One year has past since Snowdrop and Princess Luna became good friends. There friendship bloomed under the shining stars of night. But evil approches not all from shadows.
The day began like normal Luna was in such a rush "Oh no i over slept again I hope Snowdrop is still waiting?" As Luna entered the garden Snowdrop was sat on the bench looking up at the stars "Luna did you sleep in again?" Luna hevey with her breath "I'm so sorry I only just finished baking the muffins" With a gleam in her eyes Snowdrop said "Its ok as long as your here to listen to the stars with me" Luna smiled then joined her on the bench Snowdrop shivered a little "wow it's cold" Luna looked at her with sadness in her eyes then placed her wing round her and said "Snowdrop.." "yes?" "Thank you for being with me on dark and lonly night's" Snowdrop looked down and smiled then said "no thank you for listening to the stars with me no one should ever be alone" they talked and laughed until morning. Then Snowdrop said "I will come again when the moon rises."
Although Princess Celestia was worry'd if Luna's emotions ever get out of control Nightmare Moon would be released unto Equestria and so the moon rose again but Snowdrop never arrived. Luna waited thinking 'Has she grown tired of being my friend?'. Then suddenly, a letter came addressed to her and it was from Snowdrop's mother asking "Have you seen Snowdrop recently? She never came home last night and I'm worried about her." Luna then dropped the letter on the gravel beneath her and then took off in a search to find Snowdrop. After hours of searching, she found Snowdrop, albeit greatly injured, in a cave. Luna was almost in tears when she arrived. She managed to mumble out "What...What happened to you?". As Luna was about to move Snowdrop, a voice came out of the depths of the cave. "Don't move her! She has a broken back!". Luna, with demand in her voice, said "Who did this to her?!" the only reply to this relevant question was "Rogue changlings." With shock in her eyes, Luna said "I thought that they all died out when they were exiled from Canterlot, right?". As a figure emerged from the shadows, the voice said "no we were only exiled but we have survived but some have gone insane." Luna Prepared to fight As a high powered changling came forward and said " i am Princess Chrysalis. don't be afrade I'm not violent only the rogue ones are. I will ask you will you help me get this pony to canterlot?" Luna agreed to help. As they were leaving the area they were ambushed by Changelings. Chrysalis dropped snowdrop and fired a form of magic towards Luna. It instantly passed her and hit a changling behind her Luna summoned her sword and began to fight the changlings. Luna asked "are you ok with killing your own people."
With an angered look on her face, Chrysalis said "They are no longer under my control. Their minds and sanity are gone. Death is a gift to them". After defeating them Chrysalis said "We should move fast. Changelings never travel alone". As they reached the outskirts of Canterlot, a changeling jumped Luna. Chrysalis shouted to Luna "Look out!". As she got int he way, she was placed unconscious. Luna decimated the changeling then she placed Snowdrop onto her back and used magic to carry Chrysalis. As they entered Canterlot, Luna placed Snowdrop and Chrysalis into medical care.
Three days passed and both made a quick recovery according to the doctors. Snowdrop's back was only fractured. Luna invited both to the castle to have an audience with Celestia. As Snowdrop entered the throne room, Celestia asked "Are you recovering well from your injuries? Luna has not spoken to me of the events until you were released. What hapened out there?" Snowdrop stuttered a little "Well Luna and Chrysalis said that there were changelings". Celestia was instantly shocked, they were this close to Canterlot. She then asked "Who is this Chrysalis you speak of?" Snowdrop lit up and then said "She's our friend who saved me the first time." Celestia replied "I would like to thank this pony, Luna would you bring her here?". With delight, Luna replied "Sure!". As Luna entered with Chrysalis, Celestia had a sickened look on her face and instantly slapped Chrysalis across the face, sending her halfway across the room and instantly replied with "Consider that your warning you disgusting creature. Now get out!" Chrysalis, almost in tears, "But wh-" Celestia interrupted her "Your kind have no right to be here! Now guards! remove her from Canterlot."
Instantly, guards entered the room "Yes Princess" they both said in disgust. Looking down on Chrysalis, Celestia ordered the guards to execute Chrysalis by saying "Kill this monster!". Luna screamed "NO!" Celestia then said "Remove her from this room until this is all over." Soldiers then began to drag Luna out of the chamber. Chrysalis was then forced to active her magic to protect Luna. Celestia then picked up her spear and threw it toward Chrysalis. Everything then went silent then Luna then screamed "No...No Snowdrop!" Snowdrop had gotten in the way of the spear and it had pierced her chest. Suddenly, is if it were instant, she collapsed onto the ground. Luna ran toward Snowdrop's side and said "No... Snowdrop it's OK, you're going to be fine... OK". Luna began to cry. Snowdrop said to her "Luna I'm cold are we out side... are we listening to the stars.. Luna i cant hear them I can't hear the stars" Snowdrop's eyes closed with tears in her eyes Luna Sreamed as a dark tornado of power encased her and the castle began colapsing. Suddenly as the tornado dispersed nightmare moon appeared.
Luna was lost in pain and anger as she said "Sister I will make you pay for what you have done to snowdrop" Luna's power was so intence it paced Chrysalis unconscious. Then Nightmare moon summoned her scyth and began to walk towards Celestia but remained scilent Celestia Summoned her spear pulling it from snowdrops corpse. Nightmare moon screamed "don't you touch her!" then charged at her. As the fight began the night and day became one in an eclipse . The battle to the skys as they attacked one another Nightmare moon ripped Celestia's wings from her back and shattered her into the ground. As Nightmare moon was about to take off Celestia's head it began to snow. Nightmare moon stopped and began to cry then transformed back into luna and said to Celestia "if you ever return to canterlot I will finished what was started here" Celestia fled the lands in fear of her sisters power and vanished along with the sun.
After the battle a year has passed Luna now has full control of her emotions and her nightmare. She now rules over all of equestria in peace with Chrysalis at her side and once a year when the snow falls they both sit in the garden and listen to the stars for snowdrop will be with them as friends of eternal night. Even light has hidden shadows
