!” “I didn’t know who was the right or wrong pony! We weren't given a picture or anything to go off of. Not even a name!” Jaken got up. “All we knew was that we had to get the pony from the cottage. That was all.” Veleta looked down at her hoofs. “I know. But we lost Temple in the progress.” “Well, from what we saw, we now know that the Vamponies are getting stronger. Let’s report back what happened.” Veleta looked up. “Alright. Let’s move.” The walked off into the rising moon. This night was going to be long. A white pawn has fallen. Author's Note Don't forget to review. No Flames!!! Edited by: Basic Information Chapter 4 - A Beautiful BloodsuckerIn The Dark Prologue Prologue 4 - A Beautiful Blood-Sucker The moon was just starting to rise up into the Equestrian sky. At that hour, a pony was awaking from her beauty sleep. Sitting up in her bed while letting out a small yawn, she took off her sleeping mask and looked around the room. Everything was the way she had left it the previous night. She hopped out of bed and went into the bathroom for a shower. After the shower, she went over to her dresser and pulled out a black scarf, and black leggings. She slipped the leggings on her forehooves, and the scarf around her neck. She lightly brushed her mane, trying to keep it as good as possible, and then left her bedroom. She trotted down the steps of her home, and walked into the kitchen. She stood there and saw her little sister sitting at the table. “Good evening, Rarity,” Said the teenage ghoul. “Good evening Sweetie Belle,” Rarity happily said in return. “Would you like something to eat before going to bed?” “No thank you. Just the usual.” Rarity nodded and grabbed two wine glasses. Rarity then went over to the fridge and pulled out a blood pack from inside. She went over to the counter and grabbed knife, and went back over to the glasses. She first poured the blood pack into the wine glass, and then threw the empty blood pack out. She then began the more complicated process. She took off one of her forehoof leggings, and moved that hoof over the other wine glass. She then levitated the knife over, and quickly slit the leg her forehoof. She let out a quiet, and quick painful gasp, and let her own blood fall into the glass. After the glass was about three quarters of the way full, she moved her hoof away and slipped her legging back on. She levitated the glasses over to the table and sat on the opposite end of Sweetie Belle. “I wish you didn’t have to go through so much pain for me,” Said Sweetie Belle Rarity picked up her glass and started to drink, setting her glass down she gave Sweetie a sincere response' “I know dear, but it’s the only way to keep your ghoul powers active. But don’t worry that much about me. The blood I drink will instantly close up the wound.” Sweetie looked at her sister. “I know but it still pains me to see you in pain.” “Don’t worry Sweetie, I’ll be fine in the long run,” Rarity reassured her sister. Sweetie sighed, “Alright. But I now need to know something.” Rarity looked at Sweetie Belle. “What’s that?” Sweetie Belle lit her horn and levitated the box that Rose delivered earlier that same day over to her. “Rose dropped this off. It’s from Fluttershy. I saw what was inside.” Sweetie Belle got in her sisters face. “Why do you need this?!” Rarity looked away from her sister and sighed. “Do you remember what I told you? About the Circle of the Sun?” Sweetie looked at her sister in confusion. “Yea, I do. But what do they have to do with this?” “Because, my sister, they’re here. According to a dear friend of mine, the ponies of the Circle have started hunting for Vamponies and Ghouls here in Ponyville.” “But Rarity, can’t you fight? You have your hunting knife and your powers. You can Dominate your enemies, you can see their auras, you can destroy and steal their blood. Why do you need this?” Rarity spoke with a sweet voice. “Sweetie, my powers, and skills can only go so far. Against the flame, I’m useless. If they were to put me in front of the sun, I would die. I don’t want that to happen. Which is why I got it, I just want to protect us.” Sweetie Belle sat back in her chair, still levitating the box. “But why this?” “Because, this is now the only way we can survive.” Rarity gets up and walks over to her window, looking out. “What I mean is, we have to find a way to survive. Every day that passes, is another day that we live on. But more and more of our fellow brothers or sisters die, by the hoofs of the Circle.” Rarity takes the box from her sister and opens it. She levitates, out of the box, a stainless steel Colt Python Revolver. She sighs. “I don’t like going to extreme measures. But more and more Vamponies are turning to guns to defend themselves. Technology is moving forward, and we must follow as well.” She sets the gun down. “A war is coming, I can feel it. Between the Vamponies