Hey, every pony. Thanks for clicking on this. This is my first fic so be kind. I want to let you all know that my descriptions my not be clear enough but hopefully I can get some advice and improve it. Thanks and enjoy.
Chapter 1
It was an average day like any other.
Clouds became cotton candy, bushes became flying green things, and cute bunnies were turned into carnivorous monsters.
Well...we're talking about a normal day for Dismay(Discord's gender bend). She was strolling through the Everfree forest feeling bored, just zapping things with ease as she hummed.
"There's never any fun around here..."
Frowning, she thought of Dusk Shine, with his new duty as the prince of Friendship. Sure must be nice being a royal some pony who every pony adored. She never got the same admiration as he does now. Dismay scoffed. How could no pony like her awesome power of utter chaos? Chaos was what made life so fun! It adds spice to the dull, predictable lives of ponies. Yet no pony appreciated it. They just want to keep to the lame schedules they face everyday and repeat the next day and the next day and the next day...
The only pony who wasn't so darn boring was Rainbow Blitz. He flew everywhere, doing new things and whatnot. Thankfully, the whole of Equestria wasn't so freaking dull with him...
Dismay was getting near the outskirt of the Everfree forest.
"I'm pretty sure prince Solaris will be breathing down my neck about the state of this place. Don't care. It's not like any pony goes into this forest anyway..."
Dismay spotted Butterscotch's cottage not to far away. "Why isn't it my favorite of the bunch!"
She snapped her fingers and the flowers in Butterscotch's flowerbed began dancing.
"I'm pretty sure he'll love it."
Walking away, she didn't notice the pink swirling portal behind the chicken coop...

It was the next morning and Butterscotch yawned as he walked out into the cold morning air. "It's such a brisk morning..."
"Oh, Dismay. I should really invite her to a picnic sometime. It's been a while since we spent time together as good friends."
"No...no...nope..." He sighed. None of the letters were even for him. "That mail pony really needs to get corrective lenses or something..." He was referring to Dim Mane(the gender bend of Derpy Hooves).
Shaking his head, he turned toward the chicken coop. "Ok, little chickens, time to wake up..." He went over to the coop and poked his head in. Only, there were no chickens inside.
"Huh?"
Butterscotch looked left to right looking for the birds he had intended to be there.
"Oh dear..."
He practically flipped the coop upside down when he heard the clucking calls of his chickens outside the small house. The colt brought his head out of their home and smiled.
"Oh, good. I thought you all were eaten by those scary timberwolves..."
Butterscotch peeked around the coop and spied the chickens all gathered in a circle clucking and crying in wonderment. The Pegasus walked over to them.
"You really should stay in your little house. You almost scared me."
He stopped when he saw something pink and swirly. Now that he was closer he realized the birds were standing around the odd thing. "What is this..?"
Butterscotch moved his chickens away from it. "You really should stay away from peculiar things."
He stepped up to it. He had never seen anything so weird and strange before. Whatever it was, it definitely wasn't natural. The chickens clucked and waddled around their caretaker's feet. A small chick stumbled out from the rest of them. But the stallion was too busy staring at the funny thing to notice. The way it swirled around...it was hypnotizing.
The chickens became slightly frazzled by the chick's separation and urged it back to them. But the chick waddled toward the pink opening, ignoring the calls of its family. Butterscotch was frowning at the hole. What was it doing there? What could've caused it? Could it have been Dismay who made it? He quizzed himself with these questions as the chick grew closer to the hole. Maybe it's...art? Or an illusion? The chickens' screaming calls were completely unheard by their caretaker.
The chick was right at the edge of the swirly thing looking down at it. It glanced back at its family, who was angry with it, and then looked back at the pink thing. Seeming to make its mind up it jumped and let out a peep.
This small peep was enough to get Butterscotch out of his thoughts. "Hmm?"
Seeing the chick disappear in it, he gasped. "Oh no!"
Without thinking, he followed after it and instantly felt that it was the wrong thing to do. He felt himself being sucked into a blurry scene and stretched and pulled and yanked by invisible hands. He felt many sensations at once. He felt hot, and cold, and itchy, and icky. The chick was right there in front of him peeping away joyfully, much like Berry Bubble's contagious laughter. Butterscotch was scared and confused as colors flew by his face with blinding speed.
Being stuck in that thing felt like eternity but then only a second at the same time. Before he knew it he was being thrown face first into the ground. Butterscotch groaned. Slowly he sat up and blinked. Everything was spinning and he felt sick. Not sure what had happened he reviewed everything that happened that day.
"I woke up this morning, ate...Went out and checked the mail...Went to wake the chickens, didn't see them in the coop, but outside..."
The colt closed his eyes. "Swirly thing was on the ground, chick feel in, I went after..."
He opened his eyes and the breath was taken out of him. He wasn't at home anymore. He was in a strange place. There was a large building no too far away from where he sat. It looked a lot bigger than any building he had ever seen. Around the building were trees, homes, stores, and whatnot. The place itself wasn't off, it just felt weird.
"Maybe I'm in another town..? Phillydelphia, perhaps? No, maybe the neighboring town to Ponyville, Hoofington."
"Keep calm, Butterscotch...Just ask around for directions and everything will be fine..."
He attempted to stand up from his sitting position but fell off balance. Landing on his face again he scrambled to sit up. That was odd. He just had the sensation that his back legs were longer than his front...
Shaking his head, he tried again. Same result, only this time he got to his feet somewhat.
He tried again and again to stand up on all fours, but his legs were so weak, they acted like jelly and failed him.
Butterscotch frowned. "Now what is wrong with my ho--"
"What..." he whispered.
Butterscotch was stunned. His muzzle was almost not even there. Instead there was a short button...nose? And his ears. They were no longer on the top of his head but on the side of it and not as pointed and pony like as he remembered them to be. His mane was shorter and didn't run down his back, his torso was long, and his legs! Oh his legs! His front "legs" were shorter than his hind legs and were able to bend the other way than what they usually could. (Horses back legs bend forward, our legs bend backward). He had no wings at all.
There was a small peep from behind him and he turned. The small chick watched him cheerfully as he gulped. If that chick only knew what it had done to cause the world as he knew it to change...

