She tossed and turned all night trying to catch some rest, but she just couldn't. Finally, she got up from the bed and started walking quietly around the room. She began looking for books to read. maybe that would tire her out. She pulled out a random book and began reading. Minutes passed and she put the book away. It wasn't helping. It was 2:05 a.m. on a Tuesday. Twilight crawled back up onto her bed and looked out the window. The dark purple sky stood there, very quiet. Tiny stars glimmered and flickered and the bright moon was halfway between the horizon and straight up. Twilight stared mindlessly at the stars and moon. She stared so long that by the time her eyes began to shut, the moon was inches from the horizon. Stars began swirling around the moon and Twilight floated above the castle. A snore startled her back awake. It was just a dream. The stars were untouched and only half of the moon was above the horizon now. That's when it happened. A very loud explosion sound startled everyone in Ponyville. Spike woke up and screamed "What was that, Twilight?" A yellow halo appeared in the sky and a string of yellow stretched from the center of the halo off into the horizon. By this time, ponies started coming out of houses to see what was going on. "Don't ask me, I'm just as confused as you are." Twilight responded. The string vanished and the halo of yellow got larger and fainter. Then it also disappeared. Twilight opened the window and flew off into the direction of the yellow trail. In the middle of the Everfree Forest, there was a large trail of destruction as if something crashed. Trees were snapped and toppled, and dirt was displaced. At the end of the trail was some type of metal toothpick. A rather large, inflated toothpick, if it could be described. Then a hissing sound and a section of the mysterious object opened up. Then a red light emerged from the hole that appeared in the object. Twilight appeared in the distance and landed on the trail of displaced dirt. She followed it to the carrot like object. "What in Equestria is that?" Twilight said in a confused, slightly scared tone. "It's called a spaceship, have you ever seen one before?" said a voice coming from the bright red light that was hovering a few meters above the carrot, inflated toothpick object. "What's a sp..." Twilight started, but was interrupted. "Hello Twilight Sparkle, my name is Daisy Eseyad." The spaceship was heading higher and higher above Earth. Faster and faster as it got farther from Earth. "Well this is the first time that I've tested my new Transdimensional Jump Drive." Daisy said as the earth grew smaller in the distance. The ship started to glow yellow as it sped up. Soon, the yellow engulfed the ship. The glow brightened and then the entire ship was moved into the Transdimensional Realm. Yellow balls of light connected by thin yellow strings. The ship began to go impossibly fast. Zipping from orb to orb faster than light speed. Finally the ship emerged above a planet. Leaving a bright yellow halo of light at the entry point and the ship zipped across the sky into a forest of some kind. A bright trail of yellow light was left as the ship finally hit the ground, snapping trees and displacing soil and rocks. The ship stopped and Daisy opened the door of the ship. A purple pony identical to a fictional cartoon landed on the trail of displaced soil. The pony walked closer and then stopped. "What in Equestria is that?" It said. Daisy began scanning it and its mind. Daisy collected information about this creature's name: Twilight Sparkle. Daisy saw all of her memories and then noticed something even stranger about Twilight Sparkle. She was able to manipulate a form of molecule that never existed on Earth. A fourth particle alongside protons, neutrons, and electrons. Daisy called it Particle 4 as a placeholder until she learns more about it. "It's called a spaceship, have you ever seen one before?" Daisy said. Twilight started to say something but Daisy interrupted. "Hello Twilight Sparkle, my name is Daisy Eseyad." Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and all the other ponies of Ponyville was standing outside of their houses. All of them were talking about the loud noise that woke up everypony. Minutes passed and soon everypony went back into their houses one by one. Twilight came flying back from the Everfree Forest. By this time, everypony was back inside and getting back into bed. The moon was now below the horizon, now it was really dark outside. Twilight went back into her castle and landed softly on her bed. "That was the strangest thing I ever saw." whispered Twilight. Once her head hit the pillow, she went into a deep dreamless sleep. She opened her eyes to see the sun shining in from her window. "8:00 already?" exclaimed Twilight, "I'm late!", she scrambled around trying to get her stuff ready. Combs and other items hovered as Twilight got ready for her important meeting with Princess Celestia. Twilight was now ready to go. Her hair combed, her eyelashes straightened, and a glittery dress that Rarity had