It is considered to be The Holy Land since the avatar's of the sun and moon govern it and they have also been the voices of reason when war between neighboring countries was inevitable, thus gaining respect from all the other leaders.
But the most interesting thing about this country is that it has the longest standing history archive, where more than 80 % of the world's document's and events are recorded. However the information only goes back till 25 years after Discord was defeated, before that, nopony or any other creature (Discord included) knows.
The familiar sound of an alarm clock filled the library and awakening its resident alicorn. Groaning she reached over to the nightstand beside her table before slamming the snooze button. Twilight laid there for a bit before slowly climbing out of bed while stretching her wings. Although it has been six months since she became a princess, waking up to a pair of wings was steel weird, but sleeping on a mattress made of clouds was worth it!

It has come to our attention that something has occurred in the last few days. On the night of the autumn equinox, a tremendous flux in the lye lines was reported across Equestria and it appears that the epicenter of it is 48 Hm north of Granite City. A loud shriek that could wake the dead was heard all across Ponyville. And that can mean only two things: 1) Rarity just broke a nail (To early for that) or 2) Twilight Sparkle (Now the Princess of Friendship) has found another cataclysmic event. It just had to be one of those Sundays, whelp let's put on the old hardhat and hope the sky doesn't come falling down" Grunting Cloudkicker walks out of the kitchen, opens the door to the basement and enters in the underground bunker. (Since the Elements of Harmony were brought to Ponyville, every single week something happened, from Parasprites to Evil Lord's, so a law was made in which all residents of Ponyville were requested to have an emergency bunker where to hide when Twilight gives the alarm)

This is incredible news, to think that artifacts' from the OLD ERA are steel being found and that they are steel active after all this time. And that whatchamacallit is known as a Artifact of OLD and why it is in such a remote location is eneypony’s ghese. And to answer your question Rarity we are going there because we have in our position such artifacts: The Element’s of Harmony” Twilight explained, giving a textbook answer to the Apple farmer and her friends.
“Wait a second, are you telling us that there are more thing’s out there that are as powerful as our element’s?” Rainbow Dash asked as she immediately flew up to her face “That is so not cool!”
‘Oh my … I hope that this time around we don’t have to cut our mains or tails like on our first endeavor. I mean it that’d be just dreadful to be in the arctic whiteout them’. The fashionista thought.
Pushing her friend away slightly, Twilight responded “Actually Equestria has several such artifacts’ other then the elements. We have in total of 5: The Element’s of Harmony, The Tree of Harmony, The Arqmters (a small green metallic orb the size of an apple that is stored in the Canterlot Volt) and the two crown’s that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna where. ” This information rendered the group silent for a few moments until Rainbow broke the silence again.
“Oh, Ok. But what thus this Arqeemnts~ mean anyhow? ” Everypony was interested in this information and lied closer to their friend to get more information.
“Uhm … It is pronounced The Arqmters and the name was recorded in a scroll of Star Swirl the Bearded, but what it really means and what it does, well, it was never discovered. I mean it’s a dead language that hasn’t been spoken in centuries and the only other pony that can pronounce it now is Nnamdi Taonga The Great Shaman from Zebrafrica. As for the artifact, not even whit our most advanced research equipment or the most powerful unicorn wizard can determine its function’s” Twilight answered whit a guilt in her voice. “I have been studing every sorce of information, every book, scroll for moths and I ”
Fluttershy then spoke, quietly “Uh, H-How does he k-know how to speak the name properly? … If you don't mind me asking that is” She asked, with a tinge of curiosity in her voice.

An explosive force tears the frozen earth asunder as dozens of Gremlins and Wraiths are launched from the massive shockwave generated by the meteorites impact! As the steam was dying down a very faint grunting was heard over the vind. But this sound, although faint it made everyone take a small step back, even Sombra (to his displeasure ) was forced to take a nerves gulp.
Out of the steaming crater a massive hand shot out and to the horror of all, a seven foot tall bipedal Goliath began lifting itself. It was clad in grey and white armor making the most heavily armored gremlin look like he was wearing toilet paper.
Once it was out of the crater, it began shaking its head and with a low voice that denoted power, spoke in a very bizarre and metalic language.

