Pinkie's hair deflated a bit more as she watched Celestia. Celestia finished chewing and opened her eyes slightly, looking at Pinkie with half lidded amethysts.
"I need more. Your cakes have such an addictive and unique taste." Celestia half smiled. "I especially love the vanilla frosting." Pinkie glanced up at Celestia irritably.
"Don't you even want to try my special cupcakes?" Pinkie asked, casting her eyes down. Celestia looked down at Pinkie from her throne, her hair flowing faster in irritation.
"No. I would like more of your cake. Only that. Made specially with your recipe, obviously." Celestia spoke firmly. Pinkie's hooves shuffled across the floor quietly as she shrunk back and looked down.
"A-about that... I don't think..." Celestia narrowed her eyes silently as Pinkie protested. "B-but you don't know what I..." Pinkie glanced at Celestia's glare and shrunk under her hair, stopping mid-sentence.
"The cakes, Pinkie Pie." Celestia quietly said. "Those are what I am requesting." Pinkie slowly nodded and trotted out of the castle with her head hung low. Pinkie squinted against the bright light as Celestia teleported her to Ponyville.
"She won't even TRY my cupcakes. I work so hard on them! Everypony else likes them..." Pinkie cut herself off. "Well, ALMOST everypony. And why is she being such a meanie to me? It's like she doesn't want to be my friend anymore!" Pinkie's hair became more deflated. "Not like she'd want to anyway! All high and mighty on her throne! She wouldn't care if I walked off a cliff into a spike filled pit!"
Pinkie, eyes narrowed and hair straight, trotted into Sugarcube Corner and headed for the basement. "You know what? I don't even CARE if she wants to be my friend!" A streak of blood red colored batter splashed on Pinkie's face as she beat the mix furiously and continued ranting. "And I don't want to make her awful, terrible cakes anymore!"
The cake pan filled with the bloody looking mixture. Pinkie slammed the pan into the oven to cook. "If she only knew what my secret ingredients were, she would never have me bake her a cake again! And the icing" -Pinkie started whipping a bone white cream together - "Well, she would lose it if she knew what it was!"
A few minutes later, the timer started ringing. Pinkie pulled the cake out and started icing it after it had cooled. "Ugh, not again..." Pinkie swirled the icing around the top of the cake. "This icing is too thick still! I need to find a way to thin the ingredients." Pinkie pulled the cake box onto her back and trotted outside to be teleported.
A bright light enveloped Pinkie, and she dropped down in front of Celestia and Luna. Celestia levitated the box away from Pinkie and started eating again.
"How do you make this, Pinkie?" Celestia munched on Pinkie's cake. "I love the crunchiness of the icing!" Luna looked at the blood red cake, and a terrified and dizzy look came over the poor mare's face.
"It has something to do with the super redness of the cupcakes... And there's something you don't know about that white icing too." Celestia looked at Pinkie, confused as Pinkie continued. "The cake is so red because... b-because I add extra red to the red velvet! The icing is cream cheese flavored, not vanilla, and it has rock candy in it!" Luna gasped in relief and slid down in her throne.
"I thought it was something else." Luna put a hoof to her forehead and continued. "But Pinkie is not evil. A bit strange, but not a lunatic!" Suddenly, Pinkie burst into Luna's face.
"Wanna bake cupcakes? It's really easy!" Pinkie jumped up and down hopefully. Luna opened her mouth for a no, but Celestia nodded her consent and teleported Pinkie and Luna to Sugarcube Corner's basement. "And I was running out of red juice for my red velvet cakes anyways," whispered Pinkie. Luna felt something hit the back of her head and was out like a light.
Luna awoke into darkness, enveloped in a cold sweat. Her heavy pants were the only sound she heard, other than the beating of her heart. "It was just a dream!" She tiredly exclaimed. Luna let her head fall back onto her soft, warm... *Clang* "Ouch!!" Luna cried out in pain as her head fell upon a steel table. She tried in vain to get up, but was securely fastened to the table. Luna could feel her heart pushing blood through her veins. Suddenly, she heard somepony quietly singing into her ear.
"Nighttime is fun time for those who sneak and play." Luna's heartbeat increased as the voice sang slowly. "It's the time of playfulness for those who hate the day." The voice continued eerily. "As your darkness unfurls, showing its true spirit," The voice became deeper, "You can't scream or hide from it, it comes in a fit." The voice warbled on. "All the fun happens in the deepest dark." The voice came closer, and Luna flinched as somepony's lips brushed against her ear. "Everypony parties but the ones who no longer have a heart."
The voice moved from her ear, slithering like a snake. Luna felt a cold steel blade sliding down her chest slowly. "So what about it?" The voice giggled as a single light snapped on and shone down on the twitching face of Pinkie. "Wanna be heartless like your sister?"
Luna screamed as she felt the knife digging into her flesh and muscle, revealing a rib bone. "Oh!" Pinkie gasped. "Just the right shade of white for the icing! Maybe alicorn bones are softer and sweeter..." The last thing Luna heard as the now warm from her body heat knife plunged into her heart was a single, happy voice. "Ooh! So much yummy red juice! Perfect."
