The quest to save Derpyby Thunder-StarChaptersSincerely, Derpy HoovesShe's real?!?!Chapter 3Sincerely, Derpy HoovesPrologue "No! Please stop!" I cry out, as I cower in the middle of the street with my forelegs over my head as other ponies pelt various objects at me. "I-I Thought you guys used to like me!" I shout while the rain continues pour down on me, as I lay in the muddy road, with dirt staining my grey fur coat, with the icky brown sludge. "You're so stupid Derpy!" "What kind of a name is Derpy anyway?" "Why does she have to be so dang retarded?" "She should just crawl under a rock and die!" These are the things I hear coming from them as they keep pelting me with trash, such as empty cans, banana peels, tomatoes, and anything else they can get their hooves on. The banana peels stick to my fur, while the tomatoes burst on impact, covering the area with red tomato juice. The cans cling as they bounce off of my body, and onto the ground, making small splashes "Why is everypony treating me like this? I don't know what went wrong! Please, leave me be!" I can't take it anymore. I live through this everyday that I live. Ever since I began talking, everypony has just been out to get me. They all used to love me, and enjoy me being around. First I was a mistake, and now I'm offensive as someponies say. I just wish every thing would go back to normal. I wish I had never begun talking. I-I...I wish...I wish I was different. I can't remember a time anymore where I could enjoy my life. I can't even remember anypony saying they're my friend, and if I do, I find it hard to believe that anypony would like me.Slowly, but surely , the pelting comes to a stop. I lift my head just enough to see around me. I see all the other ponies scoffing, and glaring, and shaking their heads at me, as they turn to walk away. I raise my head a little more to look around, and I can see several cans and burst tomatoes, and browning banana peels spewn across the ground. My body is shivering due to the could of the rain, and my ears are ringing due to the loud roar of thunder and lightning, as lights fill the sky. I turn my head straight to see somepony who used to be my best friend. Her fur is the color of cyan blue, and her mane and tail have every color of the rainbow. Rainbow dash. She's hovering just above the ground, tossing a can up and down in her right hoof. She smirks as she draws her leg back, and I cover my head, ready for the blow. I hear a whoosh as it flies to me, and makes a thunk as it hits my head. "Ow!" I mutter in pain, rubbing my forehead. I hear Rainbow laugh for a few seconds before I hear her fly away. I noticed I felt something stick when I touched my head, and it wasn't a tomato since i wasn't hit in the head with one. I look at my right hoof, the one I used to rub my head, and I see a line of blood, slowly trickling it's way down. I look up, and I watch the rainbow of colors Rainbow Dash leaves behind, as she flies. I lay there crying for another couple of minutes, before I try and regain my posture, as I stand. I rub my hoof on the ground to clean the blood off, as more falls down my face. Why Rainbow Dash of all ponies? She's supposed to be the element of loyalty. I remain sobbing as I begin my way home in this freezing down pour. I can't remember anypony ever being happy around me. I can't remember anypony being happy to be my friend, because now days, they all just give me looks of disgust, anger, and hate, as they scoff, and glare at me when I'm around. I try to stay to the sides, and in the shadows, as to not be seen. But here and there I do get spotted, and soon I get objects flying at me. They shout in disapproval, and what not when they see me. I watch as the blood from my head rolls down to the tip of my muzzle, and drips down to the ground. I would fly home, but due to the beating I took just a minute ago, my wings really hurt. I'm used to having things thrown at me, but it's when they gather up and do it, I can't take. When I arrive home, I head to the bathroom, and I look at the ugly reflection of my self in the mirror on the door. My...crossed...eyes, have turned a pinkish red due to crying, and my left eyes is black from another beating a few days ago. Bags have formed under my eyes as well due to the fact that depression won't let me sleep anymore at night. My mane, tail, and coat are drenched with rain water, and my mane drapes over my face. The blood from my forehead, runs in many directions down my face. Most of the feathers on my wings are out of shape and will need to be pulled out. My body is covered in mud, and tomato juice, and is a bit sticky from the bananas. I compare this Derpy, to my past happier, former self, and it's just tragic how this place ruined me. Last month I quit my job because I don't want to have to go to all of the houses of those who don't even like me. They will just throw their mail back at me like everything else, and they always call me names like screw up, stupid, retarded, and