Chapters Happenings in Dimensions: Book 2
Author's Note
Just in case anyone got confused while reading this chapter, I'll tell you what's happening. Twilight wakes up in the school after going through the portal thinking that everything that happened was a dream, but soon realizes that it wasn't a dream. Not only was it not a dream, she finds that Fluttershy had been sucked in as well to the other world. And what's more, something is causing her, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer to slowly transform into their pony selves. That's all I'm going to say just in case you get baffled reading that part. There's more so don't skip this chapter!
Mass Vanishing Act
She was falling from the sky.
That's all Fluttershy could register. She was too weak to scream or move. With the air rushing by she could barely breath. Down below she could hear some ponies screaming.
" Look, she's falling!"
" Someone help!"
" Ahh!"
Fluttershy felt confused for a split second in her hazy state.
"...Some...one?"
" I got her!"
Fluttershy felt herself land in somepony's arms. She blinked and looked up. It was Bulk Biceps...only he looked odd. She couldn't say what looked different about him at that moment. Everything was too blurry. Before she knew it, she blacked out.

Twilight sprung up abruptly. She had just had the worst nightmare. She was going through a portal to the other world when lightning and wind came out of no where and dragged her in...
She blinked and found herself staring at Sunset Shimmer and her human Main 5 friends.
What? How could she be seeing them if this wasn't a dream? Surely she's just hallucinating. She's just back home in bed with Spike sleeping soundlessly in his own bed...
They weren't looking at her but at something else. She slowly got up and felt a sharp pain in her shoulder blades. She ignored it. Twilight reached out to touch Rarity and pushed her away gently. Rarity glanced at her in surprise.
" Twilight, you're awake.."
The said pony, or rather person, gasped when she saw what it was they were looking at. It was human Fluttershy. She was unconscious. But what really was off was that she had pony ears, wings, and a tail. One of her hands were turning into a hoof.
" What..? I must be dreaming. Fluttershy...she couldn't really be like this..."
" Twilight...is this the Pegasus Fluttershy?" Sunset Shimmer asked softly. She was turned away from her and was hunching over.
Twilight was taken aback. " The Pegasus Fluttershy? But isn't this your Fluttershy? The human version? This dream is really weird and I want to wake up right now!"
Applejack touched her shoulder. " Twilight, you aren't dreaming. You're in our world. The Fluttershy we know is away from school. She's sick and bedridden."
Realization hit Twilight right then. This wasn't a dream. Sunset Shimmer had written her in the friendship journal and she had come to see what was wrong. But...if the other Fluttershy is sick and the one before her in the bed is the Pegasus...how did she get here?
" Where are we?" Twilight asked Applejack.
" We're in the school infirmary. Both of you were falling out of the sky! There was a pink flash in the air and poof! You two were hurdling down! It caused quite a disturbance among the students here," she said.
" Falling out of the sky? We should've been coming from the statue at the front of the school..." Then she remembered. " There was a crazy gust of wind that dragged me here. Fluttershy must've been pulled through as well. But how we got there in the sky is beyond me..."
Twilight turned to Sunset Shimmer, who was still not facing her. " The wind. The lightning. Where is it?"
" I don't know. It disappeared as soon as you arrived," she replied.
Twilight nodded and felt her head throb. " Ow..." She raised her hand up to her head and felt a long horn. " What? I still have my horn?"
" You still have your wings, too," Pinkie Pie pointed out.
This was true. Rainbow Dash frowned. " I don't get it. How do you have your horn and wings when we didn't even use the elements? First, the wind and lightning, now this. What's going on here?"
Sunset Shimmer gulped and turned around.
Twilight gasped as she peered at the horn upon her head.
" This started coming back at the beginning of the storm. My horn came back and one of my hands..." Sunset Shimmer pulled back her sleeve to reveal a hoof.
" A hoof! Just like Fluttershy!" Twilight exclaimed. " What could this mean?"
Sunset Shimmer shook her head. " I don't know, but whatever it was that caused the storm is very strong and has Equestrian magic. Only powerful magic could cause us to change to our true selves, our pony selves..."
Twilight gulped. Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack looked at her nervously. Pinkie tapped her shoulder.
" What should we do? Should we go get Fluttershy? The one we know?"
Twilight shook her head. " No. Not until she's well. Besides..." Everyone looked at the unconscious Pegasus girl.
" I'm not quite sure what'll happen if they meet, especially with the magical imbalance of this world. The theory of the world destroying when you meet yourself could be true." They agreed with her.
" What we need to do right now is found out where the weirdness happened..."
Pinkie Pie tapped her chin. " I think I may have an idea where."
They all looked at her and grinned.

BACK IN EQUESTRIA...
Princess Celestia listened to the troubled pony friends of Twilight tell her about the portal to the other world and its crazy malfunction alongside Luna and Cadence.
" This is bad..." Celestia mumbled.
" Yes. Especially since thou hath lost more than one friend to this wretched portal," Luna added.
" The element of Kindness Fluttershy, " Cadence sighed. " If it was anypony but her I wouldn't be so worried."
" What? How come?" Rainbow Dash asked.
" Fluttershy...isn't the strongest of you six...she's the weakest. With the knowledge of the strange, but powerful magic that is coming from the other world and the Pegasus' limited abilities...it's troublesome..." Cadence explained.
Pinkie Pie jumped up. " Twilight's there! She'll definitely make sure Fluttershy won't get hurt!"
" Yeah!" the others chimed.
" Yes, you're right," the princess sighed and smiled.
Princess Celestia cleared her throat.
" Rather than talk of insecurities, we need to address the issue HERE." The princess pointed at all the ponies crowded outside of the palace in Canterlot. They all stood in the cold weather and cried for an explanation.
" Huh? What could've gotten them so riled up?" Then Rainbow Dash remembered. " The lights! They went out in Twilight's castle when the portal opened. Could there have been a black out?"
