Fluttershy's Complicated Relationship with a Great White Shark
It was just another Sunday night in Ponyville. No problems, everything was nice and relaxing, which meant the perfect date night for Fluttershy. Some may wonder, how did the shyest pony build the courage to ask out somepony, well... it wasn't a pony she was going on a date with, Fluttershy was about to go on a date with Walter, the Great White Shark that lives out in the ocean about 10 minutes away from Ponyville. No pony knew about her relationship yet, but she knew that if they found out it wouldn't be an easy ride. After preparations were completed, she disembarked to find out where Walter was at the specific moment. With everything ready, she rushed off to the bay to meet up with Walter.
After ten minutes of walking Fluttershy finally made it to the bay. She looked around making sure no pony was near by to see her take off in the row boat. After she confirmed the coast was clear Fluttershy made her way towards the boat. As she reaches the boat Fluttershy sees Walter's fin in the distance.
"Ah good, he knows I'm coming for a visit, better not keep him waiting," Fluttershy whispered to herself. She began to row out into the sea. It was a good night for a visit, the waves were smooth and easy, it was quite warm out, and no pony was out in the area with her. The smell of fresh salt water filled the air. It was the perfect night for love, and Fluttershy was not going to give up the opportunity. Walter swam toward the small row boat, splashes of waves flew into the air.
Fluttershy waved her hoof in the air, signaling Walter to travel to the side of the row boat. The Great White did as he was told to and swam over.
"Oh Walter, its so great to see you once again," Fluttershy cheered in her soft voice. Walter just replied with a simple growl of sorts.
"You're such a charmer..." she whispered, still being shy as ever. The shark just stared up into Fluttershy's light blue eyes with such wonder. Walter didn't care for much in life, but Fluttershy was different. She was special to him, she wasn't just another creature that equaled his next gourmet meal.
"Walter, wouldn't be nice if you could talk... I mean... if you would want to," she stuttered. Walter loved that about Fluttershy, her timid personality and he shy smile. It was perfect in his mind.
"I... um... brought you some food... if you want it." Walter once again replied with more groans and growls. She tossed some of her homemade meals into the water. The food itself wasn't meat, since Fluttershy could not stand to feed anything that was once an animal, so she created a dish that was good enough for Walter. He did not devour any other fish while Fluttershy was around, because he knew it would break her weak heart. Walter had to look after his lover, because he knew that Fluttershy was the one for him.
"Oh Walty, I am so happy ever since I met you, even my friends have noticed my increase in joy," she rambled on to the shark, "I wonder when it will be the right time to tell the others..." The shark groaned some more, trying to get Fluttershy to realize that he was telling her to admit it to Fluttershy's friends. He thought the other ponies had to know, or it would just become even more complicated, as if it wasn't already.
"I hope your groans and growls mean yes, because tomorrow I am going to tell them!" she exclaimed in her soft voice. This lite up Walter's spirit, he was so happy that their relationship would become public and that everypony would know that the Element of Kindness was his lover.
The next morning Fluttershy stopped by each of her her friends houses and asked for them to meet her at the cottage. An hour passed an the six were gathered at the cottage.
"So, Fluttershy, what did you need to tell us?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, is it something super duper important?" Pinkie Pie asked as she bounced around the room.
"It... um.... it is important..." Fluttershy replied sheepishly.
"Come on now darling, just say it, we won't judge you," Rarity replied.
"Alright then, um... I found.... uh, I am.... in.... uh...."
"Come on Fluttershy!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash, "Just say it already, just like Rarity said, we won't judge you!"
"I've in love..." With this said the entire cottage fell into a dark silence for a few seconds. Applejack was the one who decided to break the silence.
"Well that's great sugarcube!" she said with cheer, "Who is the lucky stallion?"
"Um... well... he's not a stallion."
"Well is he a zebra or a griffon?" asked Twilight.
"No... um... his name is Walter.... and uh... he is a... um..." Fluttershy continued to stutter.
"He's a what?" Rarity questioned.
"He's a Great White Shark..." Fluttershy whispered. Once again, the cottage fell into silence, an awkward silence at that.
"You know what, if Walter makes you happy Fluttershy, then we'll support you," Twilight said as she broke the silence. The other ponies just nodded in agreement.
"Are you... are you being serious?" Fluttershy asked timidly, "I know you're my friends, but isn't shocking?"
"Well yeah.... but that doesn't matter in the slightest," replied Rainbow Dash, "You see, I bet Walter is an awesome guy!" The others just nodded.
The five friends continued to comfort Fluttershy. After the get-together ended; with Fluttershy's new built courage, she left during the sunset to propose to Walter. The rest of her time was spent well, the other ponies in the town learned about the relationship. Though at first it made them uncomfortable, but eventually it was shrugged off and everything went perfectly well. Fluttershy and Walter ended up officially married, and spent their honeymoon in Hoofwaii.
Author's Note
Yep... I actually wrote this... I can't believe myself. If you want to know why, I was playing AC4 while talking to my friend and we started joking around about how he had a love interest towards Great White Sharks. Then I just decided to turn it into a fanfiction. Unique way of coming up with an idea, isn't it? I also wrote this improvising, no rough draft, just a final copy, I hope you enjoyed.
Short Chapter: Hearts and Hooves for Walter
Walter has been married to Fluttershy for a few weeks now, which was perfect, since they spend their first Hearts and Hooves day together. He was prepping for his special day with his special somepony whilst he watched the shore, waiting for his lover to show up. She promised him that she would appear in a few hours, so he just waited, and waited.
Fluttershy was also prepping for her special day, even though she would visit the Great White everyday; Fluttershy thought it would be a great idea to treat Walter to a special meal she made for him. I hope he enjoys it... Fluttershy continued to ponder this nervously. Of course he would, he is my husband... even if he doesn't, it won't end up in any trouble, or would it? These thoughts continued to pressure the shy pegasus, but she continued her cooking, trying to not let the thoughts get to her.
It was now 5:00 PM, which was the time Fluttershy was supposed to row out to Walter's general swimming spot, but alas, she did not. This saddened the shark, but he continued to believe that his beloved one would return to him very soon, and he was correct. Walter monitored the shore and saw the pegasus on her usual row boat, rowing out to him.
"Walter!" she cheered, "I hope you enjoy this meal, I made it just for you, it is Hearts and Hooves day after all." She released a small basket into the water. Inside was a carefully packaged meal, specifically made of the produce Walter came to enjoy, has he would not eat other sea life in front of Fluttershy. The Great White chomped down on the basket, eating it as well as the food inside.
"Oh my," Fluttershy quietly said, "The basket doesn't matter too much, as long as you enjoyed your special meal." The shark replied in his usual happy groan, as Fluttershy claimed.
"I love you Walty," said Fluttershy, as she bent down to hug his fin.
I love you too, my dearest. Walter thought as he sounded out more of his "happy" groans.

Welp, its been three days since I released this, and it turns out that it was Valentine's day, so I decided that I would write a small little bonus chapter for the special day.