useless, and monster, a mistake, and offensive. It's just so heartbreaking to the the ones who love you, just change their attitude all of a sudden. When I went to work, I was ready to tell them I quit, but when I arrived at my locker, there was a note telling me I'm fired. I don't care the reason why, if there is one, but I was just happy I don't have to work there anymore. But now I'm behind on my rent, and soon, if I don't pay it off, they're gonna kick me out. But it doesn't matter anyway. Nothing does. I stand there looking at my pitiful reflection for a moment longer, before I head into the shower. I turn on the hot water, which first comes out cold, but eventually heats up to a satisfactory temperature. I stand under the stream of water, as it washes the mud, blood, and other gunk out of my coat. I use a foreleg to wipe the blood off of my face, and I rinse it off from there. The feeling of warm water on my coat feel so relaxing, and relaxing is what I really need right now. I watch as all the dirt and grime swirl down the drain. I lay back against the shower wall, as the water continues to wash over me. I listen to the sound of the water hitting the blue tile floor, and I watch the steam rise up to the ceiling. When I'm done showering, I dry myself off, and I head to my room. I walk over to the end table next to the bed, and I pull the switch and a dim yellow light fills the room. I climb up onto my bed, and I lay on my stomach. Then I open the drawer in the end table, and I take out my notebook with the quill in it, and the small bottle of ink. place the notebook in front of me, and the ink next to the notebook. I adjust the angle of the lamp so I can see better. I take the quill in my mouth, and dip it in the ink. I turn the notebook to the nearest empty page, and I begin to write. I use mostly all of the ink to write what I'm writing. When I'm done, I walk outside, and I stick the note on the door. I look over what I wrote. By the time I finish, I'm tearing up, and it's hard to keep them back. "Goodbye home." I say putting a hoof on the door, and resting my forehead on it. I turn around, and I head for the main entrance to Ponyville. The rain has reduced now to nothing, but a light sprinkle. I lower my head as I go, not caring anymore if anyone sees me. But I can still hear them talking about me as I pass. "Hey look out, it's Derpy." I see one stallion say to his mare friend. "Yeah, don't get too close or her stupid will rub off on you." She states, glaring mockingly at me. I try to ignore it, but whenever anypony calls me names, it always plays itself over and over again. This is what I have to live through everyday. The ones I used to know as friends, turn their backs on me. It hurts to see that everypony who used to be my friends, make their day worth it by picking on me. I think about Rainbow Dash, who was my best friend, but now she joined the others in their mission to make my life miserable. Well they did a great job at it, now they have gotten so fond of it, they do it for fun, like I just said. The rants, and insults, and, name calling keeps going as I finally reach the outskirts out town. When I get to the edge, I look back and say my final goodbyes. "Goodbye Ponyville. I will forever miss you." I turn back to the other direction, and I keep walking. Eventually I come to my destination. The Everfree forest. Memories that I have had play themselves in my head, but there aren't that many now. I can only remember bits and pieces, so there's no point in explaining. I know it's sad that I'm leaving Ponyville, but it's for the best. As I walk through the trees and bushes, I can't help but think of the note I had left behind. I hope it makes them happy. I hope it changes their minds about me. I do all of this hoping, but it has never gotten me anywhere, so what's the point in hoping anymore? This is what that note said: Dear everypony who reads this, My soul purpose here in Ponyville was to make everypony happy. I did just that for quite some time, until I started speaking. That's when everyone began to start calling me names, and throw things at me. Today was just another one of those days. I go out, I get picked on, and I get ganged up on, and I get things thrown at me. It hurts to see you guys just suddenly change from my bestest friends, to my worst fear. I do all I can to make everypony happy here, but nothing seems to work anymore, so I decided to try one last thing. I know you guys have been wanting this for sometime now, so...I'm finally doing it. I hope it makes you guys happy, because deep in my heart, I still care about each and every last one of you. I'm sorry if I hurt anypony, but I didn't mean it. I was only doing what I did best. I'm sorry anypony who still cares for me, which nopony does anymore. But. even though I'm leaving, I will always cherish my good memories, or what's left of them, as they are being replaced by scars. I just hope that eventually you guys will like me again, and we can all