Chapters I woke up in my cabin around 7:30. Today was the day I had been waiting for for a long time, I thought to myself as got up. As i got out of bed, my back popped in several different places due to the thin mattresses the crew and I had to sleep on every night. It felt good though, so continued to get ready for the day, brushing my teeth, taking a shower,and using deodorant. As i went to get my suit on, i passed by my "missions chart" hanging on the wall. It states who i have left to kill, and other problems that could use my attention. Im a mercenary for the United States. helping them take out terrorists that have the potential to destroy the country in any way. The They recently gave me the task of assassinating a former terrorist leader in Russia. It took a while but i managed to get it done. But on my flight back, my plane began to run out of fuel. so i asked my friend John if i could land on his aircraft carrier. So thats where i am now, on a giant ship in the middle of the atlantic. But that was all over now, The U.S Government finally gave me a year off of my duties, which means relaxing, and doing things with friends.
When I approached the closet and swung the doors open, i began to put my suit on. this was a long process because there was so much that made up my attire. First my pants, socks and military boots, then i squeezes into my t-shirt and my leather jacket, which i leaved unzipped to make myself look cooler. Finally, i put on my helmet. I never go anywhere with it. It has protected me from death so many times, i almost think it could be indestructible. Now my helmet may be strong but it can never conceal my long black hair underneath, leaving it to stick out the back and front a few inches. My entire suit is blue, except for the boots which were a dark gray color. so I finished putting on my outfit then I headed up to retrive my weapons. I am a mercenary anyways, I've got to have some kind of artillery.
The walk to the armory was pain staking, considering its all the way at the back of the carrier. when I finally get there, my feet are sore. I'm a really good runner, and i have good stamina, but when your jogging down hot crowded hallways on a metal floor, it makes it a little harder. I went inside and got my weapons. my shotgun, 2 44 magnums, and finally my dual wield katanas.
So with all of my equipment gathered up, i was ready to go. As i headed up the stairs to the flight deck i put my revolvers in their holsters and my shotgun and katanas on my back. It was about 20 flights of stairs to get to the flight deck, but it wasn't bad. I was wondering if they've got my plane ready to take off. My plane is my pride and joy, almost like a kid to me. She's a 450 foot warplane, with 4 massive engines and guns mounted all over. Today was the day i can fly back home, thats why I'm excited. i just hope they have my plane ready.
as i got on to the runway, i saw her. My plane was parked on the runway ready to go as promised. The sun was barely coming over the horizon, reflecting brilliant shades of red and orange over the planes glossy white exterior. it was amazing. my planes codename was "Alpha1" as it was painted on the front sides of her. Alpha 1 is a technically advanced aircraft, being able to do things such as hover, dive under the water, even fly backwards. she's the only one of her kind in the world. she is even powered by a rare uranium generator, and she was mine. as began to climb in under the landing gear, sailors shouted their goodbyes to me. it was the first time i had ever been here so they had never met me. so i stopped to shouted a few goodbyes back and continued into Alpha1. i opened the hatch into the cabin and climbed in. Then i made my way to the cockpit, finally getting things ready to make Alpha1 fly.
I reached for the ignition button and pushed it. When i did the lights in the cockpit came on as did the other lights in Alpha1. then i gave the throttles a little push and i heard all the turbines hum to life as i did. i began increasing power until i began to accelerate. then in as little as no time at all, i was airborne on my way home. all of my friends are at home. we share a house there, each pitching in a little to pay for it. i missed them. i had been on John s floating fortress for about ten months, and i was ready to get back home. since it was almost a 16 hour flight home, i decided to put Alpha1 on auto pilot while i slept, not realizing that would be the biggest mistake of my life.
