Chapter 2: You’re a pony? Well I’m a meta-human.

Apple Jack was calmly staring into the night sky when out of nowhere she saw a red... well for lack of a better term monster appear out of the blue and attempt to eat an apple from one of her trees. In all her life Apple Jack has had some critters come and steel an apple or two but this thing was different. She walks over to her lantern and turns it on and starts walking toward the monster.  She now got a good look at the thing. It stood on two legs, had red skin which looked really shiny, it had claws like a dragon or griffon only less sharp, and it also had two lightning shapes for ears. Yup this thing was the strangest thing she saw in all her life. With the summer sun festival in two days (Note: this is before season one so she and the other are not the elements yet and twilight has not appeared yet.) she and the apple family were working to fulfill a deadline of apples and Apple Jack can’t have any random animals coming in and eating them now. She shined her light at the thing and shouted.

“STOP RIGHT THERE YA THIEF!” the monster was startled and almost lost his grip on the apples he was holding. When it turned around I bore a look of complete and total shock as it stared at Apple jack. The full sight of the thing was very confusing and Apple Jack had only one thing to say.

“I never thought that anything could I ever saw world make me say this but WHAT THE BUCK ARE YOU!” she never really expected an answer from it but she did get a question in return which ‘almost’ made Apple Jack’s jaw drop.

“What am I? What the hell are you!?” It shouted back. To say Apple Jake was in a state of shock was an understatement. This thing could talk?

“You can talk?” The apple bucker asked with genuine curiosity. The thing shouted back in a loud tone.

“Yes I can talk but how can you? Horses don’t talk …” After that Apple Jack no longer cared for what it said this thing just called her a horse… A HORSE! She is a pony not a horse.

“Now listen here ya apple stealer I ain’t no horse I am a pony! Now tell me what you are before I shove my hoof down your lungs!?” For some strange reason the creature chuckled at AJ. This thing just sat there and laughed at her threat? Well it’ll be sorry for it soon.

“Even if you did intimidate me which for the record you didn’t you can’t hurt what you can’t catch and I am pretty fast at my home actually I was the fastest man there.” Speed was all the thing had? Well it might just give up now because AJ had both speed and strength.

“Speed won’t do you no good if you can’t hurt the pony you try to hit.” AJ knew it was trying to antagonize her but didn’t know why. That aside she didn’t know it would have a comeback.

“I knocked a guy out with a single hit and his skin could turn to a metal that can protect him from even the strongest of men.” That reply was unexpected. AJ was thinking that it was lying but couldn’t see it in the things eyes.  But she straightened up and replied with.

“Well let’s just see how well that works out for ya when I Buck that mouth off ya.” AJ ran straight for the red thing and was going to attempt to buck him with all her might. What she didn’t know was that this thing’s claims were true. As AJ neared it she turned and brought her hind legs about to use all the strength her legs can muster. Yet in a red blur the monster side stepped her and laughed as AJ rocketed past him and landing in a smock cloud.

“Well it works out fine for me you however not so much.” That was the final straw. This thing will not come up to her farm, steal her apples, but most of all it will not… mock… her! With a loud battle cry AJ raced the strange beast with all her anger. She tried to hit him (or at least she thought it was a he.)  With a right hoof but it simply dodged it with no effort what’s so ever. This process went on for some time. She tried to hit him while he just dogged. Not once did he even try o hit back even when she knew it had a perfect chance. Yet blind to her anger AJ kept on trying to hit him at least once. Yet no matter what she did not once did she nail him. She quickly got tired and as she got even more tired AJ got slower. The monster said something which made AJ halt in her tracks right that second.

“Are you done yet? Look if you want I could give you back the apples and be on my way.” The monster didn’t want to fight? It apparently either saw AJ as to weak or he just simply didn’t want to fight either way it offered to give her back the apples.

“Ok you can get off the hook this time but try to steal another apple I won’t be easy to avoid then.” The monster gave the apples which he held in his hands the whole battle to AJ and she somehow grabbed them with her hoofs.

“Ok… well I better get going and find some human civilization and not ‘Pony civilization’.” What did it mean by ‘human civilization’? But before it could go AJ had two important questions to ask.

“Before you leave back to wherever it is you come from answer me these two questions. One what are you? And two who are you?” The monster seemed in thought for sometime before answering with.

“I am The Flash and I am what some would call a Meta-Human.” That only filled AJ with more things to ask but before she could ‘Flash’ as he called himself asked her one.

“Where am I? I don’t seem to be anywhere near central city. Or starling city for that matter.” What this thing had no idea he was off the cost of ponyvile? And what where these places he is talking about?

“Well you’re on the line between Ponyvile and the Everfree forest.” Flash looked at AJ with glare that almost seemed to admit death.

“Do not play jokes with me now! Who in their right mind would name a town after a pony? Also I never hared of this ‘Everfree forest’.” Barry Allen has heard and has done some ridiculous things before in his life but these name he was given took the cake.

“I am not playing any kind of joke Flash. That’s the name of our town and forest. Oh what’s wrong with me? My name is Apple Jack and this here apple farm is my propriety.” Now Barry knew this was some kind of prank. Whoever heard of a pony owning an apple farm?

Maybe a Meta-Human who has some type of mind powers trapped me in the imagination of a six year old or something. “Ok fine just tell me where on earth are we?”  The apple bucker look confused before replying with.

“Earth? I’m sorry to say I never heard of this earth thingy other than the element earth. Like rocks or boulders. Right now we are in the country of Equestria on the planet Equus.” Barry’s jaw hit the floor in a cartoony way of defying physics.

“Ok so what your telling me is that you never heard of Earth, Central city, or Starling city?” the pony gave a nod of the head. “What about Gotham city?” Barry was met with a no.

“Metropolis?” and another no. “What about Manhattan?” his hopes skyrocketed when she gave a smile of confirmation.

“Yes now that a familiar name. Manehattan is a long way away from but if you…” she was interrupted by Barry holding his hand to her mouth.

“Did you just say Manehatten? Not Manhattan.” She looked confused again after what he said but put the pieces together soon.

“Yes I did. So I guess it’s not the place you’re looking for?” Barry’s face was visible sadden which gave her the answer. AJ decides to ask another question.

“So you have nowhere to go for now do you?” The cowmare asked with a sad tone. Barry’s response was a short nod then looking down to the ground.

“Well if want I do have room in the barn somepony your size. I’m sure you can stay until the end of the summer sun celebration.” To Barry she was being very kind. That is until she said the next thing then he would that she was trying to get work out of him for profit.

“But in exchange you have to help me and my family around the farm. Do we have a deal Flash?” AJ held her hoof up to hoof bump the scarlet speedster. Yup there it was the catch. But giving his current situation Barry had no other choice but to shake the hoof. The action gave AJ some confusion but shrugged it off as how the Flash does a deal.

“Ok well get some shut eye for now but tomorrow I’ll explain you predicament to my family and let you help out anyway you can.” Well at least she was being fair about the deal. If Barry did nothing in return then that would be free loading and Barry hated free loading.

“Ok just show me the way and I’ll follow.” They went inside the huge barn to be greeted by the sight of hay all over. AJ showed Barry the pile he will be sleeping in tonight. Without another word AJ left the barn and Barry. Slowly Barry lay down on the hay and had only one thing to say before he wakes up in the Med-lab of Star Labs.

“What a weird thing to dream about.” Then Barry’s sight was covered in the darkness of blissful sleep.