Sunset Shimmer stared down at the paper in front of her.
An A+.
Applejack slapped her on the back. "Look at you! You got the highest grade in the class on that test!"
Sunset Shimmer grimaced. "Yeah, I guess I did." Applejack glanced at her.
"You alright, sugar cube?"
"Yeah..."
Applejack knew she was lying. There was no way to hide the truth from the element of Honesty.
"Sunset Shimmer, tell me what's bugging you."
The two girls were walking from class to meet the others at lunch. Sunset Shimmer looked down at the floor and sighed.
"I just know the class will really hate me now..."
The cowgirl was taken aback. "Now why in tarnation would you say that?"
The girl next to her frowned. "You know exactly why I'm saying this. You aren't very good at hiding the truth, because I see it in your eyes and I can see you know the reason why." Applejack raised her hands up in defeat.
"You've caught me."
She looked at her friend and then said," Just because you got the highest grade doesn't mean nothing. Sure, you weren't the kindest person anyone's ever met BEFORE you changed. I have known that in the past, you got nerds to do the work for you. But to see that you're doing well despite that is really good!"
"That's why they'll hate me even more!" Sunset Shimmer cried. " They'll hate me for using them when in the end I actually could do the work myself and get good grades!"
She groaned in irritation. "This school does not like to forget anything that happens here at CHS..."
Applejack coughed. "I don't think anybody would forget after what the old you did..."
Sunset Shimmer face-palmed. " Applejack, you're not helping!"
The country girl shrugged helplessly. "I'm not good with this kind of stuff."
Her friend shook her head as they entered the crowded lunchroom. "I'll just ask the others for advice..."

It literally took Butterscotch an hour and a half to learn how to walk. Seeing some other people walk by him he figured that standing and walking on his hind legs was the best way to go. He nervously clutched the chick in his hands and gulped. Facing the building, he gathered the little courage he had and wobble/walked to it. As he got closer he was able to read the small plaque on the brick wall.
"Canterlot High School..."
Butterscotch's eyes widened. A high school? In Canterlot?? This wasn't what he expected. How could he be in Canterlot? He was pretty sure every pony in that city was, well, a pony. If Dusk Shine came from there and he isn't a funny creature like how every pony else is, he was pretty sure there were ponies here. But Dusk Shine never mentioned any strange beings living in his native city. As far as he knew there were only ponies in this world! But everything he just saw was the opposite of what he knew. This was one of the new reasons why Butterscotch was afraid.
The second new reason about why he was scared was that this was a school. In school, there are lots of children. And from what he knows now, a school full of children that look STRANGE. He was not ready to be around all these quire beings. He could treat it like they're a new species of animal he discovered, but something told him that that wasn't going to work. This was by far the most scariest thing he had to go through.
Uneasily, he kicked the door weakly and not to mention, awkwardly. It swung open slightly and he wedged his foot in the space between the door and the frame. Sliding in not so smoothly he went into the school. The halls were empty to his relief, but just then, the bell rang. Almost immediately, the halls were swimming with the weird creatures that Butterscotch was hoping to avoid. He grew pale and put his chick snuggly in his pocket. It peeped some and nestled down with ease.
Butterscotch stared at all the strangers there. They all were different in their own way, just like ponies looked different. All of them seemed to have something that defined them, like a cutie mark. Then Butterscotch started to pay attention to their faces. They all looked familiar oddly enough...
A stranger with light and dark blue hair, white skin, and purple shades passed by him bopping their head to some music in their headphones. That looked like Vintage Record! Only(he assumed)it was a girl. She definitely didn't have broad shoulders or the height or build of the pony he knew.
" A female Vintage Record? Impossible..."
" No way...Red Gala?? She's a he??"
Butterscotch couldn't believe it. " Applejack's big sister...is a male??"
He watched many of the beings at the school pass by him in awe. To anyone, he looked like a lost student who must've been new. He spotted Picture Perfect(Photo Finish), Harpsy and Babar(Lyra and Bon-Bon), Tristan(Trixie), Dim Mane(Derpy Hooves), and Octavius(Octavia). Butterscotch was content to spot more of his ponyville friends but a crowd of students swept him up suddenly. He didn't know where he was going, but wherever it was, most of them were headed there, too.
The only clear indication of his destination was the distant smell of food.

