The Kiss of Life

Winter was at hand. Everyone was dressed up, ready to approach the big fir in the center of Ponyville. Everyone tried to get their picture taken next to the big tree. There was a large crowd all around the tree, because Ponyville had the largest fir-tree in all of Equastria, and the fir was approached with ponies even from Canterlot. Ponies from Sweet Apple Acres were there too. Everyone had blushful cheeks from the coldness outside. Everyone walked around visiting the decorated shops all around the center of Ponyville. Most of the ponies had smiles on their faces and warm clothes. The ponies were really nice to each other, greeting everyone they walk by. The big fir-tree was decorated with angels and candles, with colorful balls hanged on it. The tree also had large and small beads that went all around it. It was already dark outside and the stars were shining all around the sky.

Rarity walked around the center of Ponyville. She was enjoying the nice, cool air and looking at fashion shops. The fashion shops contained such beautiful winter clothes that Rarity couldn't deny to go in the fashion shops. She only bought two clothes, because the clothes were expensive. She put on one of the clothes. It was this red jumper, that fit her style just perfectly. Now walking around she saw more and more ponies paying attention to her beatiful clothing. Her best friends were near a corner just sitting down and chatting about something. Rarity wanted to meet her friends, as she wasn't near them for 2 days, while she was at Canterlot looking for the perfect clothing.

''Hello!'' Rarity said.

Her friends quickly looked at her to see her. All of them had this gasp. Rarity just keeped staring knowing that the gasps were from her cool style. All friends looked the same except... Applejack. She had this nice, big smile, sparkly green eyes, blushful cheeks, that certainly blushed more then her friends. Rarity just took this as a coincidence and just keeped staring at her friends.

''Come, sit down, Rarity,'' Twilight said to her.

''Okay,'' Rarity replied gently.

Time went on as they keeped on talking. Time went on as Rarity started to ignore everything that they were saying. She just stopped thinking. She couldn't stop staring. Those eyes, were so beautiful, that voice, so kind, lovely. The yellow hair, just like gold. She was just... perfect. Then one moment Applejack looked at her confusly. Rarity just quickly looked away like nothing had happened. She just ignored the fact, that Applejack was the one she was looking at.

Soon people went to their homes to get their good night sleep, as it was already late. The friends also started seperating to go to their home. All but two went the same direction. This was no coincidence. And this is what actually happened:

Once the friends started seperating Rarity decided to talk with Applejack. She waited until no one could see them alone. She was still thinking about this. She didn't want to go too far, but she didn't have any ideas either. She just stopped, thinking that she would stop time somehow to get some minutes to just think about this. She quickly just exerted her brain to quickly make this possible.

''Hmm... think faster, Rarity! Why can't I do this,'' Rarity struggled in her brain, ''what am I even thinking about! This could be so simple! But wait! No! Oh... why do I think so badly!''

Rarity just kept on struggling with her thinking. She didn't realize that Applejack was slowly starting to walk away. She made her brain think so fast that she herself couldn't process what it was saying. She gathered so much information, but in her head she denied every request from it. Then her bulb just lightened up. She had it.

''Ah! I got it! Why don't I take her to watch the stars for instant?'' she fastly thought.

Rarity kept this idea and used it on Applejack.

''Applejack!'' Rarity said.

Applejack turned around wondering what Rarity was doing, or going to say.

''Um, yes, Rarity?'' She asked confusly.

Rarity was about to say her sentence, but then she realized.

''W-Wait... I can't just make her go on like a date now... I need to make this sentence sound different.. how about... no... ah... another idea!'' Rarity struggled to make her brain think fastly, getting the answer she needed as fast as possible.

''Umm... Applejack... I wondered if you can come with me... I just need to um... show you something,'' she said to Applejack, nervously.

''Well... um... okay, if yah need so'' Applejack replied, still in confusion.

They both went to the place were Rarity thought would be perfect. The place was near a tree on a hill. She imagined both of them sleeping looking at the stars, oh, that moment would be perfect for Rarity. While walking up the hill, Rarity was in front of Applejack. Applejack was curious so she asked:

''Well... where are we going?'' Applejack asked curiously.

''Right here up the hill,'' Rarity answered thinking that this could not be good for Applejack.

