It was a chilling, dark evening at Sugercube corner. The place was all but empty aside from one lonely table in the darkest corner. There sat a golden haired young woman, quietly sipping away at her coffee, oblivious to the people around her; if any were left. A bell jingled as the door opened, signalling a potential customer. Rose colored eyes darted to the source of the noise, a girl with blue hair walked in and sat on a chair opposite to the other. "You better have a good reason for bothering me, Sonata." The golden haired girl casually spoke without even a hint of anger in her voice. She finished her beverage.

"Adagio, please just listen. I know you're still really mad about the Rainbooms, about what they did, but that was six months ago. Why can't you just let it g--" The most innocent of the three sirens was cut off as Adagio abruptly stood up causing her chair to screech.

"Because, Sonata, unlike you I'm not some weak minded fool that grovels in submission after a simple loss. Do you honestly expect me to forgive those who destroyed my life, my voice?! But of course you wouldn't understand, you're nothing more than the Rainbooms' little plaything, doing whatever they want you to do!" The golden haired girl calmed slightly once she noticed Sonata's eyes on the brink of tears. "If you've came here expecting different results then leave, my answer is still no."

After their defeat, the Dazzlings had split up since they no longer possessed their once beautiful voices. Sonata befriended the girls that once destroyed their pendants, she even managed to persuade Aria to join her. Adagio was left alone, filled with nothing but bitter, crushing hate for everyone that she once considered a friend. Many times Sonata had tried to bring Adagio around but it was all pointless, her pride would always prevent her from changing her ways.

"I'm sorry Adagio. I wish we could still be friends..." Adagio didn't reply, she watched her once fellow siren exit the store, leaving her alone with only her thoughts as company. Adagio sat back down, smirking. Her rose eyes closed, everything around her seemed to slow down. Eyes snapped open glowing an ominous green, the corners of her mouth twisted into a small smile. Adagio may have lost her voice, but she discovered a new way to channel her dark power and with it, she could corrupt almost anyone, bending their will to suit her needs.

Adagio figured that when the Rainbooms destroyed her pendant, they didn't cut off her power, just an outlet. The scheming siren spent her first week with this new ability practicing on small animals. As the months rolled by, she moved on to bigger prey eventually having enough mastery to twist the will of humans with only a single gaze.

Now that Adagio was powerful enough, she could bring a strong willed opponent down, all she needed to do was get close to them; like a parasite leeching off of its host. Deceit seemed to consolidate her new power's efficiency. The siren wanted to ruin the life of the person who ruined hers. She would make them lash out at everyone they had ever cared about until her powers finally seeped into their mind, breaking them, forcing them to think of her and only her. That person was Sunset Shimmer. "Maybe it's about time I forgive and forget... for now at least until I have my own pet." Adagio chuckled to herself, imagining Sunset under her thumb, controlling her every thought, slowly corrupting her. This plan was going to be perfect.

The manipulative siren headed back to her small apartment. The place was dead silent now that Sonata and Aria had moved in with that hyper, pink haired girl. She wondered if they were all laughing at her behind her back; jeering at the rose eyed girl's powerless state. As far as they could tell, she was just a harmless teenager. The siren clenched her jaw at that; soon they would all know the power she possessed once the ex-Dazzling member tears their pathetic, little group asunder. Adagio changed out of her clothes and climbed onto her bed, hoping to get as much sleep as she possibly could, after all, tomorrow was going to be a big day and she was going to need all of her strength.

Sunset Shimmer and her friends (including two sirens) were sitting outside by the Wondercolts statue. They were basking in the warm weather and chatting about all sorts of happenings going on around the school, except Rainbow Dash. She was up to her usual antics and right now, she was in the middle of an intense arm-wrestling competition with Applejack.

Adagio could see it all from the distance where she stood; it was time for her to strike. The golden haired siren confidently strolled towards them, shinning with pride as if the battle of the bands had never happened. The closer she got, the quieter the group became. Once Applejack spotted her, she lost all her focus on the competition and immediately lost to Rainbow Dash, who in turn exclaimed a loud "YES!" at her victory. Sonata and Aria glanced at each other with slight worry painted on their faces. Adagio was now face to face with her mark: Sunset Shimmer.

"Look, I know I'm the last person you want to trust but...I've come to apologize about what happened six months ago, I hope we can put everything behind us, think of it as a fresh new start. All I need is a little push in the right direction and if there's anyone that can help me, it's you, Sunset--"

"Now wait just a darn second, there!" The cowgirl interrupted the rose eyed siren. "Why do you suddenly want to change your ways now, when before you weren't exactly jumping at the chance?" Applejack questioned the suspicious siren, to her this whole situation seemed shady.

"Relax, Applejack, even if she was lying, it's not like she can actually do anything to hurt us, we took away her powers, remember?" The brash, rainbow haired girl pointed out.

Sunset pondered on the siren's request for a brief moment, then spoke her mind. "Well...maybe she really has changed, I mean, you guys all gave me a second chance, so why should we all turn her away? Sure Adagio made a few mistakes in the past but so have I... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I see a bit of myself in Adagio and if we help her out, I'm sure she'll become a good friend in the future." The once antagonist beamed at the siren.

"Ooh I love new friends! Aren't they just the warmest, cuddliest things ever! Come on guys! group-hug!" Pinkie Pie hugged her newest siren friend, almost everyone else joined in, apart from Applejack.

The emerald eyed girl was conversing with Sunset, just out of earshot from the others. "I guess you're right, Sunset but I'll be keeping a close eye on her, just in case she's up to something..." Applejack glared at the suspicious siren who was too busy being hugged by all her new "friends" to notice.

All of them had welcomed her with open arms, aside from that cowgirl, Adagio knew she'd have to be very careful around Applejack or her plan may fail but for now she would enjoy this victory. It's only a matter of time before she'll have Sunset Shimmer under her spell.
