As greater threats rise from within and outside of Equestria, Gearhead must choose whether he will be loyal to the Herd, or to his friends and the Principality of Equestria. He must also choose whether he can afford to hold back and remain an obscure pony standing behind the great feats of the Elemental Six, or to step forward and defend the ponies around him with everything he has. Will he finally earn the right to doff the title of 'Black Sheep?'

This story runs parallel to season 3 of Friendship is Magic, weaving in and out of events viewers will recognize. I will release Chapters every Sunday. In exchange for just one release per week, I am hoping to avoid having a hiatus between books.

From this point on I am adding a couple ways to receive bonus rewards. I will probably refine them as we go. So far they are:
1. 1 bonus new chapter for every 100 unique reads.
2. 1 bonus new chapter or 1 blog entry for every 50 thumbs-up.
3. 1 bonus new chapter or 1 blog entry for every 3 constructive, specific, and helpful comments.
Every milestone will only be applied to The Gear Series full-length stories and its spin-offs, not the short stories. Each milestone is counted as being applied to one story at a time, and not counted collectively. This means that it is possible to get the bonus chapter from 100 reads with First Gear Second Gear, and Third Gear, as has happened before.

Whether I choose a chapter or a blog entry as the reward depends on how close the releases come to the chapter I'm writing at the moment. All bonus chapters will, naturally, be applied to the current Incomplete story. If there's something that needs clarification, please do let me know.