i awoke to the sounds of thunder, only taking a moment to realize i was in a thundercloud. A BIG thundercloud. "well this is just great"i shouted out loud sarcastically. i raised the back part of my chair up again to look at the control board. the main lights were off, causing different panel lights to illuminate the cockpit an ominous red and green. the storm clouds made the outside look pitch black. I took the plane out of autopilot and took the controls to myself. Then all of a sudden Alpha1 began to shake violently. i tried to counter the shaking by throwing switches to stabilize the plane, but it was no good. The shaking eventually got so violent that the early waning lights came on. Then, a bolt of lightning struck the right wing, causing the turbines on that side to stop and catch fire. with the speed beginning to go down, Alpha1 was sent into a partial dive. I frantically began to pull here back up slowly. Then the cockpit glowed red from all the emergency lights that were going off. Finally, i dropped below the cloud layer, increasing my visibility. it was still dark, but it was less hazy.then i gazed out in front of me, and what i saw scared the hell out of me.
there was a city on the side of a mountain, with a castle right on the edge, thats i was about to fly right into! "holy shit!!!!!" i yelled as i franticly tried to turn out of the way. i grabbed the wheel and turned it to the left, and as I did, the plane slowly followed. The the sky being pitch black giving the impression that I had it cleared until I looked back and remembered the burning 40ft wing that stuck out the side. I yelled and braced myself for impact as the wing clipped the side of the castle, smashing pillars, bricks and stained glass windows. As plane shook violently, I slowly poked my head back up just in time to watch myself crash into a wooded area.
everything seemed to be moving in slow motion one the plane made contact. Metal, glass, myself, even parts of the outside that managed to get into the now broken windshield were being tossed around. Finally my entire body got thrown onto the control board, and everything sped back up. The sounds of snapping trees and scraping metal, were enough to drown out my cries of pain. Then the plane finally hit a big enough object to halt it to a violent stop. I laid there on the control board, feeling the rain on my back and blood rushing down my forehead and down my arm, dripping onto the controls, when slowly, everything turned black. And i was out cold.
Chapter 2 meet the ponies
im not sure how long i was out, but i would have to say at least a couple of days. The blood on my forehead and arm was dry and flakey. i rolled of the control board and landed on the cold hard floor with a thud. I could feel sunlight warming the planes interior, and myself. as i got back to my feet, i glanced out the now shattered cockpit window. There were trees everywhere. I walked over to the door that leads to the cabin and opened it, to my suprise the cabin was mainly intact. I noticed the windows were broken though and there was a bulge in the metal floor. The door on the exterior of the plane was torn off leaving the sounds of the outside to come in. so after gathering my strength, i decided to go outside.
as i approached the door, i was blinded by the bright sun, causing me to fall when i stepped out. i got back up and turned to face the plane. It was without a dout, totaled. The sight made me want to cry. The wings were still attached but snapped to where they touched the ground, the turbine engines were gone, and metal panelling was torn to shreds, laying beside the monster aircraft in mangled bits and chunks. looking behind the plane i noticed the trees were still standing. "But how is that possible"I thought to myself. " Alpha1 would have at least knocked them down" I continued to wonder and then realized i don't know where the hell i am.
with that thought in my head i rushed back inside the wrecked super plane to try and use my GPS system. but there was nothing. the crash had knocked out power to the whole plane. "i wonder if the power generator is still intact" i wondered to myself. I decided to head to the center of the plane to check it out. when i got there< the door was knocked out of place allowing easy access to the power generator. I was right! the uranium canisters had beed dislodged from the planes power router. I quickly reinstalled them and just like that, lights began to spring to life. I ruchedd back to the cockpit to use the GPS. According to it, there was a decent sized town about a mile from here. "Maybe they can help me" i said out loud.
i began to look around the plane for something of use. I walked into the cabin and began to look under seats and in the overhead containers. While i was reaching in one of the containers, i felt something. I grabbed it and pulled it out to find it was my friend Midnight's bolt-action sniper rifle. She was a U.S Navy Seal Sniper, one of the best there was. No wait, she is the best. I grabbed it and felt for my shotgun, but it was gone! " "damn it, it must have been ejected through the cockpit window when i crashed" I said to myself. Saddened a bit i put the rifle where my shotgun would have gone. and with that on my back i headed towards that town.
