Aria was panting as the trio finally got away from the Shell Stage, "What...What was that!?" "N-no idea," Sonata replied, her hands on her knees. "I wasn't asking you stupid!" "Enough! That, my dear, was Equestrian magic that should have been ours! If only that little bitch Shimmer hadn't managed to keep them together as friends," Adagio said, mumbling at the end as her foolproof plan was obliterated so spectacularly that it even got the gems the girls used to explode and leave them powerless. "I will have my revenge on Sunset Shimmer!" Blood started to trickle from the wounds on her palms her fingernails dug into. "I want her to suffer even more than you do Adagio!" Aria stated, pointing at the eldest Siren. "Maybe I'll let you have your way with her when I'm done, if she's even breathing." Aria let out a harsh laugh, Sonata on the other hand just seethed silently as her once beautiful necklace now lay as a blank band around her neck. "You? You won't be able to touch her as you are now Aria," Adagio crossed her arms and shifted onto one hip. "I on the other hand still have my cunning and wit." The three continued like this, arguing with each other, all the way back to their little house twenty blocks from the school, but thirty from the Shell Stage. Leaving them with an hour to yell and grunt at each other. None of them noticed the figure that was stalking them, getting closer as their anger grew, feeding off of each of them, into an almost physical form. The front door slammed as Aria, the last in the line to enter the house, kicked it with a foot. She had ran out of breath about twenty minutes ago so was more interested in getting to bed, only to bump into the other two. "Why the hell are you two just standing there?" Aria grumbled, forcing her way to the front. She stopped when she soon became face-to-face with a boy around their age, dressed in all black and wearing a mischievous smile on his face. He was all white, from his skin to his hair to his eyes and nails. His grin kept widening as he stared into Aria's black soul. "I can give it to you," came a hollow voice that emanated from the boy's throat, even though his mouth never stopped smiling. "I can give you revenge and give you power, your anger and hatred for this 'Sunset Shimmer' has called to me and given me physical form." The being stepped back a little and motioned to the couch and chairs where they all promptly took a seat save for the white man. "I will warn you, I am guaranteed to succeed in the task-" "Then why are you warning us? I mean, if we have you do it you better succeed," Aria interrupted. "Because know that even though your revenge will be swift, and your power greater than before, the consequences of killing this Equestrian-human being will be more severe than you may be willing to endure." Surprisingly it was Sonata that spoke next, "Do it." //-------------------------------------------------------// ...The Power Is Theirs... //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note This Chapter contains one or two sensitive comments and slight gore. Have fun! ...The Power Is Theirs... Adagio, Aria, and Sonata felt a tingling sensation run down their backs while they were drinking their various drinks. They looked at each other with grins and smirks, which only grew bigger when Contrast Contract, which he said was his name in any case, popped into the room and pulled up a seat. "It is done," he said, grin never leaving his face. "What'd you do to her," Aria asked excitedly. "Did you break a few bones and leave her to try and find an ambulance?" Adagio asked. "You kidding? He probably raped her then left her somewhere for others to do the same," Aria exclaimed, giving a smug grin while Adagio looked slightly mortified. "You're both wrong," Sonata said quietly. "He removed her from our path permanently." "Closest by far, I did the most effective thing that required minimal effort," Contrast said evenly, his grin getting wider. "I simply killed her, and now you have the power you wanted." With a snap of his fingers the three girls looked around to find him gone, but their eyes were glowing black at the edges with small, flickering tendrils of shadow licking the air. Sonata drew in a huge breath of air, and started to sing. Three days later: The city of Canterlot was in flames, people argued with a fury as they hid from attack or were else running around with some type of weapon to attack. The Dazzlings were gaining energy like never before, they had gathered more energy in their three days as rulers than in the entirety of their time in Equestria. The Mane 5 were unaffected by the Sirens power still, but they had anger, and they were at the mercy of their hated enemies. The 5 friends were in what remained of the school, it being the first place to be hit by the Sirens when they started their takeover. The students were immediately at each other's throats when the now godly trio weren't around, making everyone kneel or bow to them when they did show up