He needed more supplies for his new magic portal. He was going to rob the local jewelry store while invisible; this would confuse the living hell out of the locals. The security tapes could not be touched due to an alarm system that would automatically go off in the night if the any doors were opened. The police station was right across the street and they always would notice if something was suspicious, if anyone entered the shop they would be caught. Not today, they would never see a thing except maybe an odd ripple on the door. They would have footage of an invisible robber taking everything; this will probably make news headlines for weeks. I came up to the glass door looking around to make sure no one was near. I cast a quick spell to hold the glass in its current shape and then cast a spell to change the viscosity of the glass to that of water. I dived through it careful not to get any in my eyes of mouth landing on the other side. I stood up and started looking around for all the cut gems I could see, no need to take everything. Shortly after I had found all of the gems that I needed I teleported strait into my bag. Teleportation takes a lot out of most and it is almost impossible to teleport yourself more than ten feet. Inanimate objects are much easier to teleport, though I had teleported a lot of items through a liquid and I was exhausted. Yes, if you’re wondering glass is a liquid that is also why I could dive through the door with some magical intervention. I left through the door I entered still invisible standing up and walking back home I ran straight into a drunk as soon as i turned around. My invisibility faded as I fell back spilling all the jewelry onto the ground. “whoa man whre’d ya get all th jewelry?” he said obviously too drunk to realize that I was stealing them. “Heheh I was just bringing these to my friend who asked me to carry them, yeah that’s where I got em… my friend! I said trying to come up with the best lie possible which wasn’t very hard considering he was drunk. “OH MAH GOD, DID YOU STEAL THEM!?” “What, no no no no!” I tried to stop him from yelling while I picked up the jewelry, I need those gems! SHIT! “Freeze! Police!” came two separate voices from behind me about ten seconds later. I put up my hands while I changed the aprerance of my face so it didn’t give my identity away. I slowly turned around to see four police officers pointing their guns at me eager to see me run they probably never got action around here. I grinned with my new face that I had copied from my memory from my visit to London of a Canadian tourist. I quickly brought up an invisible shield around me with out moving my hands to protect me from the shots that would no doubt be fired. “Catch me if you can Mother Fuckers!” I screamed dashing off faster than any Olympic runner ever could. So fast that I could finish the 100 meter sprint in one second, magic enhancements are fun. I then received a multitude of gunshots to the back, good thing I put up that shield that would have hurt! I could hear the police start screaming something about how that didn’t just happen. It took about 5 minutes at my speed to make it to the small forested area in which I lived and could conduct my experiments peacefully. I took out all my gems in my basement and began to pry them out of their metal imprisonment with some pliers. It took a while but I eventually got them all out and piled them in the center of the room, taking the scrap metals to one of my back rooms. I returned with a book on permanent portals that I had been studying recently, it was what I needed the gems for now all I needed was some chalk and some raw magic being channeled by me to open the portal. If this worked i could teleport back here from anywhere! I grabbed the chalk that I had and started writing the runes and placing the required gem into all ten of them and in the center was a diamond. I read the book over again and looked to see that I needed to be standing within the middle ring when I start the flow of magic to start the formation of the portal. I took my place in the centre and started the flow of my magic. Within a minute the lines were glowing an odd red shade while the gems where turning a cyan colour. There was a sudden bright flash of light from the center where the diamond was, this was not supposed to happen! The book said it was supposed to be a gradually growing light not a sudden flash. I couldn’t stop either the book said that if I stop it would explode. I had to continue or else I would likely die, unexpectedly I was suddenly engulfed in a flash of bright white light then everything went dark. * * * I opened my eyes; all that came back was blackness. Confused I tried to scream out trying be heard. Nothing came, I had no idea what was happening and started to panic. My silent screams went unheard in the darkness. After some time of panic I had finally calmed down, I couldn’t move, see or make a sound so I would have to wait here until I regained the ability to or if something came and helped me. * * * After about an hour of waiting I saw something glowing at the edge of my eyesight but found I couldn’t look, i still had sight. I laid there motionless despite my efforts to send a message to the mysterious glow. It put its face right above mine, if I could I would have screamed in surprise, what I saw was not a human but a horse like being with a midnight blue coat and huge round eyes. Damn, if I didn't know better i'd think that its only sense was sight, that's how big they are. It had a horn on the top of its head and was staring at me questioningly. I couldn’t respond and it took note of that and backed away giving me a