" Could be..." Applejack replied. "And the weather's gotten fiercer, too." This was true. The earlier calm snow fall was kicking up pace in the angry swirls of wind.
"Let thou waste no time. Thy subjects needeth reassuring," Luna said as she made her way toward the stairs.
" My sister is right. We must calm everypony," Celestia said. They all made their way to the main hall and had the castle doors opened.
Many ponies came rushing in.
" My loyal subjects!" Celestia announced. "Simmer down! Let one come forth and tell me your troubles!"
A grey Pegasus with yellow hair stepped forth.
" Derpy," the Rarity mumbled.
" Yes, Pegasus," Celestia said.
" Your highness," Derpy began. " I need your help! My good friend, Dr. Whooves, has disappeared! And not by the TARDIS! The Doctor just went away like poof! He had been standing next to me when it happened!"
Cadence put a hoof on the pony's shoulder to calm her down.
" That doctor is always on his own adventures, though," Pinkie Pie whispered.
" Hush up!" Rarity hissed.
Lyra came forth in tears.
" Bon-Bon disappeared the same way! We were sitting on a bench listening to Octavia's performance when she just vanished!"
That's when it was Octavia's turn to come up.
" Yes! And after the performance, Vinyl had gone! She was up next to show her 'wubs' but she wasn't there!"
Suddenly the whole hall erupted in panic as ponies talked and shouted over each other.
" Disappearing ponies? What the hay?!" Rainbow Dash said.
" Watch your language," Rarity snapped.
Rolling her eyes, Pinkie Pie said to the princesses," This must be related to the portal." Cadence sighed and held up a hoof.
" Everypony, quiet!"
When they were all no longer yelling, Cadence asked the three ponies a question.
" How exactly did they disappear?"
Derpy gulped. " From the corner of my eye, I saw I saw a flash."
" A flash?" Luna mumbled.
" Me, too! Only I saw Bon-Bon vanish before my eyes! There was a flash and a swirly pink thing that went away in a snap," Lyra described.
" When I went to search for Vinyl, I saw this pink hue floating by her wub canon," Octavia told them. The remaining elements and princesses gulped.
" Whatever it is causing these ponies to vanish has power beyond anything we've ever dealt with," Rarity whispered.
Happenings in Dimensions: Book 2
Author's Note
If you aren't familiar with Pinkie Sense, I'll tell you what it is. Pinkie Pie has, in the show, a sixth sense that helps her predict events in the future and when things are about to fall on somepony's head. Pinkie Pie gets these odd spasms that indicate what will happen. In the episode with Mare Do Well, we see this sense come into effect, as well as in an earlier episode I can't remember the name to. Well, enjoy this chapter and comment below!
Pinkie Sense
Twilight and the four other human elements were hurrying away from the school and toward the outside stage they performed at on their last adventure.
" When I passed by here earlier my Pinkie sense went crazy! It was really funny because it was a twitch and a head shake and boom!
Twenty minutes later that weird storm happened!"
Unlike back in Equestria, in this world it was spring, not winter.
" A twitch and a head shake?" Twilight repeated.
" That's pinkie sense for something's gonna happen in the near future," Applejack said with annoyance. " Honestly, Pinkie, why didn't you tell us before this all happened?"
that Applejack's aggravation wasn't at her, Twilight, as she originally thought, she turned her attention to her surroundings. There, in just a couple of yards distance, was the stage with its huge bonnet covering over it. Memories of the Sirens and the singing battle came back to her as she slowed down to a stop.
That battle of the bands showdown left her throat raw for three weeks. It was a wonder how the Rainbooms still had the ability to sing during the ending credits (breaking fourth wall).
" Twilight, are you sure it's a good idea to leave Sunset Shimmer behind in the infirmary to watch over Fluttershy?" Rarity asked. " I mean, you told her about her change for the better, right?"
Twilight nodded. " Sure, she may be scared for a little, but it's nothing compared to the real thing to fear: What's causing all this strange events. The power is extremely strong and from what I see, not for the best. Someone's got evil intentions..."
She touched her horn on her head. " I'm afraid to even find out who it is and why they're doing this..."
Rainbow Dash sighed. " I don't see anything strange here, Pinkie. You sure your sense hadn't gone hay wire for another reason?"
" Yup. A witch and a head shake definitely means something will happen in the near future," the pink-haired girl told her.
They looked around. The only thing that was out of place was Twilight with her horn and wings.
" I don't see a thing," Applejack said. Rainbow Dash kicked the dirt carelessly.
" This is the near future. Stuff should be going. Are you really sure it was here an the sense is what you're saying it is?"
Pinkie Pie nodded. " Of course. It couldn't be anything else."
Rarity tapped her chin. " You feel any tingle or anything, Pinkie? No sense coming along? Or you, Twilight. Surely you can sense any magic here."
Twilight shrugged. " I can't tell..."
" Why don't try and use your horn?" Applejack suggested. " If you can use magic here, then the source should be around here somewhere if not this exact spot."
The princess sighed. " Here goes nothing..."
She lowered her head and her friends stood back. Twilight concentrated with all her strength and strained herself to will the magic to her. Hoping for the best, she closed her eyes and held her breath.
Magic.
Magic!
Magic!!
MAGIC!!!
She opened her eyes and to her disappointment, no pink hue was radiating from her horn. She shook her head. They all sighed disappointedly. Looks like they were holding their breath, too.
" Come on, lets go tell Sunset Shimmer the bad news," Rarity said.
They all turned to leave when a sudden flash and cry erupted from behind them. They whipped around to see a boy with dark brown hair and copper skin fall on the ground with a strange pink dust/hue floating in the air. He wore a black suit and a green tie. What really stood out was that he had pony ears and a tail. Twilight recognized him immediately.
" Dr. Whooves?!"
The said pony turned around and looked at her.
" Whoa, criminey! Am I in a new world? But I don't remember taking the TARDIS..."