Chapter 2.5: The more you know!
Brief human history
In the year 2052, humanity has discovered a method in which they can curve space and time, thus effectively opening the doors to the stars. 12 Year’s later, the project “New Home” was deemed a success when the planet Mars was completely teraformed in less than 8 moth’s using a new technology called MCM (Molecular Convergent Matrix) that effectively used solar energy to convert one tip of molecules into another. Suddenly humanity found itself able to stop war and ethnic differences.
So in the summer of 2087 a global summit was called upon and all the nations agreed to unite under one banner and fulfill the age long dream of living among the stars. This alliance was then named the UNDSE. However radical factions steel existed but they went into hiding and will not appear in the world stage for several centuries.
The UNDSE
It stands for United Nations Deep Space Exploration. It was founded in the year 2087 when all the nations united to begin terraforming other planets in the solar system and starting whit the seconded generation of interstellar engines that were launch in 2124 other world’s beyond the sun. Another article that was agreed upon in the first summit was that all calendars from then onwards were to remain synchronized whit the exiting one on Earth.
After 450 years, in October 2574 a second summit was called upon, only this time it was whit all the world’s that have been colonized that now had there own form of government. 523 member worlds were present and the commissioning of a defense fleet was talked about. The original name will be kept as a reminder of everyone’s point of origin.
Another point of interest was the different evolutionary path’s that humanity took. The terraforming process was only 95% accurate to the original Earth on the majorety of the world's, thus living on different world’s created different humans. There were cataloged 12 specific variations that ranged from Heavy / Lighter gravity worlders (Planet Zurenter that was 241 Light-years away from Earth held the highest record of 3.7G compared to the normal 1G, while Planet Ju'r 64 Light-years away from Earth held the lowest record of 0.6G) to Low Atmosphere worlders (Planet Yune that was 87 Light-years away from Earth held the record of 0.55 atmospheres [On the top of Mount Everest, it's about 0.29 of sea level]). New right’s had to be agreed upon since the old laws dictated by the Geneva Convention were not as flexible.
While the majority agreed upon that all sentient species that have their original roots from Earth were to be treated equally regardless of their differences, there were a few member worlds that wanted special treatment for their 'Purity' (They lived on planets that were 100% terraformed). In order to reach consensuses a vote was cast and the result was 92% in favor of equality. Historians argue that this is the moment when the old rivalry has been reawakened since Earth was among those in favor of equality. 12 year’s after the summit, small research vessels, explorers, cargo ships, mining expeditions began disappearing but the time between each disappearances varied and at the time they were labeled as accident’s.
Because of the numerous accidents in the last few decades, in 2625 the first defense fleet was commissioned whit 23 ATILA Class Battleships accompanied by 14 MIRN Curser’s. Their main objective was to protect / supervise other commercial fleets or destroy asteroid’s that were damaging different satellite’s or research stations, a phenomenon that was becoming more frequent. In the fallowing years 6 more fleets were commissioned.
A third summit was programmed in the year 2752 to present all the achievement’s that were made since the last meeting and discuss future plans. It was supposed to take place on planet Earth to commemorate 700 years since humanity was able to freely travel across the known universe however several armed commandos attacked during the celebration clamming to be the true son’s and daughter’s of a time long since forgotten. Before they were neutralized, 85 representatives were wounded and 73 killed during the attack. Surprisingly the 42 member’s that spoke against the treaty in 2574 were absent and when call in for questioning there leaders and a good portion of their military and scientific community’s were gone. The remaining civilians and whatever was left of there military were governed by highly sophisticated AI that was posing as humans. A galactic hunt was ordered and all the fleets were recalled for immediate retrofitting.
In 2754, the 5th Fleet encountered in a remote sector of the galaxy several hundred destroyed ships. They were dated to the mysteries disapirente that started in 2586; 2 weeks later they discovered a massive fleet that didn’t belong to the UNDSE but was of human design, their final message sent to the other fleets was that they were attempting peacefully communications whit the mysteries fleet. A cloaked recognizance probe discovered the remains of the 5th fleet a few days later, it presented severe battle damage and the flagship’s outer hull was painted whit the same symbol that the commandos had. The old axe of war was uncovered again after 700 years of peace, conflict’s appeared across the galaxy and they lasted until 2785 when a new enemy appeared and took advantage of the dispute between humanity.
In February 23 2785, on the outer age of the galaxy, humans discovered that they were not alone. A new sentient species was discovered that was either as advanced as or greater than humanity and so a peaceful greeting was attempted. This however was greeted by a declaration of war and a systematic eradication of the outer colonies. The only thing slowing the advancing creatures named Sporr was the program Planetary Guardians enacted in 2778 by the UNDSE whit the help of Professor Iona that invented the NAM system (Neuron Amplification Matrix) and Colonel Jackson Wars (The first human capable of physically manipulating matter on a sub molecular level which was the faundationfor the NAM).
In 2788 the UNDSE orderd the creation and building the most advanced and versatile weapons platform in history, Cod Name: New Horizon and it was to be built in Sector 274#3 Milky Way Galaxy, Colonie 378 (R&D)
Colonel Jackson Wars
Age: 29 years. Born on ??? (Genetic maping sugests the 8th) of January 2764 . Since the enact of 2574 couples from different human evolutionary stages were common, however specific genes were incompatible whit other’s.
Genetic analysis indicates that his parent’s were of:
Father (Heavy Gravity worlder from Zurenter)
Mother (Rare case of original human DNA whit a increased neuron synaptic system)
First case of offspring between 2 incompatible genomes.
Exact data is unobtainable. He was born in the Central European continent and in 2764 an undiscovered faultline in that region became active causing an earthquake of 7.5 on the Richter scale. He was the only survivor in the hospital, discovered 3 days after the calamity. He was raised in an orphanage like many other children because of this calamity. In 2769 he was adopted by an old couple that was involved in humanitarian aid. In 2772 he discovers his abilities to physically create and maintain shield’s by stopping a collapsing building from killing a group of children, he continued to help others whit this new found ability.
On the 12 of September 2773 he stops a group of armed humans from killing a innocent bystander while visiting the UNDSE Capitol on Earth. The same day a terrorist attack kills’s 3000 people gather in the Capitol Central Park, out of them 1200 were the children that survived the 2764 earthquake including his adopted parent’s (It was a day comemorated for thous that died). He is adopted again by Major Renolds of the 1st regiment DeathWach, ironically being the bystander he saved and after several days of morning he decides to join the UNDSE to protect others from sheering the same fate, he enrolls in 2774. Major Renolds wife, Professor Iona is intrigued by his ability and whit his permission makes a neuroimaging of his synapses to identify how he is able to manipulate matter. Because of his abilities, he is sent to different rescue missions in military active zones, thus saving thousand’s across several planets displaying a military cunning that bafells the UNDSE and thus claiming the chain of command quickly . He was the first in history to reach the rank of Colonel at the age of 20 receiving several dozen medals; however he is also court-martialed 5 times for disrespecting the chain of command in several combat situations. He doesn’t receive punishment since he completed the mission’s objective and also refusing to retreat in several situations before everyone else, thus saving lives and gaining the respect of his brothers in arms.
In 2781 he helps his adopted mother in the program: Planetary Guardians and is the first to test the MPCE’s. During this time he is sent to different colonies for training in all know forms of combat. Along the way he also discovers that the range of his ability’s is far greater than initially anticipated. A thorough analysis indicates that he is able to absorb matter thru his shield thus rendering it’s limitations to how much force was exerted on its surface. In theory the stronger the force that impacted the shield, the stronger it will become. Tests performed on the synthetic NAM system indicated a limit of 700MT force limit. Actual test on the subject were denied by both the Professor and the UNDSE council stipulating the 2574 article.
In 2786 he is diploid in the second generation of MPCE whit the Battle Group Odin’s Light in an attempt to push back the invading alien forces. While sustaining heavy damage, the battle group was able to repel the attack and returned whit more than 85% of its crew because of the Planetary Guardians program. Funds were reallocated in order to create more guardians.

