My Little Pony: Age of Extinction

Optimus followed the one named Twilight through the town he had crash landed by towards a large structure on the other side of the town. He had to stop every step though as a random pony would suddenly jump in front of his path causing him to almost step on them. “Excuse me Twilight” he said as she turned around to face him, “but… may you ask your pony friends… if they would stay inside until we crossed through your village?”

Twilight nodded understanding his problem and turning around, said, “Excuse me everypony, but could you all go back inside? I know we all had a rough night after Optimus landed, but its real late and I know a lot of us have to be up early.” Twilight smiled as soon everypony went inside. “Better?” she asked to which Optimus nodded and they continued on their way.

A few minutes later they had reached the large structure. To Optimus, it looked like a giant tree like the ones back on earth, but made of crystal, but to Twilight, it was home. Using her magic, she opened the door for her and Optimus to get in. Twilight walked in and turned to Optimus who was still standing outside. “Are you able to fit?” Twilight asked noticing the doorway was much too small for a 40 foot alien.

“Negative, at least, not in my current form.” Optimus said as he crouched down.

“Current form? What do you me-GAH!” Twilight screamed as Optimus’s entire body began to fall apart. But for some reason, his body wasn’t landing anywhere on the ground. Instead, his body parts seemed to… rearrange themselves. His arms sprang wheels out as his hands morphed together to form a gleaming shield with lights on the sides of it. The wheels touched the ground as his arm armor suddenly covered them, heading back to his body. Windows suddenly appeared from his insides as they covered his body, which was now hallowing itself out to make a small room of sorts. His head slid inside of him as his shoulder armor morphed together to form a cover for the room. The massive tubes that were sticking out of his back slid down towards the ground resting at the back of the room suddenly spewing steam for a few seconds. His legs finally sprang four more wheels as the armor he wore morphed into giant silver cylinders connecting themselves to the room and pipes as his feet folded up and connected themselves together and formed a small hitch looking like it was meant to haul stuff.

Twilight sat there motionless jaw dropped at the new form Optimus was in as the lights turned on and he drove into the castle. Suddenly one of the windows rolled down as his voice came from inside. “Shall we continue?” he asked as she shook her head and smiled.

“Sorry about that. Yes. We can!” Twilight flapped her wings and flew to the throne as Optimus followed her. Soon they arrived and Twilight took her seat. Optimus then after making sure the room was big enough for him, transformed back into robot mode. “How were you able to do that? Change shape I mean.”

Optimus leaned down and sat on the floor, then replied, “All of our kind has the ability to transform. The ability to transform is granted to us by our T-cog. It is a part of our biology, makes us who we are.” Optimus noticed that Twilight’s horn was glowing as were a piece of paper and a quell as it was writing stuff onto the paper. “What exactly are you doing?” he asked

“Oh, I was taking notes. I hope you don’t mind. I like to study a lot of things” she said smiling.

“I have no problem with that, but what I was referring to is whats wrong with your horn?” Twilight looked up at her glowing horn then back to Optimus.

“Oh! Its glowing cause I’m using magic to hold this paper and quell” She said as Optimus stared in confusion.

“Magic? I do not understand…” Twilight frowned and responded “Well… seeing as though you don’t know what magic is… Im guessing it would be very hard to explain ehehe…” Twilight said as Optimus simply nodded. Twilight then yawned and said, “Anyways… its getting kinda late. I should probably go to bed Optimus. Your welcome to stay here if you like.” Optimus for the first time in forever gave a small smile at the kindness this pony was showing him.

“Thank you Twilight Sparkle” he said, then begun converting back into vehicle mode for the night.

“Your welcome” Twilight said smiling and walked up to her room for the night.

Twilight awoke to the sound of knocking outside her castle and stuck her head out tiredly out the window and looked down to see her friends. “Hey girls! Hang on, Ill get the gate open!” Twilight shouted at her friends as she used her magic to open the door for her friends. She then went back inside as her friends came inside.

“Say, did any of y’all feel that trembling last night?” Applejack asked as they walked to the throne room.

“Well I for sure felt it” Rarity said as she shook her mane out of her eyes while still keeping it stylish, “It nearly had my entire ensemble topple onto the floor”.

“Does anypony know what actually MADE the trembling?” Rainbow Dash asked as they neared the thrones doors.

“OH OH I KNOW!” Pinkie Pie said cheerfully. “It was a giant mechanical pony that stood on two legs!” everypony else gave her the most confused look they could ever give Somepony.