Awkward silence begun to come again as they both still walked up the hill. Some times Rarity looked at Applejack, to see if she didn't walk away. Applejack at the same time started to think, of where could Rarity be taking her, but she couldn't speak, as she was just curious and still follow Rarity. Every time Rarity looks at her, Applejack doesn't want her to look away. Those blue eyes were so beautiful. Applejack had never noticed that Rarity was so kind and nice for her. That she was so beautiful. Applejack just shook her head, to get the weird thoughts away from her.

At the top of the hill Applejack noticed the big tree. She just looked around the nature.

''So, what did ya want to tell me?'' Applejack asked.

''I know this may sound weird... but I just want us to... spend more time together... well just for fun... so I decided that we could lay down and look at the stars,'' Rarity explained, scared and nervous.

Applejack wanted to agree, but then she just had this weird ''BOOM'' or realization in her mind that marked that she had just spoked something, or just realized something. Her eyes just spinning concentrating to process the information she just got. Only the weirdest thoughts came to her mind. The thoughts went like this:

''Does Rarity like me? Does Rarity like me? Does Rarity like me?'' and the same thought went on and on. But she thought that this only could be true as Rarity just randomly asked Applejack to go with her. She only kept that idea and nervously tried to agree to what Rarity said. She herself didn't know what's going to happen so she just wanted to try it out.

''Uhm... okay...'' Applejack replied nervously.

Rarity laid down on the grass waiting for Applejack to join her. Applejack just kept her neutral weird smile and joined Rarity. Awkward silence begun again. They just kept on looking scared to say anything to each other.

Rarity secretly looked at Applejack to see her. She was just laying down looking at the stars. Rarity could notice that she was nervous, but at the same time pleased. Rarity was nervous at what she will do next. She just thought of this idea to just stop thinking and let everything handle itself.

30 minutes had already passed. Applejack was getting bored as nothing had been happening. She atleast thought Rarity would say something, but she said nothing. Applejack was almost ready to say that it's late and she has to go, but once ready to say the sentence Rarity looks at Applejack and speaks:

''Look... the stars are... beautiful... just like you...'' Rarity quietly whispers.

Applejack just stopped. Her cheeks just set on fire... the cheeks just went so red, like they were tomatoes. This was no anger. Or nothing else bad. This was a good sign and Applejack noticed that herself. She was too scared and too nervous to admit her feelings to Rarity, but just laying down and saying nothing wouldn't be a solution either. Rarity at the same time, waited for Applejack to say something. As she thought that everything will handle itself slowly started to fade away. Why? Applejack didn't say anything. And Rarity didn't know why. Rarity just sat there, waiting for Applejack to say something... anything... but nothing happened.

''What is going on!?'' Applejack thought, ''should ah admit mah feelings to her or not say anything...''

''Why is Applejack not saying anything? She should've already done something!'' Rarity thought too.

Time passed. For few minutes it was just real awkward silence. Applejack finally spoke:

''Well uhm.... the thing is.... that... well just... agh... so then...'' Rarity started to lose hope, but she still waited.

''Rarity... so Ah.... wanted to say... agh... forget it, I need t-'' just before Applejack finished her sentence of saying that she had to go, something unbelievable happened. That warm feel. Everything was perfect. Applejack was so pleasured that she wanted this feeling to happen for all of her life. The feeling was... a kiss. The kiss was so good, that Applejack returned it right after Rarity let go of Applejack's lips. It tasted so good. It was just Rarity, but in this perfect way. Rarity didn't think that Applejack could had returned the kiss but it happened. Such taste... that warmth of both ponies together was perfect. After the kiss was done, they both snuggled together, smiled at each other.

''Ah never thought Ah could say this... but... Ah think Ah love you,'' Applejack said in this gentle pleasured voice.

''And I certainly love you too,'' Rarity replied, pleased, that Applejack finally said that.

''And Ah'd never would've said this to anyone, but... I want us to be together... for a long time... all the time... for the rest of our lives... Ah just love you so much...''

''And I wish we could spend all of our lives together too, darling. I wish this relationship would never end, that we would protect each other, wouldn't let each other get hurt. Love each other forever,'' Rarity replied, with tears of happiness in her eyes, glad that she finally has her special somepony. And to hear that this special somepony would had spent their life together with her, is just something Rarity will never forget.