In front of the lonely guardian stood an army made of 400 disfigured and seriously disgusting bipedal creatures clad in medieval armor wilding swords, bows, spears and shields made from wood and metal. But a closer look where the HUD market 12 life signs he discovered human like creatures covered whit wounds and from the look of thing’s they were received while fighting the army. But his confusion turned to anger when the entire picture of the battle field came into his view. They were in a frozen wasteland, 12 against 400 whit no weapons (‘I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS’).
But the more he stared at the human like creatures the more he became confused. Only scarf’s, mittens, jewelry (The hell!), 3 of them are warring skin tight body suit that ware blue with a streak of electric yellow going down there bellys (You don’t bring swimsuit’s to the arctic let alone be the only thing you wear) and the that’s it. Nothing else, just ... NUDE ... 12 nude female creatures (coverd in fur? That explains the lack of clothing to some degree. THEY HAVE TAILS TOO?) that look’t like they were in there twenty’s. Supermodel bodies whit horns, wings, horns and wings?
‘OOOOkkeyyy, I think my mind just went south. Since when dose rainbow colerd hear exist. Scrach that flowing navy blue whit stars and semitransperent hear. Or a combanation of blue, aqua, pink and green!!! Regardless, I steel don’t like the fact that‘ Jackson was brought out of his thought’s by the a small blue light hitting his helmet. (Which was the equivalent of hitting a tank with a feather)

