Trixie's Redemption
Chapter 21 (Epiloge)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDash soared effortlessly from side to side, twirling with precision. She laughed as she passed Ponyville, corkscrewing effortlessly as a few cheer for her. It was a few weeks since Princess Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding, and Dash was in heaven. Having performed a sonic rainboom on command, she had a new level of respect from the others. She was contempt knowing that everypony admired her. She stopped down at Sweet Apple Acres, trotting to Applejack as she was bucking apple trees.
"Oh, howdy Dash, whatcha up to?" Applejack smiled at Dash, her emerald eyes gleaming softly."Ya know...after after that weddin', you seem quite the chipper pony."
Dash blushed lightly, scratching behind her head."Well, I'm just happy, s'all. I'm flying around Equestria today, need anything delivered?"
Applejack pondered for a moment, tapping a hoof against her chin."Ya know what, I think I do. Feel like traveling to Stalliongrad?"
"Heck yea...only been there once. What's the occasion?"
"Well...Granny Smith was suppose to fill a crate with five bags of apples, but she only put in four. The shipment was to Stalliongrad, and none of us could make it." Applejack gave an embarrassed smile, grabbing two bags and distributing the single bag's worth of apples into the two.
"Of course" Dash said, smiling as she watched AJ work. The mare finished filling the two small bags, tying a rope around both. Applejack placed it on Dash's back, smiling as she adjusted it.
"Alright...it's the first building in the market...next to the statue."
Dash smiled wide, her face becoming competitively happy as her wings extended. She nodded, bolting into the air and slingshotting through the clouds, yelling out "Woo hoo!" as the rainbow trail behind her spiraled.
After a minute of flying, she arrived at the large city. It's walls towered high, a magical boundary looking stronger than any unicorn magic imaginable. The guards outside nodded as she landed, allowing her into the city. The size was twice that of Canterlot, and almost every building was three stories tall. Ironically enough, The only single story buildings were the shops. They were centered around the gate of the city, allowing any visitors to browse their wares with the utmost ease.
It was simple for Dash to find the store she was searching for. A small general store with a wide glass window across the front. The door was also glass, allowing Dash to see inside. She entered it slowly, looking around before talking to the unicorn at the desk. She happily accepted the delivery, giving the cyan Pegasus a few bits for a speedy delivery.
As she left the shop, she groaned as the sun set. It was a rapidly growing darkness that overtook the town. A few lights lit the cobble pathways of the city, lighting up the statue that made up the center of the court. A light gasp escaped Dash's lips as she looked at the lit up image of Trixie, standing on her hind hooves as she smiled wide.
"What the...no way. Trixie, not likely." She looked down, a lit up panel drawing her attention."Trixie, savior of Stalliongrad. We are eternally grateful."
"Wonderful, isn't it?" a snobby accent met Dash's own words."You know that Ursa Minor your friend Twilight defeated? It was a fine task...for somepony of her skill. I worked for months, learning from every master of the arts there was. I had no problem defeating the Ursa MAJOR...and Stalliongrad could not have been happier." Trixie grinned wide, her voice peppered with the mild demigod persona she flaunted so openly.
Dash growled lightly, trying to stare the mare down."I don't care what you've done, skill means nothing if your not a nice person...friendship is the most powerful magic there is, after all."
The unicorn scoffed, a hoof pressing against her statue. Dash responded by stepping closer, her own hoof pressing against the stone Trixie figure. They shuttered as magic flowed out of the statue, rocking them like an electric shock as the magical energy surged through their bodies.
In that instant, Dash and Trixie felt every emotion they had ever felt for each other, in the real world, and the other. Dash's mind was filled with their love, Trixie getting a similar emotional rush. The two yelped loudly, their hooves pulling back as they dropped to their knees.
Dash looked up, having both her own memory, and that of the other Dash's, the one that loved Trixie. Trixie also had the emotions that the other her had, from the fall, to Dash, to Luna and Nightmare, and even becoming dust. They shook lightly, tears welling in their eyes as they rushed towards each other, kissing passionately as they fell to the floor.
"Oh Trixie..."
"Dashie!"
Luna smiled lightly, standing on top of the statue, a familiar cyan cloud of magical dust whipping around in thin lines."Hehe, come on Trixie" Luan said to the cloud,"let's leave them...I think they will be fine." Luna giggled lightly as the cloud of magic glowed, communicating on another level, unable to be heard by anypony other than Luna."Yes...I believe you now...but admit it...it was a crazy story. Hmm? Yes...but you arrived at a bad time...admit that."
Luna flew off towards Canterlot, the magical dust following like a friendly poltergeist."Indeed Trixie, I know you couldn't control yourself, but talking to me during the Changeling invasion almost cost us the castle. . .fine, I forgive you, my protégée." Luna smiled wide, looking at the dust. It formed a faded, dull picture of Trixie, smiling as they flew together. Finally, Trixie and Luna would never have to be alone...ever again.
