"And then Spitfire came in and beat them all!" Rainbow Dash imitated the soccer ball going through the net. The Wonderbolts were her favorite soccer team, but that's all I knew about them. I wasn't into sports. I focused mainly on my singing. It came back months ago, but I still couldn't use my powers. Not that I haven't tried. I wished I could. But then again, I wouldn't have had my Sunny. Oh my Sunny...
"Yes, it was quite the darling little game." Rarity said, not really paying attention to the conversation, just painting her nails. I liked that purple. Purple was always a nice color. So soft yet edgy at the same time...
"Earth to Sonata!" Aria whipped her face in front of mine. I shook my head and blinked. "Huh, what?"
Rainbow Dash groaned and Aria scowled. "I asked, why did you guys miss the game?" Rainbow's dad managed to snag front row seats and wanted to get his money's worth. I didn't want to reveal the real reason why I didn't go, so I just answered "Busy." Aria just shrugged and went back to arguing with Rainbow about who was better: The Wondercolts or The Shadowbolts. The only person who was as passionate about soccer as Rainbow was Aria. While Adagio, Aria, and I got our singing voices back, we also found other hobbies. Mine was art, Aria's was sports, and Adagio, poetry.
I would have gotten away with my excuse, if it weren't form the idiot known as Pinkie Pie. People would think that I would like her, but I don't. It's sort of like we're enemies made for eachother. Just like Adagio and Rarity, and Aria and Rainbow Dash. Though none of their dislike compares to my hatred.
"Sunset didn't come either! Coincidence or nah?" Pinkie pratically screamed.
"No coincidence! No coincidence at all!" I said, to make the whole idea seem ridiculous. But I failed. I made the mistake at looking at Sunset. She didn't say anything. She hated lying, now that she was reformed.
"Ooh, tell us what happened, Darling!" Rarity stopped paying attention to her nails and focused on us.
"If that's all right with you..." Fluttershy mumbled.
"Ah'm quite curious myself, Sugarcube."
"Nothing happened!" I yelled.
But it was too late. Sunset had already spoken, softly but just loud enough for us to hear.
"We went on a...date."
Gasps filled the air. Six voices spoke all at once.
"I need to throw a 'Sunset and Sonata Are Dating Party!'"
"I WANT ALL OF THE JUICY DETAILS!!!"
"...yay..."
"That just made this day 20% cooler."
"Sonata, ya big dope, why didn't you just tell us?"
"Well, Ah was not expectin' that."
Then Adagio's angelic voice cut through. "Stop!" She made a mad face. Was she going to judge us?
"Excuse them, they're idiots. I knew it all along. And no one but me saw it coming?"
I gaped at her.
"It was SOOO obvious from day one that you liked her." Adagio pointed at Sunny. Then she turned around, facing the rest of
"Don't make them uncomfortable." She slung her bag pack over her shoulder and left. That's just how Adagio Dazzling rolled.

I've finally done it. I've finally asked Sonata out on a date. We've known each other for almost for a year now. Ever since she and the rest of the Dazzlings came and begged for forgiveness. To be honest, I never liked people who treat you like your dirt and then once you one up them, BAM! Suddenly they are your friend. Heh, I'm not one to talk. Sonata would never do that, though. She's so sweet, she would never manipulate you. Sure, she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but hey! Who really cares?
Earlier that day...
"Hey Sonata! Wait up!" Sunset cried as she spotted the blue-haired siren. Sonata turned around, smiling.
"Hiya, Sunny!" Sonata exclaimed. "You look nice in that necklace!"
"...Sonata, it's a scarf."
"Oh right!"
Even if Sonata had gotten it wrong, Sunset blushed at the compliment. She wasn't prepared for what she wanted to ask. Silence filled the air. Sonata was going to hate her. Sunset didn't know why she even bothered thinking about it.
"Well, Sunny, it was nice seeing you! I got to g-" Sunset interrupted Sonata mid-sentence. "I was w-wondering..." she stammered as her face became as red as her hair. "Doyouwanttogooutonadatewithme?"Sunset blurted out. She was so stupid! Sonata sure was going to turn her down after hearing that pathetic try.
"Silly Sunny! 'Doyouwanttogooutonadatewithme' is not a word!" Sunset just blushed for the third time that day.
"Oh. OH!!!" Sonata realized. "Uh...sure? Let's meet here tonight at...6?" Sunset nodded. She was too shocked that the former villain actually agreed to say anything.
Then Sonata turned around and ran away...
I had been standing at the place we agreed to meet at for half an hour when Sonata finally appeared. She wore the dress she wore at the Musical Showcase. I looked down at my sweatshirt and ripped jeans in disgust and embarrassment.
"Sorry," she apologized. "I was reading on 'dates' and the book said 'When going fancy, everything is dandy!'" I laughed for what must have been 3 minutes. "It's okay," I said, wiping a tear from my eye that fell down when I was laughing. "You don't have to you know?" Sonata looked bewildered.
"Just forget about it." I told her. We started walking. Silence drifted into the air, and I started breathing in the awkwardness.
"So what'cha wanna do?" I asked. Sonata shrugged and looked down and her feet.
"How 'bout some hot cocoa?" Her ears perked up a bit, and she gave a half-second sideways glance. I giggled. I knew her too well to know she would not say no to hot cocoa.
We headed toward Sugarcube Corner. But when we got there, there was a big, fat "CLOSED!" sign on there.
"Closed?!" I screamed. Sonata touched my shoulder, and I calmed down.
"Let's just go to StarBuckers." She suggested. It took a while, but we got there. StarBuckers was very crowded, so after our very big wait, we just sat down on a cold, park bench. I sipped my hot cocoa, slowly while she gulped her's down in a minute. I chuckled.
"What?" Sonata asked.
"You got a little..er..."
"What?!"
"Whipped cream mustache." I wiped it off. But after I finished, Sonata caught my arm. She looked into my eyes.
And she kissed me. I never really cared for romance movies where they went on and on and I sure as HECK never kissed Flash like this. But it was amazing. When we stopped, I looked her in the eyes in said "Let's do it again."
And we did it again.
And again.
And Again.