be friends once more. I miss all the good times we had, I miss remembering those good times, those were also replaced by memories of being pelted with trash, and other stuff. Earlier I saw myself in my bathroom mirror just after one of these attacks, and I compared it to before you guys hated me. I'm really going to miss you guys, and the life I used to have, but for now, it's goodbye. Sincerely... Derpy Hooves... She's real?!?!Hey there. The name's Jack. Or Jack-Jack like the baby from the movie "The incredibles" or Jackie, or Jack-o-lantern. Yeah I have a lot of nicknames. These are just a few of em. You may think I'm a dude from the name, but I'm actually female. I'm a white 17 year old senior at my school, I am a brony, or pegasister, which ever it may be, but they both lead to mean they same thing, that I like "My little Pony: Friendship is Magic." I get called Jack-Jack sometimes due to the fact, when somebody poses a threat on me, or my family and friends, I may take things a wee bit too far to keep them safe. Jackie, just because it's attractive, and Jack-o-lantern, because I'm also a fan of the movie, "The Green Lantern." You may be expecting to hear me go on about how my life is meaningless, or nothing good happens. But if I were to say that, I'd be lying. I live a life filled with friends who will always have my back in a tight situation, I have the most fabulous boyfriend in the world! Ha I wish. I'm actually single, but I'm fine with it. My friends are always like, "Why don't you try to get a bf or something? Are you just going to live your life single?" I tell them, I will get a boyfriend when the time approaches. After I tell them this, they're always trying to get me with somebody, or trying to get with me, themselves. I keep telling them I don't want to rush because that leads to desperation, which in the wrong cases can be heart breaking. But enough about me, and let's just get to the real story. I'm with my two friends Mark, Brianna, and Kate. Same thing as me. Thought I was a guy, but int this case, Kate isa guy. We're on a road trip, to my grandma's house which is big enough to be considered a mansion pretty much. Mom allowed us to take her big, Dodge Ram SRT10. This thing may be a truck, but when desired, this thing can move! I'm in the back seat with Brianna, and an under the influence, Mark is driving. He may be on booze right now, but he's actually very skilled at driving when he's gotten some alcohol into his system. I mean, this road that we're on has many twists, and turns, and sharp turns, and stuff like that, but he drives as if he were a fricking race car driver! You can just hear the trucks, huge 450 horsepower engine roar as he speeds around corners, and along any straights. Great. Now I'm talking as if we were on a race track. Plus, we haven't seen another car or truck, van, whatever, for the past hour, so getting into a collision is no worry, but crashing is still a possibility. My body is forced to the right side, as we go around another corner, and you can hear the tires squeal against the pavement, as well as you can feel the seat vibrate violently from under your rear. Did he just do a drift? This truck isn't made for drifting!! This truck is brand spanking new! If he wrecks it, my mom's gonna be very pissed at him, but mostly me, since I was the one who let an alcohol infused man drive her $45,000 truck. We come to another straight length of road, and still not another car insight. I'm surprised none of us have spoken yet during this whole life threatening turn of events. The engine roars loudly again, taking short breaks to shift gears as I am pushed back into my seat due to the acceleration. Another thing is that this road goes downward so it feels like I'm on a roller coaster right now, as my heart leaps to my throat. About three quarters of the way down, he deaccelerates so he can keep control when we suddenly go straight again. by straight, I mean in a horizontal direction. We pass by many leafless trees due to the fact we are just coming back from winter, and only small patches of snow can be seen. Suddenly I get the feeling of needing to relieve myself. "Mark, can you pull over? I need to go." I chuckle a bit as to how childish I must have sounded right there. "Say please." He teases, smirking at me through the window shield mirror. "Fine. Can you please pull the truck over?" "Good jackie. Have a doggie treat." He says opening up the glove compartment, and puling a small plastic bag out, and tossing it back to me, which I come to find it's a snowball. "Dude you know I'm allergic to coconuts." I toss it back to him, hitting his head. "Now pleaaase stop." "Your wish is my command." He flashes a sly smile at me, then I feel myself being thrown forward, and I can hear the tires screeching to a halt. My head hits the back of Kate's seat. "Dude, be careful!" Kate complains. "I don't wanna have to meet the dash board or what ever it's called with my face! Oh hello face! Oh hello dashboard