Suddenly the sky exploded with flashes of lightning and pink swirly things. People just started falling out of the sky from these portals onto the ground. Bon-Bon crashed into Dr. Whooves, who groaned in agony as Vinyl landed on his outstretched arm. The girls gaped. About a dozen or so random people lay strewn on the ground, all with some kind of pony-ness to them.
Oddly, two people Twilight had never seen before were on the ground next to each other.
" Oh Celestia! All these people...they're from Ponyville!" Twilight exclaimed. "but I've never seen those two before."
The same boy and girl she didn't recognize sat up groaning. The boy had slightly orange skin similar to Applejack's but lighter. His curly grey hair was stuffed under an Air Force cap with some kind of royal seal. He wore a red scarf, a brown vest, and black shoes, shirt, and pants. He was a Pegasus (or was).
The girl was a blue color and had mint, white, and green streaks in her hair. Wearing a purple dress shirt and black bottoms, it was apparent she had an expensive taste in clothes.
Twilight had already taken in the situation but her friends were still gaping. Twilight had seen weirder things. But she felt oddly curious about the two people she had never seen before. Everyone here was from Ponyville, except them.
Who were they?
Where did they come from?
Were they the reason behind all of this?

The Whole Reason this Adventure Happened...Part 2
Everyone stood staring at the monster that just showed up in the clouds.
" Long time no see, Twilight Sparkle. Oh yes, it's princess Twilight Sparkle. Pardon me, your majesty," Sombra said in his low rumble of a voice.
Twilight frowned deeply at the King.
" What do you want, Sombra!"
The King sniffed.
" Getting right to the point, I see. Well! Ever since you defeated me at the Crystal Empire, I had been devising a plan. I needed a big one just for you! In the meantime, I watched you defeat Tirek, Discord, and I was told about the defeat of Queen Chrysalis."
Sombra let out a low laugh.
" Oh believe me, she's still mad about it."
Twilight glared at him.
" What're you getting at."
With deep aggravation, King Sombra snarled," What I'm going to do is take all the Equestrian magic out of you ponies and rule over this place and Equestria!"
" That's so unoriginal. Tirek already tried that," Pinkie said.*cough, cough! You should notice something here...*
" Shut it and let me finish!" Sombra snapped. " I found this place while eavesdropping on your conversations with princess Celestia. I thought about Tirek's plan to consume all the Equestrian magic and realized there was one flaw. There was no way he could ever get away with the magic in Equestria. Not with you ponies around. So I came up with a new idea.
" I thought that if I could transport some of her subjects to this dimension which she has no control over, I can drain their power and use it to conquer Equestria!"
Twilight frowned. " Well you've made a terrible decision. As princess, I'll stop you!"
King Sombra rolled his eyes. " I bet you're not even used to the alicorn magic you possess, which actually makes my plan better! I can now drain you of the most powerful magic! Alicorn magic!"
He chuckled and looked down at her with a challenging expression.
" Alicorn magic isn't the most powerful magic, it's the friendship of magic, and you can never take that away from us!" Twilight shouted.
Her friends stood by her side supportingly. King Sombra shrugged.
" Oh, I wouldn't stick to your claim."
Suddenly a purple light lit around Fluttershy and she was lifted into the air.
" Fluttershy!" her friends cried.
She squeaked and shook with fear as she rose higher in the air toward Sombra.
" You know, princess...There's a big mistake you've made. This here pony is the Pegasus Fluttershy, the element of Kindness. This pony is the element herself , not the replacements you've got there who only wield a small portion of the magic," King Sombra began.
" Replacements?! You evil jerk!!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
" Oh come on, 'Dashie'. Surely you didn't think you could match up to the REAL Rainbow Dash. She's the one who has the element, not you. You're just in place of her absence, a double. Just like all you humans!"
He pointed an accusing finger at the CHS students.
" You're all fakes! The real ones are here with me. You have no magic. You are useless!"
He looked back at Fluttershy, who cowered in fear.
" You should've sent her back home, Twilight. You had the ability to open a portal with her element. But of course, you were too slow to know that the magic you were trying to possess earlier was already there with you in the first place. You just had to be with Fluttershy and use the magic of her element and yours for any magic to happen and poof! A portal would appear and good cheers and you both went home. You're dumber than you look."
Twilight stood there in confusion. " Used her element as well as mine? But I would need all the elements together in order to open a portal..."
King Sombra looked surprised. " You didn't know that you only need the key element of magic and the element you're trying to draw power from in order to do that? You really thought that you had to have ALL the elements in order to do ANYTHING??"
The king let out a laugh that roared through the sky.
" Looks like princess Celestia didn't teach you well enough!"
Twilight and the others felt pale and gulped.
" With the element of Kindness herself, I have magic stronger than yours! Friendship! Ha! You wouldn't dare do anything to me as long as I had one of your friends, would you?"
The girls stood frozen to their spots. He just used their own source of power against them!
" Alicorn magic isn't the strongest magic, it's the magic of friendship, and you can never take it away from us!" Sombra mocked. " I just did. I took a part of it. And without all the elements, your power isn't nearly as strong. It's absolutely nothing to me. That's the price of having friends. You have to count on them to help you all the way through. Ha! Well now your dear Fluttershy can't. How do you like me now?!" King Sombra cried.
They were stuck in a trap.
" Darn him," Applejack muttered.
" Hey, Sombra!" a voice cried.
Everyone looked to see who it was.
It was the boy Twilight had noticed earlier, the boy that didn't belong because he was so out of place.
Sombra frowned and squinted at him. " And who might I have the pleasure of being stopped mid-enjoyment..?"
" I'm prince Feather Flyer of Marelin!" he yelled.
Sombra's eyes widened. " Son of King UpperCrest the Conquerer?"
" Yeah, he darn is!" the girl who everybody also didn't know and was quite random in that setting said.
Sombra gulped.
" Then you must be..."
" It's princess Crystal Gem of Hoofindale to you!" she shouted.
