Chapters "Mommy, are you here?" asked the 7 year-old colt as he returned from school to his small two-story apartment.
Eventually, the ambulance came and took them both to the Cloudsdale ER. But sadly, it was to late. His mother had died of blood loss. Leaving the sad LawWing in his mother's hospital room. About 10 minuets later, a Doctor ushered him to a mare in a black suit with a purple bowtie. She was a "Social Service Worker" as LawWing was told. She took him to a building that sad Orphanage. He knew what this word meant.
RING RING RING RING
"AHHH AHH AH!" screamed LawWing has he arose from His nightmare slumber.
He then sighed and threw his alarm clock out the window. Then, he put on his white suit and red tie. He then put his Flock 17 into his jacket pocket, and proceeded to work. Forgetting to eat breakfast, and pack his lunch.
LawWing unlocked his office door and walked into a casefile on his desk. He opened it up to see File #:5557547. Case type: Murder, 1st. Case Worker(s): LawWing, and GentleLure It was then, he noticed the desk next to his. He had gotten a trainee.
"Damnit D.A Octavia! You stuck me with a Trainee A.D.A!" he murmured as he slammed a hoof against his desk.
He then opened a desk draw and pulled out a file of his ENTIRE personality, past info, and info on his standing on certain things. He made this to remind himself of why he is who he is. It was then, his phone rang. It was the building secretary informing him that a visitor was coming up. He accidently put his file in the case file. He then heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." he replied.
The door opened, and a a white unicorn with a red mane walked in. Closing the door.
"Is this A.D.A. LawWing?" she asked in a sweet tone.
"Yep. Your GentleLure i presume? " he said.
"Er, yes. I heard your training me, and that you have a case for us?" she questioned.
"Ugh, here." he answered as he put the file on her desk.
She then began to read it. She read the case file, and then she saw LawWing's file. She wanted to know more about him so, she read it. After about 1 minute, she began to laugh. He looked over and saw the file. She had her hoof pointed to one word. Virgin. LawWings face turned a pale black. He ran out of his office and pounded on D.A. Octavia's door. She wasn't there so, he wrote a note saying "Went to breakfast." He then began to run to the coffee shop next to the CourtHouse. He entered and ordered a vanilla mocha, and a danish pastry.
He ate his breakfast and then his phone rang. It was his office phone, so he answered.
"LawWing, i'm sorry i read that document. But are you really a, err, you know what?" she asked, a little embarrassed.
"Yes... I just, never got what that stuff was about. Nor did I care. I'm a Prosecutor, not a pimp." he replied, cheeks red as tomatoes.
"If you come back to work, I won't tell anypony." she stated.
He then walked back to work, opened the door, closed it, and sat down. He just opened a desk drawer, pulling out a small china class of scotch. Taking a decent swig. Even though he shouldn't be drinking at work. Of course, he knew this. But just didn't care right now.
"Sir, pardon me for asking, but why are you making these choices. I've read the rest of this and, you barely have pony contact at all, yet alone sexual contact." she asked.
"Well, most people think i'm a psychotic lunatic or something. Yet alone mares." LawWing replied shyly.
"Hey, I haven't known you long, but you don't seem that bad. Just get some friends who understand you! Here, I'll start." GentleLure stated as she patted him on the shoulder.
"Well Gentle, we'd probably start working on the case." LawWing ordered.
They looked at the evidence, and the witness statements. Then, they started making their case. Deciding who they would call to the stand, and what they would say. The case was so easy, it went from 8:30 AM, to 1:30 PM, and they were done. LawWing then called the courthouse and confirmed the case for tomorrow. LawWing then realized he forgot to pack his lunch.
"Oh buck!" said a angry LawWing. "I forgot to pack my lunch..."
"Why don't you just go eat at the CourtHouse cafeteria across the street?" she retorted. "In Fact, why don't we both go!"
They then left their office, looking the door, and heading to the CourtHouse. When they got there, they were greeted by the clerk. They then proceed to the 2nd floor via elevator. Then, they stepped out and got into the cafeteria line. Both got the same thing, a hayburger with a lemon milkshake. Both laughed at this weird coincidence. Finding a open table, they sat down and began to eat.