Dusk Shine and the others were just minding their own business not in the least bit aware of the disappearance of one friend...
The girls eyed him as he squirmed uncomfortably. They were all in the practice room. It was after lunch and they all had a free period. Rarity was the first to speak.
"I just have to say, I LOVE your hair! It's absolutely stylish!"
Butterscotch had no idea what to say. Right before his eyes he was seeing the girl versions of all his friends, including himself. It was so strange. Applejack, Elusive, Berry Bubble, and Rainbow Blitz, and Sunrise Gleam...
SUNRISE GLEAM!!!!!!!!
Butterscotch went pale in the face. "S-S-S--"
"Huh..?" everyone but Pinkie Pie mumbled. She was tapping her chin.
"Hmm...Let's see."
Butterscotch continued to stutter.
" Sandwiches!" Pinkie yelled. The boy didn't respond.
" Shoes!" she cried. No response.
"Spaghetti!" No response again.
Before Pinkie could shout out another word, Applejack stopped her.
" Pinkie, this isn't charades! The boy's trying to say something."
That is if he spits it out she thought.
Butterscotch gulped. He had no idea any of this would happen and it didn't seem as though the girls made a connection that he was one of them only gender bent. The girls all waited for him to say what it was he was trying to say.
He looked down at his feet. " N-Nothing..."
Rarity exchanged looks with the others. "My, darling, no need to be shy. You must be new here. Fluttershy told us your name is Butterscotch. We'll introduce ourselves." She cleared her throat. " I'm Rarity."
Rainbow Dash pointed to herself. " It's Rainbow Dash, the one and only!"
Applejack rolled her eyes as she introduced herself. " The name's Applejack, sugar cube."
" I'm Pinkie Pie!!" the pink haired girl chirped. Sunset Shimmer took a step toward the boy.
"Hi, I'm Sunset Shimmer." She offered her hand for a hand shake.
Butterscotch backed away in fear. " S-Sunrise Gleam!" he squeaked. He covered his face. This shocked the other people there.
"Sunrise Gleam? I just told you my name was Sunset Shimmer. Why are you scared?"
Sunset Shimmer looked hurt. " Oh no, you must've heard the rumors..."
Butterscotch whimpered. " I know Dusk Shine told me you were good now, but I can't help but think about all the things he told me about you when he went to the other world. He said you helped them out when the Sirens were causing trouble, but I was never there to see you being a good some pony!"
This confused them all. Pinkie frowned. " Dusk Shine? I've never heard of him before and I know everyone here."
"Furthermore, what do you mean he went to the other world?" Rarity said. " And how is it that she helped this Dusk Shine defeat the Sirens when she was with us? And did you just say some pony?"
Butterscotch was quiet. "Umm..."
Everyone eyed him suspiciously. Pinkie Pie got up in his face and scratched her chin. " You know, you look awfully like Fluttershy. But you're a guy. You can't possibly be her brother because you would've been mentioned before and Fluttershy wouldn't have had to introduce herself. I mean, look at your pink, flow-y hair. If it were any longer it'd be just as fabulous as Fluttershy's hair. You have the same cobalt blue eyes that shine brightly when you're worried or scared. That pale yellow skin is about the same flawlessness of our dear friend. And your voice! I know you're a guy but it's as nice and sweet and gentle as the peeping of that there chick!"
Butterscotch had nothing to say. She was really good with words. " But there are definitely some differences," Pinkie observed. " For one, you're obviously a guy. Instead of the frail frame that Fluttershy has, you have a more muscular build. The muscles in your arms are not that strong but they are somewhat firm-looking...Your shoulders are broader, but not as broad as most dudes around here. You are taller by about two to three inches, making you average height..." Pinkie Pie stood back.
" And if you're anything like Fluttershy, characteristics that would be taken from a girl to a guy..." She clapped her hands. " Then you'd be an animal loving boy who cares nothing more than to take care of cute animals. You'd feed animals and cuddle them in your arms like they were the world to you! And if I'm not mistaken, you would be just as kind and gentle, too! Always there to help your friends out with a reassuring smile, always there to do what is right and for the best, even if you are scared. There to speak just a few sweet words that would turn a troubled person to happiness, saying them ever so softly with every bit of sincerity in your voice!"
The girls were all speechless. The slightest bit of blush came across Rainbow Dash. She coughed noisily. " Well! Knowing Pinkie Pie, that probably is true..."
Applejack tilted her hat down somewhat. " Y-Yeah, is it?"
Butterscotch stood in front of them blushing fiercely. " W-Well, I-I never thought about myself all like that." he whispered. He held the chick up close to his face and looked away in embarrassment.
" So darn cute," Applejack muttered. She attempted to hide the red on her cheeks.
Rarity smiled dreamily. " You sure do have a way with words, Pinkie. I say, it does make him more attractive!"
Fluttershy squeaked. " Rarity! Are you crushing on him?"
The fashionista looked down at her friend. " Oh I'm only pointing out the obvious. Butterscotch is very cute with his boyish charm and coy manner. And he's not at all bad to look at."
Sunset Shimmer shook her head violently. " Whoa, whoa! That's like you saying that to Fluttershy herself! I mean, he's practically her but in a more masculine version...Ugh! But that's still odd!"
It was apparent that everyone was thrown off into a babbling state from Pinkie's description. Even the chick felt shy and nervous. It peeped and hid its face in Butterscotch's palm.
"There, there. There's nothing to be shy of," its caretaker cooed. Butterscotch petted it with his finger.
This display of affection really didn't help in making the atmosphere more breathable.
Pinkie Pie carelessly hit the drums. " Come on, everyone! We might as well play since we're in here."
They all agreed and grabbed their instruments and a mike. Striking up a tune would definitely make the air more relaxed...

Elusive= Rarity's gender bend
Chapter 5
"Have any of you seen Butterscotch?"
These were the words that Elusive asked his friends as they went out to eat at an expensive restaurant.
Applejack frowned. " I haven't, no."
Berry Bubble shook his head. " He told me yesterday he'd come with us to eat. He never bails on us." This was a point taken by Dusk Shine.
" This is very true."
Rainbow Blitz frowned. "Well wherever he is, he needs to hurry up. We're splitting the cost of this meal and I'm hungry. I don't want to pay more than I agreed to."
"Cheap skate..." Applejack murmured.
Rainbow Blitz scoffed. "What? It's not like you want to pay more either."
The five of them were already halfway to the restaurant. "Why don't we just wait a little when we get there?" Elusive suggested.
Berry nodded. " Sounds good to me! He shouldn't be more than a few minutes late when we get there if anything slowed him down."
Dusk, on the other hand, frowned.
" I don't know. Something tells me something isn't right. We should go check on him."
" Don't you worry your head, haystack. I'm sure Butterscotch will make it here," Applejack reassured.
Dusk glanced at him. " You sure? I just have a feeling."
"Don't sweat it! You worry too much," Rainbow Blitz groaned. " He just better get here before I starve to death." Seeing his friends were sure all was alright. Dusk Shine sighed.
" Alright. Lets keep on our way to the restaurant."