full view of the equine. She was about my size and also seemed to have wings that matched her coat colour. “I will help you but you must tell me all you know about how you got here when we are out of the void.” She said rather calmly, well calmly in my eyes I was still freaking out so I saw it as an entity of calmness. So now that I found that she could talk I was almost scared shitless. I didn’t respond all I did was stare at her, guessing by the feminine voice that also strangely had a lot of power behind it, she was female. Her horn started to glow quickly charging up to a huge light that looked solid around the horn. That same light enveloped my body and I felt the all to familiar sensation of teleportation that I had learned to hate. I awoke to something nudging my side. I groggily opened my eyes and found myself staring at a horse with a midnight blue coat. Wait… Processing… Processing… DONE! I had met her in the void as she called it she had helped me in some way. She gave me the most confused look I had ever seen, ok not good not good she was really well known apparently. “My name is Luna, Princess Luna and you are in Equestria ruled by me and my sister Princess Celestia, How do you not know this she has been in rule for around two thousand years. I have just recently been released from the moon two years ago after my one thousand year imprisonment. Now tell me what where you doing in the void, only immortals who have failed great feats are sent there.” I looked at her in astonishment; I then decided to look at myself… I screamed. I motioned her to remove her hoof. She shook her head mouthing the words no. I have no idea how i could know what she was trying to get across, her mouth movements were similar to that of a humans i guess. I decided it would be a good idea to go invisible and remove any scent, I was around a different species I wasn’t sure if i could trust in an inability to smell each other out. As I seemingly disappeared from existence Luna let out a small gasp frantically looking around for me. “I’m still here go ahead and let your sister in i’ll be in one of the corners of the room.” She looked fairly confused but accepted it with a nod. I saw her horn glow as her door swung open revealing another horse with a mane and tail blowing in a seemingly non-existent breeze. She had a pure white coat and her mane seemed to be a lighter version of a rainbow. She also had a horn and some huge wings. She seemed to be wearing golden shoes, a golden necklace and a tiara with purple amethysts in the centres of both the necklace and tiara. She looked around the room then to Luna who was grinning sheepishly. This huge white horse seemed to know that someone else was in the room. Wait she said somepony so apparently they are ponies, I’ll stick with somepony for the time i'm here i guess. “Luna I know somepony is in here show me where you can’t hide this from me.” that motherly tone, I have no idea how she can keep it like that. “But Celly there's nopony else here.” Celly? I have a feeling that's a nickname. “Luna I heard another voice in here other than yours, we both know that you're the only pony that can teleport in and out of here. Luna had questions for me, a lot of questions. Things like are you really immortal, how did you get sent to the void and how can you use magic. I answered these as truthfully as possible leaving out that I was a human of course. I looked over my shoulder thinking nothing else could surprise me now, I was so very horribly wrong. “HOLYSHIT I HAVE WINGS!?” Luna who was watching me the entire time quickly stuck a hoof into my mouth, she looked extremely worried. I motioned her to remove her hoof. She shook her head mouthing the words no. I have no idea how i could know what she was trying to get across, her mouth movements were similar to that of a humans i guess. I sat there in silence for about ten seconds waiting for her to do something. She was glaring at her door with her horn glowing still keeping her hoof in my mouth. She may have magic, i wonder if it's common here i thought to myself. I heard a commotion outside the door then some quick knocking. “Luna are you ok in there, i heard yelling. Is somepony in there with you?” Some voice that was oddly motherly said “Um no sister I just slipped and yelled in panic.” “Ok but could you let me in I want to make sure you’re ok, you’ve been acting a little off lately.” “Uh sure sister just give me a minute.” “Hide!” luna whispered hurriedly to me pulling her hoof from my mouth. I decided it would be a good idea to go invisible and remove any scent, I was around a different species I wasn’t sure if i could trust in an inability to smell each other out. As I seemingly disappeared from existence Luna let out a small gasp frantically looking around for me. “I’m still here go ahead and let your sister in i’ll be in one of the corners of the room.” She looked fairly confused but accepted it with a nod. I saw her horn glow as her door swung open revealing another horse with a mane and tail blowing in a seemingly non-existent breeze. She had a pure white coat and her mane seemed to be a lighter version of a rainbow. She also had a horn and some huge wings. She seemed to be wearing golden shoes, a golden necklace and a tiara with purple amethysts in the centres of both the necklace and tiara. She looked around the room then to Luna who was grinning sheepishly. This huge white horse seemed to know that someone else was in the room. Wait she said somepony so apparently they are ponies, I’ll stick with somepony for the time i'm here i guess. “Luna I know somepony is in here show me where you can’t hide this from me.” that motherly