"So, how long have you been a Assistant District Attorney?" Gentle asked.
"4 years. In fact, i applied just after I got my degree, and I turned 21 that day. Real interesting birthday!" he replied in a laugh.
PLOMP! Went LawWing as he accidently fell out of his chair. Exposing his briefcase cutie mark.
"Well, there's my clumsiness!" he said.

Sorry for the short chapters. I want to gain momentum, and get info for my next chapter. Also, please tell me about my writing. I love to hear reviews.
"All rise for the honorable Judge Harmonic Brush!" boomed the black and white bailiff.
"You may be seated as I read the charges against the defendant, Mr. Govi." announced the judge. "We have: 1 count murder in the 1st degree, and 1 count attempting to avoid arrest."
"How does the defendant plea?" she asked.
"Not guilty your honor." replied the devilish faced defendant's lawyer.
"And in the nation's opinion Mr. Wing, and Ms. Lure?" questioned Harmonic.
"Guilty on all counts." answered the two ponies in unison.
"I see." she remarked. "In that case, court is now in session!" she commanded as she banged her gavel.
"May I start?" questioned the defense attorney.
"Go ahead councilor." the judge replied.
"Yes your honor. To state my point, I call a Mrs. Hound to stand!" commanded the lawyer as the witness was brought to the stand and given the oath. "On the night of the incident, what did you see?"
"Well, I saw Mr. Govi, and he was, err." she shuddered.
"He was what? Spit it the buck out woman!" ordered the lawyer.
"Objection, witness badgering." LawWing stated.
"Sustained" concluded Judge Brush. "Please answer the question though, ma'am."
"He was having fun with a lady friend and well, his roommate just walked in!" she answered shyly. "He was screaming and shouting that she was his girlfriend"
"So, my client merely shot in self defense, not knowing what he would do, and afraid that he may hurt the girl." stated the lawyer with a smirk.
"Well, according to evidence, the bullets were found in the living room. And, the victim was in a corner, next to the shells." replied GentleLure. "He was clearly drug out of the room, beaten, and then shot!"
"I've heard enough!" shouted the judge. "I wish all cases could be this short. But anyways, I find Mr. Govi guilty on all counts. What does the nation request as punishment?"
"The nation recommends life in prison without parole." quoted Gentle from a parchment while LawWing nodded in agreement.
"Buck that!" screamed Mr. Govi as he pulled out a izi automatic weapon.
"Everyone get down, he's got a gun!" ordered LawWing. Pulling out his own Flock 17 pistol from his white suit.
10 minuets later
"Aw, my chest" whispered LawWing. All he could see was Gentle pointing and shouting something. Then he realized it was a body, bleeding out. It was D.A. Octavia. LawWing jumped up. Adrenalin filling him. He rushed over to her lifeless body. What he didn't know was that she had come to see how LawWing trains. She was intending to retire and give him the job. He then blacked out again.
LawWing woke up in a hospital. Heavily breathing as he awoke from his bullet induced sleep. He then saw Gentle sitting in a chair by his bedside. He knew exactly what he wanted to do first.
"Is Octavia ok?!" asked a frantic LawWing.
"She's, gone." announced Gentle; starting to flood her eyes with tears.
"And the judge?" said LawWing in a quite voice.
"Alive." she replied.
It was two days later that the funeral was held. Every DoJ official came. Even Princess Celestia came! It was a quite, and private ceremony. LawWing barley spoke for three weeks. He was given her job since she originally intended to give it to him. But now, court was back in session. With the defendant in handcuffs.
"Court is back in session!" boomed Harmonic Brush. "Also, congratulations D.A. LawWing."
"I believe we were at punishment?" questioned LawWing. "The nation recommends the Death Penalty."
"On what grounds?!" screamed the pestered judge.
"203 counts of attempted murder(3 being court officers), 1st degree murder in 2 counts(1 being a High Ranking court officer), and owning illegal weaponry." retorted Gentle.
"Granted." replied Harmonic. "Court is now adjourned!"
