Chapter 2: The Fashion ShowView OnlineHard to LoveChapter 2: The Fashion Show Rarity's Fashion show. It was a disaster. Simply disastrous. Fluttershy glumly walked into Rarity's Boutique, for she was one of her models. Other models were chit-chatting about but Fluttershy was much too scared to interact with anyone. "5 minutes!" Rarity exclaimed nervously. . Fluttershy slipped into her long, silky dress. It was a soft sea blue sprinkled with sequins on her top. She wore simple white flats which hurt her tiny toes but Fluttershy kept it in. Her long pink hair was all curled, but felt somehow unnatural. . The Fashion Show started and Fluttershy already had start to sweat. She was the last model to walk out so Fluttershy was terrified. Finally, it was her turn and Fluttershy pasted on a fake grin. She strutted out and the lights shined at her from all directions. She felt like a poor animal standing in front of a monster truck's headlights. Everyone was watching her every. Single. Move. They were giving her their undivided attention and Fluttershy squeaked. She slipped on her dress walking her way back and stumbled, which led her to falling. The crowd became aroused and a wave of giggles drowned Fluttershy. She lowered her head and walked backstage. "What happened, Fluttershy?" Rarity asked. "Nothing. I'm fine." Fluttershy wasn't in the mood for Rarity's sassy and stubborn mood to burst so she ran straight back home. She tore the dress off and changed into her cozy pajamas. She snuggled up into her bed, read a few pages of the current book she was reading, and fell into deep sleep.
PrologueView OnlineHard to LovePrologue Fluttershy sat on the couch with Thunder's arms wrapped around her body. They were watching Animal Planet and Fluttershy loved watching their TV shows. Life was perfect then, just her, TV, her boyfriend, and no interruptions. She sighed. This was the life. She wished every day was like this. She wished no thing else existed except for those 3. Fluttershy shook her head gently. She was becoming greedy. Fluttershy had to keep her shy reputation and she would not ruin it. Thunder looked down at Fluttershy with a worried face and kissed the top of Fluttershy's head. Suddenly, the door rang, and Fluttershy's heaven was broken. Thunder got up and opened the door. His warm arms left Fluttershy and she started to hug herself and closed her eyes. Fluttershy heard whispering between Dark Shadow and someone. Suddenly, she recognised the other voice immediately. Rarity! Fluttershy opened her eyes and smiled until Thunder leaned forward and kissed her. On the lips. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight. They did this for a moment more until Rarity pushed him back softly and left. Fluttershy blinked, in shock. She ran out the back door before Thunder could say a word and ran. She ran fast. Faster than she had ever ran before. Tears streamed down her yellow cheeks and her eyes turned red. She couldn't trust anyone anymore. No one.
Chapter 1: A Fresh StartView OnlineHard to LoveChapter 1: A Fresh Start Fluttershy sat in her quiet cottage, alone, with her animals. She sighed and started bringing out their lunch. "How could she even have liked him?! How could she have just dated him a month?!" she thought angrily. She gripped the bags and started pouring their food into separate bowls. Some one knocked on the door and opened it a little. "Fluttershy, darling?" She could recognize that perfect voice a mile away. "H-hi Rarity." Rarity walked in as Fluttershy watched her animals inhale their lunch. Fluttershy glanced over at Rarity and did a full body scan. Rarity wore a simple blue blouse and some jeans. For once she wore sneakers AND straightened her hair. She reminded her of Pinkie Pie when she was down. Rarity wore her signature fake eyelashes and makeup. Fluttershy was jealous. Simply jealous. Rarity could make anything work. She could cosplay as Rainbow and make it work! As some animals started hopping from their bowls, Rarity put a hand on her shoulder and said, "Fluttershy, I know you're still mad at me, but please get over it. I've put the past behind me and so should you. I was also jealous too when I realized you were dating Thunder. We both need a fresh start. A new canvas. A clear sky. I hope I can see you at my fashion show tonight!" And with that she walked out leaving Fluttershy alone, once again, with alot to think about.
Chapter 3: Dark ShadowView OnlineHard to LoveChapter 3: Dark Shadow Dark Shadow stared out his window inside the train headed to Ponyville. He watched the sun rise and thought about Princess Celestia. He was going to be studying the dark arts, and so was visiting the prestigious Princess Twilight Sparkle. He wasn't here to make friends or love. He was a part of the limited amount of students trusted enough to learn the dark arts. The train shortly stopped and Dark Shadow hopped out. He dragged his suitcase with his large hands and searched around in the sky for a big castle. He saw it immediately and thought how rich and powerful this young woman must be. He already felt jealous. It was as if she was bragging to everyone just how important she was and how lowly class everyone else. He didn't like Princess Twilight that much anymore. He was getting a weird vibe from her. Dark Shadow walked towards Princess Twilight Sparkle's large home slowly. He glanced around noticing just how many young women and girls there were. He rarely saw a guy walk by. He started getting a weird vibe from the whole frickin place. He knocked on the Princess's door and was ready to get in somewhere safe. Twilight opened the door the second she heard the faintest knock. She was waiting for this day for a long time and couldn't hold herself back from the excitement. She was going to become a teacher! Spike thought her excitement was a bit excessive and sarcastic but Twilight had always been a student, a scholar, and a mentor. When Twilight gained her unnatural wings normal humans don't normal obtain, Celestia had called her a teacher but deep inside, she really hadn't felt like one. But now, with Dark Shadow as her first student, she truly felt like a teacher, on the other side of the spectrum, and it felt different...yet good. Dark Shadow smiled gently at Princess Twilight Sparkle as she thrust open the door. He walked in and stared in amazement at the Princess's home. A wave of jealously and awe washed over Dark Shadow. A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling and the walls were painted a soft purple. Most of the furniture were also a soft purple, a dark violet, pink or white. A hallway led to another room and Dark Shadow cautiously walked in. A crystal table was in the center and 6 crystal chairs surrounded it. In 5 of those chairs, 5 young chatting and giggling women filled them. They seemed to almost be radiating...happiness! Dark Shadow started to feel awkward but luckily, Princess Twilight was there by his side to introduce him. "Girls, this is Dark Shadow. Dark Shadow, these are my friends!" They turned and smiled at him. They embraced him and a young woman with pink curly hair almost seemed to attack him with giggles and gasps. He smiled back. Dark Shadow knew that this new lifestyle was going to be a bit more interesting than his old.
