Apple blooms crush.

It was a beautiful day in ponyville and the day centres around the school,

Everyone was getting ready for the new foal free press, being as featherweight as the new editor in chief and shady daze as the photographer. Everyone was doing their normal jobs but a certain filly was thinking of something or should I say a certain pony.

"Hello, earth to apple bloom. You there?" Asked scooter-loo.

"Yeah, you haven't been yourself ever since the foal free press day" said sweetie belle worriedly. Apple bloom looked at her friends.

"Yeah I'm alright gals, I'm just thinking" she said while blushing.

"Why are you blushing?" Sweetie belle said suspiciously.

"Huh, o-oh will you look at the time, I better get going" she said in embarrassment. She doesn't want her friends to know about her crush.

"Um, it's 2:00, we go home in an hour" scooter-loo said.

But she didn't hear her, she kept staring at shady daze taking photos.

'He is so cute while taking photos and has an adorable voice' she thought while blushing at the thought of them getting married but dismissed the thought when 2 ponies diamond tiara and silver spoon started to talk to her. 'What do they want?' she thought angrily.

"Well look at what we have, a blank flank crushing on a photographer" diamond snickered. Silver spoon grinned then laughed.

"Yeah who will date her, I mean she is a blank flank after all"

Silver spoon smirked at the sight of apple bloom about to cry.

"Leave her alone" sweetie belle said angrily.

"Yeah so what if she has a crush on shady" scootaloo said angrily

Applebloom blushed "I do not" she said in embarrassment.

Suddenly the bell went and everyone left for home. Apple bloom, realised she stayed in the classroom all day decides to go home instead of crusading for cutie marks. She said goodbye to her friends before leaving.

On her way she kept thinking of shady and realised she has a crush on him but doesn't want to admit it, not yet any way.

"I'm home" apple bloom called. Her family was talking in the lounge room so she decided to talk to them about something. She walked up to her sister applejack, who was sitting on the couch with Granny Smith.

"Um applejack," apple bloom asked.

"Yes sugar cube" applejack said warmly.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked

"Sure thing. What's up?" She asked.

"What does it mean if you keep looking at someone and cant stop looking at them while blushing?"  Applejack was surprised, didn't expect that question to be asked from such a young filly, 'she's growling up so fast' she thought happily. She is happy for apple bloom.

"Well, that means you have a crush on some pony, why?" she answered but got suspicious. " do you have a crush on some-pony?" She asked with a sly smile. Apple-bloom gasped and blushed deeply and looked down.

"Yes, I do but what if he doesn't like me back?" She asked sadly.

"Well you don't know if he doesn't unless you tell him" applejack reassured her sister, hugging her. "So who is the lucky filly?" She asked smiling.

Apple bloom blushed and replied "shady daze" she said softly.

"Awwwww how cute, my sister in love" she said happily.

"Yeah I'm so excited" apple-bloom said not enthusiastic as she thought.

" aww come on sis, I'm sure if you tell him, he will like you back" she reassured her again. Apple-bloom smiled at her sister and said

" your right, I will, tomorrow" apple bloom said in her cute accent.

"I'm so proud of you, you will be a fine mare one day, your growing up so fast" applejack said, tears of joy coming down her face.

" I love you applejack" apple-bloom smiled at applejack.

" I love you too" she said happily hugging her sister who is laughing.

"Congrats young one" Granny Smith said happily.

"EeYup" said Big Mac smiling down at her.

"thanks guys" apple bloom smiled at her family.

The next morning

"Apple bloom come on out, someone's here for you" applejack called

Thought it was her friends, she rushed out and to find it was her crush.

She hid behind Big Mac, blushing before he noticed it. He looked at her, smiling at Her but didn't notice her blush.

"Well, I hope I'm not intruding but I got  sent here to get apple-bloom, I think there's a visitor coming to school" shady daze said.

" apple bloom come on time for school" applejack said softly noticing her blush. " trust me sis, I promise you, you will be fine" she reassured her.

Coming from behind Big Mac, she smiled and nodded, and went with shady.

"Our apple bloom has Finally blossomed" applejack said happily. Big Mac and granny nodded in agreement before they went to work.

Apple bloom and shady continued to walk unaware of apple blooms crush towards him. He noticed her blush and said " what are you blushing about" he really wants to know whats bothering her. Apple bloom took a deep breath 'it's now or never' still blushing and shaking she replied

"Well, um, I need to tell you something" shady looked at her and said

"Well go on, tell me then" she blushed harder and decided to let it out.