prepared for her yesterday. "Spike wake up and clean up the place." Twilight hollered from across the room. Spike huffed as he headed to the room of cleaning supplies. Twilight flew out of the castle and headed over to Princess Celestia's Royal Palace. "Welcome my dear Twilight, unfortunately we have to postpone the real meeting. Last night at around 3:00 a very loud noise spooked the inhabitants of Ponyville. And I need you to go find out what caused it." Princess Celestia said. Twilight's eyes faded as she realized last night was not a dream. She really saw a talking red light. "And I need you to introduce a new pony to Ponyville, I feel you and her will be good friends. Her name is Daisy Eseyad and she's right over there." She pointed to a unicorn with a lavender colored coat, and a purple and blue mane. Her eyes were as pink as Pinkie Pie. "H... Hi there Daisy." Twilight said with a shaky voice. Twilight didn't know what to say, should she say anything at all? "Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" Daisy said. Twilight shook her head yes and both Twilight and Daisy walked off. "I still can't believe that the Grand Meeting has been postponed to tomorrow. Now I have to wait even longer to show off my awesome sonic rainboom that I've been practicing on. I can't wait that long" complained Rainbow Dash. "Oh, you'll be fine darling. It gives me more time to perfect these stunning dresses." said Rarity. "They do look awesome already. I think they are perfect the way they are." said Rainbow Dash. "Calm down sugar-cubes. I have a wagon of Granny Smith's famous apple pies here and now I have to figure out how to keep them from going stale through tonight." Applejack shouted across the room. "Hey is that Twilight?" asked Rarity. Twilight was walking down the road with another unicorn that also looked similar to twilight. "Who's that?" Rainbow Dash asked as she flew over and did some flips and loops in the air. "I would like to introduce you to Daisy Eseyad." said Twilight as she entered the barn. "Hello Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity" said Daisy. The three ponies stood there confused. "I told her your names already." said Twilight as she stared at Daisy. 'You are not supposed to read their minds, Daisy' Twilight thought real loudly. "Sorry." whispered Daisy. Twilight and Daisy slowly made their way around town introducing Daisy to everypony. The sun was now high in the sky and everypony was introduced to Daisy. Finally Twilight and Daisy were alone in the castle. "Tell me, who or what you are." said Twilight. "I am from a place that you can not reach under normal circumstances. A place void of magic. A place where friendship is diminishing." replied Daisy. "What are you? I saw you last night and you were a bright red light." said Twilight. "I am an entity composed of pure energy. I am able to connect with all matter and energy in a hundred foot radius. I can see everything inside and out within that radius. I can control matter and energy within that radius also. Now if you would keep this a secret, everypony wouldn't have to worry about me." said Daisy. Twilight just stood there trying to process what she was just told. "I have to tell Princess Celestia something about that loud noise last night." said Twilight. "Tell her that it was a rock that fell from space and broke the sound barrier." said Daisy. Twilight had told Princess Celestia and the whole situation was dropped. The sun was already starting to fall toward the horizon so everypony was wrapping things up and getting ready to settle down for the night. Twilight returned to her castle and Daisy went into the Everfree Forest. Daisy's first day was drawing to an end. Twilight walked around reading random books to see if any prophesies fortold of an appearance of Daisy Eseyad, but turned up no such results. Finally the sun disappeared and the moon rose up. Twilight hit the bed. //-------------------------------------------------------// %2% Rainbooms and Prophesies //-------------------------------------------------------// %2% Rainbooms and Prophesies ======One day since Daisy's arrival====== Twilight woke up to a bright shining sun. It was only 7:32, so she had some time to get ready for the meeting, again. "Let's try this again." Twilight said to herself as she got ready to go. "Wake up and get ready, i'm taking you with me this time, Spike" said Twilight. Spike got up from the bed and slowly got ready. Finally Twilight and Spike was ready to head off to the Grand Meeting. Everyone in Ponyville was at this Grand Meeting. There were rows of ponies sitting in front of a tall stage that Princess Celestia was standing on. Daisy, however, was hidden on the roof of a house looking at the stage from a distance. "Welcome, everypony, to the Grand Meeting. I sincerely apologize for the postponement. I worried too much about the loud explosion two nights ago. Now let's get started. First we have a grand feast." exclaimed Princess Celestia. Everypony got up from their seats and gravitated to the food stands that were set up. They all