thingy, nice to meet you face to face! Bonk!" Brianna says chuckling, using her hands as puppets, and having them bang together to represent Kate's face, and the dashboard clashing into each other. I roll my eyes, as I turn to my door, and I pull the handle to open it, but it refuses to budge. "Mark!" I shout. "What?" "Unlock the frickin door!" I say through gritted teeth. "Yeah sure whatever." He says, as I hear a click. I go to open the door, but right before I pull the handle, the click is made again, and the door stays shut. "Mark, either you open this door, or you're face is gonna be covered in some of my home made apple juice!" I glare at him through the mirror, and he just shakes his head. Click. This time, I open the door as fast as I can, and I hear the click again, but I had the door open already. "Haha fuck you, ya crazy cunt!" I get out, and I head to the side of the road, where I notice there is a hill that goes down about the equivalent of a two and a half story building, at about a 65 degree angle. The ground is covered in leaves of red, yellow, and orange, and a slight gust drags them along the ground. "Are you gonna go, or are you just gonna look at the pretty scenery?" I hear Kate's voice say. I look back to see his window open, so I flip him the bird, and I make my way down the hill, and into the jungle of trees below. The leaves and twigs make crunching sounds from underneath my feet, and the gust of wind blows my blond hair into my face. I'm careful on the hill, but when I get to the bottom, I start walking normal again. I look back here and there until I can barely see the truck. I then duck behind the nearest thickest tree, and I pulldown my pants, as I squat down by the tree, and my 'Home made apple juice' flows out. Just as I finish, I hear footsteps nearby to my right. I assume it's either Kate, or Mark, and Brianna cam up with the idea to trick me, and sent them off to do her evil doings. "Okay guys, where are you?" I ask, pulling my pants up, and heading into the direction i heard the footsteps. I walk in that direction for a few seconds, but only to never find either of them. "Okay this is getting really creepy, so Mark, or Kate you can come out, cause you're freaking me out." Then I hear it again, but this time an awful lot closer, and I hear...whimpering? Plus this whimpering doesn't sound like either MArk or Kate. Not even Brianna. I hear it again, but followed by a small sniffle this time. I can also make out that this might not be any of them, because it sounds like a little girl. I also seemed to have picked the sound up from a nearby bush, just ahead of me. "Who's there?" I keep my voice low this time as to not scare off whatever may be there. I also slow my speed so now I'm moving as fast as a turtle. The whimpering continues, then turns to what sounds like soft crying. "I'm to going to hurt you okay? What's your name?" I added asking the persons name so they know I won't hurt them. "D-D-Derpy." "Could you say it again? I didn't quite catch that. I'm Jackie by the way. A-are you hurt?" By now, I'm about ten feet from the bush, and it rustles once. "D-Derpy...I think." Awe, this is cute and sad at the same time. Sad because there's a little girl out here all alone, and she's claiming to be...DERPY?! I gasp, as the wind in my lungs get sucked out as I see the actual Derpy Hooves from MLP, right here in front of me, but why is she cowering? Why did she say she thinks her name is Derpy? How is she here right now? I mean, at first, I thought it was a joke that my friends were pulling, then I thought it was a little girl I was going to find, but no, it's Derpy the mailmare. She's right here, living and breathing the same air as I am right now! I just can't believe it. Derpy isn't my most favorite character from the show, but she is my favorite background pony, which they plan on removing sadly. "Y-you're not going to hurt me are you?" She asks, lifting a foreleg in front of her for protection. "What? No, I wouldn't hurt you, I have to reason to." I walk over to her, and i kneel down in front of her. "Are you okay? You look really beat up." I notice the black eye, and the eye bags, and various bruises. Her wings are way out of shape, and there is a scare on her forehead. Her crossed eyes always made me squee due to their huge amount of cuteness, but all I see in her now is fear, pain, and torture. She looks down to the ground not saying anything. "What happened to you?" I go to stroke her mane, but she sees, and backs away in fear, and agony. "Don't hurt me!" She shouts, holding her forelegs out in front of her, and squeezing her eyes shut. I need to show her I won't hurt her, so, I reach my arms out, and I pull her into me, and i hug her tight. "I'm not going to hurt you okay?" I take a hand and I stroke her mane like I had planned to, then I hear a soft moaning, that soon turns into a soft cry, and she hugs me back."I'm going to help you." I say softly, releasing my hold on her a bit, which