Chapters Twilight was over the moon wen she discovered the drawing of the primate creature and tried to find out what it was all she found was urban myths one went as far to say they eat ponies but she did find out who drew the picture it was a pony called Clean Canvas so twilight decided to ask lyra she always talked about things called humans maybe this was one so she trotted over to lyra s' house.
After traversing ponyville twilight arrived at lyra s' house and knocked on the door she herd some crashes and bangs and then the door opened reviling lyra twilight decided to take the initiative and said "hi lyra i herd that you know a lot about weird primates I was wandering if you could help me find out what this thing is" wen she finished she got the drawing out if her saddle bag and chowed it to lyra.
Lyra let out a gasp that sounded like pinkie wen she sees a new pony in town lyra quickly grabbed twilight and dragged her into the house and slammed the door and with the voice of a maniac and an eye twitch "were did you find that did you tell any pony else" she said walking towards twilight.
"in starswril s' journal and your the first pony I've told" said twilight backing away slowly form lyra and suddenly she was right in twilight s' face so close she could see how blood shot lyra s' eyes were.
"you want to know everything about them don't you" lyra said still keeping her insane voice.
"umm yes" twilight said with a nervous smile.
"first you have to promise me that you wont tell any pony about this" lyra said giving twilight a look that could kill a pony twilight just nodded "ok then follow me" lyra said her insanity completely evaporating instead sounding very happy.
They both went up stairs and went into lyra s' room were she ripped up a floor bored and pulled out a large leather covered book twilight felt the cover and ask d' "what is this made of"
"do you want to know" lyra replied simply twilight just kept rubbing the cover lyra sighed and said"I'll tell you later" and with that she opened the book.
Two hours later and twilight learned a lot she could probably rewrite pony history with this it is wen she read a story about the battle of the everfree it seemed that the battle took place in and around the castle of the two sisters before Luna became Nightmare moon so she decided to read the hole story.
Twilight was in the library reading star swirl s' journal she had bean in the same spot for hours going threw what she thinks to be the greatest book ever.
But she did notice that there was a lot of loose paper in the journal but even more to twilight s' dismay some pages were cut out it looked like some pony had gotten scissors and removed some of the pages twilight was quite upset by this potential los of knowledge it is then that spike entered throe the front door and putting some bags on the table in the centre of the room.
"umm twilight you've bean reading for hours you should take a break" said spike with a hint of concern in his voice.
"hmm oh sorry spike I didn't see you come in" twilight said with mild surprise she was planning on continuing for at lest three more hours until she noticed how hungry she was so she trotted over to the kitchen and saying "ok spike I gave myself five extra minute's to have a lunch break can you get me the book on the pre equestrian period".
"ok no problem it should be up here" said spike climbing a ladder to get to the tope shelf and puling out a rather large book so large in fact that it maid spike fall off the ladder right on to the side of the desk twilight had put the journal on and catapulted the journal into the air sending loose papers everywhere.
"oops" spike said looking at twilight with a innocent simile.
"Sigh come on spike lets get cleaning up" she
So they start to clean up the paper twilight with her magic and spike with his claws it is wen spike picks up one of the papers and looks at it and sais "twilight what is this thing" showing the page to twilight.
she looked at what seemed to be a creature on two legs twilight had never seen some thing like this the creature seemed to have some kind of boots on its legs the colour is faded but they seem to be brown on the creatures body there is a t shirt of what seemed to be lots of small metal rings coming out of the end of the mail s' sleeves seemed to be a fabric witch covered the rest of the creatures arms at the end of the arms there are what twilight identified as hands she then realised this creature looks like some kind of primate.
She tried to look at it face but the creatures helmet covered most of its face and the artist seemed two make it so the rest is shrouded but what unsettled twilight was the creatures name Steapa the butcher and next to it there is the date of birth and death the creature apparently died wen celestia was in her late teens but what fascinated twilight the most was below the date of death there was written the battle of the everfree.
Twilight was confused there was never a battle in the everfree forest and definitely not with creatures like this with a voice full of confidence she loudly exclaimed "spike its time to do some research!"
spike let out a disappointed sigh he wasn't going to get any sleep tonight.
chapter 2: vow of vengeance
Going east across the sea to the gryphon kingdom and then north east from there one will find a storm so powerful some of the best flyers and sailors in equestria and the gryphon kingdom have ben killed by it.
It is on the other side of this unnatural storm on the southern cliffs of a land called the kingdom of man by outsiders but the inhabitants call it Rige Mand a man stood looking at this storm the man is in his early twenties with a thin face short brown hair and a goatee.
he all ways liked looking at the storm on the horizon dreaming of enacting the vengeance his ancestor's swore on a land called equestria it is then that he herd a noise behind him he turned around to see his older brother Angus who said in a Irish accent "that blood and brains is not going to disappear by magic" looking down he sees that his brigandine and the mail under it is covered in blood from the raid they did just two hours ago "come on Conall I thaut you looked after your kit better I hope your sword is in better shape" conall not having a tongue walked towards a rock with his gothic style helmet on top of it and lent against it was his grosmasa he picked it up and showed the gleaming blade to his brother.
Conall s' older brother looked like him but had more facial hair and a smaller nose.
At that moment a man with a mail shirt and a nasal helmet sprinted up the hill wen he arrived he quickly said "my lords count tarbh s' men have been spotted coming from the west"
"is everything ready" angus asked
"aye the men know what to do" the man at arms said
angus nodded and looked back at conall and "well about time get the bastard!" and presided to walk down the hill clanking in his gothic style plate armour conall sighed and walked over to the rock with his helmet and put it on adjusting the chin strap and walking down the hill.
