A bright radiant rainbow spectra appeared in the night sky as ponies from all around heard the scream “NOOO!!” from their beloved princess of the night. Consumed in jealousy she was banished as a mare appeared in the moon. The crumbling of leaves is all the ponies of the small village of Everfree heard, as they heard screams from other towns nearby as they were being raided by something that night.
A townspony ran through the little town of Everfree screaming “They're Coming!!!!! They're Coming!!!” before he could say it again, at least 300 colts wearing black cloaks started to enter the town and immediately ordered the town to be encircled.
They had no choice as they were pushed into carts and watched their beloved town burn to the ground. All of the townsfolk were being moved in the dead of night to a location far from home when they got there they were split up by age and sex. They put each one of us in binds and chains made out of copper with bronze pins to keep them in place, and that’s where his story begins.
“My name… is well that doesn’t really matter, now does it? I was assigned 2243 as my number. I remember being shoved into this asylum three, maybe four weeks ago. I really miss my mom and dad but they just vanished. Guards took them away, deeper into the asylum. I don’t know where they went. All I know is, that love them and want to see them again. Finally, I saw the guard who was wearing a full hood, dragon scale armor, and a black tunic, allowed to see my mom again. The guard took me to a lower level of the asylum. The dark asylum was 20 stories down, but it was so dark, I could barely see past the lantern carried by the guards. I saw my mom at the 5th story down. My mom was so happy to see me. We talked a little, but then they told me she needed to go deeper into the asylum for testing, and I could never see her again. That was a sad day. But today's a new day, and the doctor has requested a special visit to see me. I’m so excited. I went with the guards down a seemingly endless hallway. I finally arrived to a dark room where I was ordered to lay down on a table.
“As soon as I laid down clamps snapped shut, so I could not move. The door slammed shut so I could not leave. I saw a figure come in and say 'Welcome young lad, let's check you out.' The doctor opened a box containing operating tools.
"I said, 'Hey doc, I’m not going through surgery, you said it was just a check up so I could go home.'
"The doctor grimly told me 'I lied... Hehehe.' He started to draw a red line on my chest to guide his incision as he pulled down his hood, and I was horrified. The doctors face was pale, his eyes gone, blood dripping from them. His head was half eaten, and he had fangs. The doctor cut me open and then continued to tear me open as soon as that occurred, I saw others like him coming to get me. They all started to crowd around me, ripping and tearing at my guts. Like animals, they pulled my large intestines out. Then they started to stuff their mouths with it and they started biting and chewing it as they made a squishing crushing sound. You could see partially digested food as it oozed out of my torn large intestines. I screamed as I felt blood coming out of my mouth, beginning to feel light headed. They then started to grab my other guts and ripped them out as I faded into darkness all I could hear was the sound of their chewing and the disgusting smell of their rotting flesh.”
In the years leading up to Twilight Sparkle's life, many parts of Equestrian History were lost or forgotten. Legends and myths are what make up most of the folklore in Equestria. But sometimes history is meant to be forgotten. Lost in time, there was a legend called the "Canticle of Lich" or called in Equestrian History the Call of the Infected. The legend states “The one who can obtain the power of Hades can even raise the dead.” To many, it's just an old mares tale, but in reality, it was all true.
Thus, our Story begins with Twilight Sparkle and her friends in her castle, doing what they normally do: sit around a do their own things. Twilight in a soft voice asks her number one assistant, “Spike, can you get me that book over there? Thank You.”
Spike suggestively replies, “I will Twilight, but only if I can spend the rest of the day with Rarity.” The other mane 4 laugh as Rarity blushes in annoyance and acceptance
Rainbow Dash rudely suggests, “Hey, how about you two get a room?”
Rarity angrily shouts, “It’s not like that. We're just friends!” Rainbow Dash and Applejack just roll their eyes and chuckle.
AJ says enthusiastically while chuckling, “ I bet if you give him the chance, he’d go for ya. Ya- hahah, Ya, haha better- pfft, watch yourself. Hahaha.” Rarity blushes in humiliation while Spike just stares at her.
Twilight annoyed replies, “Knock it off guys and Spike you can go just behave yourself.”
Spike nods and says, “ I will. I promise to behave with Rarity.” Pinkie Suddenly out bust screaming in gibberish nopony understands and the other Mane 5 just thought it was Pinkie being pinkie. Fluttershy was just taking care of her little bunny and was just acting her timid self.
Fluttershy says softly, “I’m heading home it’s getting late.” So Spike starts to head off with Rarity to walk her home and the other Mane 5 start to head off when suddenly Spike spits out a letter. The letter was from Princess Celestia it read they needed to head to the Castle immediately.