it was 11:30 am when i got out of those woods. but the GPS was right there was a town. I began to approach it when i looked back and saw a tower of smoke rising out of the forest. " I hope nobody wonders toward it" i thought to myself. I walked right into town, but didn't see anyone. the place looked deserted. "hello? Is anyone here?" i shouted, but still, the town was silent. The houses were really odd. the doors were barely my height, and I'm 6foot, and the rooftops were made of hay or some pink material. i past a place called "Ponyville Grocer". I thought"what an interesting name for a grocery store". I approached the door and gave the handle a jiggle but it wouldn't budge. Glancing around i noticed a mushroom shaped chair sitting not to far away. So using the chair i smashed open the window. I continued on in walking to the back of the store, i found 1 jug of milk which i thought would tide me over while i look for people.
After about 7 hours of shouting, wandering, and a few home intrusions, i couldn't find a soul. Plus it was beginning to get dark so i decided to head back to the plane. "maybe they are just at an out of town event. so i worked my way back through the forest. Soon into my walk back< i heard some leaves rustle. I turned around to see an odd looking Wolf slowly come out of the bush. I just grabbed my handgun and fired a few rounds into the air and then it ran off, and i continued back to my plane. when i got close, i noticed something that made me stop. i saw through the trees a yellow and pink thing moving around the plane. i dropped my milk and moved in closer. when i could see it a little better, i couldn't tell what it was still. so assuming the thing was a hostile, i grabbed the sniper. i cocked it and set sites on the little pink and yellow thing.i lined up my crosshairs with it and began to pull the trigger. suddenly it stopped moving. i curious at what it was filled it through the scope. Then before i knew what was happening i was sent over the bush tumbling onto my back. i looked back in time to see the wolf from earlier charge at me and sink its teeth into my right leg. I hurt like hell. i grabbed my handgun again, this time with the intention of killing the damn thing. i fired one shot into its side but that wasn't enough. it let go of my leg and then attacked my right hand, which was holding the handgun. It sank its teeth in hard, making my eyes water and making me drop the gun. It thrashes my arm around just about breaking it. then without hesitation i grabbed the gu with my other hand and firing the last remaining shots into its head. it didn't die but instead wondered back into the woods. i laid there overcome with pain watching blood ooz from my leg and arm. Then i guess the pain was too much for me to handle because i passed out.
i woke up with a wet rag over my eyes. i began to sit up but then something pushed me back down gently. "Please just hold still, your very hurt" i heard a voice say. the voice was very quiet and sweet. It made me feel safe, which is a felling i haven't had since i got here. "Who are you?" I asked. Suddenly I felt the rag being pulled off my face. Then there in front of me was a yellow pony with pink hair. The sight of her speaking was enough to startle me a little. "Who are you?" I asked worriedly. "My name is Fluttershy, And your safe now"
"Hows that possible?" I exclaimed. The yellow pony began to look at me confused. "your a pony, and ponies don't talk!" I shouted. Fluttershy simply smiled and turned towards a staircase saying," Well I don't know where you come from or what you are, but around here, all of us talk". She smiled at me and then continued up the stairs. As she did i noticed three small purple and blue butterflies tattooed on what i assumed was her thigh. I looked down at my ankle and arm, Noticing that she had bandaged them up. Since i couldn't feel any pain, i assumed she did a good job. I smiled at the thought of her helping me, considering thats not something a normal person would do. Then I saw Fluttershy coming back down the stairs with more bandages in her mouth. She trotted over to me and sat down beside me and began to unravel the bandages that were around my ankle. "Its time to change them" she said. Now would be a good time to get some answers as to where i am, i thought to myself.