enjoyed the food which included Granny Smith's Apple Pies and a whole lot of cupcakes from Pinkie Pie's stand. Speaking of Pinkie Pie's stand, it was the most festive of the stands. And Pinkie Pie had a great time at this large party. As everypony got done eating all of the delightful food, and after everypony got worn out from partying, it was time for the show. Ponies got a chance to show everypony else a special talent. All of the talents were very unique and some of them were obviously bad, but hey, this is a fun party, and not a competition in any way. Then when everything seemed normal, one of the talents involved fire. That was a big mistake. Fire erupted around the stage, slowly turning it to ashes. Everypony started running like chickens with their... you know, random directions bumping into each other and stuff. Twilight had cast a cold spell onto the fire. It worked, but only half of the stage remained. After everypony got settled back down from the disaster, Princess Celestia got up on stage and said "We've witnessed a tragic accident this day, but so long as this stage stands, so long as nopony is injured, this celebration must resume." Daisy remained sitting on the roof looking at everything happen. She noticed the fire and watched all of the ponies try to scatter. But she also noticed Twilight reacting rather quickly. This made it so that Daisy really did not have to do anything. So daisy watched the next stage of the Grand Meeting. This stage involved the best fliers of Equestria do some awesome loops in the air. Finally, the moment had come for Rainbow Dash to perform what she called the 'Epic Sonic Rainblast'. Daisy watched as Rainbow Dash picked up speed, faster and faster as she got higher and higher. That's when Daisy got really confused, for that was the moment a beautiful ring of colors exploded from Rainbow Dash's location. Rainbow Dash was now going four times as fast as she was going prior to the rainboom. Daisy slowed down her perception of time and analyzed the disc of vibrant colors. The 4th element was responsible for this. She realized that everypony had some type of access to this element. The earth ponies had access to it such that they could pick up items close to their hooves. The pegasi used it to lighten themselves a weight that allows them to fly, and the unicorns could directly control it with their horns. There were two distinct interactions. Conscious and unconscious. Unconscious was the most powerful and was used by everypony to pick up things with their hooves and some can move their mane. And the other is conscious which is only used by unicorns, and is the least powerful but most interactive. One thing Daisy didn't understand was why normal ponies do not access conscious 'magic'. The unicorn horns helped amplify it, but with mental effort, all ponies should be able to do this. So Daisy examined the rainbow disc and noticed that there is a speed of magic. Once going faster than the speed of magic, the magic molecules (magions) amplified the will of the pony. This wouldn't work for earth ponies because they can not run that fast, but pegasi can easily brake the speed of magic with a little determination and effort, which Rainbow Dash apparently had a lot of. The show ended with Rainbow Dash drawing an outline of her name with her rainbow trail. Rainbow Dash slowed herself down to a landing and everypony started chanting "Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!" The sun was now at high noon. After the big breakfast, party and show, nopony ate any lunch. They were all at their houses relaxing from the very active day. The next few hours were uneventful. The sun was finally starting to set. Daisy was in the Everfree Forest creating an underground house that was hidden from the outside. Twilight was reading more books to try to find any mention of Daisy. Thats when Twilight found something. THE SAVIOR FROM BEYOND THE STARS On the thousandth day after the nightmare, shall come a heroic pony from elsewhere. She is wise and of immense power, and will save us from the black tower. She will bring all to a great height, to be transformed into a purple light. She will free you of the chains that bond, And transport you to the land beyond. Twilight Sparkle believed that this one passage fortold of the coming of Daisy. Twilight took the book and raced off to find Daisy in the Everfree forest. The sun began to set as Twilight searched the Everfree Forest for Daisy. Finally Twilight saw a faint light coming from inside a tree. It was a white outline that looked like a rectangle, maybe a door. The sun was below the horizon now. Twilight used her magic to open the handle-less door. Inside was a perfectly cut cylindrical shaft that went directly downward. This shaft was colored like steel. and an orb of white light was at the top. It was a light bulb. Twilight slowly descended the shaft and then hit the bottom. There was another door at the bottom. Twilight pushed it open to find a huge round room with white lights encircling the equator of the round room. Twilight emerged