however. "We need to get Twilight back over here to help us fix this," Rainbow Dash shouted from her position under the auditorium stage with the other four. "Believe me, I would love to call on her but the portal statue was broken darling, remember?" Rarity asked, pointing a flippant hand in the general direction of the mentioned statue. Not that the Sirens would have known but the destruction of the statue had been to their benefit, and to their detriment. "I think we should just go for the Dazzlings by acting like we give up... You know if that sounds like a good idea, maybe not," Fluttershy mentioned, hiding more and more behind her hair and the box near her as she spoke her mind. "Sounds like a good idea, but we ain't really got a means to actually stop'em even if we did get to'em," Applejack commented. "So, Aria, is this more to your liking?" Adagio asked as Aria sat back in her recliner, watching as the negative energy flowed into her new pendant, which was the color of her eyes, without actually doing anything. "Oh yeah, this is great," she replied with a sense of genuine satisfaction in her voice. Looking over she noticed Sonata fidgeting in her seat, before jumping up and walking out the door of their house. "What's her problem?" "How the heck should I know?" Sonata walked down the battle worn streets of Canterlot, noticing every single body that was left to rot where they fell, or were blown to. One thing causes her to pause, though, on the side of the road on top of a pile of bodies is the head of Flash Sentry. "Oh no, if that Twilight girl comes back and sees this she might be a bigger problem than last time," Sonata breathed to herself. With a windup she round house kicked the head into a nearby pool, causing several people to come out of hiding, which then caused them to lay prostrate on the ground as she continued to walk by. She could hear their mumbled praises on her presence and beauty, the same words given to the others. She hated it, it wasn't adoration if it was scripted, lifeless, forced. She wanted true adoration, and this wasn't it. I kind of wish I never told that Contrast Contract to kill Sunset Shimmer. She would have stopped us by now, I wonder why her friends haven't come running in with the "Princess of Friendship" already? //-------------------------------------------------------// ...The End Begins... //-------------------------------------------------------// ...The End Begins... Contrast Contract looked at the school with an amused look on his face, those three girls really did a number on this place didn't they? Walking up to the statue he furrowed his brow even though he still grinned, well this complicates things, how in the world am I to get that Twilight Sparkle over here with this thing busted? Contrast then walked into the school and headed for the auditorium. "Hello? Are the Rainbooms in here?" Contrast asked walking to the stage. He listened as he heard a stifled cry of fear and several shushing sounds. "I swear, I only want to help." "Why should we believe you?" came a hotblooded reply, Rainbow Dash if he wasn't mistaken. "Because I can help get your Princess into this world." He watched as the five girls crawled out of their hiding place and made their way towards them, two of them with weapons in their hands. "We're listening, but don't try anything or Ah'll hurt you fella," Applejack said, raising her family shotgun. He looked over to Rainbow Dash and saw her brandishing a chef's knife. Pinkie Pie had a bat, but it was across her back somehow. "I'm going to start off with introductions, I'm Contrast Contract. I am a being made of pure emotion, previously it is the Dazzlings hatred that give me form. But you five have given off more hatred than before so I want to help you beat the Sirens, since I regret giving them their new power and they need to pay," Contrast said, mouth always smiling, as his grin took on a slightly darker tone. "So you want to right the wrong you created?" Rarity asked. "Precisely. I'll even reverse the damage caused to the properties." "What about the people killed?" Fluttershy asked. "I can bring them back too when you beat the Sirens." "Deal," Rainbow Dash said, grabbing Contrast's hand and shaking it. His grin widening, he snapped his fingers and in his place was Twilight Sparkle. "Woah, what happened?" Twilight asked as she then looked around and in a higher voice asked the question again. Author's Note Short section, oh well want to leave the rest for the last couple chapters since these are so short. //-------------------------------------------------------// ...And Their Regret Is Suffocating... //-------------------------------------------------------// ...And Their Regret Is Suffocating... Sonata. Sonata raised her head off of her pillow, listening as her name was being spoken to her, but by who she did not know. SONATA! The siren grabbed her head and whimpered as it pounded like a drum and the feeling of her breath being sucked away froze her in place. She