Startling Find in a Bad Situation

Previous Chapter

As I start to wake up, I feel a huge mass right in my face, I here the sound of rain and all I can see is white. After a moment of wondering why I wasn't in my dorm, and that realizing I wasn't dead, I struggled to get the big air bag off of me. Once I do, I look around to see. The car I pretty much fine except for a spiderweb crack in the windshield. I take notice and see that the crack wasn't open and kept water from leaking in, but it was caved in a little because of-

   WHAT THE HELL IS THAT

I nearly jump out of the car when I see a purple figure strewn about on the windshield and a lot of what fear is blood. My eyes can't quite make out exactly what it is but it seems really familiar and- OH SHIT! I need to get home, fast!

I was almost home, just barely speeding and in my passenger seat I had... the creature wrapped up in a blanket. When I found it, it had cuts and gashes all over and its front leg was bent at and odd angle. It was probably a bad idea, but while it was out, I took the chance to shift it back into place, parallel to the others, and tide an old ice scrapper to it with my sock, making a splint. As for the bleeding, I put wads of tissues over top to stop blood loss.

When I parked in front of the motel, i rapped it up more so that no one could see it and I went straight to my room. I went on my computer to search for ways to stop all the bleeding. When I finished, I decided to bandage minor cuts and covered gashes with bits of alcohol soaked cloth. I moved on to the broken organs checked the surface of the skin and found that had really just been dislocated and thankfully not broken. I properly popped it back into place, and in doing so woke the creature, with a yelp in fact. Good, at least there was no signs of brain damage so far, though I doubt that there isn't. She stayed awake for a little while- wait- yeah a she, but didn't say or do much, she looked really tired actually. After a while, her skin started to pale and I realized that it might have been the loss of blood. I remember something about how blood donors would eat sweets after donating and I realized that I should give her something for that, in not because she needs to eat. I go over to the fridge and grab some carrots and a bag of sugar along with a glass of water. When she saw come over, she hid under the blanket and shook. I figured I must be scaring her so I just left the food there and watch from a far. I hope she comes out and starts eating soon.

After a few minutes, she sticks here hoof- yeah... that's a hoof- and snatches up a carrot. A few seconds later she repeats the process. She than slowly, but surely, arose from beneath the blanket and began to eat. Before she tried to eat the sugar or get a drink, she made a little grunt and scrunched up her face and then just began to lap them up like a dog would. After she finished, I walked out from where I was standing and slowly came up to her.

   "Hello?" I ask

She recoils at the sound of my voice but does not retreat beneath the blanket again.

"H-Hewo?" She stutters through what I now see are chipped and missing teeth. She was also surprised by the way she sounded and lifted a hoof to here face, only to cringe in pain.

   "Thaw-we"

   "It's alright"

   "Ooh cah u-uddasand me?"

"Well, kinda. It's kinda hard to get what you're saying with all those broken teeth."

   "Ooh. Thaw-we."

Any further conversation was cut of as she sighed hard and past out.

"Are you all right? Hello? HELLO?"

I rushed over to help her and found that she had stopped breathing.
