While on a shopping trip to Canterlot to buy gifts for family and friends, Princess Twilight Sparkle and Spike notice a unicorn couple in complete misery. When they identify themselves as Sunset Shimmer's biological parents, Twilight finds herself on a new task that she hasn't ever performed before.

Luckily, she has the right kind of tools to get the job done. The only hard part is what will she do if Sunset's parents learn of their daughter's deeds that she has been keeping from them?

Frankly, that's something Sunset has to deal with on her own, but can she handle the emotional pressure that comes with it; and will her parents still love her when she confesses?