and the Circle. The guns of war are now the only option to defend ourselves” Sweetie Belle spoke up. “But don’t guns hurt Vamponies as much as regular ponies?” Rarity looked at her sister. “Yes, they do. But, as I said, It’s now the only option.” Sweetie Belle looked down. “I’m scared.” Rarity walked over and hugged her little sister. “Don’t worry. I’ll be the one to survive. Trust me.” Sweetie Belle hugged back. “Alright. I trust you.” “Good. Now go to bed. It’s late.” Sweetie Belle nodded and started to walk up to her room. “I love you Rarity” “I love you too Sweetie Belle” Sweetie Belle then left and went to bed. It’s late in the evening, as Rarity is working on the orders of the day. During the day, ponies come in and place orders, to Sweetie Belle, for outfits or repairs to their own outfits. Then at night, Rarity completes all of the orders as quickly and precise as possible. Then she gives them back to Sweetie Belle to give to the customer. Thankfully, none of them question how fast one little filly can get work done so fast. As Rarity continues her work, her door opens and a elegant white unicorn walks in. Rarity doesn’t look up from her work, or even acknowledge that a pony walked through her door at this hour. “You aren’t even going to attack me?” the unicorn asked in a french accent. Rarity didn’t stop working. “If you were a threat, I would have known. My Auspex Discipline is always active when I work” The unicorn rested against the wall and smiled. “Ah, yes. The skill to see auras, I should have known that was active. You never work without it.” Rarity stopped working and looked up at the unicorn. “Yes, you should have, Fleur De Lee.” Fleur looked over at her and chuckled. “You always could find a way to say my name and make it sound like something out of a drama show” Rarity smiled. “So, what brings Canterlot’s most famous Vampony into my shop today?” Fleur’s smile faded. “Nothing good. According to some rumors, a ship is coming in from the great Griffin Kingdom. The ship is believed to be carrying a lot of cargo. Amongst the cargo, there is rumors going around that a Sarcophagus is on board” Rarity looked at Fleur with a confused look. “Who and Why would anyone need a Sarcophagus?” Fleur walked over to Rarity. “This isn’t any old Sarcophagus. It apparently holds the body and soul of the great Vampony lord, Alirasia.” Rarity’s eyes went wide with shock. “They found him, Are you sure?” Fleur shrugged. “I don’t know. But as I said, it’s only a rumor. All I know for sure is that it’s on it’s way to a Museum in Baltimare.” Rarity sat back in her chair. “A museum huh? I really wanted to get a look at it. Just to see if it really was the old Sarcophagus.” Fleur smiled and walked behind to Rarity, and she put her fore hooves on Rarities sides. She moved her muzzle to Rarity’s ear and spoke in a quiet, but seductive tone. “Then it looks like you and I are gonna have to pull off another heist, just like the old days.” Rarity blushed a little at the gesture, and spoke back in the same quiet and seductive tone. “You know my cat burgling days are over. Besides, how would we get in?” Fleur slowly moved her hooves up and down Rarity’s sides. “You leave that to me. I know a few ponies that can get us in. All we have to do, is avoid the security. Get in, look at the Sarcophagus before it goes on display, and then get out. Just like the old days.” Rarity tried to move closer to Fleur. “There was less security back in the day.” Fleur chuckled. “That means more hiding in tight spaces for us. Remember how fun that was for us back then?” Rarity giggled. “Oh yea, I remember.” Fleur gave a quick kiss to Rarity and then moved away from her and walked over to the window. “It will be tough though. Even just to look at a millennia old Sarcophagus” Rarity sat back up in her seat. “When was it ever easy?” Fleur looked out the window. “Fair point.” Rarity continued her work as Fleur stood by the window looking out. After a while, Fleur started to see smoke in the distance. “Rarity dear, what time is it?” Rarity stopped her work again and looked at Fleur. “Around eleven in the evening. Why?” Fleur continued to stare out the window. “What time did you say the Circle of the Sun started to hunt at night?” Rarity thought out loud about that question. “Let’s see...that would be around this time. I think I mentioned that in my last letter to you.” “You did, I was confirming it. I think a Vampony might be in danger” Fleur pointed out the window. Rarity got out of her seat and looked out the window. “That smoke is near Fluttershy’s cottage.” Fleur looked at Rarity. “You don’t think…” Rarity’s eyes went wide again. “Oh no! Go over there and get her away from that area! I would, but I can’t leave my sister alone here. And if the Circle is here, then anypony away from civilization is in extreme danger.” Fleur nodded. “I’ll bring her