as fluttershy approached sweet apple acres, she saw the ponyville police department crowding all accesses to the barn. she saw big mac, galloping up to him.

"im glad ya came."

"i... i heard the news. big mac, i dont think i can take it, i..."

"i cant even bring myself to ask, but what happened to her?"

"there was an accident. one of those newfangled tractor machines. ya know how it is."

"oh celestia i..." fluttershy broke down in tears. after a while, she calmed down, still sniffing. "...im sorry, big mac. you shouldnt have to see this."

" 's fine. dya want to go inside?"

fluttershy breathed in, held it in, then sighed. "im ready."

they walked up to the sergeant.

"sorry, lady, no peepers."

"i... uh... alright, thats fine. ill just come back later and--"

"im sorry, officer. this here mare was my sisters lover." fluttershy blushed from hearing this. she knew everyone knew, but she still found it somewhat embarrassing to hear. "she needs to go in and see what happened to her."

"im warning you, miss, its pretty gory in there."

"i need to see her, officer. ill take my chances."
