Chapter 2 (edited)

Looking at the creature before him, Victor waves. He assumed from the feminine dress and stature that he was dealing with a female. Standing up, he brushed some pieces of grass and flower petals off his white scrubs, causing the grass stains to spread. Shrugging, he began to carefully walk over to the woman. Looking down at her, he could tell she was slightly frightened by him or utterly confused. After all he was the only one of his kind that he knew of. After getting to be two feet away he coughed slightly into his hand before speaking to the frightened mare. "Hello! My name is Victor. I was hoping you could tell me where I could find my benefactor?"

"W-w-what are y-y-you?" She asked shyly, trying to shirk away. Minding the scared woman, he decided he was too close to her.

"Well... I am a Draconian." He said, taking a large step back.

"Draconian?"

"Yes, that is what I am, being half dragon..." He trailed off for a moment before continuing. "Look, I do not want to hurt you, I am just lost."

"O-o-o-oh who's this benefactor that you're looking for?"

"Well his name is Discord. He helped me out when I needed it most. I would love to explain but its been a long day for so I was wondering do you know anywhere I could sleep a few hours?"

"Um..." The mare trailed off, trying to think. "No, not really."

"Oh okay. I guess I'll try finding a cave or something." Victor said turning around. He began to walk when he felt something tap his shoulder turning his head he saw the holding a stick and poking his arm slightly raising an eyebrow he said "Yes miss?"

"U-u-um y-y-you could stay at my house for a little bit..." her shy nature causes her to fall silent momentarily. "A-after all, I know your benefactor a little and a way to contact him."

"Really?! That's great thank you miss...?"

"F-f-fluttershy." The girl mutters under her breath. Smiling, Victor nodded catching her name thanks to his draconian ears. Noticing she was carrying a large sack, decided to help.

"Do you mind If I carry that for you? Its probably really heavy."

"N-n-no its fine I-"

"Fluttershy, Correct?" She nods. "Okay then. Consider it a repayment for letting me stay at your home... In addition to this, any help you may need could be my rent to you until I can find a job and get settled."

"B-b-but-"

"I won't take no for an answer." Victor said, bending over. He picked up the bag with ease. Smiling, he motioned for Fluttershy to show him the way. Slowly nodding, she began to show the half-dragon to her house "This is a rather large bag of food. Do you care for animals?"

"O-oh, yes. I-i-i ran out of animal food and n-needed more."

"Oh. So what kinds of animals are you feeding with this?"

"Oh a few rabbits, a hamster, guinea pigs, and some ferrets. But the dogs need food, same with the birds, bears, and OH Angel needs some vegetables also!"

"Wow! You have a lot of animals! Do you take care of them by yourself?"

"Why yes I do and I love them all very much and they love me. W-what about you Victor? do you have an animal friend?"

Looking away, Victor remembered a bird he had found inside the facility during the few times he was allowed to walk around. It was a small red bird with a dull orange beak he had named Root. He only had the bird for a few days before the scientists took him away and... did something with him. Doing his best to erase the grimace on his face, he turned to Fluttershy and said "No, I haven't. Maybe you could help me find one?" Those words had an instantaneous effect on the yellow female.

"That sounds wonderful! Maybe we can find one for you!" She exclaimed excitedly.

Looking up at him, he easily dwarfed Fluttershy by a good two feet and from what she could tell, he stood around 7'' 4 in height but seemed like more of a gentle giant than a brute. When they had been discussing pets Fluttershy noticed a sullen look come across Victors face before his smile returned but it somehow felt forced. looking forward, she saw her small cottage come into view. She stopped and turned to Victor. "Um, Victor? Once we get to the door could you wait outside for a few minutes while I let the animals know you'll be staying with us? If that's alright with you."

"Sure Fluttershy. I don't want to spook them."

"Okay lets go." She said. Walking up to the door, she motioned for him to stay while she went inside. Staying still, Victor looked around, seeing the green grass, the unfiltered air without the taste of metal and cleaning solutions. The best of all was simply being outside. Not like in the garden that they set up with a giant glass dome, but the actual outside! Smiling, he became eager to see rain, rainbows, differing clouds, winter, fall, spring, summer and all the other things of nature he heard and read about in the books the scientist gave him that were 'safe' to read. Grunting slightly he swapped the feed bag to his other shoulder when the door opened to reveal the butter yellow mare nodding at the man Victor nodded back and walked inside. "Now everybody, I would like you to meet Victor. he is a Draconian and will be staying with us for a little while."

"Ahem. Hello everybody its nice to meet you all I hope we can get along." Victor said seeing several of the animals cast each other looks before scurrying off somewhere else in the house. Smiling, he looked down at Fluttershy. "I think that went well."