The band began to play and Butterscotch smiled. He loved the upbeat music. He listened to them play one song and he clapped.
" That was very good! I never heard a girl band before. I usually only ever hear my friends sing."
" Your friends are in a band?" Rarity asked. Butterscotch shook his head.
" No. Actually, where I'm from, everypony just bursts into song out of no where."(cough, cough, just like the show)
" Burst out in song? Well I'll be!" Applejack laughed.
" There you are with that 'pony' word. How come you keep on saying that?" Rarity quizzed.
Butterscotch gulped. Should he tell them? They are his friends...as girls. But then again, this is another world from what he knows. They might think he's crazy. But one of them mentioned fighting the Sirens. If they fought the Sirens, then they went up against Sunrise, er, Sunset Shimmer before them. Which means they had powers.
But where is Dusk Shine's female self? But wait. Dusk Shine, in his world travelled here...
So that means they DO know about ponies! Their missing friend has got to be Dusk Shine's other self. But if she's a pony, then that also means there's ANOTHER world full of PONIES THAT ARE THEM BUT THE OPPOSITE GENDER!!!!!!!
Butterscotch was too deep in his thoughts to notice Rainbow Dash right in front of him calling his name. " Hey, Butterscotch!"
He jumped when he heard her yell in his ear.
" Rainbow Blitz!" he squeaked from being startled. The girl in front of him squinted her eyes.
" Rainbow Blitz..?"
Butterscotch immediately stuttered upon realizing his mistake. " I-I mean, Rainbow Dash. Sorry..."
The girl glanced back at her friends, who were just as baffled as she was. " You know, you've been acting pretty odd. Is this how you are around people? Not to mention you and the 'pony' stuff..."
Rainbow Dash leaned closer. " Say...do you know a girl named Twilight Sparkle?"
Butterscotch blinked. " No, I don't."
" Oh. Just wondering..."
The boy tilted his head. Funny she should ask if he knew another girl when she was interrogating him about something entirely different.
Unless...
" Is this Twilight Sparkle a purple girl with very dark blue hair..?" he asked.
Applejack's eyes widened as she glanced around at the others, who did the same. Butterscotch sighed with relief. So this girl she mentioned must be Dusk Shine's other self. No wonder she asked. Dusk Shine came from a pony world and it would make absolute sense that she asked him about this Twilight Sparkle if she WAS his other self. I mean, who goes from interrogating someone about ponies to asking about a girl? Then that means that these girls were already making connections that Butterscotch himself was a pony.
" Yeah. And she's real smart," Applejack said.
" Yes," he replied. If Dusk Shine is smart, his gender bend should be, too.
" And she has a dog named Spike," Fluttershy added.
A dog named Spike? Dusk Shine's dragon assistant is named Spines. Well, it is a gender bent world he's in.
" Yes."
The girls paused for a moment. Fluttershy raised her tambourine to hid her flushed face.
" This may be a very odd question but..." She took a deep breath.
" Is she a pony princess who came from another world?"
Bingo! Twilight Sparkle is indeed Dusk Shine's other self!
Butterscotch smiled at her. " Why yes."
The girls' eyes widened with excitement. " So you're from her world!"
" So you're a pony!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
" I'm a Pegasus in my world," he told her.
Sunset Shimmer grinned. " Do you know her personally? Did she send you here?"
Butterscotch scratched his head sheepishly. "Actually..."
The girls waited for him to say whatever it was he had to say.
" Actually, I'm not from her world," he said. " I'm from a different world and came here on accident. I was going to wake up my chickens this morning when I saw this strange swirly thing behind the coop. This here chick fell in and I went after it. That's how I got here."
Pinkie Pie tilted her head. " How do you know Twilight then? Did she visit your world?"
This was the part Butterscotch knew was going to be odd.
" Um, no. I only guessed who she was. The truth is, I don't know her at all. This will sound strange but..."
It was his turn to take a deep breath. " The world I'm from everypony is the same but the exact opposite gender from the world that Twilight lives in...I think..."
They blinked.
Exact opposite gender??
" W-What do you mean?" Applejack asked.
" I mean that all of you, as ponies, exist in my world. Only you all are guys," Butterscotch told her.
All of them stared at him. " We're guys?!" Pinkie squeaked.
He nodded. " Rainbow Dash, when I called you Rainbow Blitz, I accidently called you by your guy version's name. And Sunset Shimmer, Sunset Glare is your male version. And Dusk Shine...is Twilight Sparkle."
They all were speechless. No way...
Rarity asked Butterscotch a question. " S-So...Who am I in your world?"
" You're Elusive."
" Elusive..." she whispered with wonder. " Tell me. Am I attractive? Am I the best clothes designer?"
Butterscotch blushed. " You are a very wonderful clothes designer. I would say you're... attractive." He was not used to calling other guys attractive.
Applejack spoke up. " And me? Who am I?"
Butterscotch had to smile. " You're Applejack. Your name's the same in both worlds. You're the strongest, most hard working pony I know."
She smiled.
Rainbow Dash smirked and said. " So is this Rainbow Blitz the coolest guy ever?"
He nodded. " You're the fastest flyer in all of Equestria."
"Oh! Oh! What about me?!" Pinkie Pie asked.
" You're Berry Bubble. He loves to throw parties all the time and is very hyper," Butterscotch explained.
" Yay!" she squealed. She shoved Fluttershy up close to him.
" Now tell us who she is!"
Butterscotch looked at the girl who was only a few inches away since Pinkie shoved her. He blushed.
" Oh, well, um...Fluttershy's...her version...uh..." He gulped and looked down.
" I'm her."

Twilight grabbed her magical friendship journal. It was glowing and shaking like crazy.
" Jeez, I'm reading, I'm reading!"
She cracked it open and burrowed her muzzle into it.
" Mmm hmm...Mmm hmm..."
Her eyes widened while she read. She kept on reading it until the message was done.
" What? This can't be!"
Twilight scratched her head and read the message from Sunset Shimmer over again.
" A world of gender bent ponies? Fluttershy's gender bend is a guy named Butterscotch?"
She blinked. " There's Dusk Shine, Elusive, Berry Bubble..." She snapped the book shut. " I've got to tell the girls!"

