The room was dark, damp and barely illuminated by the few candles that hung here and there over the long table. Here it felt as though everything was dead and the time itself had stopped. However, that wasn’t the case – in the corner of the room where two big comfortable chairs were set aside from everything and couldn’t be lit by candles, two men were having a silent conversation. So silent, that even if you stood next to them, you couldn’t make out what they were saying, and they intended it to be so, because the matters they were discussing had to remain a big secret between them, or they could face big problems – they most surely would get killed without any hesitation or consideration of trial.

“So you’ll take care of it then and I have nothing to worry about, right?”

“As long as you keep quiet about it and give me some money, you should have it done soon enough,” the second man chuckled at the idea of having his hobby as a job and took a sip out of his glass of wine. “Of course, that is, if you can keep quiet. And again, I do need some money. You understand, in advance for some minor things like travel, food and to establish a little trust between us.”

“The money is on the table. I do trust you already given your… expertise.” The light didn’t reach the speaker’s face, but if it did, a shudder and a look of fear could be seen flash across his face.

“See you soon, then,” the second speaker got up, picked up the little money pouch from the table and quit the room smiling, knowing that he was going to have a lot of fun in the coming days.
