Catharsis ensues
Broken Is the system
Load Full StoryI used to think that I was the leader, the source, the general of the elements of harmony. Now all I am is just a pawn, just a play thing for Celestia, nothing more, nothing less. She used to see me as a student, but now we are just allies in this newly created land. No matter how many times I tell myself that everything is all right I cant but help see the disarray in all of it. My sadness has been a beacon to all, like a light in the darkness I am alone in this fight.
Sometimes I lie on my bed and tap my hooves on the frame, thinking and thinking about what will become of this land If I leave. I am absolutely confident In the fact that everything would fall apart. Celestia thinks she can handle everything without me, but we both know she cant. She has become a corrupt queen in almost every aspect now. It is only a matter of time before her paranoia takes over her mind and chaos ensures the demise of the colony as a whole. The unknowing nature of the populous of equestria would certainly prove powerless to her paranoia fueled rage.
"Twighlight?.......TWIGHLIGHT!" Spike shouted, trying to capture my attention.
A bit startled I managed to squeak out " y...yes?." It seemed as though in my pondering I had drifted off to sleep.
"We have to go see the queen. Did you forget about that already?." Spike seemed rather flustered at the thought of me forgetting something.
"No, of course I didn't forget about that" I chuckled sarcastically.
"Oh... Well we really have to get going! The train leaves in 30 minutes!."
"Oh don't worry." I said as I tapped my horn with my hoof.
"Whups, I forgot." Spike said as he shrugged off the notion of rushing.
As spike began down the stairs I started to gather my things. Now that I think about it, did spike say queen? I know that she had recently made some......Adjustments, but I wasn't quite sure about having a decree made about everyone calling her queen. I can't help but cringe at the thought.
"Hey spike!" I yelled down the stairs.
"Yes?"
"Since when did you start calling Celestia....queen?" The word queen felt foreign in my mouth.
"We have always called her that."
"Oh, sorry to question your authority." I said with a smile.
As I uttered those words I noticed something strange. Small balls of white light, dancing in my vision, much like lightning bugs in the night. I felt very strange, warm liquid began to drip down my face. I put my hoof up to my nose, only to realize it was blood.
