The Shocking Letter

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Dear Princess Celestia,

I have found a book in your old castle that is rather...interesting. I think you know what the book is about. When I read it, I was rather disturbed of what it said you have done. I have also met a pony that currently resides in your old castle. She is rather mad at you for you doings. And I have to say, what is said in this book makes you seem pretty selfish. I see no reason for her not to be mad at you. I am disappointed as well. I never thought that someone as high as you could do something so...so selfish. Please, Princess Celestia, do reply back to this message.

Your friend and former student,

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight rolled the peace of paper into a scroll and called Spike to deliver it, his green fire sending it away to Princess Celestia. Twilight looked down, thinking about the letter she had just written.

"Twilight, are you okay?" Spike asked, looking at the saddened alicorn. Her ears perked up to the sound of Spike's voice and she immediately put a small smile on her face.

"Uh..yes! Yes I am Spike. Don't worry about me. I'm fine. I just..have a lot of things going on in my mind," Twilight responded nervously.

"Like what?"

"Nothing you need to worry about," Twilight said quickly.

"Come on, Twilight. You can tell me. I can keep a secret," Spike reassured her.

"No you can't Spike," Twilight said.

"Yes I can!"

"Remember Pinkie's surprise birthday party for Applejack?"

"I didn't say anything!"

"Applejack told me you did."

"Well...um..that was one time!"

"Oh really? How about that time when you told Rarity about that blemish on her cheek when everypony else told you not to say anything?"

"I had to be honest with her! Didn't want a screw up like last time. But I promise I'll keep this secret! Please?" Spike pleaded.

"You promise?" Twilight said.

"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye," Spike said, putting his hand on his left eye.

"Okay, fine," Twilight said.

"Thank you! So what's on your mind?" Spike asked for the third time.

"Well.." Twilight started.

As Princess Celestia checked important documents, a scroll popped out of nowhere and fell to the floor.

"What's this?" She asked herself.

With her magic, she lifted up the scroll to her face and opened it. She read it and was shocked.

"That can't be! I banished her years ago! How can this be happening?!" Celestia cried, Princess Luna hearing them.

"What is the matter, sister?" She asked.

"An old friend of ours has returned," Celestia responded, levitating the paper down back to the floor.

"Who?"

"Princess Seasons."

"Wait, what?!" Luna cried, her eyes getting wider,"But how? You told me you banished her from existence."

"At least I thought I did. I must have trapped her back in our old castle," Celestia said, pacing back and forth through the room.

"We must tell Twilight Sparkle about this, or she might fall into the wrong hooves," Luna said.

"I'm writing her a letter right now," she said.

She levitated a peace of paper and quill and wrote:

My dearest Twilight,

Please come to the castle immediately. That book you found does not tell the whole story. I understand if you do not believe me, but you are in great danger. This pony is not what you think, and she has many tricks up her hooves. You might also need to bring your friends. This is the greatest threat to Equestria since King Sombra. For she is not targeting the country.

She is targeting the princesses.

Your friend, Princess Celestia

She rolled the paper into a scroll and sent it off to her former student.

"Do you think she will come after me as well?" Luna asked.

"I don't believe that. You have been the closest to her, therefore you are not a target. Hopefully, she doesn't hurt Cadence and Twilight as well. But I know that she is targeting me my dear sister," Celestial said, looking at her surprisingly scared sister.

"Do not be afraid, Luna. I will be okay"

"I still fear for you. That anger could have turned her into something awful."

"I know. But we can't just ignore this. Her anger will be a challenge, but we can all face it. Together," she said and brought her sister to a hug, but it wasn't enough. She knew that the angered princess would come for her and take away the things she loves, such as her own sister.

"Are you positive you'll be alright?" Luna asked again.

"I'm positive." Celestia said, but she was honestly not sure of what would become of her herself.

"Wow. That's a lot of information to process," Spike said, trying to remember every word Twilight said.

"Yep. But I don't think that's all of it. I think I'm not getting the whole story," Twilight said. Just then, a spark came out of nowhere, sinking to the floor. Twilight lifted it up with her magic and started to read it.

"Oh no," she said.

"What is it?" Spike asked.

"Princess Celestia wants to see me and my friends immediately! She's coming after me Spike!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Who's coming for you?" Spike asked.

"Princess Seasons!" Twilight said. She rolled the scroll back up and dropped it, warning her friends about the letter she had just read. The ponies rushed to their homes and gathered their things to go to Canterlot.

"Come on Spike. We're gonna be late for the train," Twilight said.

"Almost done!" Spike said.

"I'm counting to five and you better be out her! One..two...three...." By the time she got to four her trusty assistant showed up.

"Ready!" The dragon said.

"Do you really want to bring comics to this trip?" Twilight asked.

"I need something to entertain me on the train ride," he said, walking out of the castle. Twilight rolled her eyes and walked behind him.

The trip to Canterlot is FINALLY a go, Twilight thought.
