Professor A. had never had much of an active social following. Where normally, an archaeological expedition supplied by Princess Celestia herself would have quickly formed into a commonly respecful group, he seems to have gotten the worst of luck with what he had been dealt.
Nevertheless, he shall soldier on through the enigmatic temple in the southern backwoods of Equestria in order to stand his own ground once and for all. Professor A. would not be turned away from his life's work neither by the Princess' own sabotage, nor by any hauntings the temple may entail, and not even by the rest of his expedition.
Their chances of success barely surpass that of Nightmare Moon breaking out of her celestial prison. By when his work is done, that particular event may as well lose any sort of significance to the deeply misguided Equestrian land...

Rated Teen for occasional use of very strong language.
Prequel to Sorren's What's Under The Ground. Can easily be read without any knowledge of the sequel, as they intertwine both at the very core... and very fringely. You will see.
