It was a bright summer day in las pegasus,as a light blue pegasus wondered around town"What should i do?" he questioned himself nervously,"I'll never be able to get my cutie mark."said sodapop to himself,Sodapop was a young,thin,light blue pegasus with a royal blue mane and yellow eyes,he was very timid in many situations due to his lack of confidence.When sodapop neared the corner of the street he could hear a loud voice
"Step right up come one,come all!"soda quickly turned the corner to see a crowd gathered a round a traveling merchant.
"That's right we have the answer to the problem for anypony!"once soda got closer he took a look at the merchant,he was a griffon wearing a black pinstriped hat that hid his eyes under the brim,his fur was a wonderful bronze and his feathers appeared to be golden he had a loud booming voice with a confidence that could stare down a manticore.
"You sir what ales you currently?"the griffon pointed to a crimson colored pegasus
"Recently my vision has begin to fail making it incredibly difficult to fly"replied the pegasus
"Well i have just the thing!"the griffon searched through the chest next to him and pulled out a pair of aviator goggles which he tossed to the pegasus,"These beauties will not only make it easier for you too see while flying at high speeds but also slowly enhance your vision,after about a few weeks you'll be able to see clear as day,only for the low low price of 50 bits!"The griffons eyes had lit up knowing that he was about to make a sale.
"Here you are"said the crimson pegasus soon flying away with his goggles on.Sodapop saw this and thought "maybe he can help me with my shyness."soda walked to the front of the crowd"hello sir i have a problem."soda said quitely.
"I'm sorry kid i didn't catch that you'll have to speak up!"said the griffon as he leaned towards soda.
"I have a problem that i would like some help with"soda said without hesitation
"And what would that problem be my friend?"said the griffon with an unusual curiosity.
"My name is soda pop and as you could have guessed from before i have difficulty with speaking could you perhaps help me?"
"It's great to meet ya soda!you can call me Leon and of course i have just the thing!"Leon searched the chest next to him and pulled out a box and opened it revealing the hats stored inside.
"Hats?" soda said scepticaly.
"Not just any hats,enchanted hats these things will be sure to make you act more bold,soda and because you managed to work up the courage to talk to me i'll give em to ya for free!"
Sodas eyes lit up"really for free?"
"Absolutely soda!"he said as he handed the box to soda,as soda began to walk off Leon yelled "Hey you're gonna need the whole set!"Leon took off the black pinstripe hat and threw it to land perfectly on sodas head"Sorry folks that's the last item off the day,be sure to come back tommorow!"leon said as he packed up.
As soda walked home he could feel a confidence burning within him for the first time in a long while soda spread his wings and flew home it was exhilerating being able to fly after such a long time without it"That was so awesome,how did i ever go without doing that?"soda asked himself with his heart racing,when he finaly reached the caravan which he calls home he decided to call it a night"Tommorow i'm going to go out and do something with my life" as soda set down the hats on a shelf he got ready to go to sleep.
When soda had awoken the next day he heard a knowck at the door he soon opened it to find his friend snowball"Goodmorning soda!"snowball said cheerfully.Snowball was a fluffy pony with white fur and red eyes she wasn't quite as fluffy as the others landing her somewhere around the lines of average pony intelligence.
"Snowy it's great to see you hey, could you stay here for a second and let me get something."Soda quickly ran inside and grabed the black hat he was given yesterday as well as two ice cold sodas labled colt cola.
"What's with the trilby?"asked snowball curiosly
"It was given to me by a salesman who said it'd make me more confident and it feels like it's working"soda said as he walked out with the sodas for him and his friend.with a quick movement of his hoof he was able to open the sodas and he handed one to snowball.After drinking the colt cola Soda began to speak"you know snowy that griffon has inspired me to get out there and do something and i know just what i want to do,I want to become a traveling soda salesman!"soda said confidently.
"Soda look!"snowball said excitedly as soda turned he saw a cutie mark apearing on him it was a bottle of uncapped soda.
"Oh my gosh i finally got my cutie mark!"soda said ecstaticly.
"But if you're gonna be a traveling salesman doesn't that mean you'll have to leave town?"snowball asked sadly
"Snowy don't you worry about me leaving if you want to you can come with me even!"soda replied.
"Really?said snowball.
"Of course,i could always use help carrying around the caravan!"

I'll be adding on to this and this is my first story so it's probably not all that great.
