I'm not sure what happened next as soon as I got home, I just know I fell asleep. There I dreamed yet another dream with me and Derpy. We were walking side by side on a seemingly endless road. We kept talking about things that I can't remember. I just know we were happy as the world passed by us as we just endless walked together hoof in each other hoofs. As we walked, she slowly became more and more beautiful, as if a goddess was walking with me. I soon woke up, seeing it was now morning. At that moment, my mind just instantly knew what to write. I immediately sat at my desk and began writing my newest book. According to my contract, My next book isn't due for several months but if I have an idea, I immediately start writing. There's no point if your idea leave you after all, you go ahead and write it. Before I knew it, hours had passed and I found a good stopping place. I couldn't believe how many hours pass when you have innovation but they do. I looked at the clock, two days till the date with her. I then tried reading the other novels I had borrowed and I realized very quickly that they weren't going to help me. I put them together and then returned to the library.

“Um, hello, I would like to return these books.” I said.

“Oh, Mister Feather! Did those books help you?” Twilight said in an exited voice.

“Um, actually not really but I was still able to get some inspiration anyways.”

“Oh really, I'm sorry.”

“Oh, it's not your fault, just some books just don't help at times.”

“Oh well, I think I can understand, are you now looking something else?”

“Um, no, I'm just going to return these. Thank you for letting me check them out.”

“Oh, no problem, say, um, could I ask you something?”

“Yes?”

“When's your next book coming out? Or am I not allowed to ask?” she said with a very expectant look on her face.

“Well, I'm not really allowed to say but I will say my latest book is currently be reviewed to be published, so it might be a little while till it comes out. Sorry.”

“Oh okay. Don't worry I won't tell anyone. Thank you.”

“No problem, I just usually see any fans. Or knew that my books had many fans.”

“Your books get good sales of what I have heard.”

“Huh, well my editor just tells me my books just do good.”

“Heh, heh, I'm surprised you feel that way. Guess that's just how an author is.”

“Thank you” I said and then left the library.

Before I knew it, It was the weekend and the date was about to happen. I cleaned myself up and went to meet up with her. Ironically, after we agreed to go to dinner we didn't arrange anything so yesterday we put everything together. When I went there she was already there and man, she was amazing. She wasn't in a dress or anything but I could tell she had cleaned fully up, hair done and everything. I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped when I saw her despite I was trying every way not to. My mouth then just barely opened, trying to say words.

“You....Look...Amazing.” I slowly said.

Her face blushed bright red, “Thank you.”

“So, um, are you ready?”

“Yes.” she said with a beautiful smile.

We then walked to the restaurant where I constantly tried not to be dumbfounded by her beauty. We sat down and ordered a simple meal. I then tried to start a conversation.

“So, how is your job?”

“Well, it pays well enough. I get to travel a lot though.”

“That sounds nice, I'm not a big traveler despite being a pegasus.”

“That does sound odd for a pegasus but that's fine.”

“What do you mean?”

“Everypony is allowed to choose what they want to do, you don't want to travel, don't travel. Simple as that.”

“Ha, ha, I guess that's true, I never thought of it that way. I just thought I was an outsider pegasus.”

“Is that because you're an author?”

“Well, mainly earth ponies and unicorns are authors. If a Pegasus writes it's usually military or workout books.”

“You write something different.”

“Yeah, I write a series about ironically, a traveling pony and the ponies he meets.”

“So it's a traveling drama?”

“You could call it that, more like a traveling soap opera.”

“Huh, well I don't read much due to my, um, problems.”

I could tell she was talking about her eyes, “Don't worry about it.”

“Huh?”

“You don't need to read my books, I honestly think they're just okay, I mean, I am proud of them but I don't want to force anyone to read them or advertise them.”

“But, you should want to promote your work.”

“Nah, I just love writing, it's just you need money to live in this world. Writing is my passion.”

“Oh okay.” she said with an understanding face.

“Thank you, what about you?”

“Huh?”

“What is your passion or what you love the most?”

“Oh that's easy, my daughter Dinky! She's my whole world!” she said with a huge smile.

“Man, you must really love her!”

“Oh yes, she's the best daughter ever!”

After that we kept talking for a while longer and then we finally began to leave the restaurant. I then took her home where she said someone Carrot Top was foalsitting Dinky.

“Thank you for being such a gentlecolt Red.”

“Does that mean I can ask you out for a second date?” I said embarrassingly.

“Yes! Of course!” she said with a huge smile.

“Does that mean we're dating?”

“I guess it does!”

Then my body moved before I could think. I kissed her right on the lips. We both then turned bright red, redder than the reddest tomatoes.

“Um, good night Derpy.”

“Um, yeah, good night Red.”

I don't remember the trip back to my house, but I'm not sure if it actually mattered. I just knew I was really really happy. Little did I know that things were just too good to be true with Derpy though. Unfortunately, tomorrow was a different story altogether.