" What? No way!" were the words Rainbow Dash spoke fifteen minutes later. " Gimme that!"
She snatched the book and read it for herself. " A guy version of me? Get out of here!"
Applejack snagged the journal and read it as well.
" Hey! Give that back!" Rainbow growled.
" Hold on a quick second..." the country pony muttered. Applejack's eyes widened. " Oh ho!"
Rainbow Dash grabbed it back. " What did you read? You spoiler..."
Before she could read a single word, a pink haze enveloped the book.
" What the hay?!"
The book was taken from her and went to Rarity.
" Quite hogging, you two. No pony can read it if you're playing 'Keep Away' with it."
She squinted as her eyes scanned the page. " Oh, what's this..?"
Her face lit up. " Oh, I do say!" Her cheeks turned a slight red. " My!"
Applejack and Rainbow Dash lunged at her.
" Let us read!"
Rarity quickly used her magic to move the book away. " Ugh! Wait your turn!"
" Look who's playing Keep Away!" Applejack cried as she tried to get the journal. Rarity was too busy trying to keep the journal away from Applejack and Rainbow Dash that she didn't notice a certain pink pony sneaking up behind her. Right when the journal was above her Pinkie swiped it.
" I got it!"
" Hey!" all three of the other ponies yelled and jumped at her.
In the meantime Fluttershy was just watching her friends, weakly trying to get them to stop with unheard whispers. Twilight just giggled.
" Ok, girls. Stop your fighting."
She took the book away with her magic and the others grumbled sourly as they came trudging over. For some reason, the friends never fight with Twilight at all but think it's ok to fight amongst the others (cough)."
" Here, let me read it aloud so ALL of you can be able to know what Sunset Shimmer wrote." She cleared her throat.
Dear Princess Twilight,
Today we just met another pony! It was really strange. We met him while in the lunchroom. He says he's from a pony world but not your pony world. His name's Butterscotch. The Pegasus just told us something really amazing. He claims that the world he's from, all the ponies there exist where you are, but as the opposite gender! Get this: all of you have guy versions! Rarity raised a hoof up to her forehead dramatically.
" Oh, I had no idea my other self would be so grand! I am dying to meet him!"
Applejack narrowed her eyes somewhat.
" Rarity, you crushing on yourself?"
They were all quiet as they stared at the unicorn.
" Ok, I already knew you were obsessed with looking like a diva, but this is just plain weird," Rainbow Dash muttered.
" Anyway," Twilight said and cleared her throat. " Sunset Shimmer said she'd keep us posted. I can't wait to here more!"
The girls agreed.
Pinkie Pie yawned loudly. It was already getting late. " I'd love to stay up and chat, but I'm getting tired."
" Yeah, what Pinkie said," Fluttershy whispered.
Twilight nodded and yawned herself. " Well, I'll let you all know if there's anything else she writes back. Good night."

It was afterschool and the Equestria girls along with Butterscotch made their way toward Applejack's farmhouse. In this world, Applejack and her family maintain the city garden and own a local chain grocery store called Granny Smith's. Applejack invited everyone over as well as Butterscotch since he didn't have a place to go.
When they got to the house Applejack opened the door and yelled," I'm home!"
Applejack's little sister Applebloom and Big Macintosh came to the door. The girls and Butterscotch had been walking around the city, showing the Pegasus their world and so Big Macintosh was there before them.
Applebloom looked up at the boy and gasped.
Big Macintosh glanced at Applejack suspiciously. " So who's the boy?"
" OOH, Applejack's got a boyfriend!" Applebloom squealed and ran in to tell her grandma. " Granny Smith! Granny Smith!"
Applejack blushed red in both fury and embarrassment. " Why you! Applebloom!"
She ran after the shrieking girl and left her friends in the doorway of the house. They all looked back at Butterscotch, who sputtered," Red Gala and Applebuck sure are the same way I know them..."
" Is that their versions?" Sunset Shimmer asked.
He nodded. " Only, Applebuck isn't as shrieky as this version."
Big Mac waved them inside. They all entered and could hear Applejack, her sister, and the grandma talking loudly from somewhere in the house.
" Applejack has a boyfriend!" This was Applebloom.
" A toy bin? Why does she have a toy bin? I thought you were too old for toys!" Granny Smith said. She was a little deaf.
" No, granny, don't listen to her!" Applejack said.
" She's got a boyfriend!!!" Applebloom cried.
There was a delay in the grandma's response. "...A dolphin? What, did you promise Fluttershy you'd take care of it? The last time you said you'd care for a critter the poor thing ran away. I dunno why she'd trust you after that. I mean, last I heard she was pretty upset."
" No! Ignore what she's saying, granny!" Applejack urged.
The girls all were quiet as they listened to this odd conversation unfold. Big Mac acted like nothing was happening.
" So, are you her boyfriend?" he asked Butterscotch.
" N-No! You got it all wrong! We just met today," he said.
Big Macintosh tilted his head. " Just met today? That's pretty fast for her to just invite you over on the first day y'all met. You sure there isn't a special connection between you two?"
Butterscotch looked to the others for help.
Rarity tapped her chin. " Uh, he's...um, Fluttershy's twin brother!"
The cowboy looked him over and glanced at Fluttershy.
" Oh, well why didn't you say so?"
He went away and Butterscotch sighed with relief. " Thanks, Rarity."
She nodded.
Big Mac turned his head back to look at them. " Well, I hope you two don't mind sharing a bed. We'll be tight for space so it shouldn't be a problem, with y'all being twins and all."
Everyone immediately looked to the two of them, they're faces were flushed.
Rarity smiled sheepishly. " Oops...sorry..."