As Fluttershy went to work on my ankle,I decided to ask her a few questions. "Hey Fluttershy, i need to ask you something." I said. She looked up at me. "where am I?" I asked. " Your in Equestria."she said. I began to ask her about the location of this place and she interrupted saying" Im not the pony you would want to ask questions to. But my friend Twilight could tell you that stuff." " And where is your friend?" I asked. " she will be over later. She's looking for a book on healing for you." Fluttershy told me. After hearing that i knew i shouldn't be afraid of these talking ponies. they don't seem to want to hurt me, and they are very nice. Just then, there was i knock on the door. "Oh, that must be Twilight now." Said Flutter- shy as she walked over to the door. She gently opened the door and in walked a purple pony with dark purple hair. Behind her followed a cyan colored pony with rainbow colored hair.
" I hope you don't mind Fluttershy, but Rainbow Dash passed by me and wanted to come along. She said she found something in the forest she wanted to show you." the purple one said. Using my common sense, i assumed that the purple one was Twilight, and the other to be Rainbow Dash due to the colors of the hair. " Oh thank you Twilight. I didn't know how to react when i saw it. Ive never seen or helped anything like it. Twilight walked over to me and looked at me. Suddenly her eyes lit up and she smiled greatly. She began to jump around and shout"OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH!! She spun around and looked at me again with a huge grin on her face. "Guys he's a human!" she shouted. " I've read a lot about them but I've never met one until today!". She seemed so excited to see a human it was almost funny. Then i heard rainbow dash talking to Fluttershy. "Look at this. I found it in the forest and thought you might be able to tell me what it is". She rolled something across the floor towards Fluttershy. I instantly recognized it myself though. It was without a doubt my shotgun. "Hey, you found my shotgun!" i exclaimed. Suddenly Rainbow dash looked at me with fear, and began slowly backing away.
Twilight looked back at her with a confused expression. "Hey Rainbow, whats wrong?" "YOUR THAT THING THAT ATTACKED CELESTIA'S CASTLE!!!!!" she shouted. "wait what?" i replied. She looked at twilight and began shouting at me again. "I found this inside that big metal thing that attacked celestia's castle 2 nights ago! Then looking back at the shotgun, she kicked it away from her. " THAT THING COULD BE DANGEROUS!!"Rainbow shouted. Then it all came back to me. That night when the plane was crashing, my right wing hit something. I assume that was celestias castle. I looked over and noticed Twilight and Fluttershy backing away as well. "wait guys, please let me explain." i asked. I stood up shakily from the little bit of pain that was still in my ankle. But before i could say anything else, i felt a sharp pain on the side of my head and fell over. Laying next to me was a broken flower vase. " stay back." twilight demanded. I noticed a horn on her head glowing. My vision was blurred so i really couldn't move. "He probably has more of those on his plane"Rainbow dash said pointing a hoof at my shotgun in the corner of the room."we should probably go get them in case he tries to use them" Rainbow said. "good idea" Twilight agreed and the two headed towards the door. "wait," Fluttershy said quietly. Twilight and Rainbow Dash turned around to face her. "Its dark out, and there could be bad creatu-Come on Fluttershy" Rainbow dash interrupted rudely. She looked back at me with sad eyes then followed her friends, shutting the door behind her.
I laid there for about five minutes while my vision slowly recovered. As soon as it did, I regained my strength and stood up. "I haven't even been in this place for a week and I've already made it onto the most wanted list." i thought to myself as i headed towards a kitchen area. As i walked in i noticed Fluttershy had my other weapons laying on her counter. "How convenient" I said to myself as i grabbed my handguns and put them back in their holsters. Suddenly i heard screaming out side. I rushed over to a nearby window and looked out towards the forest, still hearing the sounds of the cries. " Oh god, they could be in trouble" I thought to myself. With that thought in my head i quickly rushed over and grabbed my shotgun, and bolted out the door towards the forest. "HANG ON GUYS IM ON MY WAY!!" I shouted sprinting through the forest. I ran towards the sound of screaming, avoiding logs and other things. The forest was extremely dark due to the trees hanging over, making it hard to see. When i finally saw them, they were backed up agenst a tree, surrounded by at least four of those wolf things.