"Hmm yes I guess it did. Now lets get that bag from you and I will show you to your room." She said to him. Nodding, Victor began to follow her through the house being careful with his claws and tail as not to damage anything in her house, ducking down slightly as he made sure his horns didn't get on anything. After walking through most of the house, she led him to a small storage cupboard. Walking inside, she pointed to a shelf where Victor carefully tossed the bag onto the shelf. Looking down at the mare, he smiled at her. Nodding in approval, they made their way back to the house.

Walking up to the second floor, she showed him the guest room. Opening the door, Victor saw a medium sized bed with plain white sheets, a cabinet in the corner, a window facing the forest and a wardrobe with plenty of room. Walking inside, Victor noticed he didn't have to crouch to enter and had a good foot and a half of room above his head. Looking up, he saw some bracers that looked sturdy. Nodding he said "Thanks again Fluttershy I'm gonna try to catch some Z's if you don't mind."

"I-i-it's okay I need to run into town, i'll be back in a little bit."

"Okay. I'll see you soon, but before you leave, do you have any blankets?"

"O-o-oh dear I should probably give you some shouldn't I... but they were torn up by-"

"Actually Fluttershy, never mind i'll be fine. I'll just use my wings and go under the sheets." Victor said giving her a reassuring smile. Looking at him, she nodded slightly before shutting the door and walking away. Sighing, Victor walked over to the bed undoing the sheets. He crawled under them and curled up until he was comfortable. Slowly feeling sleep take him, he wrapped his wings around his torso, trapping some body heat. "Goodnight me." He said sighing contently with a slight smile on his face, he drifted off into unconsciousness.

Walking through Ponyville, Fluttershy began to make her way to Twilight's house to inform her about whom she had found in the forest. Seeing the tree house come into view, she sighed. After knocking on the door and waiting a minute, The oaken door swung open to reveal Twilight dressed in a pair up dark purple pajama bottoms and a white tank top her hair was pinned up with some pins holding them up in a bun smiling she said "Fluttershy I was about to go to bed do you need something?"

"Um well yes you see... I found somepony in the forest."

"Oh really now?" Twilight said with a slight shake of the head and a sly grin. Fluttershy began to tell her about how she met Victor and told Twilight about some of his physical features like height, skin tone, and some other things. Staring at Fluttershy Twilight began to ponder what her friend had just told her Fluttershy wasn't one to lie but what she just described to her seemed impossible and another being from somewhere else she would have to- "Oh and Twilight, before I forget, he said Discord brought him here."

"WHAT!" Twilight exclaimed in a mixture of anger and fear. "We have to go to him he may be doing something dangerous."

Several minutes later found Fluttershy and Twilight en route to the cottage on the edge of town. Following slightly behind Twilight was Fluttershy who was having a difficult time keeping pace with her friend. After she told Twilight about why Victor was in their world, she had already sent four separate messages to their friends along with one to the princesses. Running up to the house, Twilight used her magic to undo the lock. Turning to Fluttershy, she asked with a slightly authoritative tone. "Where is he staying?"

"The guest bedroom."

"Good! Maybe he's still there!" Twilight said turning she began to move to the stairs when four voices caught her attention turning she saw Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie Pie running up to them, each in their own version of sleeping attire. Aside from Rarity who had appeared to be in the process of preparing for sleep before being called out of her home.

"We got the message from ya Twi. Where's the varmint at?" Applejack asked, pulling out a rope which she held taunt to show its strength.

"Yeah! lets kick his ass!" Rainbow Dash said, who was standing next to Applejack in a gym shirt and matching shorts.

"Girls!" Rarity scolded. "That is not how a lady should talk or act! My goodness! We should at least hear what this Mr. Victor has to say!"

"Yeah maybe he's super-duper nice!" Pinkie gasps with excitement. "I could throw him a welcome to Ponyville/Equestria party!"

Pushing past them quickly, Applejack and Rainbow Dash burst into the room. The door slamming open awoke the previously sleeping draconian. The six mares entered to see a creature sitting up, stretching while he scratched around his horns. After noticing the new arrivals, Victor turned toward them and cocked his head to side. "Huh?" Crying out in surprise, Applejack expertly threw her rope, tying him up nice and tight then pulled him out of bed. Victor landed on his stomach, causing a puff of fire to escape his mouth. Victor felt pain go through his body when he tried to sit up but realized something had tackled him. looking up, he saw a cyan woman with long rainbow hair glaring at him. Grabbing his shirt and raising a fist she snarled. "Tell us why you're here!"

Victor has been in many situations in his life but he never dealt with people personally only ever when he was told to complete a task or two for his yearly physical. So with rising emotions and the fear he felt, Victor did the only thing he could. He began to cry. He just silently cried. Closing his eyes, he felt the tears slide down his cheeks.
