I am making this story for a school project. Why I get to write a fanfiction for school instead of a research paper is not important, but I am, so there!

This story is set in the future by a fair bit, in which Equestria is a lot different. Industrialization has found its way to Equestria, as well as a new-found threat: an invasion from the Griffins. The long war leads to Equestrian society slowly breaking down, and the story is meant to show how vulnerable their society is to breaking down completely, and also how it truly is a dystopia, with its caste-systems and the like.

This is only the very first bit of the first 'half' of the story, and is more of an intro than anything else, I thought I would post it and see how people like it as well as get some helpful advice (hopefully) before I write the next bit!