I rushed over to them, putting myself in-between the 3 small ponies and the wolves. I grabbed my shotgun off my back, cocked it , and pulled it up to my shoulder."Guys we need to work are way back to that little hut, it will provide a cover for us." I said to the 3 scared ponies trembling behind me. " where?!? I can't see anything the forest is to dark!" Rainbow shouted. She was right, the darkness was obscuring the trail out of here making going back near impossible. i began to look around, hoping to find a way out of this. If i shot them I'm afraid it would attract more. Then out of the corner of my eye, i noticed a row of lights out a ways, but they were in running distance. "Ok guys,see those lights over there? I said pointing a finger towards the lights. I waited for a sec until i heard a yeah and new they saw them too. "we are gonna make a run for them."i said with confidence. "We don't even know what they are" i heard someone say, assumedly Rainbow Dash. Suddenly one of the wolves made a lunge toward us. I reacted quickly, raising the barrel of my gun and pulling the trigger, sending a fury of pellets into the wolf causing it so plow into the ground dead. "WE HAVE NO CHOICE!" I shouted. "GO!" We all took off towards the lights, and the wolves followed. The wolves were faster than us but I constantly turned back and shot one. But as one dropped, another showed up. We passed a thing I recognized as a jet engine and instantly realized the lights were coming from my plane.
as entered the clearing where the plane wreck was, i looked back to see the ponies jaws drop. It would have actually been kind if funny, if we weren't being chased by vicious animals. "Ok follow me!" i shouted as i ran up the wing, headed for the doorway. I looked back and noticed the wolf pack charging there way out of the woods toward the wing. I dove into the plane through the doorway landing on my back, followed by Rainbow Dash, who landed on top of me. Then Twilight and Fluttershy dove in right after her. I got back up to close the door then remembered it was lost in the crash. I looked around for something to use as an alternative, noticing a piece of metal paneling that had come of the interior wall. I rushed over to it and slid it into place over the doorway, completely covering it. Then finally i tore a loose section of seats up from the floor and angled them towards the metal.I didn't hear anything outside which made me wonder if they had even followed us. then i sat down in another section of seats to catch my breath. Twilight came and began talking to me. "why did you save us?" she asked sounding a little sad. "what do you mean?" i asked. "we were going to turn you in to celestia, and yet you still came to save us".she said. "Yeah you were gonna turn me in, but i wasn't about to let you die because of it." I said. she smiled and looked at me. "thank you" she said as she walked towards the back of the plane.
I told them make themselves comfortable, and walked into the cockpit. I sat down in my chair, and reclined it all the way back so i could sleep, when i noticed Rainbow Dash walk in and sat down beside me. She was taller than me with the seat reclined which was a weird feeling. but then i noticed she looked a little sad. "is something bothering you?" i asked. She looked at me and told me she needed to tell me something, then using her back leg she shut the cockpit door. "I'm the reason your plane went down." she said in a sad tone. "how so?" i asked sounding a bit confused. "I was messing around in the Storm clouds, setting of lightning blots when i heard one hit something, then there was a loud explosion, and saw this thing go by on fire. Im so sorry" she said sounding really upset by it. I wasn't really mad about it, other than the fact she shot me down,but at least i was still alive. "hey, its ok." i told her. She looked back up at me with a partial smile. "really?" she asked. She suddenly looked a lot happier knowing i wasn't mad about it. "thank you so much." she said. then she reached over me and gave me a hug, then finally kissed me before hopping down, opening the door, and leaving shutting the door behind her. That was a different moment for me. I had never been kissed by anyone back in the U.S. Now the question in my head was why did she do it? then i though to myself, she is actually fairly cute. Then Considering how tired i was, i thought i might ask her about it in the morning. And finally with that being done, i laid down in my chair, fell asleep.
