Sunset Shimmer's Help

Everything is still black. I can hear what sounds like a heart thermometer. You know, the thing that checks to see if your hearts beating or not? I slowly open my eyes. I'm in a hospital.

"Oh thank god!" A familiar voice said hugging me. I groaned in pain. "Oh, sorry." She apologizes. "I'm just... so happy that you're awake."

"Me too." I said quietly. "I'm so sorry Sunset. I should of came outside with you." I said as tears start forming in my eyes and run down my face. She places a hand to mine. I blushed a little as she held my hand.

"It's okay." She said giving me a warm smile. "Just be happy that you weren't out there. She pulled up and we threw our fists. She knocked me out. But when I got up I called the police. The paramedics took you to the ER. You have a broken arm and a twisted ankle. What happened?"

"She pushed me down the stairs." I said crying and staring at my broken arm. She brings me in for a hug as I also felt tears running down from her face.

"I'm so sorry." She said holding me tight. This will be a memory that will be impossible to erase. A girl that sexually abused me, and a friend who came to the rescue, before I was raped. She pulled me out of the hug, two police officers walked in the room.

"Hey buddy, you feeling alright?" Said the first officer. I nod my head. "That's good, because we came to tell you that you don't have to worry about that girl no more." As soon as I heard that. My face lit up a bit.

"W-where is she?"

"She's in jail for abusing you. She won't be getting out for a while." Said the second officer. "But thankfully your friend called us and we got there just in time." He said pointing at Sunset Shimmer. She just smiled.

"Well we better be off." Said the first officer. "Hope you get to feeling better buddy."

"Thank you." I said saying goodbye.

"Yeah, I wanted to return the favor."

"What favor?"

"You know. You saved me from those school bullies months back. And now it was my turn to return the favor silly." She said stroking my hair.

"Oh... right." I said as I finally remembered. A couple hours had passed, and the doctor had let me go home. Sunset helped me climb into my bed as She carefully lays me down. "Thanks." I said smiling.

"No problem." She said smiling back. "I guess I better head home now." She said as she heads to the door.

"Sunset wait!" I said as I quickly got up. She stops at her tracks to the door. "Theres something I have to tell you, and it's very important."

She comes back to the bed. Sitting right beside me.

"What is it?" Since that I haven't asked her out at all. Now's the time to drop the nuke.

"Sunset, I've been wanting to tell you something ever since we've met. I've been wanting to tell you before school ends, and..." I pause.

"What are you saying?"

"I... I like you." I said as those words came out of my mouth. Sunsets face turns into shock. Finally, I break the silence. "I like you, because when we first started hanging out. I always thought how good of a friend you really are. I thought there was a little small connection between you and I. I didn't ask you before because I didn't know how you would answer. But I..." I pause as I burst into tears. "To tell you the truth... I don't know what love really is." I closed my eyes as tears start running down my face. I felt a wait press against the side of my bed. "And that's also why I bought you that necklace, and I wrote the song As the Sun Sets, it was for you."

"I can teach you." Sunset said forming a smile on her face and tears also running down her face. "To be honest. I like you too. You always had my back when I needed you or not. You're really sweet, fun to hang around with, and you are a very talented musician. I wanted to ask you to, but after what happened. I didn't know if you'll take it or not." She said bringing her face closer. "So... with out a doubt. I'll be more then happy to date you. You made me so happy that... I thought I would never have a friend who cared for me. Even a friend who... had a crush on me for so long." We both smiled at each other, I didn't know what to think. We had each others backs, we hang out a lot, hell she even had feelings for me.

Neither of us speak a word or move a muscle as we looked into each others eyes. Then our lips lock. I jumped a bit and gladly respond in kind. She knows that this is my first kiss. So she didn't go any further. So no tongue, yet. I pressed my tongue to her lips, she opens her mouth in kind and our tongues dance as we battle for our lives. Sunset breaks the kiss and looks into my eyes.

"So...uh... are we... you know."

"Yes, yes your my new boyfriend." She said as she pulled me in for a hug.

"Hey, can we cuddle for a bit? I just need some company right now." I asked her with a smile. She giggles a little.

"Sure." She said as she laid her head on my chest. And we both drifted off to sleep.
