This story follows multiple characters through the dark future of Equestria, a future in which there is no Celestia, no Elements of Harmony, and very little hope for the survival of ponies as a race. Strange entities of vast, cosmic power have unseated the forces of light from the divine throne in this perverse future, leaving ponies to fend for themselves in the aftermath of that cataclysmic event.

FYI, this story isn't necessarily told in chronological order. The chapters often occur at various times in the story's plot and aren't always sequential.