from the door and she was very far from the ground. It was clearly designed for pegasi only (and alicorns too). The whole room was like the inside of a huge sphere. A red light zipped around the room and then headed straight for Twilight. "I see you have found my hidden creation." Said Daisy. "I think I have found something in this book that told of your coming." spoke Twilight. "Sounds quite improbable." replied Daisy. Twilight opened the book to the page and said "Right here." "On the thousandth day after the nightmare, shall come a heroic pony from elsewhere. "Do you know the real reason for the party we had today? It is the thousandth day after Princess Luna's reformation. And I think that the 'after the nightmare' means after Nightmare Moon becoming Luna again. That points to today. And from what I have seen, you are a 'heroic pony from elsewhere' and I believe you are 'wise and of great power'." explained Twilight. "That is quite a convincing set of arguments. Let's assume somepony could predict the far future. How could he/she predict something that came from a completely different 'timeline' altogether" responded Daisy. "I don't know but this 'black tower' sounds serious if you are the only pony who can save us from it." said Twilight, "And I came here two nights ago, not last night, so it's off by a day." said Daisy, then her face went serious, "But my coming here postponed the meeting by a day, which means the prediction is not off by a day, why one thousand, that's too much of a coincidence." "That's right" said Twilight as she left the underground sphere. Twilight returned to her castle for the night. Pegasus ponies were doing pull ups and wing ups, Sweaty Belle, Scootaloo, and Applebloom were in their corner cheering and having a good time. Scootaloo even hovered off of the ground a little bit. Bulk Biceps was pumping iron, with Fluttershy standing on top of. You can imagine how funny that is. While Spike was restlessly keeping a dangerously piled stack of suitcases from toppling over. Who in their right mind would stack all the luggage like that? That's just asking for trouble. "Listen up gang, we're almost there, so I've got a few things to say." said Rainbow Dash in a confidently, excited tone. "First off, who here besides me thinks that this is the best Equestria Games Delegation in Ponyville history?" This really got the crowd riled up. Cheering and whooping filled the train for a few seconds. Rainbow Dash continued "and no matter what your sport is, we gotta give it our best, because we all have a genuine shot at Ponyville gold!" More cheering and whooping and "yeah"s came from the everypony. Even Spike, who previously was tired and dreary, was in on the cheering. "Wiiiiiiith the possible exception of Bulk Biceps, Fluttershy, and me." Rainbow continued in a quieter voice. "I mean, we're good and all, but we're up against the Wonderbolts and the Arial Relay, so gold's kind-of a stretch, let's not kid ourselves." "Don't feel bad Rainbow Dash, we have absolutely no shot at winning gold either." Scootaloo spoke up. "Uh... That's because you are carrying the flag for Ponyville in the opening ceremony. There are no winners." responded Rainbow Dash. "Winners or not, we still have a chance to be awesome." "THAT's the spirit." whooped Rainbow Dash as she flew up into the air. "You hear that everypony? Winners or not, we all still have the chance to be awesome!" More cheering filled the train cabin. "But uh... let's still try to win lots and lots of stuff too, 'kay?" With that, everypony else resumed their intense exercising as the train neared the Equestria Games. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The train slowed down as it had finally reached the Train Station. Fluttershy, Bulk Biceps, Rainbow Dash, Derpy Hooves, two stallions and two mares, were the first off of the train, followed by Spike carrying a heavy bag, along with the Cutie Mark Crusaders in the back. Spike heaved the final sack onto a metal cart. "It's all in there gang. Leave it to Spike, champion gear carrier for all yer gear carrying needs." "And the Ponyville flag? You sure? And what about the flagpone?" interrupted Applebloom. "In with the portable ramp." Spike said as he leaned against the cart, which rolled out of the way. Down he went, straight to the ground. "Give it a rest Applebloom!" snapped Scootaloo. "Awe, she's just nervous, that's all." said Spike as he got back up from his meeting with the concrete sidewalk. "Perfectly understandable. Whenever i'm afraid I'll forget something, I'll start to panic. I have a simple trick, I count to ten, and by the time i'm done, i've calmed myself enough to get the job done right every time. Easy-peasy cider squeezy." Out of nowhere Spike got whisked away by some stallions in armor. "HEY!" he screamed. "put me down!" "What's going on?!" yelled Scootaloo. The guards made their way across the road and deposited Spike face first onto the road right in front of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Cadence. "Spike, are you alright?!" Twilight said in a concerned tone. "A thousond pardons your great and honorable Spike the brave and glorious." said one of the guards. With this spike became more confused than ever. "Thanks for bringing spike to us." said Cadence as the guards turned around and walked off. "It's okay Spike, we'll have our hoof ponies go back for your bags." "Ugh, can they hang back a second and tell me what's going on first?" Spike asked confused. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the castle of the Crystal Empire spike was treated well for his earlier contributions during the invasion of Queen Chrysalis. He was now known as the Great and Honorable Spike the Brave and Glorious. Princess Cadence filled him in on the whole ordeal and showed him a brilliant statue of him holding the Crystal Heart. "This is why we all hope you do us the honor of lighting the torch at the opening ceremony. You'd be the very first dragon in the history of the Equestria Games to do so." "Of course I will do it, and b..." Spike began but then got interrupted by a very loud explosion sound. Spike, Twilight and Cadence looked in the direction of the sound to find a huge red ring of blinding light high up in the sky, and a line of red light extending from the center of the circle all the way to a forest in the distance. "Does this mean that the Equestria Games are cancelled?" asked spike. "No, silly" replied Twilight Sparkle "But now I will have to calm everypony down and let them know everything is fine and they can continue with their games, we are not going to let a rainboom stop one of the most important events of the year now are we?" "I thought only Rainbow Dash could cause a rainboom." said Spike. "Me too, we'll worry about finding this somepony later, right now, we have a game to start." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All the ponies in the bleachers of the Equestrian Games Stadium were cheering loudly, for they thought the rainboom was part of the introduction sequence. "Places for the procession everypony, two minutes!" said a guard pony. Twilight Sparkle arrived at the stage, where Cadence, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and other royalty sat. She looked around, bowed to Princess Celestia, and sat down on her throne. Spike made his way to the torch, slowly. "Now, please welcome the Delegation from Ponyville!" said the announcer guard. "Ponyville forever!" said Sweety Belle and Applebloom in unison. Scootaloo burst through on a motorized scooter. Rainbow Dash flew in next yelling "Awesome!", then Fluttershy saying "yay." and Bulk Biceps and Derpy. "I'd thought they'd be panicking." said Twilight to Princess Celestia. "Why would you think that? They believe the rainboom was part of the introduction sequence, they thought it was rather splendid the way they all cheered." replied Celestia. "Oh, makes sense now." said Twilight. "After the games, I would like you and your friends to figure out what that was and bring whoever caused it to me, alright" said Celestia. "Sure thing." replied Twilight Sparkle. It was now time for the torch to be lit, and Spike just couldn't calm himself down enough to light it. Soon Princess Cadence spoke up "What's wrong?" "Equestria, we have another problem." said Twilight. "Somepony go down and help him!" shouted Cadence. Twilight had enough and used her magic to light the torch. "Let the games... BEGIN!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Twilight ended up telling Spike about the secret spell she cast, and Spike decided he needed some time alone. Meanwhile it was time for the Arial Relay, which Cloudsdale won. Spike got himself into another pickle of singing the anthem that he didn't know. This time making a fool of himself. The end of the Arial Relay brought an opportunity for Twilight and the other five into the forest that she saw the red beam of light travel into. Spike didn't come because he was too upset about his epic embarrassment. As the six ponies went deeper and deeper into the forest, the night got ever so darker. Fluttershy was on the edge, always going "eep." and jumping. "Are we there yet" complained Rainbow Dash. "We are getting close." Replied Twilight. "You said that fifteen minutes ago." "But this time we are almost there, a few mor..." "What's that?" Applejack pointed to a dark shape in a small clearing. The ponies emerged in a clearing where trees were bent from an impact. A large metal object lay in the center of it like a meteor. Fluttershy was now at a complete stop, cowering at the sight of the object. The other five walking closer to the object. The object had three long spikes that ran parallel to the main body. "Is it some kind of iron bananna?" Applejack asked. "Actually, it's called a spaceship." came a voice from behind a tree. "EEP!" Fluttershy cowered even harder at this sound. "Who said that? Show yourself, you coward!" said Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash!" yelled the other four. A shape emerged from the trees, another unicorn, lavender skin like Twilight, and purple hair, with blue streaks. "My name is Daisy Eseyad."
