The Idea
It was a warm summer day, Ellie sat around her three friends, Serpentine, Fluttershy, and Dragonfeather. She sipped her tea and the only sounds were insects buzzing and the occasional sounds of the ponies' pets. "It's a wonderful day, isn't it?" Said Fluttershy who's sea blue eyes were fixed on a hummingbird buzzing around her yard. "I couldn't agree more." Said Serpentine a pony-dragon hybrid, she had dragon wings and lime green snake eyes, she was light green with a scruffy dark green mane and tail. Her cutie mark was an open book with the bookmark being a snake. "I've got an idea." Said Ellie, slamming her teacup on the table. Fluttershy jumped, but then settled back down quickly. "What is it?" Asked Dragonfeather, a light orange unicorn with a lavender mane, tail, and eyes. Her mane and tail were quite bouncy, her cutie mark was a single green dragon scale. "To find the Bagel Princess." Ellie said, she was a pure white alicorn a little taller than them. Her mane and tail were light blonde and her mane had one pink streak, her cutie mark was a shooting star with a lightning bolt on the back instead on three lines, which ponies usually depicted them as. "Who's that?" Fluttershy asked curiously. "Bagel Princess was Celestia and Luna's third sister, who rose the stars, she slowly went crazy, naming herself 'Bagel Princess' and creating a place called Bagelandia, Celestia gave the powers of the stars to Luna and removed Bagel Princess from the myths because she was no longer relevant, only royalty knows about her, and of course the subjects of Bagelandia." The alicorn explained to her three friends. "What was her old name? And why do we want to find her?" Asked Serpentine, looking up from her book. "Her original name was Princess Arcane and we want to reform her, it might be fun." Ellie said, her brown eyes scanning Dragonfeather's pet dragon. "Princess Celestia said she lives beyond the Everfree Forest, the only non-royalty who has any knowledge of her is Zecora." Ellie motioned the other ponies to follow her, Fluttershy flapping her wings gently and holding on to her tail shaking, was the farthest behind in the group.