Everyone sat down at the dinner table and made cheery conversation. Applebloom kept trying to get Applejack to say that Butterscotch was in fact her boyfriend when he really wasn't. Rarity was babbling about the new fashion line she was thinking of for the next big school event.
" Ponies are definitely in style these days. People are still ordering the head bands from the Fall Formal campaign almost a full four months ago..."
Rarity turned to her friends.
" Can you believe it was almost four months ago since we first met Twilight?"
They all shook their heads.
" Time goes by so fast," Pinkie Pie said as she stuffed some pie in her face.
" Where is this Twilight of yours, anyway? Last time you told me she transferred to another school. Then, just a month ago, you said she came back. Now, you're all making it out to be she's not there anymore. Is she some delinquent? Cause the vibe I'm getting is that she's a bad girl who skips school," Granny Smith said.
Rainbow Dash grinned as she tried to hold back a laugh. " No, grandma. She's just a friend who came by to visit last time."
" Yes, she lives in the next city," Sunset Shimmer told her.
Big Macintosh chewed the broccoli in his mouth slowly. " Speaking of next city, is that where this fellow lives?"
He gestured to Butterscotch. The girls all glanced around at each other.
" Uhh, yeah," Applejack lied. " Sure...heh, is from the, um, other city..."
Hearing Applejack lie for the first time hurt Rainbow Dash's ears. She wasn't at all very good. I mean, why would the Element of Honesty be good at lying?
" Butterscotch has been living with some relatives in the next city. His school is on spring break and he came to visit his twin sister here," Rainbow Dash said and she nudged Fluttershy with her elbow. The girl took it as her cue to nod in agreement.
" Well, it's real funny you never mentioned having a brother," Applebloom said to Fluttershy.
The girl swallowed and smiled innocently. " I am usually never asked about family so its never been mentioned."
" You're family is pretty odd then. Even if no one asked me about my family I would've listed all my relatives!" Granny Smith told her.
Rarity yawned.
" Well! That was a wonderful dinner if I do say so myself! It's time I go to bed. School is tomorrow."
She got up and left the table.
" You're sleeping in AJ's room!" Granny Smith called.
She turned to all the other girls.
" I'd love to have you girls up all night to talk to, but your friend is right. Lets clean up the table."
They did so and quietly. They were all feeling droopy eyed anyway.
" Pinkie and Rainbow Dash, you two will be sleeping in the same room as AJ and your other friend," Granny Smith told them. " You twins will be sleeping in Big Macintosh's room. There'll be too little space in AJ's room for one more person and we can't have a boy in there!"
Butterscotch and Fluttershy blushed.
They all got ready for bed and said good night to each other. Butterscotch borrowed an old shirt from Big Mac and some jogging pants to wear as pajamas. The two of them looked at the bed. It wasn't very big surprisingly. Big Mac was going to sleep downstairs on the couch. Fluttershy got under the covers and made herself as comfortable as she could. Butterscotch gulped and awkwardly went in the bed beside her. They lay awake deafly aware of the other person for a long time. That night was the most awkward night they had ever went through. And almost no sleep was gained from it...

Dusk Shine and the others were outside Butterscotch's cottage facing Dismay. It was already dark out and the boys were even hungrier. Missing lunch and dinner heightened their fatigue and they frowned half-lidded at the spirit of chaos.
" I didn't do a thing to Butterscotch!" Dismay said, her voice full of hurt and denial.
" Right. And we're supposed to believe you how?" AJ asked.
Dismay crossed her arms. " Because I'm your friend! And friends trust each other to tell the truth!"
Berry belly flopped on the ground and yawned loudly. " Yeah, yeah. You're Butterscotch's friend, not ours. And anyway, if the Element of Honesty can tell you're not telling the truth, then why should we listen to you?"
" Because I didn't do anything to him! He's the last pony I'd ever harm," she said.
Dusk Shine rolled his sore, sleep deprived eyes. " Funny, because your print is all over this!"
The colt pointed toward the dancing flowers that Dismay had enchanted earlier the other day.
She gulped. There really was no way to get out of this one, even if she was innocent.
Dismay sighed dramatically and frowned. " It's true, I came over here and enchanted those flowers. But enchant them is all I did! It was supposed to be a nice thing for Butterscotch to see as a sign of our friendship. I sure hope he saw it..."
" You're stalling!" Elusive called.
" Y-Yeah. Only those who are lying would (yawn) stall!" Rainbow Blitz said. He walked over to the chicken coop.
" See this? The chickens are everywhere and haven't been fed!"
The Pegasus went to grab a wondering chicken that went behind the coop as proof of what he was saying. But instead of seeing him come back with the chicken they heard a loud "WHOA!!!!!!"
Immediately his friends shook off their sleepy mood and rushed to where their friend was. But the thing they found was a swirling pink thing and the chicken Rainbow Blitz had attempted to grab.
" What in all of Equestria is this..?" AJ muttered.
" This is..." Dusk Shine murmured.
He looked back at Dismay accusingly.
" It's a portal!"
The spirit of chaos gulped.
" I hadn't realized I opened a portal...eh heh..."
Author's Note
Only a few more chapters to go before Book 1 is complete and I can go back to writing "Happenings in Dimensions: Book 2". Mind you, in Book 2, Butterscotch and his friends aren't in it. They'll be put back into the story by Book 3. But that doesn't mean don't read it, no! Please do or you'll not understand what's going on. Book 2 is bound to be better and greater than this one, I assure you!
The portal to the other world: Book1
Twilight giggled as she read the events that were happening in the latest update in her friendship journal. It was more of a Gabby Gums gossip magazine than anything at the moment. Sunset Shimmer really described all the events with great detail.
" This is really like a fanfiction!" she said. " Maybe I should try my hoof at that..."
Twilight kept reading until there was no more to read. She sighed. Without this story Sunset Shimmer wrote to her, there was nothing else to read. She read all the books in her library.
It was early the next morning when she saw the journal buzzing.
" It's too early to tell the girls," she decided. " I'll tell them later."
In the meantime, she wondered what kind of fanfiction she should start now that she got the idea...

