A flash of light. A sudden ray full of colors that hit in an instance, taking away the short amount of freedom Discord had gained. Leaving only a cold statue in its wake.

"NO! The elements couldn't have worked... They couldn't! I stopped those ponies and broke their petty friendships with my chaos!" Discord gave a pained sigh.
"My chaos", he repeated. "My beautiful chaos, and look what it brings me to yet again!" He looks around at his surroundings, and sees that it is the same as before. Darkness everywhere, no hope of escape from his stone imprisonment.
"Chaos is supposed to be unpredictable, yet it seems easy for Celestia to predict that it will be stopped by those blasted elements! Yes, my chaos and disharmony only seems to bring their effects onto me! One day of fun for me and my tricks and what? A few more hundred years of boring imprisonment. Why?", Discord asked.
He knew though. discord knew why he was always punished for spreading his chaos and disharmony to Equestria. "No one else enjoys it. All these ponies have bought into the beliefs of Celestia! They all embrace harmony and reject my disharmony! I am not the problem, they all are!", Discord yelled.
He glanced around yet again at his dark surroundings that were punishment for his ways. He began to feel insecure though in his beliefs.
"If chaos is good though, then why does everyone else reject it... No! I am the master of chaos, and it is my duty to be the one to spread it throughout Equestria, regardless if the ponies avoid it like the plague." Discord pondered his latest revelation. "But why? Why was I born to be the one that was hated? Why am I the one that must be the embodiment of pure chaos? What has chaos over done for me?"
A quiet crack sounded throughout the inside of the stone statue, but it went unnoticed by the Draconequus, as he was still in the middle of his passionate mental debate.
"In fact, chaos has never done anything for me! Unless of course I count having me imprisoned or hated by the entirety of Equestria!"

Unaware of the noise, Discord continued, "Chaos. A word never used to compliment, and the power of chaos itself has never complimented me. It made me a hated ruler, and I hate it!"
CRACK Light began to dimly shine between the cracks that broke between the darkness, but their presence went unnoticed by Discord.
"If chaos was embodied in an entity other than myself I'm sure it would be laughing at my misfortune; well maybe I deserve the last laugh! Chaos no longer has a controlling grip on me, I cast it off!"
The cracks grew wider and the intruding light became brighter.
"I, Discord, disown chaos!"
One loud final CRACK resounded through the stone imprisonment, and Discord looked around in shock as the darkness that he was accustom to vanished completely before his eyes, being replaced by a blinding light, along with the thunderous sound of stone breaking and rubbing against itself.