A dark cloud whit green and red eyes, and what was suppose to be a mouth was filled whit razor sharp teeth.

Perspective change: Daring Doo
There have only been two times in her life when Daring felt true horror. First was when she was a small filly and broke her mother’s favorite vase and right now. Just a few hoofs away was a monster of a TITAN that just took a magical blast to the face that incapacitated both Celestia and Luna in a moment (Bucking AVATARS OF THE SUN AND MOON) and it didn’t even flinch. ‘Heheh … I think that we are going to meet Queen Harmonia in the afterlife a lot faster now’
The TITAN turned it's head in the direction of Sombras form. Its eyes that were a distinct ghostly blue turned orange in a second, it then lifted its massive hand towards the now shocked army of darkness. Strange metal tubes began exiting from its gauntlet emitting low beeping sounds and whit a voice that rivaled the Royal Canterlot Voice it herald the end for those that have angered it .
“ HEW JURNT’E”
The next moment the world fell silent, as a mighty thunderous roar engulf the battle field. Mini light balls flew from the gauntlet at a blinding speed and where they landed they brought devastation. The magical shield that stopped Princess Luna’s and Twilight's attack was ineffective, the enchanted armors that absorbed Princess Celestia’s radiant attack were either shredded like paper or melted away like butter when cut whit a red hot knife. As for the gremlins, wraith and shadow worriers, they fell like the grains in a plate of porridge, the corpses of the enemy soldiers were smashed into the ground for a moment before they evaporated into the arctic vind.
The pony’s that were still awake prest there ears down against their head’s to stop the incredible noise. And half a minute later it was over, both the noise and a good portion from army of darkness, something that terrified both Sombras and the ponies.
“Owww … that was the loudest thing in Avalon” Daring mumbled, shaking her head as the ringing in her ears subsided to the point where she could hear to a degree. Gently taking a peek at her surroundings only to have her eyes widen to dinner plates size and her pupils to shrink to pinpricks at the site before here.
After dispatching the enemies in its immediate vicinity it retracted the now steaming tubes back in the gauntlet only to pull from its back a handle similar to that of a crossbow but made out of metal and whit a swing it produced the biggest and most brightest sword in recorded history that was made out of white fire.
"Ehhh … I-I … eep" Was all that Daring could muster to say. ‘Whe … whe are so dead … w-w-what’s that s s-smell ? O-oh… I think I might have emptied my bladder. We-Well considering th..’ was all that she could think before a ‘wosh’ sound was heard and where the once mighty titan was, now only it’s giant hoof print’s remained. Turning her head to where Sombra was, she was again rendered speechless.
For something taller than Celestia herself and bulkier than most Minotaur War Chiefs fully armored and filled whit Herufien watter it traveled half a hoofmile and was flying through the sky at least 100 hey bail’s towards a terrified Dark Lord in just a blink of an eye.