"Well, I um, uh,well, you see uh" she stuttered looking back at his cute face. "Come on you can tell me" he encouraged her softly

"We'll I um... 'Now or never' I really like you. Ever since I seen you i have this feeling that I um, wanting to tell you that, *takes a deep breath* I love you shady" she opened her eyes to see his shocked face, her heart beating fast. "oh um I didn't know you felt that way with me before, but... Can we talk about this later?" he asked her worried about what will happen now. Apple bloom looked ahead as if she didn't hear anything but she nodded. Her hearts starting to break but dismissed it and continued walking to school. She looked down 'maybe he doesn't like me at all' she thought as tears starting to fall and without noticed, banged her head on the pole. 'OWW" she cried. She felt dizzy and fell over.

"APPLE BLOOM" Shady shouted. He ran up to her and helped her up. "Apple bloom are you ok?" He asked concerned. Apple-bloom looked him, tears in her eyes but nodded. He did not looked convinced but sighed then walked to school with her. Apple bloom is upset that her crush rejected her.

'Now that he rejected me, I may not have a chance for love'

she snapped out of her thoughts when shady called out to her

"Apple bloom are you alright, your so quiet" he asked, even more worried than before.

She looked up at him, smiled weakly "yeah I'm fine*sigh*"

Before they knew it, they were at school, they saw the classes and rainbow dash with the wonder bolts. Shady and apple bloom looked at each other then thought 'I wonder what they're doing here'

They saw them and were confused, "hey rainbow dash, good to see ya"

Apple bloom said happily but confusingly. Rainbow looked at her then laughed. "I'm here because miss cheerily is going to see her family so I'm taking her place, plus, I also want you all to see the new wonder-bolts race coming up,yahoo, are you all excited cause i am" she squealed like a fan girl, causing every pony to laugh, even the wonder bolts laughed

Apple bloom shakes her head, smiling 'typical rainbow dash'.

"Well, let spitfire tell you" rainbow dash said while saying 'oh my gosh' over and over.

"We'll, my little ponies, as rainbow dash informed you, we'll show our race at the crystal empire, we hope you will have a great time" she moved to the same spot she stood before. The students muttering to themselves.

*the students arrived at the crystal empire watching wonderbolts*

"I can't believe it, we are actually watching wonder-bolts right here in the crystal empire, how awesome is that" scootaloo said excitedly,

"Ooh" sweetie belle squealed. "It is so cool if we also look around the place, that day was the best. remember the last time we've been there"

"I sure do, what do you say Applebloom?" Applebloom looked at shady, too distracted to answer the girls.

"Applebloom are you alright?." Sweetie belle asked concerned

"Yeah, you've been really quiet." Scootaloo said worried as well.

Apple bloom snapped out of her thoughts and looked up.

"I-I'm fine" she stuttered.

"Come on apple bloom, if he doesn't love you, then he isn't the one for you, besides, there are plenty of fish in the sea" sweetie belle said trying to cheer her up. Scootaloo looked confused.

"What fish" scootaloo asked cluelessly. Applebloom and sweetie belle Face hoofed.

"It means there are other colts in the world, it's a figure of speech" sweetie belle said as if its obvious. scootaloo looked

embarrassed. Applebloom giggled.

"You gals just cheered me up, thanks ya'll" apple bloom said smiling.

"Glad to help. Hey look, rainbow dash is there" scootaloo ran off excitedly.

"Hey look applebloom, it's shady, coming our way. Good luck" sweetie belle said in a hurry then ran off. Leaving shady and applebloom alone.

"Um, apple-bloom" shady started,

"Yes shady?" She said softly.

"Umm, well I'm sorry I didn't answer your question before, um, let me ask you again, do you really like me that much?" Applebloom blushed.

"Um y-yes, I do" she said blushing.

"Well..Um.. I'm sorry I don't like you like that" shady said sadly.

Apple bloom gasped "oh" she said about to cry.

Shady noticed it and said quickly "we can always be friends and besides,

We,are young, there's a whole lot of love out there, waiting for us you know" apple bloom nodded.

"We don't need to be in love to have fun. I'm sure you will find some pony.

Besides there is different kinds of love, not just being romantic and dating and stuff, and the love we share is the friendship I wouldn't trade for anything in the world" apple bloom smiled for the first time since they talked. She looked at him, smiling, knowing he is right.

"I believe you, I can't believe I let this silly crush go in my head,

I should of realised that there's more to love then being romantic. Thanks for reminding me shady, you know how to make me smile" shady smiled.

"Anytime, I'm just glad we are friends," he hugged her, she hugged back.

Unaware that spike, twilight and apple blooms family and the wonderbolts watched them, smiling, spike and twilight looked at each other then smiled.

Twilight told spike to get the paper ready for her to write to celestial.

"Dear princess celestia: today I learnt a very valuable lesson on love.

I found that there are different kinds of them,no matter what others may think, but the most valuable love is friendship, they never have their hearts broken and can always rely on each other for life.

It goes to show you that a little love and friendship goes a long long way,

Your faithful student twilight sparkle"