Rainbow Blitz woke to see he was outside in front of a big building. It was very early in the morning and he was very sore.
" How did I get out here..?"
Before he could sit up something big and heavy crashed into him.
" Argh!!!"
Rainbow Blitz turned around and saw a strange creature with stylish purple hair, a white polo shirt, and neat purple slacks on top of him. He screamed.
" Oh Prince Solaris!!!"
The Pegasus attempted to run away but fell face first on the ground. Looking down, he saw that he didn't have hooves, but funny star shaped things at the end of his fore legs.
" What the hay?!?!"
The odd creature he had attempted to run from was banging on the side of the horse statue in fright.
" Dusk, let me out! This place is creeping me out! Please, let me come back!!!"
Rainbow Blitz paused. This 'animal' had just said Dusk. And didn't he know that voice? It sounded just like Elusive, with his flow-y snooty talk. And its hair was definitely as glamorous as his friends...
"...Elusive?"
The creature froze before looking back at him. It squinted and was silent for a while before gasping.
" Rainbow Blitz?"
The Pegasus nodded.
The side of the statue that Elusive was banging on went all wavy and hazy.
" Elusive, did you find Rainbow Blitz?" It was Dusk Shine's voice coming from it.
" Yes! I found him! He's right here!" Elusive cried.
The two waited for Dusk to reply but instead was bum-rushed by Berry Bubble, AJ, and Dusk Shine all spilling out of the weird, wavy statue. They lay there in a daze for a little before any of them looked up.
" Whoa!" Berry gasped.
He was staring at his hand and his buddies.
" We look SO different!!!"
Dusk Shine spoke up after shoving AJ off of him.
" Guys, this is a portal to the other world I was telling you all about! The world where I defeated Sunrise Gleam and the Sirens!"
Rainbow Blitz glanced back at the wavy spot on the horse statue.
" You mean, that swirly pink thing I fell in was a portal to here?"
" Yeah," he told him.
Dusk frowned. " Sorry we didn't come any earlier. We had to tell Prince Solaris about this. Dismay is in a lot of trouble."
The hardcore daredevil blinked. " Didn't come here sooner?"
" Yup. You fell in last night. We're just now coming here the next morning. Dismay decided to run off and we had to chase her all night," Applejack replied.
Rainbow Blitz shrugged. " Didn't even notice. I was asleep."
Dusk Shine stood up and brushed his pants off. " Anyway, we have to find Butterscotch. He's bound to be around here somewhere."
He paused. " He could've already met our human selves by now...And the last time I was here, we went to Berry's place..."
His friends struggled to stand up while he thought out loud.
" But, it's early morning and we shouldn't just walk into someone's house. Especially, if there'll be TWO of everyone..."
Applejack got to his feet at long last but was pulled down by Elusive, who was trying to use him as a stable thing to help himself up. Applejack glared at him and shoved him into Berry, who chuckled and pushed him into Rainbow Blitz, who then kicked him away. Elusive gasped in shock and from butt pain and cat slapped the guy. From there, they all got involved in a petty fight.
But Dusk wasn't paying any attention.
Fifteen minutes later, Dusk grinned and said," I GOT IT!!!!!"
His friends immediately stopped fighting.
" Yeah, partner?" AJ said.
" Where are we going? You know where Butterscotch is?" Berry Bubble asked.
" What?" Rainbow Blitz wondered.
Dusk Shine turned to them and said," We're going to wait here until school starts!"
They groaned. That would be hours away. So Dusk had absolutely no idea what to do and they had to wait there while hunger ate at them, sleepiness bugged them, and the brisk air made them shiver.
Great.
Just great.

Butterscotch and Fluttershy trudged out of the room the next morning as they got ready for school. It wasn't a good night for either one of them. No one seemed to notice as they hurried around.
" I slept through my alarm!" Applejack yelled as she grabbed her books.
In fact, they all had. They were all so tired from the other night they fell into a deep sleep. Rarity rushed to the bathroom to take care of her hair.
" Rarity, there's no time for that!" Rainbow Dash growled and snatched the comb out of her hand.
" I was using that!" the fashion diva cried.
Butterscotch yawned and stood by the door waiting for the girls. Fluttershy sluggishly checked the time.
" We're only 15 minutes late..."
Pinkie Pie shoved her stuff in her backpack.
" Don't you remember? We have a big test in Algebra! And it's today, right now!!!"
Fluttershy wasn't at all fazed. She was too tired to be. As the girls scrambled out Rarity brushed her sleepy friend's hair to its usual shine. They all practically dragged Fluttershy and Butterscotch along. In a short five minutes they got to the school and burst into the Algebra class. The students jumped at this sudden intrusion. The teacher glared at them.
" Why are all of you late?!"
Sunset Shimmer smiled sheepishly. " We all were having a sleepover and we overslept..."
The teacher wasn't convinced. " Oh, a sleepover. You sure it wasn't that you were trying to skip class and got caught, perhaps?"
" N-No! Not at all, sir," Rarity said. " It really is what we're saying, right, Rainbow?"
The girl nodded. Rainbow Dash turned to Pinkie Pie. " Right?"
Pinkie nodded. " Right, Fluttershy?"
She turned only to see her friend and Butterscotch leaning against the door frame sound asleep.