was expecting it though, for this was the fourth night since she got her new powers, and the fourth night this has happened to her. This must have been what Contrast was talking about by price. Similar things were happening to the other Sirens in their bedrooms as well. None of them knew what was truly happening to them though, none of the three could see that the shadows from their pendants and eyes were stabbing their heads and throats. School Auditorium: "So this is The Dazzling's work? But how can they get their powers back? Who is this Contrast Contract?" Twilight asked once her five friends finished retelling her the events of the past three days. "We don't know sugarcube, he just showed up out of the blue and said he'd bring you here if we made a deal." "More like out of the black! It is suuupppper dark in here but his white body really stood out in Contrast! Then he made a deal which is a Contract!" Pinkie exclaimed hopping around on the stage excitedly. "Pinkie, how long have you been waiting to say that?" Rainbow groaned. "Oh about three hours, why Dashie?" "Because that was really bad." "Enough! So how do we defeat them?" Twilight listened as the five girls made various noises that were quickly crushing her hopes that they would win in a confrontation against them. "Nothing?" they all shook their heads. "I guess its a good thing I brought back-up," an eerie, hollow voice cried out all around them as Contrast Contract sulked out of the shadows, his grin smaller than usual, as he carried Sunset's corpse in his arms. Her body seemed well preserved surprisingly and Twilight was quick to shoot him an angry glare. "I take it you're Contrast?" Twilight asked, venom laced in her words. "I am, and I don't like that much venom Twilight, place use less of it in the future. I haven't done anything to you directly," Contrast said, using his mouth for the first time, revealing that his teeth are pointed. "How'd she die? Do you know?" Rarity asked. "Yes I do." "Well? Spit it out already!" Dash shouted. "I killed her." There was a brief pause as everyone present, save Contrast, put on horrified looks that quickly changed to angry glares. "Why did you bring her here?" Twilight questioned, trying to keep her cool while also thinking up hundreds of ways to inflict pain on her newest friend's killer. "I said I brought reinforcements. This is my back-up." He waved a hand at the dead Shimmer before snapping his fingers and disappearing once again. No one moved, they just stared at Sunset's body until Fluttershy shrieked. "I-I think she moved!" she cried as the others quickly dashed over to Sunset to see she had, in fact, moved. Her eyes fluttered open and her hazy vision was awash in color. She recognized those colors from somewhere. "Gu-girls? Is that you?" Sunset croaked, struggling to keep her eyes open and free of tears. "Are, are you all dead?!" She quickly shot upright, causing her head to pound, as she surveyed the remains of the building around them. "Or...am I alive?" She looked down at her hands before wiggling her fingers and stretching out to grab Twilight. "Where are we, and why am I alive!?" "We're at what's left of Canterlot High, the Dazzlings are in control of the city and I don't know why you're no longer dead but we need you to help us defeat the Dazzlings again." "The Dazzlings? They're the ones who wanted me dead-" she grunted in pain as her head forced her to swim through memories of her last moments before dying. "Where's the white kid in black?" she growled. "Just missed him Shimmie, he was all like; I'll help you beat the Sirens! And we were all like yeah right who are you? And he went-" "PINKIE!" "What? I was answering her question," the pink haired girl pouted. "He was just here, he's the one who brought you back to us," Fluttershy mumbled as she knelt beside Sunset. "He also told us how all this happened." "Well, lets come up with a plan," Sunset said, grinning. Dazzle Manor: Day Four The three Sirens awoke to the sounds of people hitting the ground outside of their rooms. With long practice they all open their doors at the same time to see their servants unconscious and Contrast standing before them. "Where have you been Contrast?" Adagio asked. "Finding the perfect candidates to reverse the damage you caused while being able to feed me with enough anger to sustain my form and power." "WHAT!? Your trying to stop us? That makes no sense!" Sonata cried. "Who are you sending?" "That my dear is a surprise," he winked. "Ta-ta!" Snap! "What do we do now Adagio?" Aria snarked. "Are we just going to let the intruders into our home?" "I would," Sonata whimpered. "When I wanted the world to adore me I wasn't expecting so much violence. I never wanted people to die from our influence!" "What? This has always been the way of it retard! This is nothing new!" Aria shouted. "Aria! You know we've been hiding this from her until recently, can you blame her?" Aria bristled and growled before replying, "I guess not but still she