" Daughter of Roland the Sorceror..." the evil being whispered. Sombra quivered in terror. These beings...they were the worst he could ever have encountered.
In anger and fear he glared at the elements and the pony people.
" You're lucky. But I won't give up so easily. You have three days, Twilight! Three days to face me and surrender. If you don't do so, your people will be drained of their power and you as well and there's nothing you can do about it. And..."
Sombra glanced fearfully at the two people who bellowed out to him before.
" To make things fair, none of you will have magic. You will have to be completely clean of any magical trace. We don't want to have an unfair, crazy uproar of ponies on me, now do we? Especially if I'm going to take your Pegasus friend here as a prisoner of war."
Twlight and the others couldn't believe what they just heard.
" No, give her back!!" Sunset Shimmer cried.
" Funny you are the one opposing of this plan," Sombra chuckled.
Sunset Shimmer clenched her teeth tightly and felt the rage boil inside of her. But no. She couldn't let it show. It'd be bad to show that his comments were getting to her.
Sombra just laughed maniacally as the clouds turned dark and swirled around him. Lightning flashed and Fluttershy's screams could be heard as the enemy began to disappear.
" You're oh so lucky, princess! You may have got away this time, but your fate is sealed! Since you are obviously an amateur at magic, I'll give you a hint. Magical Imbalance. Tell Celestia she should try to teach her students everything and not only a little!"
And with that, everything was silent.
Author's Note
Ok, so before you blast me or anything just hear me out. This plot with Tirek's plan being recycled is not the most original, but I had it in here because this is my take on how Tirek should have gone through with his plan in the show. Now I know Equestria Girls wasn't out(or was it..?) at the time. But ever since I watched that episode with Tirek taking everyone's powers away, I always felt there was something he could've done to have made it more effective.
As for the two random ponies I just popped up in the story(Feather Flyer and Crystal Gem), their story will be explained in the next chapter and it will also explain why Sombra was quick to leave.
And lastly, Pinkie. You know the part where I put those stars at next to Pinkie's one line in this chapter? Well, you should've noticed that Pinkie couldn't have possibly known that Sombra's plan was Tirek's, only improved. That Pinkie is human, not the pony Pinkie that was actually there...But you know, it's Pinkie. So she knows everything.

The Tale of the Alicorn Kings
Back in Equestria where the cold weather grows colder with the growing fear of Twilight's pony friends...
"They should've been here..." princess Cadence mumbled.
" Who?" Luna asked.
" The Kings' Duo," she replied.
Luna nodded. " Ah, yes..."
" The Kings' Duo?" Rarity repeated. " Who are they?"
Celestia walked up to the pony and her friends.
" Ever heard of the Tale of the Alicorn Kings?"
Applejack tapped her chin.
" Sounds familiar. I think Applebloom may have told me about it. Something to do with her class reading the story..."
" Same here with Sweetie Bell," Rarity commented.
" Oh, Oh! I read that story to the Cakes' twins!" Pinkie Pie squealed.
Rainbow Dash tapped her hoof on the ground in irritation.
" Never heard of it. But what does this have to do with this duo? Probably nothing," She snorted. " Not like it'll help our dire situation here..."
Princess Luna smiled. " Funny thou should sayeth the pony tale hath no relation to this duo."
Rainbow Dash smiled sheepishly. Remembering how she dismissed Twilight on the fact that the story 'Mare on the Moon' was all true, she stammered," Y-Yeah, lets, uh, hear the story."
Proof that there are pony tales with some truth? You've got it. The princess of the night was living evidence of that fact.
Princess Celestia cleared her throat.
" The tale of the Alicorn Kings actually isn't very old. Only written thirty years ago, not many are aware of it."
She waited to have everypony's attention before continuing.
The Tale of the Alicorn Kings
Once upon a time ago, there were two princes. One was named UpperCrest who lived in a country called Marelin. He was a chivalrous Pegasus, who flew through his skydom, performing great feats of honor and duty. Prince UpperCrest was born to be a knight and it was his dream to become the commander of the skydom's Pegasi Elite Air Force.
The other prince was a unicorn named Roland, who studied deeply the art of magic. He greatly admired Starswirl the Bearded and worked on perfecting his magical ability to its fullest. He was the apprentice of the kingdom's sorcerer. Roland's country, Hoofindale, was right below UpperCrest's country, Marelin. The two princes often met and became great friends.
But then the war happened--
Before princess Celestia had a chance to continue, Rainbow Dash interrupted.
" The war? What war?" she asked.
" You seem pretty interested in this story," Cadence commented.
The Pegasus cleared her throat.
" Yeah, well, only because the Pegasus guy seems cool..."
Rarity and Applejack exchanged knowing looks and Pinkie Pie just bounced up.
" What's the war?" she asked cheerfully.
" Didn't you say you knew this tory? What're you asking for?" Rainbow Dash wondered.
" Yeah, I did but the I know is filly friendly. There's no way you would tell a foal about war, now would you? I've never heard this version before," the pink pony explained.
Well then, I'll tell you the rest," Princess Celestia said. " The war was between the earth ponies of another country and...King Sombra."
" King Sombra?!" Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash cried.
Celestia nodded.
" King Sombra had plagued the land and destroyed their homes and food sources to threaten their earth pony king to step down from his throne and make him ruler. It was a great deal of tragedy then. The earth ponies declared war and asked the unicorns of Hoofindale and the pegasi of Marelin to help. The two princes decided to fight in the war against Sombra.
"It took a long time for the ponies to feel that loss was near. There had been great suffering during the five years of war. But then finally, it was just the princes and 60,000 troops. Prince Roland and Prince UpperCrest came together and decided to perform the unthinkable: the Succuberus Omega."
Rarity gasped while the other three blinked.
" Suckleberry OMG??" Applejack said.
"Huh?" Pinkie and Rainbow Dash said simultaneously.
" Not Suckleberry OMG, Succuberus Omega," Rarity told them. They stared at her. The fashionista groaned.
