My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Season 4 - Episode 24 - Equestria Games - Part One

The train was heading to the Equestria Games Delegation. Pegasus ponies were doing pull ups and wing ups, Sweaty Belle, Scootaloo, and Applebloom were in their corner cheering and having a good time. Scootaloo even hovered off of the ground a little bit. Bulk Biceps was pumping iron, with Fluttershy standing on top of. You can imagine how funny that is. While Spike was restlessly keeping a dangerously piled stack of suitcases from toppling over. Who in their right mind would stack all the luggage like that? That's just asking for trouble.

"Listen up gang, we're almost there, so I've got a few things to say." said Rainbow Dash in a confidently, excited tone. "First off, who here besides me thinks that this is the best Equestria Games Delegation in Ponyville history?"

This really got the crowd riled up. Cheering and whooping filled the train for a few seconds.

Rainbow Dash continued "and no matter what your sport is, we gotta give it our best, because we all have a genuine shot at Ponyville gold!"

More cheering and whooping and "yeah"s came from the everypony. Even Spike, who previously was tired and dreary, was in on the cheering.

"Wiiiiiiith the possible exception of Bulk Biceps, Fluttershy, and me." Rainbow continued in a quieter voice. "I mean, we're good and all, but we're up against the Wonderbolts and the Arial Relay, so gold's kind-of a stretch, let's not kid ourselves."

"Don't feel bad Rainbow Dash, we have absolutely no shot at winning gold either." Scootaloo spoke up.

"Uh... That's because you are carrying the flag for Ponyville in the opening ceremony. There are no winners." responded Rainbow Dash.

"Winners or not, we still have a chance to be awesome."

"THAT's the spirit." whooped Rainbow Dash as she flew up into the air. "You hear that everypony? Winners or not, we all still have the chance to be awesome!"

More cheering filled the train cabin.

"But uh... let's still try to win lots and lots of stuff too, 'kay?"

With that, everypony else resumed their intense exercising as the train neared the Equestria Games.

The train slowed down as it had finally reached the Train Station.

Fluttershy, Bulk Biceps, Rainbow Dash, Derpy Hooves, two stallions and two mares, were the first off of the train, followed by Spike carrying a heavy bag, along with the Cutie Mark Crusaders in the back.

Spike heaved the final sack onto a metal cart. "It's all in there gang. Leave it to Spike, champion gear carrier for all yer gear carrying needs."

"And the Ponyville flag? You sure? And what about the flagpone?" interrupted Applebloom.

"In with the portable ramp." Spike said as he leaned against the cart, which rolled out of the way. Down he went, straight to the ground.

"Give it a rest Applebloom!" snapped Scootaloo.

"Awe, she's just nervous, that's all." said Spike as he got back up from his meeting with the concrete sidewalk. "Perfectly understandable. Whenever i'm afraid I'll forget something, I'll start to panic. I have a simple trick, I count to ten, and by the time i'm done, i've calmed myself enough to get the job done right every time. Easy-peasy cider squeezy."

Out of nowhere Spike got whisked away by some stallions in armor. "HEY!" he screamed. "put me down!"

"What's going on?!" yelled Scootaloo.

The guards made their way across the road and deposited Spike face first onto the road right in front of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Cadence.

"Spike, are you alright?!" Twilight said in a concerned tone.

"A thousond pardons your great and honorable Spike the brave and glorious." said one of the guards. With this spike became more confused than ever.

"Thanks for bringing spike to us." said Cadence as the guards turned around and walked off. "It's okay Spike, we'll have our hoof ponies go back for your bags."

"Ugh, can they hang back a second and tell me what's going on first?" Spike asked confused.

At the castle of the Crystal Empire spike was treated well for his earlier contributions during the invasion of Queen Chrysalis. He was now known as the Great and Honorable Spike the Brave and Glorious. Princess Cadence filled him in on the whole ordeal and showed him a brilliant statue of him holding the Crystal Heart. "This is why we all hope you do us the honor of lighting the torch at the opening ceremony. You'd be the very first dragon in the history of the Equestria Games to do so."

"Of course I will do it, and b..." Spike began but then got interrupted by a very loud explosion sound. Spike, Twilight and Cadence looked in the direction of the sound to find a huge red ring of blinding light high up in the sky, and a line of red light extending from the center of the circle all the way to a forest in the distance.

"Does this mean that the Equestria Games are cancelled?" asked spike.

"No, silly" replied Twilight Sparkle "But now I will have to calm everypony down and let them know everything is fine and they can continue with their games, we are not going to let a rainboom stop one of the most important events of the year now are we?"

"I thought only Rainbow Dash could cause a rainboom." said Spike.

"Me too, we'll worry about finding this somepony later, right now, we have a game to start."

All the ponies in the bleachers of the Equestrian Games Stadium were cheering loudly, for they thought the rainboom was part of the introduction sequence. "Places for the procession everypony, two minutes!" said a guard pony. Twilight Sparkle arrived at the stage, where Cadence, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and other royalty sat. She looked around, bowed to Princess Celestia, and sat down on her throne.

Spike made his way to the torch, slowly. "Now, please welcome the Delegation from Ponyville!" said the announcer guard. "Ponyville forever!" said Sweety Belle and Applebloom in unison. Scootaloo burst through on a motorized scooter. Rainbow Dash flew in next yelling "Awesome!", then Fluttershy saying "yay." and Bulk Biceps and Derpy.

"I'd thought they'd be panicking." said Twilight to Princess Celestia.

"Why would you think that? They believe the rainboom was part of the introduction sequence, they thought it was rather splendid the way they all cheered." replied Celestia.

"Oh, makes sense now." said Twilight.

"After the games, I would like you and your friends to figure out what that was and bring whoever caused it to me, alright" said Celestia.

"Sure thing." replied Twilight Sparkle.

It was now time for the torch to be lit, and Spike just couldn't calm himself down enough to light it. Soon Princess Cadence spoke up "What's wrong?"

"Equestria, we have another problem." said Twilight.

"Somepony go down and help him!" shouted Cadence.

Twilight had enough and used her magic to light the torch.

"Let the games... BEGIN!"

Twilight ended up telling Spike about the secret spell she cast, and Spike decided he needed some time alone.

Meanwhile it was time for the Arial Relay, which Cloudsdale won. Spike got himself into another pickle of singing the anthem that he didn't know. This time making a fool of himself. The end of the Arial Relay brought an opportunity for Twilight and the other five into the forest that she saw the red beam of light travel into. Spike didn't come because he was too upset about his epic embarrassment. As the six ponies went deeper and deeper into the forest, the night got ever so darker. Fluttershy was on the edge, always going "eep." and jumping. "Are we there yet" complained Rainbow Dash.

"We are getting close." Replied Twilight.

"You said that fifteen minutes ago."

"But this time we are almost there, a few mor..."

"What's that?" Applejack pointed to a dark shape in a small clearing.

The ponies emerged in a clearing where trees were bent from an impact. A large metal object lay in the center of it like a meteor. Fluttershy was now at a complete stop, cowering at the sight of the object. The other five walking closer to the object.

The object had three long spikes that ran parallel to the main body. "Is it some kind of iron bananna?" Applejack asked.

"Actually, it's called a spaceship." came a voice from behind a tree.

"EEP!" Fluttershy cowered even harder at this sound.

"Who said that? Show yourself, you coward!" said Rainbow Dash.

"Rainbow Dash!" yelled the other four.

A shape emerged from the trees, another unicorn, lavender skin like Twilight, and purple hair, with blue streaks.

"My name is Daisy Eseyad."
