Fluttershy opened her eyes slowly as the clock rang, halfheartedly trying to shut it down from the bed to no avail. She had overslept the last time and now she had placed the damned thing so that she had to leave the bed entirely to reach it. She had also locked the door to prevent Angel from turning it off before it she got up.
The clock showed the time as 4:15 in the morning, a mere 5 hours after she had gone to bed. She would’ve done so sooner, but she had to pretend that nothing was out of the ordinary. The last thing she wanted now was the others getting worried, or wonder if she had any plans. She did, but she didn’t want any of them to find out.

Yawning, she unlocked the door to her room at the cabin and found an annoyed Angel jumping up and down at the noise coming from her room. He stopped with a confused look on his face when Fluttershy just walked past him like he wasn’t there. She was too tired to deal with him right now.
Her feet took her down the hall and in another door. It burned her eyes for a second when she turned on the lights. The clock on the bathroom wall said it was 4:17. She yawned again and walked over to the mirror.
For a moment she could only stand and watch. She usually slept 7 and a half hours every night. The animals she lived with manage themselves fine until the sun rose, so there was no need to have a daily rhythm like the Apples. 4:18.
She started to pull her nightshirt off. It was white and plain. She only had that and a set of pink panties on when she slept, unless she was attending a sleepover at a friend’s house. Then she usually wore silk pajamas. Designed by Rarity, of course. Fluttershy wouldn’t want to hurt her feelings.
4:19. It took an entire minute to get the shirt off, thanks to her wings. She threw it to the corner. She could clean it later. The yellow girl tumbled forward, with a muffled “yelp”. She had stood on her tail and hadn’t noticed it before she bent forward. Seeing that, she proceeded to both continue what she was doing and let the tail loose. She had to laugh at herself a little. At least the adrenaline seemed to have woken her up a bit more. Fluttershy was glad no one had seen it happen. She couldn’t have shown her face for weeks if anyone had.
4:21. The pink fabric took the route of the shirt to the corner, before she stepped into the shower. She let the warm water run on her body for a minute before she started to apply the shampoo to her hair and tail.
4:36. Maybe she could’ve saved some time every morning if she cut her hair shorter or thinned it out a little, but she just loved it as it was. The way it felt in the wind, the way it looked so much like her tail… she had to focus. She didn’t have much more time. The sooner she was done, the better.
4:39. She finished up washing the rest of her body, before she stepped out of the shower and started to dry herself off. 5 minutes with the hairdryer and a towel later and she was ready to go get dressed. She hung the towel over the chair she had placed in the bathroom. She could clean it later.
4:45. She walked back to her room. Angel stood outside of the bathroom door, but blushed and looked away when he saw that she was actually walking naked around the house. She never walked naked around the house. Her heart skipped a beat and she quickened her pace. It was just Angel that saw her, but…
4:46. Fluttershy was back in her bedroom, standing in front of her wardrobe. She looked at the near white pink sweater she had chosen for today. It was based on Celestia’s coat; so light one could barely tell there was any color at all. The sweater itself sat tightly to her body, going down past her bum and with a very low neckline. The sweater also had openings on the back, big enough for her to thread her wings through.
4:47. She grabbed her tail and took it around her waist, almost like a belt. She couldn’t have it in the way this morning; it would ruin the look she had planned. It was fastened with a clamp, that had been made for her a long time ago. From time to time it was necessary to keep the tail out of the way, especially when she worked with animals most of the day.
4:49. She stepped to her left and looked in the mirror. Her bust was… she blushed. It would draw a lot of looks if she were seen like this. She didn’t have huge breasts, but they were sizable enough to notice. A bit bigger than most she had met. And with the neckline ending just above her areola… she wasn’t sure if she wanted to giggle or gasp. How daring!
4:50. Only a couple more details to her outfit, and she had 10 minutes to her deadline. Good. She had chosen a good time to wake up. Once she had pulled them on, she opened the second drawer from the top, on the right side of her mirror stand. She pulled out a pair of wearable bunny ears.
As she put them on, she looked at the way they hung forward slightly and smiled. She turned back to the mirror to see how she looked: Almost perfect. There was just one more detail that was needed.
4:52. Cautiously she reached for the 3rd drawer from the top on the right side. The one she rarely ever opened and mostly held locked. She had unlocked it the night before, to save some time now. Her heart rate increased as the drawer opened.
