When a old mysterious statue is found in the Ever-free forest predating Equestira by the newly weds Darning do and Ahuizoti who of course takes it from it's resting place for Canterlot museum who holds it's reveal at the Gala only for some-pony to break it releasing an ancient powerful being of shadowy fire from a long forgotten Era of Darkness named Despair what become of Equestira, will the ponies meet Despair' wrath


Despair is one of the Shadow-kin or shadow people (look up hat man) the cover is what I think is close to what Despair looks like, no he is not me if that you thinking
Despair once was human before his powers awaken( the power output destroyed his old human body) turning him into what he is now sadly he no longer human in any way shape nor form

Shade-body: your form no longer of the physical world makes you immure to all physical attacks
Immortal spark: you are outside of time ageless unable to be fully killed (due the amount unused life energy build up from being stone for eons)
Shadow forge: thanks to your form you can forge weapons out of your own body and shoot balls of energy out your palms
Eye of the Reapers: you have the power to see the lifespans of others
The Reaper: by feeding off of others life -force or pain your abilities increase tenfold

Weakness
The magical metal Sliver do to it's properties can harm you greatly
you are weakest during the day the light drains you (but you are able to walk in daylight)