tone, I have no idea how she can keep it like that. “But Celly there's nopony else here.” Celly? I have a feeling that's a nickname. “Luna I heard another voice in here other than yours, we both know that you're the only pony that can teleport in and out of here. Where is this pony?” “But Celly there’s nopony in here.” Wow she is a horrible liar this may not turn out too well. “So you won’t mind if I look everywhere in your room would you?” “Uhm n-no, not at all.” Wow she’s stuttering now does she not have any faith in me that I can stay undetected? The pony Celly as Luna called her cast a spell and everything started to be enveloped in her magical glow that was a bright yellow seemingly brightening the already well lit room. I just noticed the room seems to look like the night sky with all the furniture floating and being opened i actually got a good look at the design. I was still standing in a corner waiting for her to finish her useless search. I was in plain sight, well not really I'm invisible but that’s besides the point. She eventually set everything into its original spot “Luna i know somepony is in here, where is he hiding tell me you’ve done nothing wrong.” WHAT she knows the yell was male she won’t ever stop searching... crap! “W-wh-what what makes you think there's a stallion here in here? “Luna i heard the yell it was definitely male. Now where is he?” Luna sighed she wasn’t going to tell her her my location likely for my sake. I am supposedly in a bedroom of a Princess... this won’t turn out well. “Over here!” I projected my voice from the other side of the room placing an illusion of my pony self in the same spot. I apparently had Bright red eyes and a short messy cyan mane and tail with a black streak in each. Wow i look a little badass for a pony. Before i could check myself out more a streak of magic flew across the room and hit my illusion causing it to dissipate. The beam of magic hit the wall doing nothing to it. I guess it was electrical, something to stun someo-pony. Luna was staring at her sister shocked at what she had just witnessed her sister do. “Sister? Why did you do that and WHAT did you do to him!” “I-it was j-just as stun spell i have no idea what happened!” HA totally called it, it was a stun spell! I’m totally going to milk this for all its worth. I walked up behind her using a spell on myself so i don’t make any noise. I decided I should use a shield to absorb physical force and magical energy for when any of those come into contact with me... just incase. I came up behind this pony that had tried to stun fake me with magic and i saw that on her flank was a sun how odd i wonder what that is supposed to mean. I glanced at Luna who looked like she was about to break into tears she had a moon on her flank... odd. “Poke!” I said playfully poking the white pony in the side my invisibility dissipating. She jumped back not knowing how the heck i had snuck up on her and started flapping her wings. looking at me with surprise and a hint of anger she fired another bolt of magic at me. The magic looked like it was absorbed into my skin. looked at her with a fake sad face. “That wasn’t very nice, you could hurt somepony with that magic.” She looked at me dumbfounded mouth wide open in shock. I guess she decided firing more at me would work, I just kept on absorbing them with a questioning look in my eye. She finally stopped seeing that it was getting nowhere. “Who are you! How is it possible that you can just shrug off the most powerful stun spell in the history of equestria!” I started to laugh to myself then she gave me the death glare so I gulped down the laughter. “My name is Caloo, I stopped your spells with a simple magic barrier that i learned when i was nine and who are you may I ask? Her face flashed with confusion at that, Luna had already mentioned her name was Celestia but u just had to ask. “How do you not know of me? I am Princess Celestia I’ve been the princess for 2000 years in Equestria!” “I’m new here.” I shrugged, no better explanation. It was luna’s turn to butt in. “Sister i brought him in from the void, he was freaking out when he woke up hence the yelling... You should leave i need to talk with him.” “Alright sister but be careful you don't know what hes like.” Celestia sighed reluctantly leaving the room.” “So, where were you from?” This was going to be a very, very long discussion... *I have no idea why but i have no self confidence in writing, you like or no like? Any grammatical errors? D:*
Ch.3: Luna why you so silly?*Well sorry this took like 2-3 weeks I had no idea what I was going to do. My options were explain and have a stupidly long talk or summarize the whole thing or have some sort of distraction from it and do it over time...* (That was my author's note two weeks after I released chapter 2, so sorry for delaying this. Also I hate myself just as much as you hate me for the delay!) I honestly don’t want to tell you everything that delayed this but I will. Firstly the last few weeks of school with all the exams and studying, next summer laziness for two weeks (fuck me right?), then I moved on the first of August so the two weeks before and the week after were hectic. That about covers it! Thoughts I’m really lazy about will be in Italics. Also I would like to say that I have no idea what I’m doing with perspective in this chapter, Tell me if I messed up. Luna had questions for me, a lot of questions. Things like are you really immortal, how did you get sent to the void and how can you use magic. I answered these as truthfully as possible leaving out that I was a human of course. I didn’t want to be swamped with questions, I needed to find out where