said we should let them stop us." "Of course, if its the Rainbooms and or Twilight they might forgive us!" Sonata reasoned. "Please, even if we ask for their forgiveness do you think they would? Adagio?" "I think anything is possible and we have gone too far this time. I agree with Sonata, too many people have died. Even if we kept ruling there won't be anyone left for long, we already have half the city destroyed and even more of its population dead in the streets. We meet with the attackers and ask for forgiveness. If Contrast is with them we ask him to reverse everything we did and take our powers away." With that Adagio turned and left for the 'throne room.' Author's Note Ooohhhhh, the end is nigh and the Sirens want this to end as well...Hhmm I wonder if the Rainbooms and Twilight Sparkle will be merciful? If they are will Contrast let them? I know how this will end but I wonder how you guys would have this story end? Leave your endings in the Comments below!!!! (Notice: Your responses will in no way impact the ending, its just so you can think deeply into yourselves and find your heart of friendship, or your sword of judgement.) //-------------------------------------------------------// ...But None Had Forgiven! //-------------------------------------------------------// ...But None Had Forgiven! Outside Siren Manor: "So let me make sure I understand this correctly," Rainbow Dash said as the party reached the gate with knife swinging around as she restates everything to do for the plan. "We walk in, just, stroll right on inside, find the Dazzlings, and stop them. By force if necessary?" she finishes, pointing with her knife to AJ's shotgun. "Yup, pretty much, at the very least beat the, how would you say it Rainbow, beat the tar out of them?" Twilight asks the athlete who had already hopped the fence and was a third of the way to the mansion. Pinkie slips through the bars and grabs her bat that had been somehow attached to her back with her hands before continuing onward. Rarity had simply opened the gate and walked through, shortly followed by Twilight, AJ, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer. They all had been silent, watching for guards or the like on the lawn as they made their way to the front steps that led to the door. Twilight took the lead and tried simply opening the door to no avail. Applejack shooed Twilight from the door and leveled the shotgun at the doorknob, blowing a hole in the door where the lock used to be as everyone else covered their ears with their hands. Siren Manor, Throne Room: BOOM! "What the hell?" Aria asked as a loud noise filled the large room she and the other two girls were in. She looked to Adagio, who had seated herself atop her recliner that served as her throne. "That must be the company. Contrast! Are you going to greet our guests? I know you're still here," Adagio shouted into the open air, looking everywhere for a sign of the wretched demon. When after several minutes passed without any sound the throne room door slowly opened and the Sirens' watched as Twilight Sparkle shoved the door open for the other six girls to rush into the room, with Rainbow Dash and Rarity in front brandishing kitchen knives, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie coming in next with bats, and Applejack entering behind Twilight with her shotgun aimed at Adagio. "Adagio, you and your sisters will pay for the damage and deaths you caused," Twilight shouted, pointing a finger at the three shocked villains. "Consider this your trial, how do you plea?" "Guilty," the Dazzlings all said in unison. "Please, can you forgive us?" Sonata asked as she fell to her knees, Rainbow Dash behind her with a look that spoke that she wanted blood. "Hold on," Everyone looked at the entrance to the room as Sunset Shimmer stepped forth and passed Twilight and the others so that she stood in front of them. "How are you alive, we were told you were killed by Contrast Contract?" Aria asked before being pushed down by the Fashionista, who set her knife on Aria's shoulder while humming that she should be quiet and not move. "He, brought me back, as he said he would for everyone who died and even reverse the property damage that was caused by all this. You asked if we can forgive you, well I am willing to risk a second chance on you three," Sunset said, earning surprised looks from everyone in the room, even Twilight. "Are you sure Sunset, I mean I'm all for forgiveness but these three had you killed and killed half of the city in a matter of days," Twilight asked, placing a hand on Sunset's shoulder. With a nod the element bearers all dropped their weapons and helped the Siren's to their feet. "NO!" Contrast appeared from the middle of the room and all three Sirens were immediately lifted off the ground by the very darkness that permeated from their eyes and pendants, choking them. "They were supposed to die! That is how I feed! "I figured as much, that's why you were willing to reverse the deaths, because