LawWing Walked into his new office. And GentleLure walked into her new office-or his ex one. They both had paper work to do involving the case. LawWing also had all flags in the nation put at half-mass to remember the tragedy of that week. LawWing even made a press statement about it. He really never knew Octavia that well. But she was a great woman, and a amazing prosecutor. What happens next, LawWing can't tell. But for now, he has a "interesting" new view on some pony.

Well, Policy is out the Window Now
Beep-boop-beep! "Um yes, Gentle, do you care to meet me for err, dinner tonight?" asked a nervous LawWing over his office phone.
"I think I know what you're up to, but I will. See you tonight!"
LawWing, had developed feelings for GentleLure. They had been friends for many months now. So, he thought he might have a chance. He was scared though. He never really took interest in mares. Nor has he even came close to having a mare friend. So, he decided to call open a website called "A Stallion's Guide to Wooing Mares!" When he clicked it, a music tune almost to "bow chica-wowo." He immediately left the website, cleared his web history, and rage quit. All he could do now is anticipate his fail at asking GentleLure to be his mare friend. He left work, and decided to get ready.
After a shower, hay-bar, and a crappy pep-talk, LawWing was more(or less)ready for his moment. He arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes prior to Gentle's arrival. She seemed a bit, "Tipsy." All he could think is that he is so boring, women have to drink to be with him. Well, no going back now!
"Jink Donalds much?" asked LawWing in a comedic manner.
"Girls night out..." she replied.
"So, ummm. I've been meaning to tell you something." he stated. "I kinda, well, like you..."
"Heh." commented Gentle in a weird-almost kinky way.
After that, a waiter came and took their drink orders. LawWing ordered a shardana, and Gentle ordered a small glass of rum... They just sat there, talking about certain things. All LawWing could notice is that here weird tone, and weird actions were getting more intense. He was even starting to become a bit uncomfortable. It was then, their drinks were delivered. The waiter then took their dinner orders. LawWing got the lobster bisque(being a stallion of fancy tastes.) And GentleLure ordered the prime rib. It was then, Gentle reacked her limit on weirdness.
"Want to come to my place after this?" she asked maniacally, smirk on her face.
"Sure!" he answered. Not knowing of these situations, didn't quite understand what she meant.
They then finished their meals and were given the bill. LawWing payed, obviously.
"Oh, would you like desert?" questioned the waiter?
"I have my desert right here!" she stated in a "interesting" tone, and winking at LawWing. LawWing, still being ignorant on this subject, just ignored it. This, would be his downfall. They walked their way to Gentle's three story home. LawWing still not knowing of what to come(no pun intended you pervs out there!) They walked upstairs to what seemed to be a decorated mahogany door. Gentle opened it to reveal a bed. LawWing just thought he would sleep in this(what he thought to be), guest room. But then, it hit him. The weird actions, the lack of any other bedrooms, the desert pun she made at the restaurant. It came to him like a brick to the face. It was then she kissed him, causing his eyes to narrow. Then, she yanked him in by his tie, and what happened next, even LawWing hadn't planned for.
1 passion filled night later
"Awww, what happened last night?" murmured a hung over GentleLure.
She then saw LawWing next to her, asleep. And the room smelled funny. It then clicked in her mind.
"OH BUCK!" she shouted. Waking up a confused, and embarrassed LawWing. "I am so so sorry for what happened! I was just, drunk..."
LawWing just sat there, cheeks red. Filled with stupidity.
"Erm... I don't really know how to respond so i chose to say, this is why i don't drink often..." he replied-expecting to be slapped.
He didn't get slapped at all. She just laughed. They decided to never speak of this again how ever, as they could be fired for this. The new couple just got dressed. They went to a early breakfast at the same cafe' LawWing ran away to on the day they met. Getting the same thing that he got on that fateful day. They had their breakfast and went to work. Hiding their dark secret. But something will happen soon, that LawWing can't fix. In Fact, this may just be his job's end.

Just incase nobody has realized yet, these chapters are supposed to be short. Also, this is THE biggest life fail. LawWing got screwed over in this one, quite literally.