The previous weapon retracted to its original position. Using his right hand the titan retrieved the the now improvised sword from his back making everyone seeing this spectacle shit brick’s. ‘This thing is normaly used to cut through a reinforced titanium bulkhead 3m thick, let’s see what it can do’ He thought whit a sadistic smile before sprinting off towards the now petrified Evil Lord until he began flying upwards.

By the look of shock that the plastered on commanders face, it was not expecting a 4T soldier to just jump in front of him at ~180m in the air. Nevertheless it tried to dodge the attack, only to have the plasma cutter evaporate a good chunk of its form. And for the first time after it spoke in a very bezare and somewhat animalistic voice.

Translation: You dare challenge me creature. I am King Sombras, the one who defeated the avatars of the sun and moon. Now you will face my true powers!
If the attack was suppose to destroy something it was only making the guardian bored. However that only lasted a moment before the backup AI spoke again.

The last warning never reached Jackson’s ears. He failed to protect the evacuation of the orbital research station. Thousands died a few hours ago and he was helpless to prevent it. And now he was wasting time playing whit this clown and another sol was about to be collected by the Reaper. Not this time.
“CHARGE TESLA COIELS, BOTH UNETS FULL DISCHARGE“ The order was given to the AI while dropping the cutter. ‘I do not know if the flash regeneration will work, but I am not losing another life. Be it human or something else.’ He thought while his eyes were burning whit determination.

‘Let’s end this’ whit a grunt he broke the small lair of crystal that was forming end launched himself towards the now happily laughing creature that has been giving a speech to the guardian. Something that was completely ignored.
3rd person view
The wounded ponies that were steel awake began checking their fallen friend’s. While Darin and Spitfire began crawling to the princesses, AppleJack cheek Rarity’s unconscious body, only to be interrupted by Sombras victory ranting. Turning their heads to where the battle was, there jaws hit the snow when they sow the Titan drop it’s sword.
“ No mortal being can survive my ray of darkness. You have meddled in my affairs and now you will pay the consequences. Even now the immortal sisters are defeated. What can you posi” His ranting was stopped when the worrier (to the sock of all) broke from the crystal prison and was flying at an incredible speed towards the dark lord. Too fast for him to dodge, only this time its hands started glowing. It grabbed the red horn whit one hand and slammed a fist into the king’s left eye socket. A moment later everything was engulf in light, the ear was heavily ionized and for a moment a scream was heard from the king only to be followed by the distinct sound of glass cracking. The dark crystal shattered and whit it the rest of the fleeing army was disintegrated. Whit a mighty thud the creature landed and began making its way to the now terrified ponies.
Whit whatever strength she could muster Spitfire rows to her feet, turned her back on to her allies and spread her hands wide trying to protect them from the oncoming doom.