" Succuberus Omega is Pony Greek for 'Surrendering End'. Honestly, that's the language where the word 'pegasus' came from. The spell Succuberus Omega is the absolute hardest, nearly impossible, and lets not forget the #1 forbidden spell that Starswirl the Bearded himself created! The spell brings upon its victim unavoidable doom that causes them to suffer for the rest of their lives!"
" Oh," they said.
" That was a wonderful explanation, Rarity," the princess said. She then cleared her throat and continued.
" So the two princes decided to perform this spell. In order to properly use it, Roland canted the sacred words and stored all his magical energy into UpperCrest, who was charged at the King and BOOM!!!!!"
She stomped her hoof, scaring the ponies.
" The immense power of the spell shot toward King Sombra, but..."
The princess looked at them carefully.
" It did not hit him. Seeing the power of these two ponies, however, King Sombra became deathly afraid and never returned. Knowing that if he had moved the slightest bit during that attack, he would've been suffering forever was enough to make him surrender. But, of course, there's his pride and so he didn't. The princes were full of happiness their countries were now free of the demon that tormented their people. Everypony cheered and celebrated their triumph in great feasts. However, when the princes went home to share their joy with their fathers, both had been poisoned by Sombra.
" That day, the princes became kings and have been known as the Alicorn Kings ever since. And it is believed that the dead bodies of their fathers symbolize his hatred and that he'll one day return and challenge them again..."
The ponies were silent for a long time until Pinkie asked," Why are they called the Alicorn Kings?"
"Because of the two kings' pony races. If you combine a unicorn and a Pegasus, you get an alicorn," Cadence explained. " They formed a strong alliance after the defeat of Sombra and became close to brothers to one another."
" So this Kings' Duo...who are they?" Applejack asked.
" The Kings' Duo," Luna began, " is the result after the great war and years of thou's reign. King Roland becameth Hoofindale's new sorcerer and continued to doth great things. Thus becoming known as Roland the Sorceror. King UpperCrest slayed the evil frometh thou's country and Roland's, thus he becameth UpperCrest the Conquerer.
" Naturally, the kings had families and was born princess Crystal Gem of Hoofindale and prince Feather Flyer of Marelin, both together known as the Kings' Duo."
" So the Kings' Duo is the children of the Alicorn Kings," Rainbow Dash said.
Her eyes widened.
" So does that mean..?"
Celestia grinned.
" Yes, Rainbow Dash. The Tale of the Alicorn Kings is real."
The ponies gasped in amazement.
" Cool!" Rainbow exclaimed." Then they must be as cool as their fathers!"
" And that they are," Cadence said. A frown crossed her face. " Only...I'm worried they may not make it here. Something tells me that they've run into something. And that something's not good..."
The ponies glanced at each other worriedly.
" We called them to come to the castle to help us solve this issue with the disappearing ponies and see if there's any way we can reach Twilight physically in the other world. Since the portal mirror is damaged, there's no way to get to the other world without serious malfunctions...Lets just hope they'll come, Cadence, just hope," Celestia said grimly.

Happenings in Dimensions: Book 2
Out with the old, in with the new
Back where Twilight and her subjects lay stuck...
Twilight, Sunset Shimmer, and the others stared at the two people in front of them.
" What the hay..? Did Sombra get scared off by these two weirdos?" Rainbow Dash muttered. " And did they say they were royalty? Pssh! That guy there looks more like an aviator and the girl just straight seems like a cross between Lyra and Trixie..."
This was true. The boy with his cap, scarf, and heavy boots did seem like an aviator. The girl with him had Lyra's hair but with green streaks, had a complexion in between Trixie's and Lyra's, and was wearing a purple shirt like Trixie's cape. Her hair was wild and somewhat untidy.
Twilight frowned. " I don't care what they look like. What matters is that they did, whatever it was, have an effect on Sombra. We need their help."
Sunset Shimmer bit her lip. " I don't know. This Crystal Gem girl seems to have Trixie's attitude..."
Looking at Crystal Gem, they saw what she meant. The girl had that glow in her eyes, that glow of eagerness for all things praising her. Twilight just shook her head.
" Still, we need their help. Especially since they're prince and princess."
They walked toward them. Sunset Shimmer was still not quite sure about them.
" Prince of Marelin and princess of Hoofindale? I've never heard of those places, Twilight. All the maps I had to study with Celestia I memorize to this day, and those countries weren't on any of them."
" Give it a break! Whether or not they lied, we need to get their help!" Twilight stressed. " Come on, girls!"
Practically dragging them, she pulled them toward the two people.
The boy turned around and smiled.
" Princess Twilight Sparkle, what a pleasure."
" Hello, Feather Flyer. So, uh--"
" It's the princess! I've heard plenty things about you! You're a wonderful role model!" Crystal Gem interrupted. She shook her hand roughly.
" W-Well! Um, thank you!" Twilight said.
She cleared her throat and continued.
" Thank you for saving us back there. We really appreciate it."
The boy nodded happily.
" No problem. We intend to help you get your friend back as well. You know, I'm finally glad to get to meet the legendary princess Twilight and her Friendship council (basically her friends). We've heard so much about you."
Twilight blinked. "...Legendary..?"
Crystal Gem smiled. " Back where we come from, you and your friends are practically goddesses! We've heard of all your deeds, like the time you turned Discord to stone, and made that wannabe Trixie look like a fool with the fake necklace."
It was funny that she'd be the one to say that.
"Twilight Sparkle! What on earth is going on here?!" a familiar voice cried.
They all turned to see Principal Celestia marching toward her angrily.
" P-Principal Celestia!" Twilight gasped. She sped over to her and looked up at her anxiously.
" Explain what is going on," the woman demanded sternly.
The girl nodded. " Well, you see, we're in a fix and I need somewhere to keep all those people...Can you please let them stay at the school? It's only three days!"
Celestia looked horrified. " No!"