I was. “Wait here while I go talk to my sister about getting you a room in the castle,” she said after I had explained to her that I was not from equestria. She left so I decided to look around the room for something interesting to do. Luna had yet to answer my questions so I decided to look for a history book on the small bookshelf she had in her room. Reading the covers for anything that concerned history I came across a rather large picture book. Inside were tapestries with small words underneath each picture that were almost so small that if you were far enough away you would think there were only pictures in the book. I started to read... “Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together, and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus, the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies. But as time went on, the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the younger unicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness: NightMare Moon. She vowed that she would shroud the land in eternal night. Reluctantly, the elder sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to ponydom: the Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her younger sister, and banished her permanently in the moon. The elder sister took on responsibility for both sun and moon and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since.” “Wow...” I said outloud, Luna said she had returned after one thousand years so this book must be out-dated and... slightly wrong. I thought about how the book said the banishment was permanent, that must have been hard on Celestia. To banish her sister to the moon thinking it would be for an eternity. Then again she must have been overjoyed when she saw her again after one thousand years. I shoved the book back where I had taken it from and walked around the room thinking of something to do. Maybe a simple scan of my body? Yes, I really need to do that just to make sure that I can cast enhancement spells without some... drawbacks. Don’t ask what those are, painful memories. I cast the spell having an image come into my mind as I memorized everything about it. I was a pony with wings of course but analyzing my body I couldn’t see how I would be able to fly. I weighed around 100 pounds according to my scan, how could these wings lift that? Something to find out on a later date I guess. Okay so I’m in some random world with talking ponies, unicorns and pegasi who also have immortal monarchs, seems legit. Speaking of immortal monarchs Luna left rather quickly didn’t she? Was she nervous or maybe even scared or was she really so impulsive? Meh, it’s not like it matters I may as well be her friend for the time being until I can find a way back to earth. Sitting there thinking I didn’t notice the hoofsteps behind me until it was too late. Luna tackled me from behind sending me tumbling to the ground yelping while she grasped me hoping to keep me from recovering from the force of her tackle. It worked, I hit the floor with a small thud rewarding Luna with a groan. She took that as a signal to get off while I just layed there wondering if it was still a good idea to befriend her. “You okay?” she asked suppressing a giggle. “Ya,” I answered sarcastically “I get tackled by ponies almost two times my size everyday, it’s no big deal.” “That’s great I thought we-I had hurt you for a second.” Apparently she doesn’t understand sarcasm because that hurt. What? She's heavy compared to me! I got up, turned around and gave her an are you fucking kidding me look. Seeing her face it looked like she was suppressing a laugh. Not an easy one to hold apparently because she bursts out laughing falling to the ground and clutching her sides with her forelegs. My face displayed what I believe to be a deadpan stare as she kept on laughing for a good five minutes eventually slowing to a low pitched giggle. Opening her eyes and rubbing a tear out of her eye Luna looked up at me immediately her expression turned into a small frown. As she got up she avoided my gaze and actually whimpered quietly. After an awkward silence lasting for a good three minutes she whispered something that I couldn’t quite catch. “What was that?” I asked not understanding what she said. “I- so-” she mumbled in a barely audible way. “Sorry, couldn’t quite catch that,” I said trying not to be too impolite. “I’m sorry,” Luna squeaked out. Now, I’m not one to hold grudges for long nor am I one who gets mad easily but she should know better then to just tackle somepony smaller than them. Wait, did I just use somepony instead of someone in my thought process? Anyways getting crushed by a pony almost two times your size hurts, a lot. Don’t think of me as weak or something along the lines of that, you get crushed by somepony significantly larger than you and see how you feel. “It’s ok Luna I forgive you,” I said sincerely “Just don’t do it again...” “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” The Princess of the night said cheerfully “You won’t regret forgiving us!” at that she hugged me, that’s right the Princess Luna hugged me. Eat it. “Would you like to be my friend Caloo?” Just as I was about to answer yes she asked, “You are going to be alive forever are you not?” Luna saying this left me unsure of myself now. Seeing as how I wanted to make my way home as quickly as possible and how she wanted our friendship to last forever as we would both be living forever. Leaving would hurt Luna If I got close enough to her as a friend then just left at my first chance. I decided to chance it and see where it went so I answered still hugging her, “I would be honored to be your friend Luna”
