"Oh dear Celestia it's so hot today!" Rarity complained as she and spike stepped out of her house.

"Phew. Your right about that. It sure is hot." Spike said before putting one scaly foot on the brick sidewalk before yelping from the blistering heat of the pavement.

"Spike! Are you alright?!?" Rarity cried out.

"Hot! Hot! Hot!" The tiny dragon said as he hopped from feet to feet before jumping onto the pony's back.

"Spike?"

"I'm fine. Just- ah! My feet!"

The small dragon's feet was indeed smoking red with 1st degree foot burn. Ironic seeing that he was a dragon.

"Oh my! We better get you some medical attention."

The pony paused before stepping onto the searing hot pavement with her bare hooves.

"Um, I have a better idea." She said before lighting up her horn and with a flash they disappeared.

Instead of appearing at the local hospital they reappeared at Sugarcube corner.

"Uh, Rarity? This isn't the hospital."

"It appears that I've may have overshot it a bit. None of the less I'm getting you the medical care you need. We just need to find someone is all."

"Why don't we go inside so I can at least get a sundae."

"How is that going to ease your burning feet?"

"it's not. It's for my burning mouth. (laughs)."

"(giggles) I guess that's true."

The two entered the shop. Inside Pinkie pie was nose deep in a giant bowl of ice cream.

"Hey guys! Heard about my world's famous Mt.Flurry did ya!"

"Well spike was hoping to get some ice cream if that's what you mean."

"I'll take it! Come on, hop in Spike!"

Spike immediately dove head first into the bowl splashing Pinkie and Twilight who was reading at a table.

"Spike be careful!" the purple mare cried out.

"Well what do you expect me to do? It's as hot as the sun itself out there."

"It is? Huh, It wasn't this morning."

Twilight stepped outside to experience the same treatment Spike received.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Twilight said retreating back inside.

"Told ya."

"This doesn't make any sense. I'm going to talk to the princess about this."

True to her word the young mare was on her way to the royal city Canterlot.

In Canterlot city:

"Sister can you please explain what you are doing with the sun?" The moon mare asked in an annoyed tone.

"Luna I promise you I have no idea what's going on." The sun mare answered in a reassuring tone.

"So you have no clue of why the sun is positioned closer to the earth?"

"It's what?"

Celestia rushed over to the balcony where the telescope was kept. Peeking through it the large sphere was slightly larger than normal, proof that the lunar mare was correct.

"I don't believe this. What could this mean?"

The sun princess spent the whole morning on the balcony trying to figure out the situation with the sun. Several guards asked her to come down for lunch but she declined for this was a critical problem that needed to be solved. A few minutes of surveillance showed that the sun wasn't satisfied in it's new position and it was now moving closer.