here. It’ll be safer that way.” “Alright, just tell her I sent you And hurry. If that is Fluttershy...we may not have long.” Fleur nodded and rushed out the door. A few minutes after Fleur left, Rarity went to her kitchen and grabbed the gun again. She looked in the box and found the holster for the gun. She strapped it to her side and holstered the Revolver. She then used her Auspex Discipline and looked around her shop and home. She looked around and saw nothing on her first floor. She then moved her head up and saw the aura of her sleeping sister. She let out a sigh. “Glad to see you’re still…” Before she finished, she saw the aura of another pony, standing in the same room as her sister, with a red aura around the pony. Rarity bolted up the stairs and barged in her sisters room. Before the other pony could react, Rarity quickly tackled the pony. “AHHH!” The pony yelled out as it struggled. “Get off of me you stupid bitch. I have a job to do. And it doesn't involve killing a cunt like yourself” At this point, Rarity could tell this pony was a stallion. But before she could do anything, he picked her up and kicked her in the gut, and into the wall. Rarity fell to the ground, and the stallion’s head illuminated a small glow. A knife is levitated up into the air. “However, I can’t have any witnesses.” He attempted to stab Rarity with the knife. However, it never hit her. Rarity opened up her eyes and looked down at her body, there was no knife mark, or knife. Her body wasn’t stabbed. She looked up at the pony, who was looking down next to Rarity. Rarity moved her head and looked to where the pony was looking. Her eyes went wide. “Sweetie Belle…?” There she was, Sweetie Belle. With a knife sticking out from her side. There she was strewn on the floor, lifeless. She wasn’t moving, Rarity couldn’t even see her breathing for that matter. The pony chuckled. “Such a stupid filly. The knife blade is heated. She’ll burn from the inside out. My work here is done.” Before he could take a single step, the light flashed before his eyes. A loud bang emitted the whole house and outside the house as well. As a small flash emitted with the bang, the Stallions head blew up and blood went all over the room. It hit the wall behind him, the bed next to him, and the dresser to the other side of him. He then fell over dead, and blood started to pour out of his body and on to the floor. The blood quickly turned into a pool as it poured out of him. Against the wall, Rarity has the gun levitated. Smoke is coming from the barrel of the revolver. After a second or two, she dropped the gun, and stared at the corpse. “Burn in hell you bastard.” Rarity then moved over to the filly that was her sister. She pulled the knife out and just buried her face in her sister’s side. Rarity started to cry. “Why did you do that? Why did you sacrifice yourself for me?” Rarity pulled her face away, now covered in blood. She saw the blood of her sister start to pour out of her body more and more. She heard a little grunt and saw her sister open her eyes. Rarity gasped and looked at her sister. “Sweetie Belle! You’re alive!” Sweetie Belle looked up at her sister. “B...barely. I...need...b-blood” Rarity nodded and she slit her wrist. She put the bleeding part to her sisters mouth and Sweetie started to suck up the blood. As she did, her wound began to heal. After the stab was closed, Sweetie got back up. Rarity then smiled at her, and then slapped her. “OW! What the hell was that for?,” Sweetie asked. “Why did you do that? You could have died!” Sweetie met her sister’s eyes with her own. “The power of a ghoul, is always more powerful than a blade. You taught me that.” “I know I did. But he said that the blade was heated.” Sweetie rubbed her side where the stab was. “It was, My internal organs are still burning up some. But, some more blood should heal it right up.” Rarity hugged Sweetie Belle tightly. “I thought I lost you.” “It’ll take more than a blade to kill me sis.” Rarity then heard her front door open. She activated her Auspex Discipline again and looked down beneath her. She saw the aura’s of two ponies that she knew all too well. She then walked downstairs to greet the two ponies. “Fleur! Fluttershy! You’re both alright.” She hugged both mares. Rarity then noticed that Fluttershy had a sad look on her face. “Fluttershy? What’s wrong?” Rarity asked in a concerned voice. Fluttershy didn’t answer. All she did was walk towards the window and sit in front of it. Rarity turned to Fleur. “What happened?” Fleur sighed. “The fire burning was not of Fluttershy, but of her ghoul. The Circle burned Rose alive.” Rarity gasped. “Oh dear, that’s awful.” Rarity then thought for a moment. “I don’t think that the Circle was looking to kill Fluttershy. Right after you left, a Circle member broke in and try to kill Sweetie Belle. I splattered his brains all over the room. She