“I said “can you make this using magic?”, Twilight! Didn’t you hear me?”
“Pinkie, I heard you. I said “what” because I was confused as to why you would want me to make an entirely new species based on a picture of what looks like a teardrop with huge eyes and arms? Why would I do that? How would I do that?” Twilight said, quirking an eyebrow questioningly at the other mare.
“Well I mean you ARE the personal student of Princess Celestia, and you’re a super magical princess now! And it’s not a teardrop with eyes, it’s an adorable little blobby pet thing!”
“Well, I guess you have a point. It would probably be hard, though. It’s almost impossible to permanently manipulate organic material using magic, and only slightly easier if you have the ability to directly manipulate it on a cellular level.”
“But can you do it?”
“Probably, but it would be a very long time, and I would have to dedicate a lot of bits to resear-”
“Don’t care do it thanks bye!”
“...Well. That was an experience. But still, the idea is interesting. And to be the first pony to bring new life into the world...”
