The Arrival

Zendikar was alive with activity. A civil war amongst two factions was raging and really beginning to heat up. Planeswalker’s Jace Belren and Chandra Nalaar held the first faction together. This was the denizens of Zendikar themselves. It was a plane that held dangerous beings that seem to be getting more dangerous and they made a very huge folly. In the haste to find answers on why Zendikar was getting more and more dangerous day-by-day, they had awoken trapped beings that truly ruled this plane. The Eldrazi.

The Eldrazi are powerful ancient beings that had been trapped in the Hedron temples scattered about Zendikar. They take very menacing forms and they consume mana by devouring everything in their path. At the helm of their command were three very powerful titans. Kozilek, the Butcher of Truth and Ulamog, The Infinite Gyre were holding themselves very well on the front lines of battle. Even these two fought well, but were nothing compared to the Eldrazi commander herself. Emrakul, The Aeons Torn was floating above the battlegrounds. She was a huge hulking mass of tendrils and what looked to be earthen head with four channels to a central eye. She was a behemoth of a creature and the aerial battle was defenseless against her.

As Emrakul battled high in the air, she looked down to see a breach in the Eldrazi Spawn lines. Jace Belren was gaining power as each spawn was defeated and killed. Emrakul didn’t hesitate to fly down and back the breach up. It then came down to the titan and Jace battling it out. Emrakul fought with energy draining tendrils and Jace firing off bolt after bolt of magic. When the stalemate turned to a loosing battle for the planeswalker, Jace teleported back to Chandra to get a breather.

“That damn Eldrazi Titan is too strong! Zendikar will fall if she is on the field! We must do something!” Jace yelled. “We must teleport her to a locked hedron! That is our only hope Chandra! Then we must do the same to Ulamog and Kozilek!” Jace stopped to fight off a few spawn.

Chandra herself was also worried about the battle herself. “After we get the titans locked away, we must seal off this plane! If any of those monsters get out, then the other planes will be in peril of falling!” Chandra shot back. “We must stop the lesser titans! Then go for Emrakul!” She fought an ambushing spawn back with a few flame spells. “We can get the two in one hit! They won’t see it coming.

As if on queue, they were stopped by Kozilek smashing through the feeble denizens of Zendikar. He wanted to stop the two planeswalkers from advancing further. Jace and Chandra had to work fast to push the gargantuan back.

“We get the two other titans before Emrakul!” Jace started to prepare a spell to send Kozilek back to the Eldrazi Temple. As the behemoth went for another hit, Jace shot the spell off at Kozilek. The Eldrazi titan vanished within an instant. Did the spell work? Jace had other priorities on his mind. “One down!” He yelled as the two planeswalkers made their way to Ulamog.

With a sudden flash and his brother disappearing, Ulamog became furious and made his way to the planeswalkers. He wanted them to pay! All of his tendrils aimed for the two planeswalkers and aim at them they did! He hit Chandra back and then went for Jace.

Jace had the spell he needed for Ulamog. He ducked under a few tendril whips and then he was ready to send Ulamog to the temple and move on to the final Titan. The spell went off without a hitch and just like Kozilek Ulamog was gone. Only Emrakul remained. That was going to be a true challenge. Jace turned to a slightly injured Chandra.

“Chandra! You must heal! I will take on Emrakul myself!” Jace got two elves to help her off of the battlegrounds. He was back on the field and since the two lesser titans were gone, the battle had changed tides dramatically. His main focus was the towering titan.

Emrakul herself noticed that her brothers were missing. “What!? Kozilek and Ulamog gone!? That planeswalker will pay!” The huge Eldrazi commander flew down onto the battlefield and began to devour and destroy everything in her path. Soon, her and Jace were fighting again.

As the Eldrazi and planeswalker dueled, Jace could not keep up with Emrakul. She was too fast with the spawning tendrils. Jace had to do something. He began to use a new spell. It was his last hope. He was almost finished, when Emrakul disrupted him. Somehow, someway, the spell went off and Emrakul vanished. The three titans gone and the denizens of Zendikar were cleaning off the fields of battle. Zendikar saved from the Eldrazi nightmare.

A few hours later, the two planeswalkers were checking the Eldrazi Temple for the titans. In the chamber before the final room, the hedrons that held Ulamog and Kozilek were locked back up. Jace and Chandra, breathed a major sigh of relief.

“So we have done it. Emrakul’s army has fallen to us. We can finish clearing out the remaining Eldrazi units and finally seal Zendikar away!” Chandra looked at Jace. “Lets see if Emrakul is in her barrier. That hedron was locked via a containment priest. We will see if you got her.”

The two entered the huge underground chamber. The place was illuminated by a force-field around a massive hedron. Jace and Chandra made their way to the priest and knew that something wasn’t right.

“I do hope that Emrakul was locked back away. Tell us we locked her back up!” Jace swallowed as he questioned the priest.

Without looking up or saying anything, the priest waved her hand and the force field vanished. The hedron opened itself up to reveal that Emrakul was not there! “The Aeons Torn is no longer in this plane! She is out of reach within our confines. Wherever she may be, it is not in this universe!”

Jace and Chandra could only gasp at the news. An ultra powerful monster now gone… They could only hope that the universe didn’t send her somewhere that Emrakul could easily annihilate…

In Ponyville, Equestria, a young blue pegasus was taking a stroll through the fields by the Everfree forrest. Equinox “Double” Down was looking for some fresh berries to pick for a fruit salad that he was making. The day was calm and he was able to watch Spring’s new life. A pack of small timber wolf pups were playing off in the distance with their mother watching from the tree line. “How cute!” DD laughed to himself. He kept his distance from them, however. As cute as they may be, they were still very dangerous. He moved away to get to his berry grove. As he walked, a very loud sonic boom was heard. Double looked towards the sky to see a meteor heading his way. The Pegasus had little time to react as he dove out of the way.

The meteor was actually a very strange looking pony. When DD came to inspect, a large mare, or what looked like a mare was laying in the rut that her fall made. She was a multicolored pony with several charred tendrils wrapped around her. Her head had a rocky protrusion for the mane and tail. She was well out cold.

“Oh dear!” Double took no time to pick her up and drape her over his back. “I hope Fluttershy can help you!” DD said as he rocketed off towards the cottage on the edge of the Everfree Forest.