you would still receive the energy from the possible deaths that the lives of these three had created if you devoured their souls," Twilight stated. "Quick everyone join hands, we might be able to call on the Magic of Friendship to stop him and and reverse the damage caused. Once everyone had done as they were told, the light of their elements immediately started to envelop them and concentrate into a ball that was aimed at Contrast while everything outside was slowly turning back to normal and bodies replaced by people in a daze-like state as a rainbow that moved through the sky like the Northern Lights covered the entire city. The ball of light shot out one multi-colored beam that hit Contrast square in the back making him give an animalistic screech before disappearing, the three captive girls falling to the floor, unmoving. Canterlot Cemetery, 5 Days after the Defeat of Contrast Contract: Twilight and the Rainbooms were standing in front of three nearly identical headstones. Each had the etching of a Siren on them while below read the names of the three creatures. "I'm not going to lie, its good riddance if you ask me," Rainbow said, kicking a nearby pebble into Aria's headstone. "Rainbow Dash! They might have been evil but it was all they knew, besides we got Shimmer back and they wanted our forgiveness which speaks volumes about their understanding of their deeds in the end," Rarity admonished, placing a hand on both Rainbow and Sunset. "Ah'm just glad the nightmare's over with," AJ stated. "So am I, but Oh, I wish they hadn't died! If only we acted sooner when Contrast appeared-" "There was nothing more we could do," Sunset said, cutting Fluttershy off. "Once we saw what he was doing we tried to stop him as fast as we could, it just wasn't fast enough." The girl's stood silently staring at the graves for a while longer, before slowly each one left until only Twilight remained, who magically disappeared about as quickly as one would blink. Author's Note Well, here it is, the long awaited (or dreaded) ending to the tale of the Dazzling's revenge. It was a fun (for some of you) ride that hopefully will get better with future stories I write for you all. As always, Comment, (dis)Like, Favorite(If you liked it enough) and Stay Epicly Awesome Everypony! Silver Nightshade //-------------------------------------------------------// ...The Revenge Enacted... //-------------------------------------------------------// ...The Revenge Enacted... Sunset Shimmer was watching her friends say goodbye to Twilight and watched as Vinyl drove off to her own home. Everything was as it should, she was friends with most of the school now, said school was no longer under attack by otherworldly beings made from and/or using Equestrian magic, and she was now a member of the Rainbooms. This night could be better, but it could get worse. After saying goodbye to Rarity, who had kindly drove Sunset home to her flat, she entered her living area and gave it a small smile. Until she saw the all white male in black street clothes sitting at her tiny table, drinking a glass of water while wearing a grin to rival Pinkie's once his eyes landed on hers. "Good evening, you must be Ms. Shimmer correct? Oh of course you are come have a seat," the man motioned towards the other chair in the small space, disregarding the fact that she was the owner and he was the intruder. Okay, if I'm quick I can drop him and interrogate him on why he's here. "Sunset, you wound me, do you really think you can get the drop on me? In any case I was going to explain my visit to you, now let's do this like the civilized pony and otherworldly being that you and I are respectively hmm?" Sunset was stunned, otherworldly being? She quietly sat down on the easy chair near the man and he, in turn, turned so he was facing her. "So why are you here?" "Good question, here's the answer. You essentially attacked and destroyed three girls bent on controlling the world by blowing up their only link to magic, their pendants. As such, they name you sole recipient of their anger and solely seek revenge on you, since they had defeated the other six girls before you intervened. So, why am I here? I am the instrument of their revenge and the giver of more power than they can imagine. In short, I am here to end you," once the last words were said Sunset opened her mouth to retort but the man snapped his fingers and Sunset grabbed her chest as her heart literally exploded. She gasped for a couple moments before hitting the floor, blood slowly leaving her mouth. "Looks like the bad guys won this round my dear." The man snapped his fingers again and was gone, leaving Sunset's corpse on the floor, a horrified look stuck to her face. Author's Note So I'm not going to lie, I consider Sunset Shimmer to be Best Equestria Girl, tied only with Fanfiction Sonata for 1st place. So I understand how mad some of you Bronies are going to be to see me kill her off with no fight. Your revenge will be swift, I promise you.