Dusk Shine and his friends all wondered the school in complete silence.
The place Dusk Shine thought he knew was not at all what he thought. Everyone there he and the others recognized...but they were the opposite gender.
" Dusk, are you sure this is the place? You never mentioned that the pony-ish peeps would be the opposite gender," AJ said.
Dusk was too overwhelmed with everything going on.
" This can't be...We must be dreaming!"
Berry Bubble shook his head.
" Nope. Because we were asleep earlier. Then that's when you woke up, saw the position of the sun in the sky, calculated that it was past the time school started, and had us all rush in here to find Butterscotch."
" This is just ridiculous. Why are we roaming the halls when they're empty? Why don't we ask around?" Elusive suggested.
Rainbow Blitz stuck his face in the window of a classroom door.
" Smms lergh ar greed ideer."
"What?" Dusk asked. The blue boy had his face smashed in the window as he scanned the classroom.
" He said 'Sounds like a great idea'!" Berry told him.
The prince nodded. Applejack yanked Rainbow Blitz away from the window.
" You trying to get us in trouble? Why don't we ask instead of mashing our faces in windows?"
The boy frowned and slapped the cowboy's hand away.
" Yeah, yeah..."
The Main Six walked around the halls asking about Butterscotch and for a while, was not having much luck. For a good half hour they didn't find their friend at all.
" See? My idea wasn't a bad one!" Rainbow Blitz grumbled after a while.
Applejack rolled his eyes and continued walking. Suddenly, they heard a door slam and a yelling teacher.
" You all are to go to Study Hall and stay there! Everyone of you has a detention!!"
The boys zipped around the corner to see who it was. They froze at the sight of them.
" Great! Now we can't take the test!" a girl with rainbow colored hair cried.
Another girl with gorgeous purple hair scoffed. " He almost ruined my amazing hair!"
" THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!!!" a pink girl screamed.
" What are you screaming at me for? It's not my fault that we were late! It's Applejack's fault!" the purple haired girl argued.
A cowgirl wearing a hat whipped around with anger.
" My fault?! We wouldn't nearly be this late if some one wasn't trying to be a fashionista and waste almost 30 minutes in the bathroom grooming herself!!"
" She's right, Rarity! If you weren't so obsessed with yourself we would've probably gotten here before the old grouch could realize we were late!" the blue one chimed.
A person with flaming hair jumped in the argument. " Stop arguing! This isn't going to help!"
" Yeah, sure! Says the girl who turned into a demon at the Fall Formal and tried to turn everyone into your personal army and invade Equestria!!" Pinkie yelled.
" Oh you just didn't! OH NO YOU DIDN'T!!!!!!!!" Sunset Shimmer flared.
She put her fists up and got ready to fight.
" You asked for it, Pinkamena Diane Pie! YOU ASKED FOR IT!!!!!!!!"
Sunset Shimmer was getting ready to swing when Applejack and Rainbow Dash held her back.
" Let me go! That immature cupcake-making girl has just pulled the last straw!"
Rarity decided to not make things any better.
" You know what else is a factor in getting us here late? Fluttershy! She sleeps like a TREE!! We had to drag her the whole way! Her and her pony clone, Butterscotch!!!"
At this the boys snapped out of their trance. Butterscotch! They ran towards them.
" Oh don't you try to put others into the fire, Rarity!" Applejack growled. " You know you put them both in an awkward position last night! I bet they didn't even get a lick of sleep! And that's as much your fault as your obsession problem!"
" This is ALL your fault! Everything is leaning towards you!!" Rainbow Dash added.
Dusk Shine couldn't believe what he was seeing. Those girls looked like them, but in so many ways they weren't. He had never known he and his friends to fight so brutally like this before.
" STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Everyone froze and Butterscotch and Fluttershy woke up with a start. They were slumped against the wall. They turned to see who it was and were wide eyed. Applejack and Rainbow Dash let go of Sunset Shimmer, who put her fists down.
" Y-You're..." they whispered.
And just like that they all came from fighting to feeling ashamed. Their other selves had saw them fighting, and saw them fighting the worst fight they had ever had. The girls were all knobby kneed and full of regret. Especially Sunset Shimmer. She knew that the boys knew who she represented in the other dimension and she definitely set a bad taste in their mouths about her other self.
" G-Guys!" Butterscotch cried with glee. He had no idea what had happened while he was asleep.
"...Butterscotch," Dusk Shine mumbled as he stared at the girls.
Fluttershy yawned and sniffed. She sneezed. Cautiously, Rainbow Dash knelt down beside her friend and checked her forehead.
" She's got a fever..."
They all swallowed. Butterscotch went back to Fluttershy and helped her to her feet.
" You all should take her to the nurse."
They nodded slowly and walked her down the hall, glad to escape the eyes of their other selves.

Very grim ending, I should say. But it's like that for a reason. The third book story plot is going to be the BEST of this whole series. It's to add more flavor for that one. But don't get a sour taste in your mouth. The second book, everyone is fine and friends again. Make sure you read the epilogue.
The portal to the other world: Book1
The Equestria Girls all stood around in Fluttershy's living room. Three days has gone by and her fever became much worse. Sunset Shimmer quietly wrote to Twilight in the unbearable silence.
Dear Princess Twilight,
All of us had a fight three days ago and no one is stepping up to break the barrier around each other. Everyone fought except Fluttershy and Butterscotch. They were asleep when it happened. It all started because we were kicked out of our Algebra class and couldn't take the test our teacher had for us. We had came to school late after the sleepover at Applejack's. People started playing the blame game and I won't say who said what. But then it really got out of hand when someone mentioned my past. I was so enraged and I stopped thinking at that point. I was about to throw my fist at her, like I would have if I were my old self, but the others stopped me.
What really stopped us from fighting fighting was that these boys came up and made us feel shameful...
They all heard Fluttershy coughing. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash moved toward the stairs at the same time. Rainbow Dash glared her and Pinkie Pie glared harder. The blue girl sniffed and stepped back to let the other girl go upstairs to check on Fluttershy. Sunset Shimmer bot her lip. Their bitterness toward each other was harsh.
She didn't want to say who the boys were that stopped them in the hall. It would only cause un-necessary tension between her and Twilight.
She sighed.
Could you help us?
Sunset Shimmer
Sunset Shimmer was about to close it when the journal shimmered and shinned. Desperately, she looked at the words forming on the page.
All you have to do is say sorry.
The girl gulped. This was the simplest thing. But it felt so hard to do. But Twilight said it was to be done... She stood up and walked over to Applejack, who was staring out the window.
" Applejack..?"
No response.
" Applejack?" Sunset Shimmer repeated.
This time the cowgirl scowled.
" What."
Sunset Shimmer swallowed.
" I...I...I'm sorry..."
No one moved for a while. They all just seemed to be shocked. Glancing around, she saw the faces of the others looking regretful.
" S-Sure..." Applejack whispered. She turned around to face her and took off her hat. Holding it guiltily she looked at her.
" Sunset Shimmer...You didn't do a thing to me. I did something to you...I caused our friendship to suffer with my big mouth."
Rarity and Rainbow Dash glanced at each other and slowly made their way to each other.
" Yeah...It was my fault for making us later than we were. I was being too vain," Rarity said to Rainbow Dash.
" N-No sweat. I was just co-signing on the rude remarks they made about you. And you're my friend. We're all friends...I'm sorry,"
Rainbow Dash sighed.
They shook hands and smiled. Applejack apologized to them as well and everyone was feeling better. Pinkie Pie came downstairs and blinked at what she saw.
Suddenly a big smile spread across her face.
" Does this mean we're friends?!"
They nodded and she tackled them with a big hug.
Hearing Fluttershy cough again, they all looked at each other.
" Come, on. Lets all go check on her," Sunset Shimmer said and they went upstairs.
As they tended to Fluttershy's needs, Sunset Shimmer looked out the window and saw things blowing around. It was starting to get windy.
She had no idea what was to come of it...