Sunset Shimmer butted in and frowned. " But Principal Celestia, this is a very important matter! She really needs to have these people someplace to stay during the next three days. This could decide the fate of earth!"
"Funny YOU should be saying that, Ms. Shimmer. The first disaster was your fault," the lady said coldly.
Sunset's face paled and she stayed quiet, backing out of the conversation. It was enough that everyone was dumping on her like she was trash and now her principal? She felt worthless and sank behind her friends.
" But please! We NEED them here!" Twilight begged.
After a long debate she finally agreed but as long as they followed certain guidelines.
" No roaming the halls during class time, no wandering off of the school grounds, and absolutely NO MAGIC!!!!" Celestia stressed. " Twilight, you're very lucky that this matter is very serious. Parents have been complaining about there being weird occurrences here and Vice Principal Luna and I have been trying to hide the fact. If anything gets out of hand, this place will get shut down and we'll be out of a teaching license. Please understand that I'm doing this once and only once for you."
And with that she left.
They rallied the pony people into the building and went inside as it became dark. It was time for all the regular students to leave and the saviors sighed.
" Fluttershy's gone now. How are we going to stop Sombra? He said so himself. I can't defeat him without everyone. He took away part of our strength and there's nothing we can do..." Twilight whispered in defeat.
" Not quite. Your Fluttershy may be gone, but our Fluttershy is still here. She can replace the one we've lost," Applejack commented.
" Right! But what do we do to defeat Sombra? We can't risk him hurting Fluttershy. If he does..." Twilight was worried sick.
" Well, we can take care of that. Princess Celestia wanted us to help her solve the problem of disappearing ponies and here they are!" Crystal Gem said to her.
" Just how did you get here?" Applejack asked.
" We were taking a portal from our world to Equestria when this crazy wind sucked us here," Feather Flyer explained. " Not my ideal way of transportation."
" You're from another world?!" the girls gasped.
The Kings' Duo nodded. " Yeah. Our fathers King Roland and King UpperCrest are friends with your princess, Twilight. We help her with many things. Especially when it comes to Sombra."
Twilight paused. " King Roland and King UpperCrest...wait, you're not talking about the kings from that pony's tale, are you?"
" Of course we are. The Tale of the Alicorn Kings is for real, Sparkles!" Crystal said with unmistakable pride.
Twilight's eyes went wide.
" So you're the Kings' Duo?! Oh wow! You're fathers were the ones who nearly destroyed Sombra! So it's true..."
Meanwhile, her friends were not following along. I mean, they are human. How would they know? And Sunset Shimmer was too hurt to think about that.
" So, since we know all about Sombra from our fathers, we'll be your allies. But there is one thing...What Sombra said about you not knowing much about magic is pretty true. We need you to know everything there is to know or your power won't be strong enough to rid of him. The attack we have in mind to defeat him will use all your magical energy and you'll need to be fully trained and focused," the prince said.
" What do you mean the attack will need all my magical energy?" Twilight asked.
Crystal Gem and Feather Flyer smiled.
" What we mean is that we're going to teach you in the next three days how to perform the Succuberus Omega."
Author's Note
Alright, so in my opinion, this is the crappiest chapter so far. I was rushing to get this done because some people were waiting for this story to get updated. Well, today happened to be a snow day so no school for me right now!
Also, I'm going to be releasing a new story later called If she were the sun and her the moon. It'll mainly be focusing on Sunset Shimmer dealing with her depression and how she realizes how hated she is by others. But don't worry. It'll get better as the story progresses.
Happenings in Dimensions: Book 2
The human mane 4, Twilight, Sunset Shimmer, and the Kings' Duo sat in the practice room the Rainbooms always hung out at during lunch. It was dark out and they had some things to discuss.
Thye Kings' Duo told the tale of their fathers to the girls and they chatted excitedly about it for a while until Twilight changed the subject.
" I need to contact princess Celestia and tell her you're here. I'm sure my friends would be glad to hear form me and the princess relieved to know everything is ok at the moment."
Rarity frowned. " I don't know...Telling her that Fluttershy is POW, Sombra plans to drain everybody's magic, and that you only have three days to defeat him isn't what I'd call ok."
They all became quiet as their earlier festive mood came to a solemn acknowledgement of Rarity's words. All of this as something you wouldn't call good news. But either way, it had to be relayed to the princess. Twilight glanced over at Sunset Shimmer, who was in a corner looking down at the floor. Something didn't seem right with her...
" Sunset Shimmer, can I borrow your journal? I need to write a message to princess Celestia."
The girl in the corner looked up slightly at the mention of her name and then glanced back down at her feet.
"Sure..."
Twilight walked across the room to the table it lay on and hesitated before picking it up. Sunset Shimmer didn't seem up to her normal status. Maybe she was just exhausted from the long day.
Grabbing a pencil, Twilight began to write her message to the princess.

Back in Equestria...
" I got! I got it!" Pinkie Pie screamed as she and the others clambered to grab the glowing journal.
The ponies were excited off the chain to see that they finally got word form their best friend.
Are they alright?
Will they be coming home?
Is the issue with the berzerk lightning and wind solved?
All their answers were to be answered in this book Pinkie beheld. She cleared her throat.
" Ok, ok. Here's what it says..."
Dear princess Celestia and friends,
Hopefully you all are doing well. There are a number of issues that I'd like to address in this letter that are very important you read. First, is the ponies from Ponyville. There is literally half the town here and none of them as far as I know are hurt. The reason why they're here is because of Sombra, another issue I need to discuss. Sombra is the whole reason around why there was odd lightning and strong winds in this world. He plans to drain everypony of their magic and use it to conquer Equestria. Unfortunately, Fluttershy was taken as POW. Fortunately, the Kings' Duo is here! Please be safe.
Twilight
The ponies felt both excited and sad at the same time. Everything was fine except for the fact that Fluttershy was hostage at the moment.