“Uh… Not that I don’t trust you Pinkie Pie… but I find that hard to believe” Fluttershy said as they walked into the room only to spot a metal carriage with red and blue flames sitting in the throne room.

“Uh… what’s that?” Rainbow Dash asked just as Twilight and Spike were walking down the stairs into the room.

“Hey Girls”, Twilight said as her friends noticed her.

“Hey Twilight! How’s it going?” Rainbow Dash asked flying over towards her friend.

“Alright I guess. Last night was kind of hectic.” Twilight said as she turned to the metal carriage. “Good Morning Optimus” “Huh?” All of her friends said as if Twilight had lost her mind.

“Twilight dear, I think you might need to get some more sleep” Rarity said as she walked over to her friend, “Your clearly suffering from sleep depression.”

“Huh? What are you talking about? I’m fine, just saying good morning to Optimus. Guess he’s still asleep.” Twilight said as the carriage suddenly started up a strange revving sound. The girls all except Twilight gasped and jumped back in fear as it came to life without nopony touching it. A few seconds later, the carriage begun to transform.

The front split apart and slammed into the ground as what appeared to be a room in the middle split as well, covering the lower end of the carriage and sprang two large feet. The front end had also sprung out what appeared to be two large claws as the silver section of it began to fold in. the front of the room suddenly leaned forward, attaching the newly formed arms to itself as the silver pipes shrunk and attached to its back. The windows went inside the room as pieces of the carriage began to move into their place, making armor as the silver section folded up under it, forming a torso. The legs slid into place at the torso as the wheels all began to split apart and hid inside the legs and body as it began to stand up. A few bits of the carriage moved around to form armor as finally a head sprang from the body, with a battle mask covering its face for a few seconds until it slide back to reveal its face. Then everypony but Twilight and Pinkie Pie were gasping at the 40 foot metal being standing before them as it leaned down towards them.

“Oh THERE you are Metal guy!” Pinkie Pie said running up towards him, “Ive been wondering where you went! I need to throw you your ‘WELCOME TO PONYVILLE’ Party!” The giant looked down at the pony blinking, then spoke in a deep voice that calmed the other girls down.

“First off young one, my name is not ‘Metal Guy’. My name is Optimus Prime. Second, I am sorry to burst your bubble, but if you did throw this ‘party’, I would not attend.” Pinkie Pie suddenly frowned as her mane flattened a bit. Optimus saw this and continued. “I am sure it would be an wonderful party, but as a Prime, I have a great responsibility, and as such, Primes don’t party.”

Pinkie pie then smiled and replied, “Oh Ok! That’s fine.” She then hopped over to her friends. “But I still have to do something to welcome you to Ponyville!” Optimus nodded and turned his attention to Twilight.

“Greetings Twilight Sparkle.” He said to which she smiled and said, “Good Morning Optimus. Optimus, this is Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity.” Everypony responded with a wave or nod when their names where called out. “Girls, this is Optimus Prime. He crash landed outside of Ponyville last night and I brought him here to stay until he repairs himself.” The girls finally began to walk over to him and examine him.

“Well I’ll be. You sure are fancy Optimus. You’re like our steam trains, but more High-tech!” Applejack said as Optimus simply watched.

“So Optimus, where are you from? Why did you leave there? And where were you going before you came here?” Twilight asked to which Optimus responded, “It is a long and painful story Young Ones.”

Twilight frowned at hearing the word “Painful”. “I’m guessing you wouldn’t want to talk about it then?” She asked.

“Negative. Perhaps you could all learn a thing or two from my kind.” Twilight squealed at the thought of learning and suddenly had her quell and paper ready to take notes. Optimus blinked at the squeal and looked to the others to explain.

“Don’t mind her. She’s kind of an ‘Egghead’.” Rainbow Dash explained to which Optimus nodded and turned back to Twilight.

“Well of COURSE I want to learn about another race Rainbow, but I also want to have notes for when I write to Princess Celestia about this!” Optimus then stood up to full height and replied, “Then we might as well go see this Princess Celestia. I am positive that it would be much better to hear the story come from myself than to take someone word for it.”

Twilight thought for a second then nodded. “True. I can see your logic there.” Optimus then bent over and morphed into his alternate form and honked a horn at the girls as two doors opened up.

“Does he want us to get in?” Fluttershy asked to which the carriage honked again and drove over to them.

“I’m taking that as a yes. Come on girls!” Twilight said as she walked towards Optimus.
