...The Power Is Theirs...
Adagio, Aria, and Sonata felt a tingling sensation run down their backs while they were drinking their various drinks. They looked at each other with grins and smirks, which only grew bigger when Contrast Contract, which he said was his name in any case, popped into the room and pulled up a seat.
"It is done," he said, grin never leaving his face.
"What'd you do to her," Aria asked excitedly.
"Did you break a few bones and leave her to try and find an ambulance?" Adagio asked.
"You kidding? He probably raped her then left her somewhere for others to do the same," Aria exclaimed, giving a smug grin while Adagio looked slightly mortified.
"You're both wrong," Sonata said quietly. "He removed her from our path permanently."
"Closest by far, I did the most effective thing that required minimal effort," Contrast said evenly, his grin getting wider. "I simply killed her, and now you have the power you wanted."
With a snap of his fingers the three girls looked around to find him gone, but their eyes were glowing black at the edges with small, flickering tendrils of shadow licking the air. Sonata drew in a huge breath of air, and started to sing.
Three days later:
The city of Canterlot was in flames, people argued with a fury as they hid from attack or were else running around with some type of weapon to attack. The Dazzlings were gaining energy like never before, they had gathered more energy in their three days as rulers than in the entirety of their time in Equestria. The Mane 5 were unaffected by the Sirens power still, but they had anger, and they were at the mercy of their hated enemies.
The 5 friends were in what remained of the school, it being the first place to be hit by the Sirens when they started their takeover. The students were immediately at each other's throats when the now godly trio weren't around, making everyone kneel or bow to them when they did show up however.
"We need to get Twilight back over here to help us fix this," Rainbow Dash shouted from her position under the auditorium stage with the other four.
"Believe me, I would love to call on her but the portal statue was broken darling, remember?" Rarity asked, pointing a flippant hand in the general direction of the mentioned statue. Not that the Sirens would have known but the destruction of the statue had been to their benefit, and to their detriment.
"I think we should just go for the Dazzlings by acting like we give up... You know if that sounds like a good idea, maybe not," Fluttershy mentioned, hiding more and more behind her hair and the box near her as she spoke her mind.
"Sounds like a good idea, but we ain't really got a means to actually stop'em even if we did get to'em," Applejack commented.
"So, Aria, is this more to your liking?" Adagio asked as Aria sat back in her recliner, watching as the negative energy flowed into her new pendant, which was the color of her eyes, without actually doing anything.
"Oh yeah, this is great," she replied with a sense of genuine satisfaction in her voice. Looking over she noticed Sonata fidgeting in her seat, before jumping up and walking out the door of their house. "What's her problem?"
"How the heck should I know?"
Sonata walked down the battle worn streets of Canterlot, noticing every single body that was left to rot where they fell, or were blown to. One thing causes her to pause, though, on the side of the road on top of a pile of bodies is the head of Flash Sentry.
"Oh no, if that Twilight girl comes back and sees this she might be a bigger problem than last time," Sonata breathed to herself. With a windup she round house kicked the head into a nearby pool, causing several people to come out of hiding, which then caused them to lay prostrate on the ground as she continued to walk by. She could hear their mumbled praises on her presence and beauty, the same words given to the others. She hated it, it wasn't adoration if it was scripted, lifeless, forced. She wanted true adoration, and this wasn't it. I kind of wish I never told that Contrast Contract to kill Sunset Shimmer. She would have stopped us by now, I wonder why her friends haven't come running in with the "Princess of Friendship" already?