causes her to tighten her grip on me. "Thank you." She manages to say between her sobs, as she extends her wings out to hug me with. We sit there for another minute hugging, and she seems to have stopped crying now. I can't believe it. I just hugged Derpy. And she hugged me. I just can't bring myself to believe it, but since she is really right here in front of me, I have no choice but to believe it. "Can you walk, or fly?" I ask letting the grey mare go, as I stand up. "M-my wings aren't in the best condition for flying, but I...i can walk." She stands up on all fours, and wipes the tears from her face with a hoof. "Why though?" "Well I said I was gonna help you didn't I?" I ask, before hearing more footsteps headed in my direction. I look around, and I spot Brianna looking for me. Eventually she spots me as well. "Come on Jackie! How long does it take to pee?" She whines. "Yeah, I'm coming." I look down at Derpy who is cowering again. "Hey come on Derpy, she's a friend okay?" Derpy looks at me blankly, then nods as she gets up. I look back to Brianna who has made her way over to me. "Hey, what's taking you so lo-" She says cutting off when she sees a once again, cowering Derpy. "Brianna meet Derpy, Derpy, meet Brianna." Derpy right now, is closest to me, so she ducks behind me for cover. "Wh-what...is that?" Brianna asks, with a dumbfounded look pasted onto her face. "A pegasus." I look down to Derpy, Who looks up to me, and I rub her mane. "It's fine Derpy. Brianna isn't going to hurt you okay?" "I-I'm just scared." She looks down again. I can understand why seeing how much abuse her body must have taken. Who in the hell would do this to Derpy anyway? You must be quite Heartless to do that. "D-did it just talk?" "Okay Brianna, it's a grey talking pegasus who needs help okay? Does that sum it up for you enough?" She just simple shrugs. "Now let's head back to the truck before they come searching too." I look to Derpy again, and I motion for her to follow me, and she sticks close. By close I mean to where I can let my arms to limp, then I just have to extend my pointer finger and I can touch her head. "Why are you helping me?" "Well one reason is because you are obviously not from this world, two because You shouldn't be out here alone, and three because you look like you were recently beaten senseless." I reply rubbing her mane again a couple times. "I did get beat up." She says, and stops walking. "By who?" "By everypony who I thought was my friend." She says sadly, as tears well up in her eyes again. "Awe don't cry Derpy. Please don't" I kneel down by her again. "Th-they call me names, a-a-and they beat me up for it. I just wanted to talk to them when they started." A tear falls down her cheek, and she collapses to the ground, bawling. "Derpy." I grab her from under the forelegs, and I lift her onto me, hugging her again. "I'm here for you okay.?" "Awkward..." I hear Brianna whisper, so I shoot a glaring stare at her. "I didn't know what to do anymore, so I ran away, and when I went to sleep, I woke up here." Derpy states, still crying. "Well sitting here crying isn't going to fix it okay?" I ask letting go of her. "Okay. It's okay." I take a finger, and I rub her eyes free of tears, while being careful of her black eye. "Now let's get going okay?" I ask Derpy. "Okay." She replies smiling a me. Now I know my life is interesting and what not, but having Derpy show up out of nowhere is really cool, but the current condition she is in is just so sad, and depressing. I think that's why she was scared of me and Brianna at first because she was scared we were gonna attack and/or hurt her, but to hurt an animal...is just...I can't do it, let alone a character from My little Pony. Come to think of it, she could just remember what her name was, so I think that since she is really an animated cartoon character that she must be programmed, but, she's really here right now. It's the actual legitimate Derpy Hooves I found today, but I just wish that what ever is going on with her will go away because it's not everyday you come across Derpy, so I want to make every minute of this. Now just to get her to the truck without her breaking down or freaking out. The same goes for Kate, and Mark as well. What would they think If I came to the truck with a talking pony? They'd totally flip. It would make for a really great voice, but I don't want to embarrass anyone right now. I'm just glad I have Derpy with me. I'm so happy i have Derpy with me, and I'm gonna try my best to make her happy as she can possibly be. Plus I'm going to try and fix whatever else may be messing with her. I'd love to stay, but I have a Derpy to tend to. Chapter 3 I just can't believe what I'm experiencing right now. my all time favorite background character from one of my favorite television shows is right here by my side. But, what I also can't believe is what she told me. A defenseless, mentally impaired Pegasus, beaten up by all who she thought liked her. I know