is resting now, trying to recover.” Fleur thought about what Rarity just said for a moment. “Do you think that the Circle is targeting Ghouls now?” “They might be. We should inform one of the Vampony Lords of this, they must know about the Circle’s movements.” Fleur nodded. “Right, I’ll book us a midnight train to get us to Canterlot. We can try to make an appointment with the High Vampony Lord Luna. If not, we can try to find one of the Town lords. If I remember correctly, Ponyville’s lord is away for now?” Rarity nodded. “Yea, Lord Redheart went out of town for an emergency meeting. Let’s just hope that Luna will listen to us.” Fleur looked at the time. “Then let’s move. We have five hours till sun up. Get your sister, and any values that you may need, then meet me by the train station.” Rarity nodded and Fleur left. Rarity then gathered up her knife, gun, and a few blood packs, and put them all in her bag. She strapped her bag to her side and started to leave with Sweetie Belle next to her. “I’m coming with you guys,” A voice said behind her. Rarity turned to see Fluttershy, right behind her with blood on her lips. “I wanna get revenge for what happened to Rose. I wanna destroy everypony in the Circle.” Rarity looked at Fluttershy with a concerned look. “Are you sure?” “Yes, I am. Let’s go.” Fluttershy started to walk out the door. “Oh, and don’t worry about the mess in Sweetie’s room. I already took care of it.” Fluttershy licked her lips and walked to the Train Station, with Rarity and Sweetie Belle following behind. Rarity looked up at the night sky. “Let’s hope this night, isn’t our last” The White Knight moves forward to its destiny. Edited by: Basic Information Prologue 5 - An Ex-gang MemberIn The Dark Prologue Prologue 5- An Ex-gang Member Every pony in equestria has a story, some of these stories are sad, some are happy. In Canterlot, stories are mostly happy. You hear of royal parties, success of businesses, the glitz and glam of the high life ponies, Canterlot is a very happy city. However, below the streets of Canterlot is where sadness goes. Homeless, the criminals in hiding, the ones who just want to go into hiding, it’s all below the streets of Canterlot. The worst part, no pony knows it’s there. Everypony thinks their is nothing more beneath them than a bunch of old sewage lines. But what really lies beneath them is a small town filled with ponies with many sad stories. This one follows one of the saddest. The story of a little filly who could never fly and a master flyer that lost her wing. Trotting through the underground streets was a cyan mare holding a bag in her mouth. She walked all the way down, as far as she could go, to a small tent in the distance. She dropped the bag in front of an orange filly. The bag opened to show scraps of some food, clearly dug from the trash. “Dinner squirt.” The Cyan mare spoke softly to the orange pegasus. The orange pegasus looked at the scraps and slowly walked over and started to eat it. The cyan mare sat and watched her eat as her stomach growled. The filly looked up at her. “Are you not gonna eat again today, Rainbow Dash?” Dash smiled at her. “Sorry squirt, but your health is more important than mine.” The filly looked down, almost about to cry. “B-but you’ll starve yourself…” Dash used her hoof to lift the filly’s head up for them to meet eye level. “Don’t worry about me Scootaloo. You’re more important than food is to me. Scootaloo nodded and went back to eating her food. Just then a few ponies walked up to dash. “Hey Dash, Where’s our cut of the food?” the fiery one said. Dash looked at the few ponies that were there. “Sorry guys. Only enough for one.” The sky blue pony walked up to Dash. “What the fuck?! We send you up for us all and all you get is enough food for that worthless little shit of yours?!” Dash raised her hoof and slammed the pony in the muzzle, knocking her back a few feet and to the ground. “Shut the fuck up Fleetfoot! Don’t you ever call Scoots, a pony I care for more than you, a name like that again!” Fleetfoot rolled over and looked up at Dash. Blood rolling down her muzzle from her nose. She smiled and spoke in a rough tone “You’re right Dash, you’re more worthless than she is. With your missing wing and all, how did you lose it again?” Fleetfoot put her hoof to her chin. “Oh, That’s right! Lost it to Lightning Dust trying to win us bits to pay for food. So much for the epic Rainbow Dash. Losing her wing to a pony that could hardly be considered a flyer to begin with.” She leaned over to Scootaloo. “You hear that you little filly? Looks like your Mom is just a bit more worthless than you are.” With those words, Dash snapped. She pounced onto Fleetfoot and bit at her neck. Fleetfoot’s eyes went wide and her mouth hung open as she started to turn a lighter shade of blue. Blood rolled down the side of her neck and onto the