" Looks like there's news to tell Celestia," Cadence said from the doorway. She had been listening to Pinkie read it.
" Yeah," Rarity mumbled as she frowned in thought. " But...how exactly is Sombra supposed to drain some of the missing ponies of power? Derpy came crying about her funny doctor friend who's an earth pony."
Cadence shook her head. " There's a lot you girls don't know. Every pony has magic, even pegasi and earth ponies. It's just hidden deep within. Only few can release it."
The girls took this into consideration. " I'm an earth pony. How exactly do I release my inner magic?" Applejack asked.
" You already have. Through friendship," Cadence said as she walked away to alert Celestia.
Cadence explained to Celestia what she just heard and Celestia frowned.
" This may not work, her defeating Sombra."
Cadence was surprised. Usually she had faith in her former student. " How come?"
Celestia got a quill and quickly scribbled out a letter. " This is Sombra we're dealing with."
Celestia walked across the room to a fiery red phoenix.
" Philomena, I need you to send a message."
The bird stretched its wings in response.
" Go to Prince Solaris and give him this message."
Philomena took the paper in its beak, cawed, and in an instant vanished into thin air, leaving ashes where it sat before.
" What does the message say?" Cadence asked.
" The message," Celestia began," is asking for help. You and me both know that Sombra didn't dodge that Succuberus Omega spell just by pure luck. He himself had a trick up his sleeve and he may have that same card. No doubt will the Kings' Duo try to do the same spell. And if that's the case, they need more people to help. The more power they gather, the better. And with a vital part of magic taken out(Fluttershy), they need more people anyhow."

Solaris read the letter carefully and grunted in understanding.
" Thank you, Philomena. I have no letters for you. You may return to Celestia."
The phoenix disappeared in an instant and left the prince to ponder by himself.
" Herald!" he called.
A pony with a bugle horn came rushing in his office.
" Yes?"
" Send for the Main Six and Sunrise Gleam immediately. It's of great importance."

Author's Note
Hi! You know, it's always been my dream to have someone do a youtube reading of my story or make it into an animation. I always thought that was cool. It actually would be great if somepony would do that.
Seven Years Bad Luck
Fluttershy sat by the window of her cottage and sighed. It was winter and all her animal friends were sound asleep in their burrows hibernating. During the winter season, she often became lonely, especially during snow storms. No pony was there to keep her company. She was just thinking about her five best friends when a knock came at her door..
" Hmm?" she murmured. Getting up she went to go answer the door.
" Yes?"
Outside was Owlicious.
" Oh hello, Owlicious! I thought you were hibernating!" she said. Owlicious hooted. On his leg was a piece of paper.
" A paper..."
She took it and read it aloud.
Dear Fluttershy,
Come to my castle right away. It is a matter of most importance.
Twilight
Fluttershy's eyes widened. Owlicious hooted and floated toward the icy road.
"I'm coming! Hold up, Owlicious!" Fluttershy called.
She closed the door behind her and spread her wings to fly. She jumped and flew down the road. It was very cold and she wondered why she forgot her scarf.
Didn't matter.
She had to get to the castle quickly anyway. A few minutes later, Owlicious and Fluttershy made it to the castle. She knocked and almost immediately was pulled in by a pink hoof. Being dragged in, she blinked and saw it was Pinkie Pie.
"Pinkie! Did Twilight call you here, too?"
" Yup! Come on. Everypony's waiting for us in the throne room!" the pink pony told her. The owl flew up to a nest and began to sleep.
"Pinkie, do you know why we're here?" Fluttershy asked as she followed her friend up the stairs.
" Beats me! Twilight said she wouldn't tell us until you got here, " Pinkie replied. She bounded up the stairs joyfully. Fluttershy followed her to the room and was greeted by a hug from her friends.
" Hi girls," she said.
" Hey, Flutters!" Rainbow Dash replied. Applejack grinned as she looked upon her Pegasus friend.
" Flutters? That's new."
" We haven't seen you in ages!" Rarity exaggerated.
" Ok everypony. I can tell you all why I've gathered you all here now that Fluttershy is here," Twilight announced. She took out her journal full of everypony's entries on friendship.
" All of you know that after the second time I went through the portal into the other world, Sunset Shimmer and I have been in contact through this book." They all nodded and watched intently as Twilight used her magic to flip through the pages to the latest entry.
" The entries are mostly about her asking for advice in friendship. Every once in a while she'll start a conversation about other things and we pen pal it up for hours...But this latest entry is entirely different from anything I've seen her write."
She flipped to the last written page for everypony to see.
Dear Princess Twilight,
Something very strange is happening. There was an odd flash of lightning and gust of wind that raged through here out of no where. And today's a sunny day! The lightning and wind is still happening. Please come, Twilight. I have a feeling it's magic related.
Signed, Sunset Shimmer
Applejack made a face. The ponies looked up at the princess.
" So, you have to go back for a third time," Rainbow Dash observed.
Twilight nodded solemnly. " I have to make sure it isn't anything serious."
" I think it is, though. Lightning and crazy winds? On a sunny day??" Rarity pointed out. Twilight sighed and took her book.
" Yes, I know..."
She walked over to a huge object covered by a blanket. " I'm glad I didn't disassemble it..."
She pulled back the blanket and revealed the machine attached to the portal mirror.
" Looks like we're still not going, " Pinkie Pie commented.
Her friends nodded and took a step away from the mirror. Twilight used her magic to lift the journal to its pedestal on the portal machine. Instantly, a pink spark began to power the machine. The ponies watched in awe as the portal began to form.
But suddenly, a strange flicker happened and a sudden lightning flash lit the room. The lights in the room went out and all they could see was the swirling portal. A vicious rush of air tugged at them all and dragged them toward it.
" W-We're being sucked in!" Fluttershy shrieked. The rushing of wind and crack of lightning were like demons trying to capture them.
They all screamed as they held on to the thrones for dear life.