she said everypony who I thought was my friend beat her up. But exactly who? But whatever is going on I'm gonna get to the bottom of it, because Depry doesn't deserve this. Just to think this all started with just a simple animation error. "Jackie, are you seriously going to bring that...thing with us?" Brianna scoffs, huffing, and puffing. "Yes I am. besides, if I don't, I know a very nice inanimate object that wants to meet you. Face to face, remember?" i quicken my pace to catch up with her, bumping her in the side. "Whatever. So how did your homemade apple juice taste? Huh? Bet Ya tried it too." She rolls her eyes, giggling to herself. I look back to Derpy, who is dragging behind about ten feet away from us. From here I can tell her breathing is shaky, and her steps are wobbly. I'd pick her up and carry her, but I'm not some stuck up body builder on steroids, now am I?! well then again, Pegesai are supposedly light as a feather. She notices my looking at her, and she stops walking. "I look stupid, I know. You don't have to stare." She grunts, gazing at the ground. I walk over to her and kneel down, and place a hand on her shoulder. "Derpy, I don't think you look stupid. I'm worried about you okay? We'll talk about this when we get to my grandmas house okay?" I say with a soft, and soothing, supportive tone. I ruffle her mane a little. "Jackie, do you hear yourself right now? You somehow discovered some weird talking winged pony and you act like you've known it for ages. And I just realized that whole dashboard thing was Kate's thing!" She steps closer to me, causing Derpy to back away a little. Gosh if she's like this now, how will she be in a truck with four humans like four times her size in a small compact space? I don't know, but I'll have to make this work. "You don't understand what's going on with her so back off!" I snap back at her. "Come on derpy, let's go." I bring Depry to all fours, and I lay a hand on her back, leading her up the hill and to the truck. "What in the world to you so long, Jack Jack?" Kate scolds from the drivers passenger window. "Well..." I beast ure my head to Derpy and her face goes blank. All the color flushes away, leaving her a pale white. "What...is that?" "OH MY FRICKING LORD!! AM I THE ONLY ONE ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET THAT KNOWS WHAT A PEGASUS IS!?!" I collapse to my knees, placing my head in my hands.Dont worry I'm not crying. I just sit like this to relieve stress. No worries. :) "J-Jackie?" "Yes Derpy?" "What is that thing?" "The best thing created by man." I sigh, still in the same position. "Uhm, did somebody poison me with shrooms? Cause I swear that thing just talked!" Kate exclaims, with her arms out of the window. I stand back up. "No you are not on shrooms, at least I hope you're not, and yes she talks. And one other thing." I say calmly, walking up to her. "She's not a thing. SHES...A...PEGASUS!! P-E-G-A-S-U-S!!" I shout, poking her nose with each letter I spell out. "Are you on your period?" She asks as Brianna hops back Into the truck. "No, but if you don't treat her right I will be putting a period to your LIFE!!" "Well damn. Just get in the truck already." She points a thumb to the rear of the cab, with an angry sigh. I know I'm not on my period. dis bitch is delusional. I had my period the other day! Maybe she is on shrooms and they are messing...her...up. I turn to face Derpy who looks frightened out of her mind. either it's being surrounded by aliens, or its cuz of me yelling, or both! "Okay, Derpy, we're gonna get I to the truck okay?" "Is it safe? y-you're not gonna do anything to me are you?" "Of course not. if they do, there will be hell to pay for them okay?" I lean forward, giving my newly made friend a friend hug. "I loves Ya derpster!" I give her a little nuzzle like they do in the show. "Okay..." She whispers. She looks up at the big red vehicle as it towers over her. They don't have these in Equestria, so I doubt she knows how to get in. So I lift her up into my arms, lighter than I thought because she is light as a feather. This cause me to lose my balance, but luckily i don't fall. To bad for all you suckers who were hoping for us to end up rolling down the hill like a couple of rag dolls. I manage to get the door open, and I sit my but on the black leather seat, swiveling to face foward. I have Derpy in my lap now, and she looks so dreadful and adorable at the same time. I smile as I set her between me and Brianna. I buckle myself in, then Derpy. "She is kinda cute. just except for all those bruises and such." Brianna coos. "Yeah no kidding." "So is everybody, and pony ready?" Mark asks. I'm shocked. it's the first thing he says and he doesn't seem to be phased at all with a talking Pegasus in the back seat. "Yes" I tell him. He places his hand on the clutch, moving it forward Into drive, and we are off. Derpy now looks as if shes about to faint. I mean seriously. take the situation from her point of view. Neglected and