To say that she was afraid was an understatement. She was barely able to stand from the injuries she sustained, let alone fight because of the crippled wing. And now, here she was, acting like a wall, trying to stop something that decimated an army and the living incarnation of darkness in les the 3min.
‘Well at least I am going down fighting. Oh, who am I trying to convince, in a few moments it will be over.’ She thought while the Juggernaut approached them, leaving deep imprint’s in the ground. When it stopped just in front of here, the difference in height was immediately noticeable. It was towering over here and looking at here whit it’s now blue eyes, when it stretch it’s right hand that started to glow a gentle golden light above her head she began whipping and trembling uncontrollably.
‘This is it … goodbye ever pony, it was a blast!’ She closed her eyes and awaited the end. Only it never came, instead she began feeling wormer and her injuries were beginning to heal immediately. She opened her eyes in to see the giant retracting his hand and starting to head for her friend’s. ‘ Why did it not kill me? … Wait, we never attacked it! Dose this means we might get to see tomorrow? ’ She then began fallowing behind it while it started heeling and awakening everypony using its hands.
The reaction from the rest varied drastically. The rest of the Wonderbolts were on the verge of screaming at the top of their lungs when they awoke as did Miss Rarity for his attire untill she and AppleJack could calm them down. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were another story. The moment Rainbow Dash saw the thing she began treating and showing her fists at it to the horror of those that were awake to see what it did. It took her AppleJack and professor Doo to peen her to the ground before they sheered the same fate as the gremlins. After explaining what has transpired and pointing at the craters left from the sheer force did Rainbow’s bravado disappear and was replacet whit dread of what she was moments ago about to do. Fluttershy unsurprisingly, passed out again and Pinkie Pie had the creepiest smile imagineble. After that the giant began healing the princesses, whit Luna & Twilight being the first to awaken. But Princess Celestia refused to move, moments later it hit everypony. She was no longer breathing, her once white fur that shined with a pearlescent glow was now grayish and her mane was losing its pastel color turning to pink. Even the Titan stopped it’s healing magic and was now only looking at her as if he was sorry. In 5 minuet’s since the battle started there world was shattered completely.
Grief tock hold and they all started crying while Princcess Luna was hugging the body of her sister and weeping. Nopony heard the silent metallic sounds.
‘I have failed. How could this have happened, how ch’ Spitfires thoughts were yet again interrupted, but this time by a large stallion clad in a black suit that had glowing lights in several locations that shoved her aside. On his back was a large red backpack whit a white cross and was holding in his right hand a strange white metallic box whit wires and a black window.
One glimpse behind was all that she needed to know that the stallion came out of the giant and that he had not give yet up on saving her just yet. All the others were just as shocked to see him slide next to the 2 sisters dropping his bag and setting the box near to Celestia. He then prest some white paper circles on her forehead and looked to his left hand. In mere moments a portion of his left arm’s suit became white and several strange characters appeared whit a small graph that depicted a dropping line. He then connected a small wristband to Celestias hand and started the box.
During his work everypone notice that there savior was not a pony but something else similar to them. It had a short black mane, no muzzle or tail and instead of pony ears he had some strange ears similar to chimpanzees. But if they had to guess from the form of his suit, he was well built and would have put the bulkiest stallion to shame. ‘Is that a heart monitor? I thought those thing’s were huge, how the hey is it so small and where is it powered from?’ After flipping a few switches on the devices the stallion removed a tube and placed some transparent gel on 2 pad’s that he then prest against Celestias chest. He moved here regalia aside, flipped a switch that caused a charging sound and shoved Princess Luna aside before yelling out in his bizarre language

Celestia's body jerked up for a second before falling down again, a small bip was heard from the heart monitor and then silence. He flipped a seconded switch on the device causing the charging sound to appear only much loader and prest the pads again.

Her body jerked again and this time a few bip’s were heard from the monitor. But after a few moments it fell silent again. Clearly irritated he prest a few more buttons on his wrist and a loud screeching sound was heard befor he placed the pads a third time .
”Zront”
Celestia's body jerked and this time to everpony’s wonder she responded by taking a big gulp of ear and then preceded to cough loudly. ‘He did it!!!’ Was all she thought before everypony broke into cheering and in Luna’s case started hugging her now dazed but alive sister. Seeing his job done he stud up and started packing his miracles devices away in his backpack while a group hug began to form around the Diarch of the Sun, only for the lunar Princess to speak.

The moment she heard her sister breathe, all the tension from that day disappeared. ‘I thought I lost you dear sister.’ “Thank you, brave ... ” was all she said before remembering that he could not speak their language. Turning around and looking in her eyes, he nodded whit a small smile sensing her intent before beginning to head back to his armor although whit a small blush on his checks.
Only now that the danger has past and that everypony was safe did they all start to take in the presence of the strange creature and it’s machination. While not as tall as the armor he was steel bigger then all of them and from the way he was moving, Luna understood that he had seen true battle before. But before sompony started anything else a small beep was heard from his wrist and a female metallic voice started to talk in his native language.
His reaction was sprinting to his armor and donning it back on. A few moments later a small spike emerged from its left shoulder whit a pulsating green tip. When he began moving they all understood 2 things.
1) If he was able to defeat an army alone in a mere 5 minutes, then angering him was the worst possible thing to do
2) Something forced him back inside, and that didn’t seat well whit them.
