This is Equestria they don’t have Christmas. They have Hearth's Warming.

‘Twas Hearth's Warming Eve and all through the house nothing was stirring not even a mouse.
Well certainly not a mouse! And what if they don’t live in a house? Twilight lives in a tree you know. And she has an owl. So It would be up for sure! Plus it would eat any mouse!

But It was still dark and Ole Saint Nick was still making his rounds. He....
Wait! All wrong! There is not a Santa Claus, a Saint Nick, or whatever you want to call him! No Christmas remember?
True. Huh. But someone has to make the deliveries right? I mean that is the whole point of the story.
Hmm... Right. How about Father Winter or Old Man Winter? I mean I’m not sure if anyone is suppose to do that anyways myself, but he’s sort of a non-Christian universal figure right?

It was still dark as a sleigh made its rounds. It was Old Man Winter delivering gifts well before anyone roused. He wondered and pondered as where to go next, then his mind made up snapped the reins and his team of reindeer pulled the sleigh away.
Hold up! Possible labor violation right here!
How in the bloody hell is that a labor violation?
Aren’t most animals in Equestria sentient?
Well not all of them, but a lot of them are. Don’t tell me the Reindeer are?
I’m sure they would be. And rien snapping would count as brutal work conditions. I mean come on would you want your boss to do that to you?

But it was still dark and a sleigh made its rounds. It was Old Man Winter delivering gifts well before anyone roused. He wondered and pondered as where to go next, then his mind made up he hollered at his team. Then the 8 reindeer hauled the sleigh away. As he flew through the air he looked about. Then soon he spotted his spot and swooped down upon a house.
Hey..
Don’t wanna hear it. I said ‘A’ house.
The sleigh land with a thud. He climbed off his sleigh and trotted about. He spotted the chimney and whinnied in delight. This was to be easy this time he thought. He grab his sack and looked inside. Found the right gifts and put it back. Then he went to the chimney and peered straight down. There was no fire so he jumped and tucked and fell below.
Covered in soot and hacking a bit he stopped to find is breath. Wouldn't you? I mean who’s idea was it to go down the chimney anyways?
He was cleaning his suit and wiping his face, honestly there had to better way, when he heard a small sound. He looked about and saw a small form. It was a foal of course, but why up so late?
“Hello dear child how are you?”
“F-f-ffine Mr, But who are you?”
“I am Old Man Winter you see. I travel around the world and gives to the good.”
“Oh okay..... You better go then... My mom called the cops. She thought you were a burglar”
His eyes went wide in surprise and mumbled a curse to himself. He hoped the child hadn’t heard it or else. He gave them their gifts. They thanked him (and apologized for the cops). He bid them farewell. He then raised his hoof to his head. Somehow poked his eye and up the chimney he went. He climbed in the sleigh and told his team to go now. He wished to leave before the cops showed. He took off into the air and flew through the night.
Then just before the down came he shouted.
“Be Happy. Be Merry. And be a good friend. A happy Hearth Warming to all. I’m out!”
WHAT? Is that it? How can you end it like that!
I gave up and I stopped caring! Your constant whining didn’t help either!
