Five Nights At Pinkie's: The Tetralogy
Night Three
Previous ChapterNext ChapterGood Celestia I'm tired. I got no sleep yet again. And when I did I kept having the strangest dreams. Oh well. It was probably from lack of sleep. I walk into the office and sit down. My third night. Just two more after this. Unless of course I want overtime, then three more nights. I sigh and lay back. I turn on the tablet and wait until twelve a.m. before hearing the phone ring. I let it go until I hear it click and Phone Mare started talking. “Hello hello! See? I told you you wouldn’t have any problems!” I smile and roll my eyes. “Did, uh, did Rainbow ever appear? Uh, probably not. Uh I was just curious. Like I said, she was always my favorite.” She stopped for a second, and I heard clicking in the background, someone saying something incoherent, and a door closing. Then she started talking again. “They tried to remake Rainbow ya’ know? They, uh, they thought the first one was too scary so they redesigned her to make her more filly-friendly and put her in kids cove. To keep the younger foals entertained you know. . . But foals these days just don’t keep their hooves to themselves. We literally had to put Firefly back together after every shift, so eventually we just stopped trying.” Again, she stopped. I started looking around the tablet.
None of the toy animatronics had moved yet, but when I turned to the Parts and Service Room and turned on the light, I saw Old Twilight was gone. My eyes widened. Already!? I flick to the Main Hall and see her standing near the door. Phone Mare went on: “Oh, hey, before I go, I want to ease your mind about any rumors you heard about this place.” She laughed a bit nervously. “You know these stories come and go and seldom mean anything.” Once again, she paused. It was silent for a second, the only thing heard was the music box that I was just beginning to wind. It was going down fairly quickly tonight. “I-I can personally assure you that, whatever is going on out there, however tragic it may be, has nothing to do with our establishment. It’s just all rumors and speculation, ponies trying to make a bit, uh, you know.”
I knew she was lying about that since she started. She sounds like she’s making it up as she goes, pausing to think of something to say. I shrug it off, and keep listening in case she says something that’s actually important. “Uh, our guard during the day has reported nothing unusual. And she’s on watch from opening til close.”
I sigh slightly hear her say her shaky farewell before the phone clicks and I'm left alone for another night. I sigh and wind the music box slowly. The night might as well just drag on slowly. It’s only one thirty anyway. I flash the light at Rainbow and once again, she growls, but holds her stance. After a couple more flashes, she turns and walks off, her ragged, disgusting tail wagging slightly behind her. I shudder at the thought of her sharp teeth digging into my flesh.
Shaking my head, I quickly dismiss the thought. I can't think about that. I’ll get too paranoid. He sighed and checked the time. Two o’ one. I groan and roll my eyes. This was going to be a long night. And I was right. Though the toy animatronics, including Surprise, came in once or twice, it was going pretty slowly. Even Old Twilight came in once and my mask worked fine. It was about three fifty when Old Pinkie came in scanning me once or twice before her eyes narrowed and she left. It wasn’t really bad after that. No one came in except for the occasional Balloon Kid Thing, that I think I'm gonna name Spike. Don't ask why, it just came to mind. The mask worked easily and he wasn’t able to get my batteries from my flashlight. It was a nice night so far, and I was doing well, not freaking out over something stupid.
I smile at myself and check the time. Four fifty. I smile and nod, continuing to check the tablet. I wind the music box quickly and lay back when I’m done. This night is going well. And, though it’s Wednesday, the animatronics are fairly calm. Maybe I’m just lucky. I flash the light quickly at Rainbow, and she growls once more, but stays this time. Pinkie’s in the hallway, her eyes pitch black. I decided to put down the tablet for a while unless I needed to wind the music box or something.
I lean back and listen to the sounds of the restaurant: the fan moving, a clock ticking slowly, footsteps in the air vents, the music of the music box farther off- wait, footsteps in the air vents!? I quickly check the right vent seeing Posey staring at me, her eyes dark and her muzzle ripped off her face. I stuff into the helmet, and she climbs out scanning me. I try to hold my breath, but I accidentally sputter a bit. Her eyes light up and she tears off the mask, chaffing my neck slightly. I wince a bit before hearing her scream and jump towards me. My eyes widen and I run into the vents, crawling through with her close on my tail.
No, no, no, I need to get out of here! I get out of the vents and hear her scream again, echoing through the vents. I run out of the party room and towards the door. I’m almost there! That is before I realize there’s a table in front of me and I run into it.
My eyes open and I look around a bit, seeing Old Twilight, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash in front of me. I stand up and look down seeing two pink hooves. I hear something behind me. It was a strangely distorted “S”. I walk towards it, seeing the ‘Rarrionette’ being pulled towards the main hall. I quickly follow, well, I follow as quickly as possible. My ears perk slightly when I hear an “A” in front of me. I turn my head, looking at my surroundings and seeing a slumped over golden Earth pony. “V”. I shudder slightly and keep walking, following the Rarrionette. I feel myself slowly get slower as I go.
“E”. As I walk into the next room, I feel my heart stop. In front of me, lays a small, lifeless body of a filly. I steer away from it, trying to ignore the scent of blood in my nose. I bite my lip slightly, and continue to follow the puppet. I turn the way the Rarrionette went, and see blood covering the floor. “H”. The puppet turned and went into what looked like the party room, where her present sat. I slowly walk towards it. “I”. Flattening my ears at that, I feel my hooves become heavier. I go slower as I walk forward, hearing some static fill my ears as I keep walking. “M”. I black out.