ground as Dash kept her mouth on Fleetfoot’s neck. As she turned almost completely white, Dash growled and ripped her mouth away, pulling a part of Fleetfoot’s neck off with her. Dash looked down at the pony body that now laid there as she spit out the part of the neck onto it. Other ponies looked at her with fear in their eyes. Dash looked up at them and they ran off leaving only Dash, Scoots, and the other two that were with Fleetfoot. The fiery mare walked up to dash and spoke. “I can’t believe you did that.” Dash looked at her with a look that could literally kill. “That bitch had it coming Spitfire. No pony calls my little Scoots worthless.” Dash turned to see Scoots looking at the dead pony with fear. She looked up at Dash, her mentor, her guardian, with fear in her eyes for the first time in her life. Dash tried to approach her. “Scoots I’m-” Before Dash could get another word out, Scoots ran. Ran away from Dash and up the road. “Scoots, Wait!” Dash tried to take pursuit but was tackled by Spitfire who pinned Dash to the ground. “No Rainbow, you’ve done enough. I don’t want you to hurt her” “I’m not going to!” “You already killed Fleetfoot, you killed one of us! As far as i’m concerned, you shouldn’t even be allowed to operate in the Wonderbolt’s gang, let alone live under here.” “So what, You’re gonna kick me out?! After all i did?!” “You’re too Dangerous Dash. You gave into the vampiric beast in you, killing Fleetfoot in the process. To me, you’re too dangerous and need to leave.” Dash shoved Spitfire off of her and spun around. But before Dash could do anything, Spitfire punched Dash in the chest knocking her a good few yards back. Dash coughed up a little blood herself and looked at Spitfire’s hoof which was now glowing a black aura with some lightning sparks around it. Dash coughed again and looked Spitfire in the eyes. “Figured you would use your vampony powers.” Dash jumped up and tried to pounce on Spitfire again. Spitfire, at a lighting fast pace moved her body to the side and let Dash land on her own tent, which caused it to rip, break and fall over. Spitfire turned to face Dash who was now tangled up in the tent. “Listen you, you are one of my greatest members. But I cannot let you stay here. You are too hot headed and need to go. I expect you out before the night is up.” Spitfire turned her back towards dash. “ Also don’t worry about Scootaloo, we’ll take good care of her.” Spitfire walked up the road with the other pony following her. Dash untangled herself and looked down at the ground. She was right, Dash was a hot head. Too violent for her to raise a filly. She was just the hot headed, now ex gang member of the Wonderbolts. Dash stood and did what she was told, she left. The streets of Canterlot were quiet, as they always were. Dash walked through the streets, wearing a wool sweater that she just found lying in the gutter of the streets. She could feel the sun start to rise, in a few minutes she would die. No Vampony can survive in the sun. She looked at the horizon, she could start to see glimpses of the sun. In just a few minutes, she would turn to ash and be swept away by the town sweeper. That would be if a certain pony didn’t step in. Dash looked as the large pony wearing a cloak and a hood walked up to her. “Your Rainbow Dash aren’t you?” The tall Mare said in a demanding yet subtle tone. Dash nodded, knowing exactly who this pony was. “Good, sun will be up soon. If you want to live another night, follow me.” The tall mare started to walk towards Canterlot castle. Dash looked between her and the horizon. She shrugged and followed the Mare into the castle, safe from the light that would’ve killed her. Back underground, everypony looked around for Scoots. After she ran off, no pony saw where she went. The ponies called her name and looked everywhere for her. However their had yet to be any signs of her. That was until Spitfire stumbled across an orange feather next to a sewage pipe leading to the castle. Spitfire smiled “Good luck Dash.” The White Rook moves out of the Black Rooks way, to only move closer to the Black King A White pawn as fallen The Black King almost has all the pieces it needs The White King does not see the plot by the Black King One by one the pieces move The game presses on. Chapter 1 - Introductions (Redone)In The Dark Prologue Chapter 1 - Prologue Fiction. Edited by: Basic Information
Chapter 3 - A Kind GuardianIn The Dark Prologue Prologue 3 - A Kind Guardian In the world of darkness, Vamponies need a place to stay. Edited by: Basic Information
Chapter 4 - A Beautiful BloodsuckerIn The Dark Prologue Prologue 4 - A Beautiful Blood-Sucker The moon was just starting to rise up into the Equestrian sky. Prologue 5 - An Ex-gang MemberIn The Dark Prologue Prologue 5- An Ex-gang Member Every pony in equestria has a story, some of these stories are sad, some are happy.