" Hang on!" Rainbow Dash yelled over the rushing air. Surprisingly, there was no thunder at all.
" Girls!" Twilight cried. " I have to know what's causing this!"
" No!" Rarity cried back. " It's dangerous!"
" Aren't all our adventures dangerous?!" the princess yelled.
" ...Touche..." Applejack murmured thoughtfully.
" I've got to know in order to settle this issue! Let princess Celestia know I'm in the other world!" Twilight told them and she let go of the throne she held on to. Falling back into the portal she shouted," Be safe!"
The portal almost instantly began to close. The wind, however, became extremely violent. Fluttershy shrieked. " I'm slipping!"
" No!" Pinkie Pie screamed. Before anypony could do anything she let go.
" Fluttershy!!" they yelled.
The said pony fell into the rapidly shrinking portal. The wind became so strong they could all no longer hold on. They were forcefully yanked toward the mirror. But instead of passing through they crashed into the mirror. The portal had already closed. The four of them groaned as they tried to get up. The room was completely dark since the crazy event caused the lights to blow out. Rarity lit the place up with her horn. They all glanced at the mirror and gasped. On the reflective glass was a ring of cracks where they had crashed into it.
Beside them the journal fell from its pedestal unharmed.

The Whole Reason this Adventure Happened...Part 1
Fluttershy opened her eyes.
She was staring at the ceiling of someplace. Slowly she sat up. Looking around, she realized she was in the infirmary. Looking at the blanket that covered her feet she noticed that where her front hooves should be were strange appendages...It looked like a monkey's paw to her. One hoof, though, was how it should be.
Raising her regular hoof, she felt the pony ears and the wings on her shoulder blades.
" Fluttershy!"
The said girl shrieked in surprise and fell out of the bed. Sunset Shimmer came running to her side.
" Fluttershy! You're awake!" she said.
The Pegasus girl cowered in fear at the sight of her.
" W-What ARE you..?"
The 'thing' in front of her was standing on its back legs and had the same monkey paw on one hand but a hoof on the other.( Just in case you don't know what a monkey's paw looks like, it looks like a person's hand. It's just being called that because Fluttershy doesn't know people exist and she's taken care of a monkey and knows what they're paws look like...)
The creature's hair was like fire. Yellow streaks and red streaks like the sunset *cough, cough. Obvious hint to how she got her name*.
The creature looked confused. " Fluttershy, I'm Sunset Shimmer..."
Fluttershy's eyes widened and she shrieked again.
Sighing, Sunset Shimmer stood up. Twilight had told her before she left with the others that she knew she changed for the better. Looks like she was lying.
Sunset Shimmer looked at the girl on the floor beside the bed. " You must have tons of questions. Let me tell you a few things before you ask any."
Fluttershy waited for her to continue anxiously.
" Fluttershy, you know that world Twilight told you about where everyone of you and your friends exist but not as ponies? The place where she--" She stopped. The words " The place where she defeated me" were about to come out. Sunset Shimmer had to sigh in embarrassment.
"...where she defeated the Sirens?"
Fluttershy looked up at her; slowly she was piecing together the information. She nodded dumbly.
" Well, you're in that world. You fell through a portal after Twilight into this dimension, " Sunset Shimmer explained.
The event became clearer as she remembered everything that happened up until then.
" I'm...really in another dimension..?" Fluttershy whispered.
The other girl nodded.
Sunset offered her hand to her.
" Come on. Get up."
Fluttershy eyed the hand offered to her.
" Oh, I won't bite," Sunset Shimmer said with a smile.
Fluttershy felt better and smiled back. She took hold of her hand and wobbled a lot to get to her feet. When she got her balance, she asked her new friend a question.
" Where's Twilight?"
" She went out with the others to check something out. Come on, lets go. She said she was going toward the stage."
" Um, yeah," the yellow Pegasus girl replied.
They made their way slowly toward the outside stage(since Fluttershy wasn't very good at walking). In the meantime, the Pegasus asked Sunset Shimmer loads of questions about the world they were in.
" Twilight never said that you all had hooves," Fluttershy said. " Or pony ears and pony ethnicities."
She was talking about Sunset Shimmers' horn which meant she was a unicorn.
" Actually..." Sunset Shimmer began." We don't. We don't have any of this in this world. We all have hands and normal ears, and no ethnic pony features like your wings or my horn...This is all because of that storm."
Fluttershy was surprised. " That crazy storm is causing all these beings to become more like ponies??"
Sunset Shimmer nodded and then shook her head. " Only those that are actually ponies and not really humans."
" ...Humans? Is that what these creatures are?" Fluttershy asked.
" Yes."
They were walking across the school yard when they saw lightning and portals in the distance by the stage.
" There! Lets go!" Sunset Shimmer cried and grabbed the other girl's hand.
By the time they got there, students form CHS were all crowded around the confused bunch of pony people. From the look on Twilight's face everything was out of control. Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy stared at the pony people.
" Oh my!" the Pegasus gasped.
Sunset Shimmer was confused. " What in the world is going on here?!?!"
Twilight and the others were on the stage.
" Dear Celestia..." Twilight muttered.
Sunset Shimmer pulled Fluttershy onto the stage.
Fluttershy! You're awake!" the others called.
It was fine and dandy that she was ok but the rest of the ponies were in utter confusion as well as the students that were gathered there.
" Everypony, quiet down!" Twilight screamed over the yelling. " Everypony, please! It's me, princess Twilight, and the Elements of Harmony! If you'd all settle down, I can help you!!"
After a while, they all were listening.
" I know you're all confused and so am I. Just listen to me. We're all in another world, another dimension. You've all been transported to a place where every pony isn't a pony, but a human! That's what you've become right now."
They all murmured and shared their confusion with one another.
" Ok. The Elements of Harmony and I don't know much about what's going on. We will investigate the problem. In the meantime--"
A very familiar face...
The Main six, Sunset Shimmer, and the ponies gasped.
" King Sombra!" Twilight cried.