bullied by friends, then whisked away to a world where she does not belong, and now in a something that moves that she has never been in before with four strange creatures surrounding her. Not my idea of a pleasant pick nick. I put an arm around the back of her, and I pull her into leaning on me. It's a friendly way of showing that she's safe with me. She looks up at me with pleading eyes that don't speak, yet they scream a thousand words. With my other hand I begin to stroke her mane. I know this may seem weird, but I want to make sure that she knows we can be trusted. Surprisingly, she leans her head on me with a yawn, and with no further words, she falls asleep. I can't help but smile. Yes I've said it already I can't believe she's here, but now I'm protectively holding her, and she's fallen asleep on me. This is the perfect example of bittersweet. Sweet that I get to be the lucky one to hold her, yet bitter that she's taken quite the physical and emotional toll. I continue stroking her mane, and I notice her tail begin to slightly say in a soft of way, that's she's in a state of comfort. Brianna looks at her, then me, and shakes her head. I can tell Derpy is getting to her. Then I watch as she reaches a hand out and begins to pet her back. She smiles at me, and gives a shrug. I know what she's saying pretty much. "Hey she's cute, it's not wrong to pet her, is it?" She doesn't say it, but I can tell. Derpy'so head moves to be right under my chin, and I notice her muzzle begins to form a small smile. An hour or two later of driving, I begin to feel quite sleepy, and drowsy. We've been driving for like four hours now! Seriously grandma! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO LIVE SO FAR AWAY?! What is this, Shrek or something? "Welcome to 'Far Far Away'!" "Grab your torch and pitch forks! Doesn't that bother you?!" Oh...wait...that's from the first one, Duh! Lol I just pulled a Derpy. Speaking of Derpy, she's still asleep, the same way she fell asleep, except for the fact that she was struggling to get more comfortable due to the seatbelt. So I unbuckled her, and she moved onto my lap! In her sleep! So here I am, holding Derpy Hooves in my lap. Like, this is so weird and cute all together. But adorableness out weighs weird by far. I think I'm getting sleepy because it's starting to get dark out, but luckily it's only another hour till we get to grandmas. It's so nice that she lives in the next state. Oh the wonders of never ending driving, and gas expenses that come from MY wallet!! I was saving up money for a really big Derpy plushie, but I have to spend it on something I absolutely do NOT care about. But hey, having the real Derpy makes up for it though! "Jackie?" Brianna asks, "Y-yeah?" I reply with a yawn. "Sorry for you know...Judging Derpy. If I knew what was going on I wouldn't have been the way I was. Plus she's really cute. To be honest, Im jealous you're the one holding her." "Really?" "Yeah. I feel bad for her. yeah it's strange having a talking Pegasus from another world here with us, but the general idea she had lots of friend that turned their backs on her like that is just sad." "I know. She's scared out of her mind. She doesn't know who to trust anymore. I just hope she can trust the three of us." "Yeah." ... "You tired Jackie?" Askd Brianna. "Yes, I am. I would be sleeping, but with this whole thing going on, my brain refuses to shut down." "Eh. Well I'm going to sleep. Wake me when we get there." "Okay, will do." Brianna lays her head against the back of the seat, closing her eyes, and soon begins to snore. I usually don't like snoring but hers sounds kinda funny. it sounds kinda like a squeaky toy. I notice Kate at the front, and she's fallen asleep as well, all but me and Mark. Mark had to drive since he's the only one with a lisence, so he CANT sleep. I wish I could. But I guess he wonders of sleep aren't on my side this time. I look down at Derpy, all cuddled against me. I'm happy she's asleep. She really needs it. I hug her softly, and protectively. I don't want anything else bad to happen to Her. She's been through more than enough as it is. I wonder why she warmed up to me so fast though. maybe she does trust me, and that's exactly what I want, is for her to know she's safe. I just hope I can find someway to get her back to Equestria. Or maybe not because she'll just be mistreated again. Right now, I would do anything to make her happy, because A happy Derpy is the second best thing next to a happy pinkie pie. I get the urge to just give her a kiss, so I tilt my head down a little and I plant a small kiss on her forehead. She kind of reminds me of my pet cat I had as a kid. His name was Snowball. Guess how he died. He was run over. But I never got a Snowball two though. A few minutes later, my sleepiness gets to be too much For me, and I finally pass into the dream world. In my head I hope this is just a dream, then again, I don't want it to be.
Sincerely, Derpy HoovesPrologue "No!
